Bubble Rancher by recursor 2023-01-10T23:34:59Z
Awesome! Love that there's no time limit, that you can just take your time to move bubbles around. Also, most perfect sound effect on transitions between levels. ππ

Haha, I hate these bugs, trying to shoot them from as much distance possible. π UI work + feedback (highlights, bounces, etc. when something happens) would be nice additions. Also, didn't really felt the pressure, maybe difficulty / speed could be increased? Also like the multipurpose gun, one tool to plant, kill bugs and harvest is great!
Love the graphics, super readable. Controls are great too, hovering on wheat to collect is very satisfying. It's an original tower defense, and it's hard to achieve that in such category. πππ
Oh wow, I really enjoyed that one! I love tower defense games where you can run around and fight while building. πππ
Excellent game! Lemmings but way more dynamic, had such a great time, thank you!
Graphics + Audio = β€οΈ Simple yet fun mechanic, I enjoyed it! π
Love the art! Also love the detail of little mice waiting in the house while I protect them from mean vegetables. π
Very nice! It's very clear, super easy to understand what you have to do and how to progress. Love the fact that the towers can fall appart. π Well done!
Graphics are delightful! Fun and challenging + super aligned with the theme. Well done!! π
Smoot, easy to read & control, nice graphics, challenging, well it has everything that makes a good game! π Gameplay variations is what could be added (new enemies, weapons, etc.), not easy while on the clock, I do prefer quality over quantity. π
Nice one! It's good to be able to move around to defend your constructions, it helps a lot when building more resource stations than turrets. π Good game!
Very good! π I could spend a lot on time on this, though I'm really good at it... (couldn't go past level 3 π ) Jumping with W is a bit counter intuitive for me, I'm always tempted to use space bar instead.
Cool game! I didn't notice the door in the fence at first, took me a while to get out. π Well done!
Cool game! Agree with @danmerey, I think free angle would be nice, but mastering controls whatever they are is also part of the challenge. π I enjoyed harvesting! πΎπΎπΎ
Soothing experience while also challenging! I like that! βΊοΈ
Adorable & challenging puzzle game! Well done! π
Nice game, lovely graphics! Even though the music is good too, it doesn't really works with what's happening on screen. I wouldn't hear such a peaceful melody in my head while fighting against that many rats. π I wished I could upgrade my weapon at some point to kill rats more efficiently. Ended up saving 19 crops, is that good? π
Evil birds from space... I like that! Interesting take on the theme and tower defense gender. I quickly ended up player zoomed out as much as possible not to miss anything, but it's harder to place trees then and appreciate buttons. Maybe you could use the angle when a planet is selected to and not require the cursor to be on the surface to place trees. Basically, not having to move the camera around + zoom in/out would allow to better appreciate the action I think. Overall, nice entry! Especially for a first one!
Agree about the jump, air movement sideways seems to sensitive or maybe we fall to slow. In a platformer like this, getting controls right can make a huge difference. Love the graphics and the minimap!
@paroxysmal thanks, oh yes Y-invert should be supported by the platform, I'll report this! π
@drunkardwolf Thanks! Yes also got the same feedback regarding jumping from my friends. I'll make adjustments. Didn't really get to test multiplayer much during the jam, only against myself, and a friend during the last hour. π The Cubzh platform is super young, there are only servers for multiplayer only in Europe so far, may explain network lag.
@rickylee if players have names, it means they have created an account on the Cubzh platform, not at all mandatory, but youβre called βguestβ while anonymous. Thanks for your comment!
@eroxxie Canβt promise a full game, but Iβll at least fix all issues encountered after a lot of post-jam play test. π (keeping this one as is, but will provide another link)
@muriel Thanks for the kind words! Yes, the code is in one file, and you can only do one file anyway in Cubzh for now... π I created a proper repo to add both models I created (apple + map), trees are done by code: https://github.com/aduermael/ld52
@slush So glad to here that! βΊοΈ
@stevencolling Thanks! Kind of an unfair advantage for me, I've been professionally working on this problem for quite a while: "how can multiplayer become easy to implement?". π
@math-daemon Oh thanks, I didn't think about that... since I do have a username + custom avatar myself. π But several players named "guest" with similar avatars are certainly hard to differentiate. I could at least use concatenate with the player ID (guest1, guest2, etc.) I think you were lucky to meet someone randomly! Though I do have little system with notifications when players join, in case I'm available and fast enough to join (doesn't work that often fortunately π)
@patrickrmc Oh, that's too bad you couldn't play! What browser did you use? Would love to know more about the issue. π
I had fun! π Maybe it's me but I would prefer to use right click to plant & harvest. Also, I think the enemy movement could be improved, they often end up really packed.
Haha, I had to retry 3 times to beat the AI, so the balance is pretty good, for my skills. π Well done!
Rating based on the video because I unfortunately don't have a spare Windows machine... But it looks real good, awesome graphics, even the video is relaxing despite trees being punched. π Well done!
