Very cute...like an updated Minecraft. Annoying for me to play though without a Y-invert for the camera. Great entry though.

A fun and pretty well made little game. Sadly my opponent left the game pretty quickly, but okay it meant I won. Overall a good jam game. Well done.
Really cool entry, tons of respect for making a multiplayer game in a jam. Found jumping a bit hard, not sure if there was a bit of network lag going on though. Overall very fun, forced my friends to play for a bit too and they also thought it was fun :) Nice graphics too
@paroxysmal thanks, oh yes Y-invert should be supported by the platform, I'll report this! π
@drunkardwolf Thanks! Yes also got the same feedback regarding jumping from my friends. I'll make adjustments. Didn't really get to test multiplayer much during the jam, only against myself, and a friend during the last hour. π The Cubzh platform is super young, there are only servers for multiplayer only in Europe so far, may explain network lag.
@aduermael makes sense, I've had trouble with similar issues when working on multiplayer stuff, definitely wouldn't want to be tackling those kinds of problems during a game jam ahaha
I love this! Simple fun multiplayer FPS that is unbelievably polished for a game jam game. I was lucky enough to join with a couple of people and I had a fun few rounds harvesting apples and throwing em around. Got nothing bad to say about this game.
I had alotta fun playing this! Would be nice to have a little shield on spawn, cuz I feel like no one likes getting killed right when they spawn :>
A highly addicting game! Would love to see this as a full game in the future!
Really fun! I couldn't figure out how to change my username from guest though? I know its possible because my opponent had a name haha ^^
@rickylee if players have names, it means they have created an account on the Cubzh platform, not at all mandatory, but youβre called βguestβ while anonymous. Thanks for your comment!
@eroxxie Canβt promise a full game, but Iβll at least fix all issues encountered after a lot of post-jam play test. π (keeping this one as is, but will provide another link)
Wow as some said respect, I need to check a bit Cubzh as it is the first time I know about it but yeah to be able to pull out a multiplayer game in a Jam it is super impressive also the graphics are nice IDK what else to say keep up with the great work as it looks like you are very good at what you do :) Congratulations on your entry.
BTW: All the code is in one file?? XD That is very interesting, again good job :)
@muriel Thanks for the kind words! Yes, the code is in one file, and you can only do one file anyway in Cubzh for now... π I created a proper repo to add both models I created (apple + map), trees are done by code: https://github.com/aduermael/ld52
How can you make a multiplayer game.I really enjoy this!
A multiplayer combat game. How cool it is !!!
Holy cow this is actually really fun! Got some of my buddies to join and had a grand old time!
Amazing, what a fun game, and you did that in 48 hours? Crazy! :O
@slush So glad to here that! βΊοΈ
@stevencolling Thanks! Kind of an unfair advantage for me, I've been professionally working on this problem for quite a while: "how can multiplayer become easy to implement?". π
@aduermael it's not an unfair advantage if you worked for it! :D
Game is pretty, and the atmosphere is good. Gameplay is simple but fun. The controls are a bit unsatisfying. It's very hard to jump around as your horizontal speed is really high. Just climbing up the stairs from the bottom of the map, took many tries, even after playing for a bit. Theme is stretched. But good entry.
Good idea giving the main link a worldId, so it was quick and easy to get put into a match with another random user. It must be hard getting a multiplayer game played in a jam but you've done well with this one. It's very cute and fast-paced, though I struggled to jump up to the higher platforms because of the run speed!
Woah, you made that in just 48h?! That's crazy, the game is awesome!
I actually did not have to wait longer than just a few secs until someone joined the server. Did not expect that, did expect it to be very hard to have people meet each other randomly in such kind of a game. Me and the other player were both named 'guest' so i don't know who was on the 1st place podium at the end  As others have mentioned, i had a hard time climbing from the bottom platform to the upper area as well, you feel very vulnerable to attacks when struggling to go up there. Besides that, it was super enjoyable, wished my opponent would have stayed for a couple more rounds.
Very fun idea!
@math-daemon Oh thanks, I didn't think about that... since I do have a username + custom avatar myself. π But several players named "guest" with similar avatars are certainly hard to differentiate. I could at least use concatenate with the player ID (guest1, guest2, etc.) I think you were lucky to meet someone randomly! Though I do have little system with notifications when players join, in case I'm available and fast enough to join (doesn't work that often fortunately π)
@aduermael haha I was wondering when playing if there is such a functionality and my opponent was the creator of the game
This is absolutely ridiculously good for something built this fast. And the game is actually active too! I had no trouble matching an opponent. I struggled at it because I've never played minecraft but the action was there, movement and controls did feel responsive even though I'm a noob.
I didn't get to match with an opponent but I still played around for a bit and I'm very impressed that you managed to get this working in a weekend. I don't think I've ever seen an online game made in a jam before so congrats. The gameplay seemed very intuitive and the concept was very on theme. I did find the jump sound effects a bit annoying but that's a very minor detail. I wish I could have matched with somebody to get a better idea of how combat works and whether you can hear their footsteps and grunts. If I were to make one improvement then I would suggest increasing the jump height. It was pretty hard to get where I wanted sometimes. Great job!
Sadly I wasn't able to start the game, however I do appreciate that you provided a video for cases like this. Always gotta respect the use of non mainstream engines and even your own engines and frameworks. Good take on the theme. Good job!
@patrickrmc Oh, that's too bad you couldn't play! What browser did you use? Would love to know more about the issue. π
@aduermael , Firefox, never thought to try it on Chrome so I'll give it another chance when I'm back home.
hey it's cool...it's kinda feels like in a world of minecraft with catchy design...at start it was a bit difficult but yes...time goes it's good good and good..nice work
