The controls were hard to get used to! But once I got the hang of them it was fun!
Pretty cool, I attempted the normal mode, which ended up in around 40 gamelads before I went over to the easy mode, but it's really cool that you managed to make so many mini games in such short amount of time :)
Pretty fun game, the art was pretty good and the audio got the job done, I like the way you used the theme "Running out of space" as running out of sockets, unique and a fun game!
Nice game there, really easy but that doesn't really matter. I LOVE penguins so this was exactly what I needed to play, good job on the game!
Bit of weird controls but all in all a good game.
@thibaultar Yeah that happened a couple of times, we tried implementing some sort of restarter that would restart if you flew out of the map, I guess you just didn't fly far enough :P Thanks for playing!
@robo-chiz Thank you for playing, I appreciate the compliment! @krp We were struggling a bit on the last day, trying to figure out how to make the game more user friendly, but then the submission hour hit like a bus :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks for playing too!
@historymaker118 We should've spent more time on such things, I'm not the best at spending time on game jams, I'm not to sure what you mean by game modes, if you mean the different type of level designs I'll keep that in mind for my next jam games. And I completely agree with the fact that game jam games don't need tons of features, just one implemented well! Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback :)
@bronydell I'll keep that in mind, thanks for playing :).
@jeke Thanks for the feedback! For my next Ludum Dare I'll try refine the game play more, thanks for playing!
I loved the art!!
Fun!
Nice game, I really like the neon style, the controls felt good and it really fit with the theme, nice work!
Ooooh, low poly type artstyle, I love it! This game was mega fun and it's incredible that you made that in 48 hours, that'd take me more than the 72 hours!!
I love those graphics! I hope to see more types of games with this artstyle in the future! Good work!
I love the art style of this game and the audio fits really well with the style :)
A really cool game, I enjoyed this I like having a battery instead of being able to just hold down the mouse button and win.
Nice simple and effective art!
It really fits the theme, I love penguins and this game was really fun, the fact that you could get hit by a missile was pretty funny :P
A nice concept, I like the small sprites!
It felt good playing the game, the controls were easy to use without any introduction, I noticed if I waited too long in the Main Menu I would eventually die, but that wasn't really much of a problem. I also really liked the graphics, it wasn't too much or too less and the music and audio added that little bit of detail. Nice!
I like the idea, it was a bit confusing at first, I kept looking around me to see if I could find any keys to open the gate, I eventually find out I had to press E, hehe. I also got stuck in a Minor Sacrifice on one of the houses, which was really sad. A part from that, really great assets, the amount of details make the world feel more alive, and the theme was also pretty accurate too!
Nice game! I really like how polished it looks, those simple animations really made the stuff feel more alive, too bad there were only two levels, I'd love to play and complete more levels! I could see this being turned into a full game someday! Good job!
I love that everything is synced to the beat, it made it easier to follow the rhythm in my head. Also the art is really cute and I love the little bounce the boxes and the truck had each beat. Really nice! I completed the game and the puzzles felt a bit challenging but really rewarding! :D Very good overall! Congrats on completing a game.
The wheel on level 3 was harsh, but it felt rewarding when completing a level, very noice. Also, there was a bunch of different colors that I feel could've been reduced.
Fun little game you got here! It was really fun seeing the cubes fight each other. Would be really cool having some sound effects to add to the effect but I'm guessing that was more of a time issue than design. Also I don't know if it was just me but I wish there were some sort of healthbar :D
Overall a really fun game that could be even better with some more polish :DD
What a crazy game haha! I really like mood that the game gave and the atmosphere was really scary, it had me on the edge of my seat all times during this gameplay. A little confusing to begin with but it got better over time! Congrats on finishing a game!
Congrats on submitting your game! I liked how you got to explore on your own during the tutorial and learn everything on your own. I had some problems finding all the tiles to connect but it worked out in the end! Fun game!
Cute little game, I really dig the character design on both the player and the enemies. Especially the bomb slugs. Really cool! The pixelart was really good the sounds sounded good. Congrats on finishing
@sheetcode You may have tried to download it while I was reuploading it.. Try again now maybe?
Yeah, I tried my best to make a tutorial right before submitting but it didn't work like I wanted it to so I also wrote a tutorial on the page if the tutorial wasn't that easily understandable @fabrizio-spadaro
Haha thanks! @n-o-games
@polegar @westmave Thank you for the feedback and the compliments! I'm happy the game felt good to play for you and I have to agree with the monster spawner, It was supposed to spawn at random points but it didnt work out the way i wanted it to :D
@noeloskar I didn't think about that, I didn't implement any form of ui scaling apart from the default settings but I hope it wasn't too bad
@paulhocker @noahnewline @kr4sh3 Thank you so much for playing the game, it means a lot. Thanks for the feedback as I'm totally agreeing that the enemy may have been too harsh and I'm not sure why I didn't fix that before submitting! Thank you!
@nick-rasmussen Thank you for the feedback. When I originally had a different control scheme but for some reason felt like my hand would mix things up, so I just went with what I felt was better. But I have to agree with your philosophy and I'll take that into consideration for my future games! Thanks.
@john-snyder Thanks for playing and for leaving some feedback!
@sarok Yeah I wanted to add a web build but I've had some bad experiences with Godot and building to web. But I'll experiment and make sure I get it right for next time! Thanks for playing
Really fun game. I'm a big fan of those games where you have to plant/customize your planet like this one, super fun! And the graphics are really unique and adds a lot of character to the game.
Very neat looking game you got there! I really dig the art-style that you used in your game and I think it makes the game feel really good to play. The different attacks for the different food was also really cool and clever. Though I feel like the game might be a bit too harsh with how easy it is to die versus how "weak" the weapons felt.
First off, I love those sound effects. Those were just great! The game felt a little bit difficult, as soon as I clicked play my health just drained down to 0 hp in less than 10 seconds, second playthrough it went a tad bit better but overall it may have been a bit too difficult for me to play at times. The graphics are nice tho and the game looks pretty fun! Good job on completing a game.
This game made me realize how bad I really am at some games, but the game felt nice, smooth, responsive to play and I really enjoyed my time playing it! The graphics are really simple and it adds a lot to the overall game feel.
Neat little game, very good interpretation of the theme!
Neat little game! Maybe once you got a bunch of towers the game felt a bit too easy! But very nice
Love the visuals.
- Love the style and especially in the credits it has that really cool notebook/paper cartoon feel to it. - Good music selection for the game
BUT: - I feel the control's couldve been a tad bit improved on, for example it was difficult jumping on the letters sometimes. It would fall.
But very nice!
Simple and fun game, I could see this being a really popular arcade game back in the 90s with the right palette. Really good!
I like how the monster looks!
Fun little concept. I like the little upgrade things you could pick up to boost your stats.
- Feedback: The game got really repetitive quickly, suddenly it was just standing on the plant and shooting back and forth. The gravity was really weird.
But not bad!
Really fun game, one thing that a lot of people are saying is that the bullet could be bigger and pop out more, which i totally feel like it could do. But great job!
The combat and movement felt really good in this game, really nice. I couldn't seem to get the audio working though, so that's kinda unfortunate but the visuals looked really nice.
Very confusing how to shoot, but the art looks nice!
I had a blast playing this! It didn't feel too easy nor did it feel too hard, good job! I love the graphics.
Apparently the game is really slow for me, I move really slow which makes it impossible to play. But congrats on finishing a game
@zer0-games It's not lag its just the movement speed is very low for me, even while running.
Really fun storytelling. Very good and detailed writing and somehow I managed to start a communist gardening company and surviving, so I'll take that!
Neat little game
This got addicting really fast, I couldn't stop decorating the aquarium with all the different selections provided. Really cute fish, love the graphics and the audio was really relaxing. Good job on finishing the game!
I think having the camera follow the mouse cursor instead of lagging behind the player could be a great change but I understand that this is a jam game and one can often overlook certain things, happens to the best of us! Anyway a pretty good game, I like the graphics and I like the stuck in a loop concept where you get stronger from each death. Good job!
Kind of confusing, I got stuck at the start after getting a hold of the wrench but with that being sad very good mood and the simple graphics really worked well with your game.
Really good audio, just the little reverb on the walking made the game feel more alive, really fun puzzles aswell, some of the puzzles I just went into the room without reading the console and surprisingly got out of the room with no issues hah, very good game though!
@warrrkus Thank you so much for playing the game, I did actually notice that the wall puzzle one was a bit confusing since it lacked feedback, I tried to do something about it but I didn't have much time as I implemented that puzzle around two hours before deadline. If you're talking about the ending screen you get for winning, that was a pretty rushed one because of lack of time.
@bukkaketears I'm really glad you liked the voice over, I was pretty worried it would be difficult actually hearing what was being said, resulting in the goal being confusing, but I hope that wasn't the case.
**SPOILER: ** those 5 puzzles that you mentioned are the only 5 puzzles needed in order to find the code to the big pin code. Thanks for playing!
A funny game you got there!
As others mention, the broom is a bit confusing at first, but the more you fly around, the more you learn about the controls. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing as it can give the player the feel of progression, the overall game was pretty straight forward. I managed to hit a wall pretty hard which had me think that was the end of my journey, but a very fun game!
I like the animations when the level loads, it makes it seem a bit less stiff, cool transition! The game was fun and easy to understand even without reading any tutorials or explanations. Good stuff!
Game felt super polish and really good to play, no issues with controls whatsoever. Maybe being able to change the amount of screenshake would be a fine addition but I understand not being able to do so under such a low period of time. I personally have no issues with the screenshake but maybe some others might like to decrease it, or increase it haha. Very good game though, loved the polish feel of it!
I love the simple graphics a long with the fun music in the background made this type of game not feel so boring and repetitive over time, it didn't feel frustrating when I accidentally flew past the room I wanted to interact and overall just felt really fun to play! Good job.
My brain has just exploded. Heh, very good job on submitting though!
My only complaint with this game is probably the collisionboxes/hitboxes, they can feel slightly unfair at times. But apart from that the game was pretty fun, the controls felt pretty responsive and good and I like the slight acceleration the player has.
Interesting game, simple but cool graphics. The controls were a bit unresponsive, especially the jumping, but apart from that a pretty solid game.
I enjoyed the voice acting and audio a lot. Sadly I didn't finish the game as it was a bit difficult but it was pretty fun even so, good graphics as well, especially the legs and arms of the player. Nice submission!
Enjoyable! Some issues were the speed at the start, and how difficult it felt trying to kill the zombies with the very limited stamina and clip size compared to the fast hard hitting zombies, but overall a pretty good submission. Good job on finishing!
I'm terrified of the process used to get those sound effects haha. Really love the graphics and the VERY funny jokes. 10/10 would play again.
I found the game pretty fun for some strange reasons, I like the way you implemented the theme but as others have mentioned, it's pretty easy to cheese the boss, I didn't even know there was a dash feature since I just stood underneath the eye and spammed my shoot button. But congratulations on finishing non the less :D!
Very cool game, I like the rotation the sprite has when using the jetpack, it adds that slight bit of polish that I really think looks good. Biggest issue for me is probably the controls, W to jump and space to shoot is a bit weird for me, especially for me that prefers to use arrow keys + Z X. But apart from that as pretty solid submission!
A bit confusing at first, but after messing around with the buttons I managed to send a bunch of materials around. Really like the graphics and the story telling, I took me a while to realize that I was indeed Stuck In a Loop. Pretty fun overall!
The artstyle in the game looks really sweet and the froglike "draw cards" looks pretty neat. A fun game that has a lot of potential to become a bigger game, good job!
@henriquecanella @ghost-wave Thank you for telling me about this, it seems like I forgot to place ladders in those places, making the game unbeatable. I have made a post jam fix about this, thank you for playing and helping :D
@togis Sad to hear that, I will note to myself to playtest my future entries to make sure nothing like that happens later on! Thanks for playing!
@leekanarchism Thank you for playing!
@goldone Thank you for playing, I agree with the coyote time, the ladders were a bit rushed sadly and not fully optimised to the level.
@etrealjunior Thanks! I think I overlooked how important the ladders really were, as they were implemented on the last day and I did very little testing and playing around with ladder positions.
One of the best games I've seen in terms of mood and audio, definitely gets a 5 star on both of those, really solid game. Easy to get into and easy to understand even without needing an explanation.
Fun game! even without explanation I quickly figured out how each level worked which is pretty good. I'd love to see a full scale game with this.
Maybe the music was a bit repetitive at times, I like the concept of having to hold ur gems, hoping for better prices or to sell and get better turrets, if there were more time in the jam, maybe not make it super rng, have some way to tell the player if its better to save or not. Idk, the interact text could also maybe be white, or any color that's easy to read over the dark background.
But the graphics and gameplay are pretty good with good polish like the gun smoothing.
A good small game that feels really polished, the controls feel good and the only thing holding me back was my own skill. Very good entry nice job.
Gave me some portal type vibes, really interesting game and take on the theme.
Strikes very high in the mood category! I enjoyed how you went deeper and deeper into the story as you progressed into the game, I was a bit dumb and played without audio accidentally the first time but I went in a second time with audio to make sure to get the full experience. Overall really good graphics with simple shapes, maybe some way of indicating where the next platforms are when the camera is so zoomed but apart from that really great entry!
Really digging the aesthetics with the graphics!
Fun and quick game, it scored high on the innovative side and I think it's a good entry into the jam, it reminds me of Angry Birds in a way, would be cool to have some sort of line so it would be easier to see where the shots would be shot, especially during the sniper levels. But overall great.
@loiclegrosfrere @lesinvisible I struggled a lot with making it feel balanced, at the beginning it was too easy so with some more tweaking and thought behind it it couldve worked out. I also wanted to make a timer for when the day was over but I kind of forgot about it and then it was pretty close to deadline haha. Thank you for playing though, I really appreciate it.
Probably one of the best games I've played so far this jam. Really fun, took me a round to understand what to do but I didn't read any of the descriptions but managed to win my second try. Really fun and I loved the music especially!
Great music, great mood playing the game through a TV screen, and overall a solid entry. Felt polished and the movement felt good.
Fun little game. Bit confusing at first but once I got the hang of it got pretty fun running around, not sure what more there were to it after the message "aisle emptied" because I seemed to be stuck at that part but cute graphics and solid entry!
Great game, horror games tend to sometimes get a bit overscoped but this game seemed reletivaly finished/polished and worked out great. Struggled a lot with the bird fella tho ha
Love the graphics, I think they look nice and fit the vibes of animals.
Easy and a game that I could see myself get easily addicted to. Super good graphics and really fun physics. Got some really cool moments with last second clutches in order to keep my tower steady.
My head hurts. That's all I have to say. Really happy about the colors not being too much and the graphics seeming pretty low poly from those few seconds i could see more than the floor. Solid entry overall.
Haha, the water physics are really satisfying and I love the overall style of the game. The gameplay felt challenging but not unfair and worked really well. Not much negative to say about it but a really good entry into the jam!
Cute fun and definitely chaotic, love the cute graphics and how chaotic it is, which really fits the unstable theme, was not able to complete the final level but still enjoyed the game nonetheless.
Good in the graphics, I think some shadows on the core would've made it easier being able to tell exactly where they were especially in the beginning and the jumping wasn't that responsive. But visually pleasing to me so good entry.
10/10 Game, visual effects were on point and the graphics were super good, felt really stressful but balanced at the same time, something i often fail in my own games. Beyond solid entry I really enjoyed playing it.
Really love the graphics, especially the 3D and 2D combination and the overall atmosphere worked really well.
Fun game, a lot of replayability for trying out different strategies and really enjoyable. Fun game and it feels very polished, didn't find any issues while playing so overall great entry. Good job!
Oh wow thats chaotic, personally felt like I didn't have the best overview over when the people entered the line (apart from the yellow indicator) and in my opinion I wouldve preferred a control scheme of maybe DFJK or anything more central on the keyboard. Pretty good entry tho overall, I'm a huge fan of DDR games, tho not particularly any good at them.
First thing I did was drive into the massive fire and die, 10/10 would play again.
Really cool game tho, fun trying to figure out best routes and fastest way to stop the fire from burning all the wheat. Good job.
@polinachrr Thank you! My bad for not including instructions, put some basic ones on the jam page right now.
@theseusinabottle Haha thank you so much for playing and the kind words ๐. I used to always make sounds and music with my mouth for my first games so I've gotten used to it but the older I get the worse it becomes ๐ ๐ .
@mariavalcam Thank you for playing and I appreciate it, I'd love to add more things to the games to spice it up but I decided to play it safe and keep the scope really small.
@vrerabek Thank you for playing! Was hoping people would find the humor in the sound effects ๐
@joey-shipley Hope your expectations were met ๐ ๐ Thank you for playing!
@petersanford Thank you for playing! It was definitely fun doing the art for this so I'll see if I'll ever do something like this again.
@matank Thank you for playing! Agree with the health, I was thinking of adding some power ups dropping from the sky to help you but forced myself to keep it really simple.
@algo-baker Thanks for playing! I think the spacebar responsiveness is because of the easing in the animation if imma take a wild guess, could've probably made it snappier but at least it's accurate to how slow claw machines are ๐ ๐ Happy you enjoyed it though.
@aduermael Thank you and thanks for playing!
@svenerik Thank you for playing! Glad you like the audio, wanted to make the entire game have that hand made feel if that makes sense!
@j0ye Thanks for playing! That score is definitely an epic high score!
@mrchickenboy Thank you for playing! Gameplay gets a bit stale after a while I agree, had very little scope for this jam to make sure it felt complete.
@noeloskar Haha thanks for playing! Maybe the dive should be faster, I probably just got so used to it myself I never thought to experiment with the speed, glad you like it though!
@grotfang Thank you for playing! I originally had the crow be able to move while diving but I decided to stop it from moving to make it a bit more difficult so you'd have to time it more, but could 100% be a power up that lets you move.
@richard-jedlicka Thanks for playing! I 100% get that, not that exciting after you've caught a couple of corn. Happy you like the sounds though!
@jfeeefl Thanks for the kind words and for playing! Really made sure to have fun with every aspect of development, glad it paid off :)
@andidebob Thank you for playing! Really didn't know you could pick them up while they're growing, but none the less thank you for the kind words!
@hulya Thanks for playing! I'm glad to hear my homemade audio made it more enjoyable!
@moonlightbomber Thank you for playing! Thanks for the rating as well, glad you found it enjoyable!
@starboihooch Thanks for playing! Glad you liked the art and animations, I see that the replayability is pretty small, was focusing a lot on finishing and keeping the scope tiny.
@yogurtthehorse Thank you! Glad you like it.
@phillip-scott Happy you like the drawing and audio! The full reset was a last second feature I added because after a while the entire bottom filled up with crops and it was basically a gamble if you get a corn or a scarecrow, very lazy solution but it works
Love the art, love the concept of the game. I could see myself revisiting this game after the jam, or even develop my own take on it. Solid work, good entry.
My favorite artstyle for games! Solid work, easy to understand and fun to play. Has a lot of replayability as well. Good graphics, it feels very "Complete" if that makes sense. Solid entry good job.
Good game! I had fun playing it and I found the "I need money" sounds hilarious. My only feedback is maybe that the movement is a bit slippery, that or that the level is very compact. But that could also add to the challenge. Overall really solid entry!
Oo fancy graphics, and love the mood the game gives off. Good job on a solid entry I really enjoyed it.
Challenging! A game that requires you to think about every step and every move. Love the graphics, they really help set a tone for the game. Solid entry good job!
I love games with limited color palettes like this one, solid game feels really finished. Good job!
Got pretty good at it, although I feel a bit bad for the "misharvested" soul at the end, poor guy. Solid entry overall the graphics are complete and it feels like a full, fully-featured entry. Easy to understand and very fun to play. Good job on the entry!
Good game, only issue I had was when you did so little damage that taking damage was neccesary, kind of wish there was a way to block or something. But overall really fun , replayed it a few times to defeat every enemy faster and get more corn. Good job.
Sick graphics for a solo entry! Really pleased with how "complete" of a game this feels, I spent pretty long trying to figure out what to do as I was just jumping around gathering seeds but after a while figured out I had to find tools to farm. Love the aesthetics, it gave me a little bit of that slime rancher feel for some reason. Solid entry good job!
Great game, love the graphics and the sound. They're really good, got a bit stuck at the end so I ended up just finishing off myself, definately a lot of aha moments which I enjoy in games. Good job on the game.
What a relaxing experience, a really good end to the day as I get to roam around exploring the different parts of the world and reveal a somewhat story behind the place. Fun, relaxing and I love the little parts you can interact with like racing. Good job!
Audio is good and the graphics is really nice and cute, solid entry and I love the idea of harvesting souls to abilities, my only feedback for improvement would be maybe a camera that allows you to see more of where your going, instead of having "gamble" or guess whats next. Overall solid entry though good job!
I came into the game not knowing anything, spent a bit of time just running around yelling at everyone until I realized I had to do it in a specific order, I love games where you have to figure out stuff like that just by playing the game, super cute graphics and funny audio. Great overall entry.
Good job on your entry! Only issue was getting stuck in platforms, that and I wasn't sure what the left click in this direction meant, to me it didnt seem to do anything. Maybe I missed something.
Fun graphics, and a solid game!
Sadly I wasn't able to start the game, however I do appreciate that you provided a video for cases like this. Always gotta respect the use of non mainstream engines and even your own engines and frameworks. Good take on the theme. Good job!
@aduermael , Firefox, never thought to try it on Chrome so I'll give it another chance when I'm back home.
Really cool use, no idea how you did it but I was surprised that it actually listened to my commands. Really innovative!
Congrats on a first entry! Hope it's one of many. Solid work here really nice graphics and fun gameplay!
Really cool! I like the artstyle and the color set you're giving. And the game is pretty fun!
Haha, really fun game!
I really liked the sound! And the Guitar Hero Feel!
Pretty nice! A little hard sometimes though.
Really cool! I didn't mind having to click multiple times to catch a mice, it gave the game a better catching type feel, anyway, Only thing I noticed was that the mice could spawn and instantly crash into the walls and make me lose hp. The theme selection was also really cool! Can't wait for more of your games.
Interesting gameplay! I like it!
@LemonBalmGames Thank you. I didn't really think about the music category, I figured if I can't get any high scores in GamePlay or graphics, I can atleast try and get something in Humour
@egawag If I ever continue this game, I'll be sure to make the game more difficult and more dynamic. I appreciate the feedback!
@xoidberg I used way to long trying to do the enemies and turret I didn't have much time trying to do the Spawning and such. Though to be honest I could've done more in the time I had.. Thank you!
@BluShine @Dyoni @Almax Thanks for playing! I should've used longer on the enemies and wavespawner, since they currently don't get stronger and such, and maybe I could've increases the cost of the turrets each wave. I appreciate you taking your time to play my game, my games seem to be lacking gameplay, and that is something I'll need to work on for the next game jams! Thank you.
@Aaron Nemoyten I love Tower Defense games! I think I'll continue this project, but make it from the start. Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback!
Really nice! I really enjoyed it! I saw you work on it on stream too <3
I really liked the art! The music was a bit unexpected though.
Really nice! I love the bloom and the graphics!
I really liked this! It really fit the theme too! Also, I REALLY liked the sound effect it gave when hitting buttons.
Neat! I enjoyed your game a lot! I really like the Graphics and the screen size! Keep up the good work!
I like the concept!
