This is awesome! Needs some volume control, but was actually quite fun and challenging.

Very cool !
Looking really amazing.
Great art and animation and interesting concept, though I think you may be stretching the theme a bit here :-P I think the gamepad controls are broken, I couldn't attack, slide or crouch. It took me a while to get a hang of the keyboard layout, but it worked pretty well once I did. I had a hard time getting enough distance to land my projectile attacks, and got stuck on corners occasionally. I'm impressed with the number of mechanics you got working (wall grab, slide, crawl, charge shot, etc.).
Very challenging it was also hard to tell what the power ups did. Also I like how you made sure the player knew how you intergrated the theme in the intro scene/paper. Overall pretty fun good job.
The game was quite fun, although the objective was quite confusing due to the contradicting arrows. Some point you to the ship while others to the key location. As someone who just followed the arrows as he saw them, I ended up at the ship and didn't know what to do. (the hole where you need to drop to get the key at first really seems like a hole you should avoid. If you ignore the arrows though, the game plays quite nice and is challenging. The art also looks very clean and really fits the game!
good game nice work enemy are hard to kill they come from no where
Game was pretty well done, but i did feel that it was a bit... open worldy and made me feel like i didn't know where to go? the arrows helped but overall it didn't have much direction. not necessarily a bad thing, just wasn't to my tastes.
Awesome game!!!
Nice music and sfx ! Nice work guys .
Good game overall
The graphics and sound were very charismatic, and has a certain charm to it that I really liked! Gameplay is a bit rough and the map can be both a hassle and a joy to discover and figure out. Nice work here!
I beat the game! Boy was that one of the more difficult games I've played so far. I really love the art style and animation. I do wish it had a better "game feel" (although jumping while sliding did feel good), and maybe less annoying enemy AI. But overall I really liked it (otherwise I wouldn't have kept trying to beat it)! But why does the game have lives when you can just restart the game? Also the gamepad controls didn't really work for me (only the movement worked).
Great game! The enemies feel pretty annoying at some points though.
I love the art style of this game and the audio fits really well with the style :)
First of all, good job on finishing a game for ludum dare, you can be proud. And what a game, it looks and feels very solid and professional. The art is beautiful and all the storytelling makes the whole thing come together. Also it was tough. I almost didn't make it out of frustration, until I finally had a good run! Then again, I'm a platformer noob haha. Some feedback: I would love to be able to aim the gun anywhere with my mouse cursor, instead of just firing backwards and forwards. The way it is it can feel kind of difficult to hit certain enemies. Also, the red enemies can charge at you rather quickly, leaving you being hit even if you continuously fire at them. Further than that, I loved this submission, very well done!
This game's pretty hilarious, haha. I like the game-although I wasn't able to find my way around. Interesting sound effects and art style-quite comedic.
I found it fun enough for a few attempts. The art and sound direction reminds me of the goofiness of Earthworm Jim. The environment art has a problem though: it's often hard to tell how objects behave. There were a few points where I couldn't distinguish what was a wall versus just a background, and the "spikes" look like they're just harmless grass.
There's also a glitch where if you exceed 100% oxygen, you die.
Overall, good work.
Super fun and nailed art technique! The controls felt a bit clunky, tho. It seemed like there was a way to start by going left at the very beginning of the level, but I didn't manage to find a way to reach the top. About the last comment before mine, I really hope it was intented from your team, because dying of over-oxygen would totally fit in your crazy universe :D
@ransom @ekilibr Actually, it was intended to over-fill your oxygen, but we know that it wasn't well communicated in the game when we ran out of time. We hope to make it more apparent when we work on the game further.
And thank you for the feedback! We love getting this kind of information from other devs! It really helps us see things we've over looked and improve along the way!
The controls for attack not working with my xbox controller :/ Anyway, it's fun and hilarious, Great job!
Funny sounds and animations.
Hey there, good job with the game! I'm giving feedback considering that you're going to continue developing it.
Nice work developing a lot of stuff for this game. But also be careful with it. Let's get into your critique:
• The audio is great! Music is really thematic and make you dive into the game world. As enemies reactions as well. Good job, for future references I'd advise to adjust the volumes a little bit (:
• The controls are not reliable. The controls scheme doesn't fit the game, and the movement feels delayed. For either movements or attack. This is very important since the character interaction is the core stuff in your game.
• Animations were well made! The character can interact slider with pieces of the environment, makes you feel inside your game, that neat!
• Theme was adopted, but not really explored. It felt like more of a reskin of a random game.
• Since the controls felt weird, after my failure I didn't want to play again. I've played for ~3min
In overall you guys did a great job for a jam entry, a lot of details were covered. The player HUD is a bit hard to see due to it's placement and complexity, but nothing that couldn't be easily fixed.
In case you continue to develop your game let me know! I'd love to see your progress, my info is on my LD profile.
Do you mind to give feedback to our game as well? (It’s a platformer, I don’t know if you like the genre but it is important for me to have feedback from player who like and dislike it). The link to it is on my profile, I won't post to avoid spam.
Love it! Nice art and music :) good work!
A funny platformer! Good job! XD
I loved the graphics and the whole mood for the game. The humor was good and you were able to add a lot of things into the game in a relatively short amount of time. I do have some thoughts since you are looking to develop this further. Obviously all these are in my opinion.
- The game played very fast and all the characters were large. This means unfortunately that guys would be attacking you before you had a way to deal with them. Maybe zoom the game out a little?
- The controls felt a little weird. I'm trying to put my finger exactly on what it was. I think it is because you used a physics engine for a platformer, which works and is quick, but when you use a pillbox collider (which I think you used) on a primarily grid based level it always feels a little weird.
- Some of the drops were frustrating. Sliding down the walls was extremely slow and the falling speed was very fast. Either I had to wait a long time to see what was below me and drop safely, or I had to just drop and hope there weren't spikes down there (there were).
- The first time through I didn't even realize how to use the sword. I hit the right mouse but nothing happened. I assumed that I was just missing a weapon and didn't figure out that I had to hold the button and press attack. Is there a reason you didn't just make the right mouse button attack with the sword?
- The animation jumping off the wall looks strange, mostly because I was always holding back to reach the wall I just jumped from.
I hope I don't come off as overly critical. I enjoyed the game and thought you guys did a great job.
@minibobbo Thanks for the valuable feed back! We totally get where you're coming from with everything and are actually actively working on improving the game!
Awesome sound, art, and music! Really good platformer game all around! My only gripe is that there were a lot of "leap of faith" parts where you just had to have played that portion before and died in ordered to know where to go and where to not go. That made the game a bit difficult. I loved the facial expressions on the main character and the enemies, and the RV ship. Nice touches! Fantastic entry!
Nice audio with good gameplay! Graphics and animations are really good, the game has some retro elements in it! It reminds me of an Earthworm Jim for SNES! Really good entry, keep up the good work!
