It bugs out, particularly when the dialog boxes show. Otherwise its clean, smooth to control. I couldnt get past the gap in the floor due to falling constantly, and stuck in a respawn loop.

Cccccccooooooooooollllllll Game!!!:)
Concept is amazing but the game is fairly awkward as the 2d was confusing in relation to 3d and the movement was too slidy.

@dangogamedev Yes, it's true, 2D camera can confuse after 3d. Thanks for comment.

I was surprised by the context switch to 2d, it is really awesome. Walking stairs was really hard, perhaps because the player was modeled as a cylinder?

@leave Thanks! No, player is a capsule, problem in big stairs steps. Will be more accurate in next time.
Really cool game would be much nicer if there is some signs to guide the player

Very impressive not many 3D games on Ludum Dare cool concept with dimension switching nice take on the theme. Collision is really glitchy in 3D. It is impossible to tell which way anything is in 2D because I have no frame of reference, is going right going forward in 3D? Apparently not seeing as I'm back at the beginning. I don't know if their is supposed to be sound but any kind of sound would be nice. I liked the style of the game a lot and the atmosphere.
I suggest having the stair just be one collider instead of one collider for each step, then it's easier to walk up and down from it.

@truc-e Thanks for detailed feedback! Unfortunately, I did not have time to add sounds. About confusing camera in 2d it's a problem. I think it was necessary to did something with the animation of the camera, so that the transition from 3d to 2D could be seen.

Interesting mechanics but its very buggy, i cant event pass the long corridor, some unknown power just push me straight trough the wall.

Hey there, good job with the game! "please don’t press “E” when you falling" classic LD warning (:
I'm giving feedback considering that you're going to continue developing it. Most users play the original jam version, I'm playing the fixed one because I want to give useful advice (:
• Increase Player's drag. It feels too much slippery (3D)
• Interesting concept about switching 2D and 3D, I think you can get really nice ideas to play with it
• I've missed audio, even if you couldn't make you could add it copyright free to make the game feel more alive. Good sources to it if you don't know are OpenGameArt/Incompetech/Newgrounds and Unity Asset store as well. Since you're out of the voting category I imagine you've missed it as well.
Unfortunately I got stuck on a very early stage (maybe), and that's all feedback I can give, sorry for it.
In case you continue to develop your game let me know! I'd love to see your progress, my info is on my LD profile.
Do you mind to give feedback to our game as well? (It’s a platformer, I don’t know if you like the genre but it is important for me to have feedback from player who like and dislike it). The link to it is on my profile, I won't post to avoid spam.

For some reason LD didn't let me upload the picture. But I got stuck on the stairs room.

@nyunesu Many thanks for such a detailed feedback. If I continue to do something related to this concept, then you will be one of the first to whom I will report it.
To finish the level with the ladder, you must go to the top of the ladder enter 2d mode and then jump down, and then moving back to 3d. But this is almost the end of the game, then will be something like a cutscene.
And of course I will give feedback on your game!
I liked the concept of switching from 3d to 2d, it reminded me of Super Paper Mario and Fez. Unfortunately, the game was pretty buggy. I couldn't get past the second challenge room with the stairs. I would switch dimensions and then end up in another room entirely.
Overall, it's a cool idea but buggy.
I really like the idea! As others have pointed out, it was really buggy, but the concept is very cool.
I couldn't grasp which direction I was facing when I switched to 2D - which side of me is the camera on? Some visual cues might help, like the patterns on the wall could point a direction, and when you switch, the pattern is there to help you.

@fakefirefly @randytayler Thanks for feedback! But for some reason I can not reproduce the bug in the room with the stairs, although it is quite frequent among the players.

The concept is cool! It reminds me of one of the Paper Mario games (for the Wii I think?). It's pretty buggy though. A detail I liked is that you added some camera movement in 3D to simulate walking, instead of just floating.

Buggy indeed. But the concept is quite interesting, would love to play the full version some day!

Nice! I love the concept of switching from 2D to 3D, even if it wasn't that long or often. Adding the dialogue and events also made it very interesting, something I don't see from a lot of entries. Sound would have been nice, like a walking noise or some background music to set the mood. I would have liked it to be a tad longer/have more depth too. Overall, I really like it!

The 2D/3D switching gameplay element is a very ambitious thing to add but I thing you did it well. To which side view that you get when entering 2D mode was a bit confusing to me though. Some more markings on walls/floor would help to orient which side that you are looking at.
