Just tried! This game concept is very nice! I noticed a bug: if you try to scroll all the way down the book, until the page "thanks for playing", and then come back to the first page (not completed yet) you can't write, letters don't become black anymore.
Thanks for putting effort in writing the story, I appreciated your entry!

Thanks for letting me know! I think maybe this bug is that the text wasn't showing you that the next character is a space. I'll release a new build with something to make what is the next character to type clearer soon.
I like the concept!
Cool idea. Appreciate the effort in writing a story!

I find this to be one of the best game I've played. The combination flows really well together. I had some problems with not being able to type `’` apostrophe instead of usual `'`.
Nice presentation, love it, good job! =)

This is a really cool way of making the player engage with the story. By typing it you do get involved in it more than usual. It's a very creative approach to the theme! This is something that I could see working in the whole Interactive Fiction genre in a big variety of ways. :)

Just released a patch which addresses an issue where you could not type certain punctuation.
Your progress will have been saved from your last playthrough, so you don't have to start again :)

Just tried your game! At first I have to say that I love that idea of writting the story to be able to read it and your story is pretty interesting! I found some bugs: instead of typing a simple point, I can type ! ? " _ or any punctuation and the point becomes black. Also, no need to caps for the capital letters. I'm stuck at the fifth page, the text on the sixth one just does not appear ='( I don't understand though why Elena would argue about comedy being interesting when the skinny guy talked about musicals. Well that could happen but then I can't understand why the others would be convinced, since she just misunderstood what they were talking about. The reader I am prefers justified text but that's just a detail.
Still I really liked it and am very sad not to be able to read the last page.
Nice idea and execution! Think that the combination wasn't for me though. I either like to follow a story and focus on that (instead of typing) or like in a typical typing game get a sense of hurry. Great execution though.

I really liked the way the story is presented. The mood of the story is fitting, too. Great writing!

The visuals and theme is very fitting, but I found it very exhausting to type and read at the same time (even with 100+ WPM speed). This stands as a very interesting experiment :) Good job
I have mixed opinions on this one. I think a game like this definitely is possible to make interesting. It's like those clicker games. The game itself is basically nothing, but everything else is what makes you keep going. And btw, the way the words gradually appear before you as you type is absolutely beautiful. However, with no music, no pictures and a story with no surprises, it just becomes a little bit boring. You could have added some statistics, such as words per minute and percentage of wrong letters typed. That way it could be a typing practice with a nice story.
I like that you tried something completely new though. I definitely think this type of game has a potential, but for it to work it needs a heavy focus on art. If you ever do something similar or continue working on this, I wish you the best of luck. And also, good luck next game jam! :)
