Got to 39 mice. :3 I do love cat games. <3 I liked the background (very easy to see mice on) and I liked the health counter
TIPS: Could you add, in the instructions, that escaping mice makes you lose a life? I didn't get that until the second time I played. It could use some sound :)
Cute though!

I got 23 points, although it seemed like my clicks did not count sometimes.
I would hardly call mice and cats genres...
@pandademic42, thanks for your great feedback! I just updated the entry description (the game already had the info you requested in the "how to play" area). I was planning on adding sound, but some devices make it a little tricky (sometimes impossible).
@mao, thanks for the feedback. I see that sometimes too. It does work better on a phone, but I can still make the mice a little bigger. Also, when I was connecting the theme, I took two different objects that are incompatible, not two genres (a lot of people also did that).
A solid entry.
Two points of critique: 1. it is sometimes hard to click a mouse, as apparently not the entire cursor counts. 2. Interepreting species as genre is a bit far fetched in my opinion.
Otherwise well done.
Awww, such a cute game. And the dedication towards your cats: highly respectable.
@Mr.MadCat, thanks for the feedback. I will make the mice bigger (or at least add some clear padding to the image) so they are easier to click. The cursor aspect, I can't do anything about. It does work better on a phone though (also tilt mode on iOS is fun).
@Blinkenlights, thanks for enjoying. :cat:

The mice often spawn a little too close to the edge, which feels unfair. It's a neat little idea, well done for making a game in pure html5/js!
Cool game. The only thing is that the clicks sometimes don't register. I enjoyed playing though. Keep up the good work :)
Really cool! I didn't mind having to click multiple times to catch a mice, it gave the game a better catching type feel, anyway, Only thing I noticed was that the mice could spawn and instantly crash into the walls and make me lose hp. The theme selection was also really cool! Can't wait for more of your games.
@pogo & @samuel-henderson, thanks for your feedback! I will fix both of those issues at some point.
@PatrickRMC, thanks for the great feedback and the brilliant way to think of the problem that way. I will fix those problems at some point though. I see that you're 14-years-old. If you didn't already know, I'm too:smile:.
Great job finishing and releasing a game at such a young age! Keep at it!

Simple yet addicting game. Graphics are nice, could use some sound though. sometimes mice spawn too close to the edges of the screen. I have a similar game where you have to kill enemies with traps instead of attacking. you can check it out here https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/unnamed-game

This is a good game, I would prefer a video game genre incompatibility, but the jam doesn't specify the genre type, so there is no fault on that.
Sometimes the mice appear in a corner of the screen, and it is hard to catch. I think that it shouldn't be because of that that you can't catch a mouse, but this is a minor and easy fix.
I would have wanted some music and sounds, to set the mood of the game. But hey, for a compo entry is forgiven, I didn't do music in mine.
Otherwise, good job!

I am missing some sounds but I know that it is hard to get everything to game on time ;) overall good concept, good job :)
@aaron-nemoyten, thanks for the great feedback and support. My GitHub link is on my profile if you want to check it out.
