Great Job, Can't wait to see more in the future. -Who doesn't know me

nidup 2018-04-24 12:04

Hi @steel-dev as you use Unity, you could generate a WebGL build and upload it to itch.io to make the game playable in a browser :video_game:

kultisti 2018-04-24 12:45

Love the visual effects and the "Hacking part"! Great job!

steel-dev 2018-04-24 14:37

@nidup Added a WebGl build for ya! Enjoy!

steel-dev 2018-04-24 14:38

@Kultisti Thanks! Glad you liked it!

reizo 2018-04-24 14:53

It took me a bit to figure things out, but the game's really well made and the music goes really well with the game (it never really got to the point where it felt repetitive). Adding the time constraint and power failures was a neat touch.

steel-dev 2018-04-24 15:00

@Reizo Thanks! So glad you enjoyed it :)

sabeurre 2018-04-24 15:34

Wow ! The concept is really nice ! I love this kind of game, where you have to use your brain to get the key. The programming here was well injected in the game. The first power outage surprised me a lot, took me a while to figure out what I had to do, but, pretty nice, well done

steel-dev 2018-04-24 15:59

:D :D Thanks! @Sabeurre

nidup 2018-04-24 18:33

Hi @steel-dev, first thank you for the Web GL build  Good concept, cool graphics and great ambiance, controls could be a bit improved to make the game totally playable with the keyboard, the terminal could be a bit more realist using a different font, and maybe adding a sound when typing keys. Congratz & keep up the good work :rocket:

steel-dev 2018-04-24 18:38

No problem! thanks @nidup ! the typing sound effects were 100% planned but I never got to it due to having to fix bugs, I did also plan on polishing the terminal and such but ran out of time :P Thanks for your feedback! and thanks for playing :)

I saw someone play your game! Amazing job. great mood and ambiance. Took me a while to get the hang of it. great job!

dkdwrek 2018-04-24 21:31

Very cool game! Well done on all aspects.

jharler 2018-04-24 21:40

Whew, that was intense. I ended up dying to the boss with him at like 15 health because I had ran out of heals. Well done. A few notes: The navigation of the player through the room was a little tricky. I had to retry a couple of times and it got a bit tedious typing the same power-on sequence. It would have also been nice to see in the database list which hashes I had already tried. I think I ended up cracking the same codes a few times because I couldn't remember where I left off. Overall though, this is a solid entry. Nice work!

javasaurus 2018-04-24 23:37

Oh my... James' gone done it again ! Great Jobs all around, you really should do an epic rif as your Twitch follow alert from now on. Aside from that, the game is really fun and enjoyable, one of the better jam games I have come across today :) Thank you ! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/bumper-buddies

steel-dev 2018-04-24 23:40

Thanks @JavaSaurus haha, ill check your game out here in a bit ;)

rebecca-kremer 2018-04-25 02:29

Had a great time despite my inadequacy in every way. :P

martintristan 2018-04-25 05:56

pretty nice escape the room game. when i was typing the codes i unconsciously pressed tab a few times expecting intellisense to complete the code hahahaha!

steel-dev 2018-04-25 06:13

hahaha @MartinTristan Thanks for playing!

gamesplusjames 2018-04-26 00:39

Great work on this Steel! You're games just keep getting better and better! I loved the work you put into the variety of minigames, and hopefully I'll get to that endboss next time ;)

agar3s 2018-04-26 01:30

nice!

gamekrazzy 2018-04-26 03:52

Good Escape room, I didn't escape, and I want to come back to it so I'll save it for later, however I got really annoyed at the way you showed the user how to enter the hashes and passwords, , I ended up entering '' over and over, and was asking why it kept failing, so that was confusing. Also after I did end up figuring it out, for some reason I couldn't get the password to work... Then after I managed to get past that point my next playthrough, I couldn't get past the password hashes, as I was unsure of whether to type the entire thing, or if it's just one of those hashes, and if it's either of those, that's annoying... Also, there's a definite bug after you get the password, if you go look at the note again, it removes the password from your codes. Anways good game! It's neat to see another Escape Room genre game in here! ;)

steel-dev 2018-04-26 04:54

@Gamekrazzy Thanks for playing! also I understand the annoyances, I planned on fixing everything & making it easier but I ran out of time D: Glad you liked it though!

joe-sycalik 2018-04-26 18:20

This was a really interesting idea! I liked the gameplay, though I did find some frustrations. I think that time moves too quickly or that you don't have enough days. It takes a while to figure out what you need to do, even after reading all of the instructions and your description. I think having additional tasks and letting you enter a command to mass-crack the passwords would be nice, as it took me 2 days alone just to crack them. The special twist at the end was cool and overall I thought the project was very creative, fun, and well done!

steel-dev 2018-04-26 21:10

thanks! :D

patrickrmc 2018-04-28 19:18

Pretty nice! Was a bit hard, the compile error minigame was really quick and I couldn't find out what to do.

steel-dev 2018-04-29 00:12

@PatrickRMC I explained in the games description what to do :D Click the X next to the "Code" with Dark Green text :) I would've put a tutorial in the game that would explain everything further but, no time sadly D: The difficulty was intentional; I find difficulty fun, a nice challenge >:D but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

patrickrmc 2018-04-29 07:47

@Steel_Dev Took me around 3 times to actually read the minigame and figure out which to click X in xD
