I really loved this game! simply beautiful! thank you for creating this
Absolutely beautiful as always! I really enjoyed the premise of assisting the squishy little slurpy character on his journey to freedom.
Level 9 was a bit too difficult for me but this game is still really good, especially visually.
Beautiful fun, graphics are always stunning. I especially like the soundtrack.
To be honest, this game is very challenging. I am a impatient person. It reminds me of a game called getting over it. The web version is a bit difficult to operate. My favorite is the art and music of the game. It's really great. Even if I don't have patience, I'd like to play more. I've reached the fifth level. It's a bit difficult
I agree with @dreamer , the game can get pretty challenging at times, but I feel that it actually fits the game very nicely. The art is beautiful and the sounds to go with it really tie everything together perfectly. Great job!
art has me felling good
The physics with the wheel in level 3 are bad; it can easily get stuck in a spot below the wheel where it can't be moved anymore. After a lot of attempts I got to level 4, which is just too frustrating. The post processing is also a bit much for my liking. Though, the squishy sounds are nice.
Isn't it super cute? It is super cute.
Love the physics based gameplay too!
The wheel on level 3 was harsh, but it felt rewarding when completing a level, very noice. Also, there was a bunch of different colors that I feel could've been reduced.
Nice game as always! Like the mechanics in it. Play pong with that poor thing ... Would be nice to have a "faster" camera when the blob is falling. Never saw the gears in time to save him (or my reflexes are crappy...).
Really cool mechanic, great execution and feel
The camera was sometimes more of a foe than a friend
Really great and polished. Loved it
Very good game and awesome feel, i liked the sounds in particular. I did get stuck and had to restart the level a lot tho
Great audio and visuals. It was a bit frustrating at times to move the slurpies with the platforms.
I loved the art style and the general mood, but... due to the camera affecting your mouse, sometimes moving precisely was a huge struggle. And since the camera was really slow to follow, as soon as your character drops off-screen it's over. This gave me mixed feelings - The idea is original, but still amazing job to you two ^^
The Blob is super cute and the level are amazing!!!Great Music and Graphics!!! The only thing i would say is that the controls feels a little bit cluncky and unresponsive with a mouse, but it isn't a big problem!!!
Now this I enjoyed a lot! Graphics and sound work play well together and with the physics type gameplay makes me want more levels! :D
Ok for the awesome graphic.. that was expected.. but I really liked the "story" behind it. I had problems controlling everything with my mouse but really fuin game :)
Awesome graphics and music. Interaction with the mouse felt a bit clunky, what made it a little too hard for me. Overall great work!
awesome
awesome
Awesome art, thrilling and cute animations, awesome level design, and wonderful physics. The difficulty curve could be tweaked a bit, and controls are a bit hard at times, but other than that, really awesome game!
Awesome entry, charming graphics and very polished. The only negative is it seems you can can stuck sometimes and need to restart, particularly in level 3 (under the wheel structure). Game is fun and one that I have added to my collection with intention on finishing at a later date.
It's fun, quite difficult, the graphics are really good but the music loop is too short so it gets very repetitive
The game was very fun and addictive but the camera was so frustrating, the blob kept going of screen and the cursor was floaty other than that i had a great time with the game.
Very fun and interesting game for speed and intelligence. But I'm not very bright. But I liked the game and I really had fun.
Cool, The mechanic of this game where you have to control the environment instead of the player actually has a lot of potential!
Feels very polished and its a lot of fun to play with the blob. Camera feels very slow, sometimes when the blob goes so fast that you can't control it's movement properly because the camera's far away from the gear. The level design was great. The audio was awesome apart from this clicking sound I could hear that was killing my ears.
Great game. The art and sound is amazing and the physics are so satisfying. Well done!
Great game.
A really fun game! Not to tricky not to tough. Nice job with the graphics and sounds as well!
Oh wow, this is polished. I mean, what's there that's not to love? A fun game, fantastic graphics, good sound. I guess if i must find something negative it would be that some deaths felt unfair due to gaps between platforms. But with short levels there is no real time loss and no frustration. Great game!
As always, Noah knocks it out of the park! Love it!
The art is great and I love the mood ! It's impressive to achieve this quality with so little time. However, I found the mechanics not very precise, it was too frustrating. I was stuck sometimes and I needed to restart level, it's probably a part of the gameplay but I think it needs some tweaking. Overall it's great, it's just little things.
One Word: Beautiful.
Game looks really nice and the audio complements very well. The gameplay is really well thought out. The web version has a little bit of lag and the game window size is a little too large (I'm using a 3000x2000 display, if that matters). I enjoyed playing the game. Really nice work!
Nice Job! very cute, funny and intelligent! Congratulation!
Wonderful game! The last level were brutal, but I managed to finish it! This could easily be a foundation for a full game, similar to World of Goo, for instance.
The game is fun, and the physic is well made enough to mention it, good job on that. The idea is simple but efficient, however I felt like some of the controls were a bit random, I know it is not, but sometimes it was quiet hard to understand how to control the platforms the right way, and sometimes it was just frustrating because I knew what I had to do and I just could not. And that leads me to the next point, I would have expected such a game to be more puzzle-based, here, it is just linear and you immediatly know how you can win, which is boring because I then just have to die and retry until the physic lets me win. Also, the camera sometimes didn't follow Slurpy fast enough so I died. Otherwise, this is a neat entry :)
In the 3rd level with the cog, the player kept rolling into a dip where the cog couldn't touch it which then took me 5 times longer to complete that level than was probably intended. Overall the game looked good and sounded nice, but for a game that focuses on using objects and other things to push the player around I think the levels would have worked a lot better with a fixed camera and ground that wasn't so uneven, then the gameplay would've improved from there (but just my opinion). Other than that, good job!
Lovely game idea and the physics felt great when I could use it. Unfortunately the camera left my powerless a lot of the time and stopped me from interacting with the objects I could control. Really love the idea and premise but the camera really irritated me that I couldn't do as much as I wanted to in this game. The rest of it is absolutely fantastic though and all works well together. Good Job!!
Wow!!!! Holy Shit! That's Game Is Like *The Best Game* Is Saw And Played EVER!! I'm not Lying. Thats so Good!! I Just Love IT!!! The Art Is SO Wonderful It gave Me A Good Felling In My Heart With The Cool Music! I Just Love It! You Can Easily Make It A Full Game! I Just Love IT!!! Only Problem Was That The controllers are a bit too Floaty. Like It's Hard To Move Things.
Wow the amount of polishing is amazing! The game looks and sounds great. The slurpies feel, sound and look very "slurpy" too :D
The interaction isn't as exciting though, balancing the slurpie on blocks and pushing it around felt kind of tedious at times. Pushing it in just the right angle to throw it up into the air felt good though. I think if the input wasn't drag and drop but instead pushing keyboard buttons with the correct timing would work better to make it less fiddly.
Fun, awesome looking and quite polished. Great work
Very nice entry and it feels so complete! The amount of polish is incredible and your concept works great! Its definitely a winner candidate! I hope it was a nice break from your Dashing Fire and that you two got inspiration for your next project :D !
Awesome visuals, as always, Noa! Also nice atmopshere due to the music. It's crazy what has been put together, gameplay wise, in so short time. Great that you focused on the main element of a game jam: gameplay.
Nice visuals, nice gameplay, nice sounds, nice everything! I'm absolutely in love with this game! I want to play the full version of it =))
AWESOME! literally it is very fun to play :)))))
A very cool and enjoyable game, good job!
I loved the game a lot, the idea and art was beautiful. @noa-calice can you play my game, https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/dying-plant
Loved the game! A very unique one indeed, and it follows the theme extremely well and it's just enjoyable experience! Looking forward for your next entries!
Awesome game! :D The only thing I would change is the camera, sometimes you cannot see the obstacles or cannot grab the thingies to save your slurpie, because there are offscreen. Liked it very much :) (ofcourse I am biased because I follow you both on yt :p)
The visuals, audio and mood were really well done! The art is really polished makes me feel really cozy (and threatening when it needs to be). The audio was pretty good too and contributed to the happy mood. Good job!
Like others have said, the camera is your worst enemy in this game. I think the main issue is that the camera lags behind the slurpy way too much, affecting controls and making the movements feel imprecise and unfair at time.
Side note, but i found myself not using the keyboard at the beginning of the game and was surprised when i had to press a button to advance to the next level. Maybe a left click you work here so the player doesn't get out of "the zone" when doing good on the game?
Great game! I love the graphics, audio, intuitiveness, and game play! The game is incredibly simple, and intuitive! One of my favorite games of the whole game jam! Stuck extremely well to the theme! Great game! Keep up the hard work!(I love both your youtube channels! You guys make great content!).
Best game tried so far in the jam! Everything is perfect and it's very fun!
Love everything about this game
A game like no other. Amazing visuals, audio and overall feel of the game. Well done and keep up the great work with both your games and youtube channels!
I enjoy playing it! and a lot!. Love the music and the graphics is stunning!. Love the squishy animation. Well done!
Great game, but camera was problematic in levels 8,9,10 also ending level was a bit problematic
Very similar feedback to everyone else. Fun soundtrack, animations, art, story line, and playgrounds. The camera kept pulling me away from the object I was trying to interact with though. Great submission, very polished considering the timeframe!
This was so fun, and so… Fluffcutesweeeeetish  …Yet challenging puzzle  Very well done!
Great job guys. The most polished game I have played in this Jam. Everything worked very well. Thanks for the game.
Super fun and cute game. I loved it.
Excellent job. I loved the animations and sound design. My only suggestion relates to the camera movement. There were times that I lost simply because the camera locked on to the main character but didn't move fast enough to catch up to the action, leaving me helpless with nothing to grab as my little player fell to his doom past grab-able objects that were just out of view. Otherwise, the game is fantastic. I actually started attending game jams thanks to your youtube channel and this is my first LD jam, so thank you!
This was a really great game. It was a lot tougher than i thought it would be. The camera made it a little hard to see what was going on sometimes. But that is just me trying to find some feedback to give about a really fun game. i loved the whole vibe. Keep up the good work.
Let me guess. Jonas made the art right...? :P In all seriousness that was an awesome game that I played right through to the end, which I rarely do. Cheers!
i think i played very similar commercial game some time ago, but anyway - great job, i like the idea and game mechanics.
Good job, nice art style, challenging and fun.
People already left a lot of positive comments, so I will try to point out things that could be improved in my opinion.
1. "R" to restart is set to GetKey, not GetKeyDown, so if you hold the button you respawn indefinitely. 2. You made it possible to control everything in the game with a mouse, except for the "game over" screen and restarts, maybe it could be a good idea to make it a "mouse only" game. 3. A few times per level there's a strange animation glitch in which the blob becomes 2 times bigger for a split second.
The game looks great and I had a lot of fun playing it!
Love the art style and the mechanic. My PC was a bit slow to play it, so I couln't really get the full effect. Definitely different to have a main character that you don't control directly. This'd be cool if developed beyond the compo, especially with the scenery interations. Would be great for mobile and multi-touch. @noa-calice
Great entry. Really reminded me of World of goo
I always play your entries to learn something new. A long time follower and fan. 5 starts all the way and a huge thanks for not showing how many times I failed at the end. That would have been really embarrassing. Loved the game throughout.
Very cute, love the mood, music, graphics. Jsut allround very nice.
Very nice looking entry. Had a lot of fun playing it. One problem I however had is that I sometimes found myself fighting with the camera. For example in level 5 I kept launching the blob out of view of the next planks, which made it hard to catch it when it came back down.
As always, fantastic art when it comes to your games! It's very cute and the audio is great. The game is very difficult though and I got a bit annoyed in a few places, but at least it made completing the levels really satisfying. I would recommend a camera that could be controlled by the player in this type of game, as it does mess with you a little. I've also run into a glitch where things you can cary (boxes) would get stuck in the walls. But putting aside those little things it was a very fun game and a lovely little story!
@noa-calice(blackthornprod ) and @jonas-tyroller(the same on yt :smirk:). Lovely game!! Loved the gameplay and the graphics!! This game deserves to be with Tiny Fragments and Hope(Lich Clicker was cr*p). Lovely cut-scene and game idea!! The background did look a teeny bit repetitive though. Anyways good luck with your game!!
Best game on a jam i guess! That sound...
Great game! love everything about it, i played it all the way through and had a lot of fun, really nice!
Glad to see @noa-calice teaming up with @jonas-tyroller once again! Great execution and gameplay mechanics! I had to play this as soon as I watched your videos about it! Well done and good luck!
Nice. I loved the video @noa-calice and @jonas-tyroller and the game is very fun, very difficult tho.
Great game! Loved the aesthetics, the graphics, the audio and the story, can totally see it being a full on game! Only issue I found was with the wheel on level 4 (I think), sometimes the blob would just stay below it and out of reach, but resetting fixed it so no big deal.
Nice game! This game is one of my favorite games so far. The games physics is the main selling point for me personally.
Great game, thanks to both authors. Really nice graphic style, it is funny and cute at same time. I cannot rate code base I did not saw it but every aspect of movement and animation makes me feel comfortable. I did not notice any lags or glitch, again good job guys :).
Rolling the Slurpy was really satisfying :) I enjoyed every moment of relaxing in the game, it was 8th lvl I think. The lvl where spikes are set all around, it was quite challenging for me but after 6th run I finally made it.
In whole game I only noticed 1 sound effect issue and I think it was clipping when you sometimes rolling Slurpy too fast.
woa.. simple game, but really well made. I like this one a lot more than the you guys previous ld jam. Really like the cutscene, sound, and the gradient coloring. Youtube of making this game is interesting as well. And yes, people play it like that. Its not relaxing, its smash and kick the blob to sunflower.
Awesome game man! I want to touch that thing in real life.
I absolutely love the amount of polish that went into this! I know you guys worked as a team(and have been doing this for a while), but it still always impresses me just how much quality goes into both of you guy's jam games.
The physics of rolling slurpy around and tossing him about the level were incredibly satisfying. I'm going to have to copy peoples opinion of the camera being unwieldy, though.
Keep up the good work, let the slurpies roll free!
A really good game. I liked the difficulty, it was pretty hard. The art was beautiful and the gameplay was good. The audio was nice too. The only thing I had a problem with was controlling the platforms when the camera was moving, it was really annoying.
Overall a really good game especially for a game jam!
This is acually one of the best games that I've ever played! Keep it up!
Edit: the camera is pretty bad tho
Wow, one of the most polished game i've played so far ! Great job ! Loved the video about you making it as well !
Wow I love this entry, I had a lot of fun play playing it! Love the animations and the feeling of squishy of the player.
Really nice game, very beautiful. A rage a little bit but that was ok :D The only issue for me is the camera movement, I think it could be better to include the speed of the Slurpy to preshot its futur position for the camera position. Otherwise, nice job!
Man that was awesome! The art was amazing! The only things that annoyed me were the rotating platforms and the camera movement. The camera would fall behind too quickly so the blob would be on the very edge of the screen or not visible at all. Other than that I loved it! Oh yeah and watch out for the god of game dev! ;)
