LD44 — Your life is currency

This is your life now by reuno 2019-05-15T17:46:45Z

Great game you got here! Solid entry.

BETRAYDED by karreg 2019-05-07T12:07:49Z

Very impressive and well executed on all fronts!

Dead Frog Tell No Tales by pixelstuff 2019-05-04T22:36:44Z

Loved the art with this one! Great idea, and the execution was solid. Music and sound was also great, and really played into the theme. Great job!

Bartleby in Space by CarlsonAndPeeters 2019-05-07T11:46:22Z

Very simple game, but the execution was so solid that, when playing, you forget what you're doing is just fetch quests. Really like the artwork, and the atmosphere. The music was a nice touch too. Very well done!

Memorandum by PhilStrahl 2019-05-01T17:09:04Z

Good game! Managed to get the best ending without too much trouble. I look forward to watching the Post Mortem on this one.

The Branch by Poffle 2019-05-02T12:48:40Z

Very unique game you have made here. It has that sort of narrative similar to The Office, and the dialogue is very funny. I did find it a bit slow at times with the dialogue, but it was still very funny and it's clear you put a lot of effort into it. Well done!

Space Gunner by GerardB 2019-05-03T14:00:08Z

Really fun game you have here! I really liked the graphics of it, and the effects too. I would have preferred for the camera to have been a bit more zoomed out and for you not to lose all your coins when you get hit as it then becomes very hard to get any upgrades as I kept running into enemies that instantly come out of nowhere. But I had fun nonetheless and still managed to make it quite far.

Path of Redemption by Simon Rahnasto 2019-05-02T10:57:43Z

Very good game! Was really impressed with the music, sound and art with this one. The gameplay did get a little repetitive towards the end but was fun nonetheless. A lot more features than I was expecting.

PizzoTyping by Carpin 2019-05-03T15:52:47Z

Really liked this one, nice work!

Roboxery by cozmic 2019-05-03T14:56:45Z

Was challenging and fun, though there was quite a lot of waiting time.

Love Your Heart by teo989 2019-05-08T18:03:37Z

Fun to play, though simple. For a game that focuses a lot on moving platforms, I felt like the moving platforms could have been improved a little. I did like the cubes in the background and the camera movement though.

Save Your Bacon! by Furtive Pygmy 2019-05-02T11:16:35Z

Was a nice fun game to play. The challenge started slow then seemed to take a big leap at the end, but I managed to make it to level 12.

TheMechanizedHero by RustyCrow 2019-05-02T12:07:12Z

Really nice looking game, I liked the concept of spending your health to take a swing. Though I felt like the game was very unforgiving, a few spare health points in each round would've been nice, or maybe a health powerup? Overall though I liked it, nice work.

The Fabulous Wandering of Gorgeous Inconspicuous Piggy Bank 9000: Amazing Pigsy by EvilSock 2019-05-07T12:00:08Z

I didn't really know how to play, how the game played, or what I was meant to be doing. Graphics were nice though, and I liked the mushroom effect.

Reach Together by Nakami 2019-05-03T14:43:41Z

Really confused on what I had to do, and there was no explanation on how to play the game or anything. Impressive art though.

Fair n Square by DaniDev 2019-05-03T14:37:00Z

Nice game. Very simple graphics, but it worked well.

Rotten Planet by Sky909 2019-05-03T12:09:59Z

Nice game, enjoyed playing it. Though I found a lack of challenge, and a little bit monotonous after a bit, but good game nonetheless.

TheDescent by geist_191 2019-05-03T14:11:39Z

Nice game. Liked the graphics with this one, good work.

Protect The Dungeon by MashUpGames 2019-04-29T11:42:30Z

Made a little error in my links (whoops), the link for the Windows version of the game is accidentally the source code link, but you can get the Windows .zip file by navigating outside the SourceCode directory into the superdirectory LudumDare44: https://github.com/TheMashupMann/LudumDare44/tree/master/

Protect The Dungeon by MashUpGames 2019-05-03T09:52:44Z

@wigner-matos Thank you, creative was what I was hoping for! I do agree that it feels a little monotonous, and I did have the ideas that you mentioned, it just unfortunately came down to time constraints.

@khamekaze Thanks, I do agree that this has a lot of potential, hopefully I will revisit this idea in the future and flesh it out more.

@furtive-pygmy I put a lot of effort into the art, so I'm glad you enjoyed it! I would've liked to add sound and music if I had a couple more hours. And I agree with the difficulty, but because playtesting took so long I couldn't properly balance the game. There's actually another monster that is unlocked past round 10 but I didn't have the time to make sure it's actually possible to make it that far haha.

Protect The Dungeon by MashUpGames 2019-05-05T16:56:00Z

@adam-clayden thanks for playing that far, let alone making it that far!

@falak thanks, I did think of that before making it but then that would've taken more time that I didn't have.

@joshanthony1990 the difference between the two units are the goblin has higher health and attack power than the skeleton. And I would have absolutely added some audio if I had a couple more hours.

@gerardb thank you for playing!

Protect The Dungeon by MashUpGames 2019-05-11T13:33:24Z

@pl4typus I did plan on having a fast-forward feature, but time became an issue so unfortunately I couldn't add it.

@redz0ner yeah it was intended to be able to build inbetween waves, that way the player could prepare themselves before the next wave starts.

@teo989 some good ideas there! If I continue this game I'll take those into consideration. And yeah, I realised that bug towards the end of the jam, but I didn't realise it would make the enemy op so I didn't think much of fixing it.

@raphiell yeah I didn't think people would be able to reach a point of being that rich haha. Thanks!

Blood and goods by selewi 2019-05-10T20:55:04Z

Definitely my favourite game of this jam!

Heartreasure by nettaigyo 2019-05-02T12:26:32Z

Very lovely looking game, very stylized! Though some audio would've been nice to add to the atmosphere, probably the only flaw I can see with this game.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Inmate by dib 2019-10-29T11:51:52Z

I didn't really know what any of my items did, when I used them I couldn't see any difference. And I got stuck by enemies a lot since I couldn't move past them to escape. Thought it would've been nice to see the player look in the direction they're moving - if you wanted an isometric look I would've stuck with the isometric movement. But nice game to play overall, think you guys have the potential to make something truly great if you had smaller scope.

Paint Rush by Ekilibr 2019-10-29T12:02:04Z

Oh wow that game is fun to play! It feels so fun just to punch hidden enemies, hit them again, then throw them, there's some nice rhythm to it. Maybe could have liked just a bit more colour or variety in the scene. I know you were going for the 'everything is blank' sort of vibe, but after a while it makes every part of the level feel, well, pretty much the same. But the gameplay definitely makes up for most of that!

Flubby Farm by yazara 2019-10-23T19:59:49Z

Very fun game! Got distracted playing it for like half an hour so you've definitely done something good in my eyes

Thanks for Nothing by PhilStrahl 2019-10-29T12:19:40Z

Nice work for someone who learned Unity in 48 hours! I couldn't find the 2nd ending, but was fun to play. Weird concept, but you ran with it nicely.

ØJE by Gaming Night 2019-10-12T12:09:08Z

Really nice artwork, loved the artstyle. But I found the platforming extremely difficult in some areas as it was very fiddly and felt like some coins could only be collected if you jumped or moved for an exact number of frames, or were in an exact position. But I really liked the mood of this.

Pandorama by CrazyHomeboys 2019-10-29T12:09:15Z

Really like the 'unlocking game mechanics' part of this game, and the art style is definitely my favourite of this jam. But once I started only unlocking guns, I felt like you missed some truly fun opportunities. If you went the more funny route this could've been an absolutely amazing game, unlocking silly things that change the game mechanics more than just 'you shoot differently'. But great game, hope you take this further!

Alchemicraft by chaosed0 2019-10-23T21:04:58Z

was playing this for over half an hour, and I kept unlocking stuff and finding new areas throughout! Loved that final upgrade for the ending too!

バクラウBloodless by Danilo Freire 2019-10-23T20:25:09Z

Loved the theme of this! Took me a bit of time to figure out how to play well, but once I did I found the game pretty fun. Got a little challenging but nothing I wasn't able to ultimately overcome. Great one!

DREAMS by Ferdi 2019-10-29T12:26:05Z

Not really sure how to play this game, it just seems like dragging objects to me. Not my thing, but I'm sure other people would like it.

Day Zero by Emma B 2019-10-23T20:06:33Z

Very fun game to play! I would have liked my achievements to stay on screen a bit longer so I could actually read what I got, but was pleasantly surprised by the two secret achievements I found, good one!

Memories of Eleph by Leandroc 2019-10-13T14:28:48Z

Lovely music, good art, I just found the game to be a little short. Some nice mechanics with the water and rocks, but didn't feel like they were explored much. Apart from that, good work!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Egdar's Blobs by Noa Calice 2020-04-23T13:56:33Z

In the 3rd level with the cog, the player kept rolling into a dip where the cog couldn't touch it which then took me 5 times longer to complete that level than was probably intended. Overall the game looked good and sounded nice, but for a game that focuses on using objects and other things to push the player around I think the levels would have worked a lot better with a fixed camera and ground that wasn't so uneven, then the gameplay would've improved from there (but just my opinion). Other than that, good job!

Terri-Fried by PolyMars 2020-04-23T14:05:39Z

Nice fun minigame. Would've been nice if coins were bigger so you could collect them no matter where on the platform you land, since I often died just trying to do a tiny jump over to it. Some people have said a better trajectory indicator would've been nice and I agree, as it was hard to tell where you would land. Also if you made platforms able to pass through from below then that would've avoided so many deaths for me. But nice job!

LD53 — Delivery

Heart-Warming Deliveries by Joscco 2023-05-03T12:39:41Z

Very fun game! Loved the artstyle, and the gameplay offers a lot of fun challenging puzzles. Think it could be more apparent that you don't need to deliver all the food, I got stuck for a very long time because I couldn't figure this out. But you expanded on the idea well with the traffic lights and the dog, good entry!

AirTaxi by bixarrio 2023-05-04T08:13:14Z

Gravity could be turned down a bit, it's quite hard to fly around and I was always falling through the map by not holding up for ~2 seconds. Fun idea for an entry, though I would have maybe liked different buildings or a different skybox to feel like I was flying through a city rather than a black void

Deep Sands Delivery by Rjdrag 2023-05-04T08:07:25Z

Definitely a lot of potential to take this game beyond the game jam, very cool concept!
