I liked the art style and the survival elemand. Maybe the water sound is a lite bit to much.
Beautiful art style. Those bulls sure are tough . Great game, good job!
I really liked the setting of the game. It was nice seeing my player progress to the point of "escaping" the island! Overall movement felt nice, the sounds fitted the game and it had fun gameplay! :D
I thought it was over with the "Really Long Sword", as it felt really powerful, but then I discovered the other part of the island and finally finished the game! It is a charming survival/crafting game similar to Don't Starve. I really dig the 1-bit graphics and retro sound effects :) The controls were a bit confusing at first, I also didn't know the names of the items right away as they are only shown in the recipes, but not in the inventory. Exploring the island and finding new crafting materials was a nice experience!
Very impressive entry. The only two things that I missed where descriptions of the items I picked and lack of musing (that sea sound gets annoying pretty fast). Over all amazing work guys!
Really impressive work. Very large feeling game for how little time you had. Great art, great gameplay, great job! Thanks for bringing it by the stream!
Cool! Rarely see a game of this type on LD)) Of the shortcomings is not very convenient control (for me), and it is advisable to add a description of objects (their name).I would like to play the full version of this game if you are going to develop this project in the future!
Sea sound is too noisy for me. Attack and movement feels nice. I am also impressed with the amount of content and progression the game has!
Thank you for making this game. I enjoyed it!
Love the simplicity in the art style! Good art direction :-) As mentioned above, a lot of content created in such a short amount of time :-) Keep it up
Simple but nice graphics
First mincraftlike on this jam that I really enjoyed and played to the end. Ultimate sword is ultimate.
Noooo, I was really enjoying playing and then the inventory opened and wouldn't close! Now I've lost my awesome progress =(
I really loved the game, but it was a bit hard to pick up at first, since you only hold two items and must have two specific items to craft a bigger bag, making it hard to figure out from the get go. The world was also instantly open, so I had no clue what I was meant to be doing. Once I got bag upgrades though, things started getting really cool!
*please implement saving*
I absolutely loved the aesthetic, the 8-bit sound effects and the simple yet *super* effective pixel art were very charming. My only regret is that I tried to pet a little bunny but killed it instead :(
I'm shocked at how much you were able to get done, damn. Especially in terms of art, this game is awesome. Polish it up and finish it, please!
This is amazing! I'm a sucker for the black/white pixel art aesthetic and this game makes great use of it. You fit an amazing amount of content in. Lots to collect and craft and the island is fun to explore. The sound effects are simple but suit the art. I think the water sound should be turned down though. It would also be nice if the names of items were displayed in your inventory when they're selected. This is the best game I played so far this jam - excellent job! Also - any chance you could provide a standalone build to download?
@balance686 - there's a download at the bottom of the itch page :D
Graphics were really nice, and the atmosphere was great! I think starting the player off with a tiny bag was kind of unnecessarily harsh. I get that it kind of forced a progression, but it caused me to navigate the inventory system a lot, which isn't really where I wanted to spend my time in the game.
@chaosed0 I'm blind :P Thanks for letting me know
was playing this for over half an hour, and I kept unlocking stuff and finding new areas throughout! Loved that final upgrade for the ending too!
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my livestream!
