LD46 — Keep it alive

Paper Disco by Moskoman 2020-04-22T18:43:50Z

From the moment I saw the character T. Maia and read the words "Motherf***ers" I INSTANTLY thought of one man, Samuel L Jackson, I really loved all the inspiration you took, and the AUDIO was incredible heck even getting beaten up by some Space Chicken stays with the beat of the MUSIC. Amazing game, good work.

Air Ball by joh 2020-04-22T17:11:56Z

I wasn't really sure how it worked in the beginning however the moment that everything clicked it became a lot more fun, the music and the background beach noise didn't feel repetitive and the characters are so wonderfully drawn (I like these kinds of simple styles that remind me of Animal Crossing).

I couldn't get an impressive score but it was fun, overall a wonderful cheerful game with an interesting take on "Keep it alive"

Blood Oath by alexhonor 2020-04-22T21:23:41Z

You've read this many times already but yeah too much Shake and Hit Stop. I didn't find it that hard because I felt like the sword's hitbox is very big (might be a bug), however the AUDIO and VISUALS are just amazing, it is too short but has a lot of potential. It was fun, good job.

Baby, please don't break my hearts by Stadoblech 2020-04-22T18:57:16Z

If I had to explain your game with one word it would be: JUICE. By far the JUICIEST game I played in this jam, it has it all, SCREEN SHAKE ,CRUNCHY SOUNDS, SCREEN SHAKE. I really loved it but my only problem is that it doesn't get harder as time progresses so I would recommend putting a challenge like "beat this time xx:xx:xx with not hearts lost". Overall fun game with simple art style that reminded me of Bad Apple and Undertale.

Egdar's Blobs by Noa Calice 2020-04-22T22:09:24Z

One Word: Beautiful.

Dr. Noir by UnidayStudio 2020-04-22T21:37:47Z

It was fun, however I couldn't enjoy it much because it was slow and choppy on my pc, I am not a big fan of the visuals because it feels kinda inconsistent like some trees and barrels are Low Poly while the character was smooth shaded and stuff BUT it looked good. I liked the idea of the side effects however I got like 6 walk slower in a row and that just meant no chance of winning for me, well viruses are ALWAYS unfair so that made sense. Overall fun and interesting idea, could use some optimization and post processing.

SPECIAL MEAT for a special boy by LethalTurtle 2020-04-22T01:03:38Z

@si-wtosl the meat is inside the boxes dropped in the vent opposite of the monster's room. also sweet time, I never thought it was possible.

SPECIAL MEAT for a special boy by LethalTurtle 2020-04-24T00:00:23Z

@eoshadows Glad you liked it, there is a vent opposite to the monster's door and it has special food boxes, when have enough money (30 or more) you use the computer (F to interact or press the BUY button when in register mode) and food boxes will drop in the vent, just grab em and feed them to the monster. I would like doing a version that fixes all these unclear elements however I am not sure whether it is allowed or not so all I made were bug fixes (This is my first ludum dare).

Embers by Anuke 2020-04-22T21:03:36Z

Despite being a game made for a Game Jam it feels like a complete game, I loved it.

VampySitter by MacDoom 2020-04-22T18:48:49Z

Main Menu aside all the other sprites were beautiful and smooth (especially when Falling and using the Cross), the game was fun, and the Audio was really great. Loved it.

Nuclear Family by Zigg 2020-04-22T18:46:40Z

When I first downloaded the game I didn't expect much tbh, however the moment I saw the SLAP I realized that I was wrong. really funny and fun game with some sound effects that make it even funnier.

Blobbysitter by Jake Marks 2020-04-24T14:50:25Z

HOW IS HE A BABY?!?!?, he looks like an 80 yr old with all of those stray hairs. Fun game, took me 5 tries to get it right.

Techno Oink by Washington Irving 2020-04-22T17:04:34Z

(sorry if my criticism is harsh) The first 2 levels were well designed, however the same cannot be said to the rest of the levels. There are many things I would like to say so I'll just make it a list 1. The BULLETS > They feel awkward and the slow, and there was a bug where the bullets could pass through objects (I encountered it multiple times in the 3rd level when the pig was behind the truck, the enemies would just keep shooting him and he would die even though he was behind the truck). 2. The WEAPON > It is slow, it is single fire when most enemies are auto fire, the bullets are weird. 3. The TURRET > It NEVER stops shooting no matter how many times I shot it, like it would've been a lot better if it stopped for a bit after being shot until it recovers.

I enjoyed the first 2 levels, they were REALLY fun, however I got really frustrated at the bullet bug in the 3rd stage and the ridiculous amount of enemies in the 4th stage when I can hardly kill them with one shot and I can only shoot ONE bullet at a time.

OK, that was a LOT of talk about things I DIDN'T LIKE now let me talk about the things I LIKED 1. The PIG (TECHNO-OINK) > He is your average everyday Escort Mission NPC but I loved dragging him around instead of waiting for him to walk slowly, just makes escorting more fun and engaging. 2. The VISUALS > I liked the simple colors of SUPER HOT so it was nice seeing it again in this game, also the Robots looked cool and interesting. 3. The AUDIO The music was nice however the lack of sounds effects when I shoot and hit an enemy made the game feel awkward.

Overall an interesting game that could use LOTS of improvement, it has potential.

Tumbleweed by Brenan 2020-04-22T18:38:44Z

I am not into poetry but I really liked how the words sounded and rhymed, the visuals were just beautiful, in-fact it was too beautiful that the game ran in 20 fps on my PC, but overall I REALLY liked it and how beautiful everything looked, the desert, the ships, everything just felt good. Incredible work, good job.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Capsaiciner by a333 2021-04-28T19:29:22Z

Amazing visuals and mood, using the background to hide the collectables was genius, I really loved the ending (Satan gave me a top hat).

Gundemonium by AkirAssasin 2021-04-30T02:58:24Z

Amazing, wonderful, brilliant, one of the best LudumDare games I've played so far.

Holey Hell by managore 2021-04-27T22:42:50Z

What everyone else said... but seriously this game is amazing.

Upset Crab by 43sam 2021-04-30T01:34:51Z

The art was amazing and concept was brilliant, I love it.

Vile Things by JakobTheQuizGuy 2021-05-02T00:02:31Z

Loved it, the enemy designs are amazing (reminded me of Berserk).

Glitch Dip by Volkolak 2021-04-28T19:54:37Z

The game was very clunky and weird but I felt like that just added to its charm, also I really liked the final boss.

Soulsmith by Dark Blue Dragon Games 2021-04-27T22:54:44Z

I liked the concept and the particles were amazing, however the camera felt too zoomed in and the coins were too difficult to pick up.

Rhongapo: Mindless by Desubication 2021-04-28T19:50:32Z

The movement was very frustrating and the small warning signs were hard to notice at first, but I liked the concept and the voice acting was nice (was that a real language or gibberish?).

The Undergroundies by Wbertrand 2021-04-30T03:22:00Z

It was an interesting game, I liked the part where you are falling down and bat enemies starting falling from above, the background art was also good.

DEEP METAL by Kytta_ 2021-04-27T22:49:52Z

The visuals and mood are amazing, the bats could use some animations for their attacks but overall a very solid game.
