Jingoku by Skyeward 2021-10-06T08:44:08Z

Impressive game :open_mouth: The production value is really high, it's very polished! Much congratulations to the team

RIFT by Pavocado 2021-10-04T21:55:11Z

Loved the minimalist art! Overall concept is simple but fun  I had a few issues with the character seemingly getting stuck, but no game breaking bugs. Puzzle games are the best, I wish I had the talent to design them.

Unstable Gamble by rzfmzn 2021-10-04T22:31:48Z

I don't think I got much control over the results of the search of the matter, during the slots and during the bonus round, maybe I missed something?

Nevertheless, being able to finish a game and deliver it all by yourself is quite a feat

Cybotica by neowhoru 2021-10-05T12:22:03Z

Controls are straightforward and the mechanics are fun! Love the retro wave art style

Globs With Guns by Zachary Shah 2021-10-09T06:19:26Z

If you take all the previous comments into account I think you can release a post jam version that will be very solid. I like the minimalist art style, good job on delivering such quality by yourself!

Harvesting Motherboards by MaxKyckling 2021-10-11T07:49:38Z

Love the graphics! Wish it could run in a browser

Bleakworld. by D1gital Cuts 2021-10-04T22:20:14Z

Got some Celeste x Binding of Isaac vibes from your video

Shifty Showers by tetrapteryx 2021-10-06T16:24:13Z

So cute! As other said, clever mechanics

WackyJet by Anshul K 2021-10-04T22:03:54Z

I missed that I had to press S to start the travel when I first played, fortunately I read the comments and understood my mistake. Otherwise I would've left frustrated :stuck_out_tongue: If you update the game, don't hesitate to put more indications when you encounter the aliens

Nevertheless, it's a pretty cool submission and I wish you the best for your 4th game jam next year

Mountaineer by vsi- 2021-10-08T22:03:42Z

Hahaha I loved the concept  Quite hard!

Blast Mine Catcher by 3amsoda 2021-10-04T22:13:21Z

Short and fast-paced! I liked that everything is simple and understandable straight away. Great submission!

Watch your step by Haematite 2021-10-08T22:14:03Z

Great entry for someone working all alone! I caught the jam fever this year too and I hope we get to compete again

UNSUSTAINABLE: a god job by froissant 2021-10-04T21:49:25Z

Thank you everyone for your comments! We really appreciate your feedback and are glad you like how submission :two_hearts:

@florianbald we polished the game during the last few hours, and audio bugs should be gone :) I've also added a bit of audio to some actions we initially missed, and put my heart into the Game Over scene :v:

@3amsoda took quite some time for @Shinyo to get it right, but basically every drawing is compared pixel by pixel to the reference texture, if it matches it's 1 point, otherwise we check if any adjacent squares were colored and give 0.5 point if it's just a pixel away -- otherwise it's 0 points for this square

@xschaumix that's a good score, the game speeds up quite fast in the end... My personal best is 3400 but I was on mobile :smirk:

@pavocado glad you noticed (and liked!) the TARDIS drawn by our artist @Tayteus :blue_heart: We tried to put as much easter eggs as possible while not compromising the delivery of the much needed assets for the game

UNSUSTAINABLE: a god job by froissant 2021-10-05T10:27:20Z

Thank you guys :hearts:

@deav we had harder mini-games (the lights one was a "Lights Out"-style game for example, where changing one light affected the surrounding lights), but it was really difficult to balance the time it took to complete mini-games vs the time it took for the gauges to fill in the short amount of time we had to playtest, so in the end we leveled down the difficulty to keep the game fun but not frustrating.

I'll pass along all your comments on the art to @Tayteus

UNSUSTAINABLE: a god job by froissant 2021-10-05T12:42:18Z

@aquilart once a gauge at the top is filled, you get a Game Over screen with your score -- didn't you get one?

@cerieyele glad you enjoyed the sound design  Our artist @Tayteus has an instagram account ([@autostrip_tristan](https://www.instagram.com/autostrip_tristan/)) but as you can see he usually posts comics there, producing pixel art for our game was actually the challenge he put himself up to this week-end  (I just edited a video of our twitch livestream where you can see him draw [Earth exploding](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1168042589) :v: I'll try to edit more clips in the coming days)

UNSUSTAINABLE: a god job by froissant 2021-10-05T15:51:44Z

@substain you're right! We could implement only 2 difficulty settings so the step is a bit high... 5 games in easy mode, then the rest is hard mode

@marc-grabow I've updated the description to warn users  thanks for the feedback!

UNSUSTAINABLE: a god job by froissant 2021-10-06T07:10:10Z

Thank you again for your feedback

UNSUSTAINABLE: a god job by froissant 2021-10-06T16:29:10Z

@tetrapteryx I had to pester @Tayteus for hours before he drew the cat for me haha  Glad you liked the color mixing mini-game, that's my baby :stuck_out_tongue: We had a lot of discussion about it, whether we should go with substractive or additive mixing, because people might not be used to additive, but it turned out great I think.

@hotowlgirls thanks :thumbsup:

UNSUSTAINABLE: a god job by froissant 2021-10-08T11:15:58Z

@sanemsky Yeah, the lights go off on purpose if you take too much time to light them all  the goal is to keep you on your toes at all time

UNSUSTAINABLE: a god job by froissant 2021-10-09T08:15:44Z

@ardorugus I take note of your suggestion! At first we wanted a bit more narration in the game but were short on time, so I think we tried to cram too much on the first screen, acting as a mini tutorial... (I had the idea to put a fully fledged user manual inside the game for each machine but @Tayteus already had a lot on its plate at this point  )

UNSUSTAINABLE: a god job by froissant 2021-10-21T12:06:44Z

@pikario apologies for the sound! None of us were very experienced with sound design, but everyone's feedback here has been valuable and I'm sure in our next game we'll be better

@rjmarzec thank you :smile:

Idle Is Bad by FlorianBalD 2021-10-04T21:37:01Z

Very fun little game, going for the Compo takes balls :) Getting the timing for jumps right is not always easy, but I enjoyed your submission.

Kingdom's Logistics by Hadik 2023-01-13T13:35:54Z

It's impressive that you built everything by yourself.

I feel like the game is a bit slow to start, the characters don't move very fast and you have to wait for the resources to be produced quite a lot. But it's entertaining nonetheless!

Maize Runner by miltage 2023-01-16T14:31:12Z

Well done! I love the aestethics. I also had the idea to make a temple runner game during our brainstorming session, so I'm glad to see someone had the same idea and managed to make it fun

Shadow Harvester by Ntimi 2023-01-10T20:16:17Z

As other said, great art direction and great ambiance, but right after getting the canon it gets a bit boring :(

Wurmi by joewan 2023-01-13T13:41:35Z

Nice short puzzle game. As others have said, adding animations and sound effects would have a big impact

Foraging Frenzy: Too Many Plants by almost 2023-01-27T17:46:08Z

Controls are a bit wonky, graphics are great!

If you have some time I'd be glad if you could test my game and leave me a rating :v:

Lovecraftian Famring by Snowdrama 2023-01-27T17:42:03Z

Love the pixel art / animations, but not a fan of the UI.

Only 6 votes left! If you have some time I'd be glad if you could test my game too

Subnuggets by unless games 2023-01-12T11:28:25Z

I like the graphics and the sound effects bring the atmosphere together, but as said previously, I didn't understand the point of the game or the relation to the theme. I might have missed something, it could be useful to update your game page with some more information!

This is my Dream Job by EggshellDog 2023-01-14T16:18:29Z

Here's your 20th rating

I played the game on mobile as it was advertised, controls were a bit rough but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I'll give it another go on desktop later!

Harvest Simulator by kromeboy 2023-01-10T14:03:05Z

Congrats on making all of this alone! The leaderboard is a nice addition πŸ‘πŸ»

Crops on fire by Richard Jedlicka 2023-01-23T14:13:32Z

It was really fun driving the combine, but hell mode really felt like HELL  I'll try to revisit it when not live streaming to avoid people making fun of me.

Hex-Yield by AndideBob 2023-01-23T14:06:51Z

Wow, such a wonderful game! It's like doodle god mixed with civilizations  Really enjoyed the gameplay and the art!

ZenBox by anstabo 2023-01-11T13:11:49Z

The scenery is really beautiful. I like contemplative games like that.

Harvest or Die by Ninnec 2023-01-23T13:11:59Z

Really fun game! Took quite a while to get the hang of the mechanic, but the concept is really fun!

Liked the art direction, the creepiness of the level and monsters is interesting

Harvest or Die by Ninnec 2023-01-23T17:03:40Z

@ninnec here's the replay: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1716029414  (I was at work, too!)

Harvest by Cloistered 2023-01-10T14:08:03Z

Funny trying to stack things and get to the end. Wish it had keyboard controls.

Charles, the Bee by Blue Pin Studio 2023-01-13T14:09:48Z

Loved the art style, got a bit bored harvesting pollen, but the rythm game was a nice touch. Congrats!

Fast Aerial Harvesting by betovf 2023-01-13T13:24:37Z

I think it'd be great to update the game page with some more instructions, it took a few tries to correctly get the hang of it. Congrats on delivering this by yourself!

Propaganda by She Wrote 2023-01-23T13:23:31Z

Managed to make it! FOOOOOD!

It was so simple, but it was also so stressful keeping the propaganda meter up! (especially because I didn't notice you could take multiple items at once!)

Congrats on delivering it by yourself!

Dang Crows! by Jason Wilson 2023-01-11T16:11:39Z

Fun concept. Congrats on delivering this by youself!

The Harvest by EpicGameFan 2023-01-13T16:27:01Z

I would looove to code a gameboy game just like yours!

My only complaint, as others previously said, are regarding the controls / cursor speed: it gets tiring after some time to go from the game screen to the inventory etc.

I struggled with z-fighting issues with sprites in my game also, so it was funny to see I wasn't the only one

CROP NINJA by Bo Dangles 2023-01-12T11:37:52Z

Very challenging platformer! Integrating a timer / speedrun elements is a great idea. Controls were a bit rough, as other have said, using "N" is not the most straightforward way to use abilities, but after some time you get used to it.

The day before the harvest by froissant 2023-01-10T09:29:35Z

Thank you everyone!

@titos2k glad you caught it πŸ˜‰

@andy-link some are tricky, don't hesitate if you need a hint!

@orhu our apologies regarding the framerate issue you had. We did our best to optimize everything, but it's our first game on this scale and we will use the time post-jam to understand in depth your issue and try to mitigate it in our next jams.

The day before the harvest by froissant 2023-01-10T10:58:34Z

@amkingtrp yeah exactly, previous games we developed were built using the Unity UI framework over Canvases, but for this one we used a 2D world and had lots of issues with the sorting order of the sprites, that's also the reason we have a couple of quirky colliders πŸ˜‚

@kromeboy haha glad you liked it! Way to evoke nostalgia 🎢

@pitisek nice! did you find all 30 memories? We save them between runs, so you can complete it later! We didn't have time to make a special screen when you collect everything, but if we were to polish the game that would be one of our priorities.

@fionasprinkles thank you πŸ™πŸ»

The day before the harvest by froissant 2023-01-10T13:09:55Z

@nougato when it starts raining, you can hear the cry of a creature that crawled out of hiding... try something bold with it 😘

The day before the harvest by froissant 2023-01-11T11:07:30Z

@leon-oost @korvack thanks for your comments, don't hesitate if you need any hints  (there's one above, it might be the one you're missing)

The day before the harvest by froissant 2023-01-11T16:57:17Z

@jason-wilson thanks for taking the time to play the game and your kind comments!

The mushroom effect is randomized, so sometimes it flashes from zero to a full effect, sometimes it stays on for the whole duration but the effect is less pronounced πŸ™‚

Regarding the theme, it was indeed a bit of a stretch. Our artist initially wanted to do pixel art + have a horror vibe to our game this jam, and we collectively spent more than 2 hours at the start of the night brainstorming ideas around horror games, but we never anything that really clicked. After talking about a game we all played and loved (A Short Hike), I suggested we scrap our current ideas and go for a game without a set goal where you spend your last day of free time before the harvest season and just enjoy yourself. So it's a bit of a stretch, but it helped us get out of a (creative) rut

The day before the harvest by froissant 2023-01-12T11:48:31Z

@vrerabek thank you fellow cat lover πŸ˜»πŸ™πŸ»

@bo-dangles thank you! Animal Crossing and A short hike were inspirations

The day before the harvest by froissant 2023-01-27T18:20:50Z

@snowdrama congrats!

The Circular Reaper by greenphox 2023-01-10T20:34:09Z

Fun game, great artistic direction, challenging and not boring

Arnold the Reaper by D3kryption 2023-01-11T17:47:34Z

The intro is funny but a bit too long. As soon as the game started, my laptop fan went rogue πŸ˜… I like the Assassin's Creed-like gameplay, but the controls were a bit rough. Nevertheless, impressive work!

BEANSTALKERS by HexyVexy 2023-01-13T14:02:05Z

Loved the aesthetics! I don't have a controller handy, so I played with keyboard and mouse, which was manageable. Congrats!

Veggie Clash by barce 2023-01-12T13:54:50Z

I love card games, so it was a good surprise. Took me some time to figure out a good strategy for the vegetables but once I got the hang of it I enjoyed fighting the other farmers. It would have been great to be able to continue playing after 3 victories

Hermesh by Kultuk 2023-01-23T13:40:12Z

Really short but solid entry! I liked how the character moved when jumping, pretty good controller! I think an end screen would've been nice

What becomes of all these ducks souls?!

Garden of Eldritch Delights by autumnmnmn 2023-01-23T13:32:55Z

Loved the art! We tried to play with a French keyboard (Azerty) with two players and it was a bit of a mess :confounded: I think it'd be great to be able to remap the keys

Techno Plants by morpheyz 2023-01-11T16:19:34Z

I didn't expect to be entertained by a root progressing through soil to a techno beat, but I liked it!

Nesting by HypernoodleJon 2023-01-11T06:50:22Z

Surprised by the sprite and mechanic change when I started hoarding twigs, that's a nice touch. As other have said, the ending is a bit rough, I spent some time trying to interact with the nest to no avail. Congrats on delivering this by yourself!

Oxygen Harvest by Spargit 2023-01-27T15:01:49Z

LD53 — Delivery

Parcel Blaster 2099 by graebor 2023-05-03T13:15:22Z

Congrats on delivering this by yourself! I had the idea of using the packages as projectiles too, but we went with another concept in the end

Message Delivered by velvetlobster 2023-05-03T14:21:40Z

That was unexpected  I was wondering if my computer was glitchy or if it was intended, so we can say that your design was convincing.

Felt a bit lost at first.

RogueLike Delivers by Ausstein 2023-05-08T19:00:18Z

It's took me some time to get the combat mechanics, but it's impressive what you've assembled in 72 hours! The concept is also quite novel, so good job!

TukTuk Delivery by MrBamboo 2023-05-10T08:16:36Z

So funny how our games look similar  Congrats on achieving such a polished result in 3 days!

The Box Baby by Revetoon 2023-05-17T12:09:08Z

Such a feat to deliver a fully scoped project like that under 72 hours! Congrats! (and teach me for the next one 🀣)

The Stork Purrsuit by FrancoisGoret 2023-05-03T12:57:57Z

Congrats on delivering 9 levels in such a timeframe! Mechanics are well thought, it was a bit confusing in the first version but the new update made everything much easier to grasp. Having the spawn point randomly being vertical or horizontal is a nice touch.
