I love playing as a responsible adult helping the younger generation out. The game was a fun ride and kicking the ball around was satisfying when there was a lot of kids standing up but I think it could use a lose condition to make it more engaging. I love how the teenagers push the kids around.

Feels like I am sixteen again and surfing Newgrounds. Was laughing the whole time!
Fun little game, i really enjoyed training. Nice animations and the core mechanics worked well. I repeatedly got stuck in the menu. Bit of a stretch on the theme, though. Still, a cool entry
Didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did xD So satisfying to kick kids and see their ragdolls flying around. Didn't understand how it related to the theme. Great job! :D
Had a lot of fun playing, one of my favorite games i've played from this jam so far! Love this concept and the the graphics look amazing. I was expecting the teens to kick me back.
Good stuff, it is a relaxing game indeed. I wouldn't mind if movement was a bit easier, seeing how the main character is an adult proficient in ice skating, whenever I'd kick the ball I was just happy that I managed to kick it rather than having some feeling of guiding it towards a goal. Some ability to rotate the camera to track the ball movement would be of help there.
The kids+teens stage had a glitch where it didn't end after everyone was out, but of course that is of no consequence, I ended up just skating around kicking the unconscious bodies for fun. The alternative camera is great, might be the DOS nostalgia but to me everything looks just prettier from that angle. I guess the most impressive aspect for me is that you did a good job simulating a populated ice skating hall.

@fnelix can you give a bit more detail about the stucking in menu issue? @shahinm it just like um.. harvesting the kids..... @kr4ft3r sorry for the bug and thanks for the advice, indeed camera is an issue and that's why I add the other camera so that we can track the ball from top down view but yea rotatable camera should properly better. sadly don't have enough time to assign on this part.

@eggshelldog I think this was after i went back to the menu by pressing H, the game still ran in the background but i was stuck in the menu and could not select anything. I just tried to reproduce that, but this time everything worked ok, so not sure what happened then.

sorry I laughed out :joy: that should explain how fun and humorous your game is :joy: Ragdoll flying is satisfying and stress relief. You can even directly kick on the kids XD. Let me go train teen now

I love the pixely effect also, that makes the game somehow feel more solid, no idea how to describe it better. I also like how you have a tutorial level you have to compelete first. I must say, finding out you can kick the kids without using the ball made me chuckle

This is my dream job now as well. Love the pixel filter on lowpoly model visual style. And the game is just uplifting and relaxing to fiddle with casually. 但兄啊，你这小孩儿的嗓音有点儿显老啊lol
i don't know how my karma will be after playing this game, but this was really hilarious! art is nice and sound is so funny!
the character was kinda easy to control, but i noticed that i had the reflex to use my mouse to move the camera, so maybe the controls would be even smoother with the possibility of pivoting camera with the mouse?

This was such a neat and funny little game. And the mobile controls were really nice too (I did play on mobile).
A few pain points: - The text on the menu on mobile was hard to read - On mobile I wish the camera wasn't locked to your movement, it made it difficult to control - Im not sure if it said this somewhere or was lost in the text but the fun went wayyy up when I realised I could kick kids myself :sweat_smile: - I had a few 'trained' ones go through the walls and out of the ring haha
Aside from those I can't say enough good things about this. The contra feel perfectly like Im just sliding around in the ice, there's so many small details that tie it together that you didn't have to do but are a perfect example of using your time wisely and polishing. I saw teens pushing kids, I saw kids skating side by side in pairs, it really tied everything together. The game plain looked really good and had a lot of variation among the kids/teens. Bravo for such a fun little tight experience.
I love this, so goofy, only thing is i don't see any connection to the theme, but that doesn't matter with the game this fun

I played the game on mobile as it was advertised, controls were a bit rough but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I'll give it another go on desktop later!

Thanks guys finally got 20 ratings! tbh I am a bit suprised for so many saying this is not related to the theme. I am not a native english speaker and here is my thinking process: harvesting as an action -> similar to ~~kicking~~ knocking down kids -> knocking down = kind of harvesting is this too far-fetched? :thinking: and sorry for the camera, I know it will be much better if we can rotate it but I don't have time for it :(

Just can't help but laugh so much at the absurdity of it, no matter how bad I feel! 😭 The calm music and the way the sounds cut off only make it funnier.
The only thing I didn't like very much were the controls; I know tank controls are easier to make than a normal third person camera, but I would've really liked to be able to strafe side to side at least to have a bit more control 😅 Not that it mattered too much after I realised I didn't even need the ball to knock people over and started just skating into everyone.
My screen went red a few times and I didn't understand why as there seemed to be no time limit or anything; what did that mean? 😮
Overall I liked it, and with a bit more polish I'd like it even more. Nice job!
