This game came out great. All the art ties together super well. Serious Broforce vibes It said escape was impossible. But it was possible. I did it ;)

This was really great! Super cute pixel art, and the unstable theme is really represented well. Great job!
I relly love the art. The gameplay reminds me of the commando games and broforce a lot. The theme was integrated well with your game and I really enjoyed the whole experience.
Great job my dude <3
wow thank you for your feedback :)
Cool little platformer witha cute artstyle, definitely enjoyed it! Would have loved to have the shoot button on something else other than X though, was a little uncomfortable to click.
@xinera thx - i will notice that. What would you prefer for the shoot key on the keyboard btw. ?
Neat platformer. I included it in my Ludum Dare 49 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/d0CZearFG8U
Thank you very much @jupiter-hadley :)
@neowhoru I think something like control or shift could work well since you don't use your pinky finger for anything, makes it so you can move and shoot at the same time! :D
Great Game! The pixel art looks really nice.
incredible work, I really liked it. The pixel art is great, but the best is the way to destroy the level, the effects and everything.
Pretty neat ! It's quite hard but really pleasant
look cool but webGL not working :(
@alan001 hmm i got it working on web with Firefox and chrome
Really cool concept, liked the art and the take on the theme. I liked that on top of the actual platforms being destroyed the actual in game systems were unstable. Was a little frustrating that the comets would spawn on top of me sometimes if I was up in the air and instantly kill me. Overall though I really enjoyed this, great entry!
Nice game with a good pacing, I liked the art and the music The controls feel very responsive
Good game, liked the art style a lot. Good concept, well done
Liked the art. I feel like the death on walls collision is a bit too punitive
This is challenging!! I like the pixel art (the background especially) and it's cool how shooting the environment breaks it apart. Could use more polish but for a 48 hour game this rocks!
Really cool. Simple but very polished art
Really liked the artwork and music. Mechanics are good too, but I do not understand what "Unstable gravity" is supposed to mean. Do I jump higher when that happens?
Controls are straightforward and the mechanics are fun! Love the retro wave art style
Awesome job, love how using your weapon too much could cause the level to erode too much if you aren't careful. Would love some different enemy types but overall great job!
GG!!
Great game! Mechanics feel good, terrain breaking makes the game difficult. Like somone said, I didn't understand what gravity unstable means. I guess it just means more asteroids. Nice job!
Amazing art and loved the sound design also! Controls are nice but I didn't understand what is supposed to happen when gravity becomes unstable... It felt normal to me. Overall it was a really nice game! Congratulations! :)
A fantastic arcade-feeling entry! Played this one quite a bit, I think its a clever implementation of the theme and very well built from graphics to audio.
Great game with lots of visual feedback!
@casa-ocho and @daniikk1012 About the gravity: yeah i had two world behaviors: less gravity and too much gravity.
However both of them broke the gameplay a bit too much so i first decided that there is just a small gravity loss. But you are right: it is soo small that you didnt feel.
The problem is: when gravity is too much and you cannot jump too high the level becomes a big part harder to finish.
Maybe in a future version - who knows :D
Destructable terrain right out of the gate is such a neat concept for a platformer o:
Really enjoyed the challenge the game offered, though the placement of enemies can feel a bit unfair at times :D Great work!
Oh, it was a frustrating experience, in a good way :)
I especially like the game concept and the art style.
Good job!
Hey, It's a nice platformer. Quite hard but I like the idea of ever changing levels. it frustrates me in a very particular and good way.
Awesome game! It made it into my first video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PK4L_VinlSY
This game is great! It's really interesting and has a really good game feel, coyote time and jump buffer would have been nice though.
@erkberg thx for playing and your tips - coyote time is a good idea.
Pretty good with a neat aesthetic - pixel art is always a good idea. It reminds me Broforce. Controls work well as expected. Maybe too hard for me, but I am not skilled with platformer games. It's hard to play developing some strategy, but I had fun playing for a while. Music is a little bit too repetitive - epic. Really well done. A solid entry ++
Really great game. Love the visuals, and game feel. I also got some strong BroForce vibes from this as it felt so good destroying the world with your bullets. Finished it and it was lovely thanks :)
thank you :)
I really like the feedback the player gets and the actual map destruction
Beautiful game, I found it a bit hard though. I was often shooting the ground and falling into lava.
The sound and graphics go perfectly well, nice arcade here, reminded me of Bobby's going home from Atari 2600. I couldn't feel a difference when the gravity was unstable, I would enjoy to see it reflected on floating enemies on floaty jumps.
A very enjoyable game. The bright and luscious graphics are very well done. Very nice pixel effects. But it seems to me that it is worth working out the randomness of the fall of meteorites. Often they destroy all opportunities to advance further in the level. I liked shooting here. I could add at least 3 lives to the character.
You say "controller is untested", I say "COME HERE CONTROLLER!" Controller support confirmed as working, I used my trusty ol' Xbox 360 controller and it worked great! Left Stick is move, Y is jump, B is shoot. Probably going to play this again a little later and see how my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller feels with it, using a Nintendo controller would really complete the mood.
You made a fully destroyable world. In 48 hours. And had time to polish it. How did you do this, this is no average Compo entry! The fact that you added recoil to the gun is amazing, you really thought of everything.
Very nice theme usage and very wonderful pixel art. It's realy impressive for a 48h COMPO. Congrats!
@peace-of-cake-games haha thank you for testing out and for your warm words 😁
Cool game! The platforming and controls were solid although I did have moments where I was standing on one tile and couldn't jump. The mechanic was interesting but I felt it was way "too random". There were moments in the beginning of the level where the whole level would be lost just because it got hit by the lava so it was frustrating not even getting a chance to start progressing. I did overall enjoy the chaos and randomness of it, it felt good finally getting through a level. Solid entry!
I had a hard time knowing if I'd spawn lava or not when shooting stuff. But I had a good time playing, well done!
Cool game! I like the visuals a lot. Render system unstable was a nice touch, it would have been cool if it had some more gameplay significance. Falling lava sometimes caused me to get stuck, but I think it's mostly fair since it generally just means I want to keep moving before too much lava has fallen.
Some really minor notes: - Your itch.io page has both the itch fullscreen button and unity fullscreen buttons. Also the unity fullscreen button doesn't seem to work for me. I recommend making the itch.io player box a bit taller and removing the itch io fullscreen button. - It isn't clear what button to press to start the game. mouse, enter, and random keys didn't work, but spacebar worked. - X is awkward when using A/D to move. The most natural for me would be Arrows + ZX or WASD + something like KL. - The web player got stuck on loading for me in chrome, but worked on Microsoft Edge. No idea why. - I don't know what unstable gravity does. I think it let me jump higher.
Wow, amazing game. Nicely done <3
Pretty cool game. The random lava spawns sometimes make the levels unbeatable. Was fun to destroy everything, well done!
Bit hard to beat levels while only 1 hitpoint and lava positions are not revealed to player, but still interesting game. Sounds are bit loud too. Controls are in weird positions (space-x is not good combination) and fire rate is way too fast while want to not miss any shots. Still "drilling" the ground with bullets and not to shoot too much is fun concept. I would prefer the mouse-aiming or joystick, while sometimes there is a need to shoot below of the character.
I expected doing much more drilling, but most of the floors were lava
@almost yeah the gravity thing was an idea which didnt worked as the level would much harder. I should make it zero gravity in the next version where you fly or something (also the enemies should also fly lol).
Thanks for your feedback :)
@solah yeah i thought about to change this in the next version to an trigger with fix lava to have a more linear move and a better chance to beat the level.
@hiisileiri yeah i guess in the next version it will be more a joystick friendly.
Hardcore little game you made =0 Simple but nice graphics. Only bullets look different I dropped after 15 minutes on third level. The game feels like learn-your-path, but random meteorites breaks this rules and makes the game quite difficult for me I would like the camera follow character faster, when falling down - i died a lot coz i don`t see, where i`m falling Also, as i noticed, zombies are meteor ressistent =)
@trizalio thx for your feedback :D yeah i am working on improving a bunch of stuff (camera has now in the new version a better field of view for example :). So i will collect your feedback too and bring it in :)
Excellent game!! I really liked the idea and the art is just great, the characters, the palette, the animations. I found it quite difficult but it is a matter of practice xD great job!
I really enjoyed playing this game! It is HARD, but in a frustratingly good way!
