Very impressive that you were able to make a 3d game with some awesome models in one weekend. I wanted some more game elements here like some sort of a health, or a timer to see how many crops I could harvest. It might have also been nice to give the player some way to gather water/fertilizer to make the crops grow faster. Ohh, or maybe a store where I could go buy upgrades with the money I earned from the crops. These are just ideas if you wanted to keep working on it. But this is a really great start and impressive for 1 weekend. Congrats!!

I like the idea of the multipurpose gun. I think i got an audio bug with the same sound effect looping (i think it's the sound of the ant bashing plants). The harvester idea is nice but a bit tedious when you have a lot to harvest.

Nice shooter/farmer mix! Having bullets of a full auto gun cost money makes it quite an uphill battle :D
Haha, I hate these bugs, trying to shoot them from as much distance possible. 😄 UI work + feedback (highlights, bounces, etc. when something happens) would be nice additions. Also, didn't really felt the pressure, maybe difficulty / speed could be increased? Also like the multipurpose gun, one tool to plant, kill bugs and harvest is great!
Was pretty fun, just needs more of a challenge! Spraying the seed gun all over was satisfying, and the harvester did a good job of keeping track of all the trees I right-clicked. Bugs were nice too, They totally need a simple rigid-body ragdoll effect. Nice job:)

Good job, I really like that you made the gun serve to 2 purposes, good idea :)

Retro WIBEZ!
Wished there was a way to tag the plants for harvesting instead of one at a time. Had fun tho :D

@pushmepullyu apologies there is no UI elements for harvesting but every tree right clicked or moused over with right mouse button down is placed on the harvesting queue, so you can machine gun harvest.

Interesting Idea! Mice first thougt are: - Nice work on the bugs model. - It lacks some music, I personnaly use Busca Ceoil wich is free, small and user-friendly (kinda) - Adding sounds to the bugs could make them easier to spot in advance, currently players only randomly spot one while moving but kinda move helplessly. - difficulty is well ballanced as it is. - Adding round with objectives to reach and upgrade on the guns will make it a even more fun. Good take for a compo ! Well done!

I had to play this just for the elegance of the title, and because you’re one of the only other people I’ve seen do something 3D for the compo  It’s fun—I like the harvesting mechanic, though as a few other people mentioned it might have been helpful to have a way of knowing you’d successfully tagged something for harvesting. Nice work.

The core mechanics are fun! I wish there a few more systems in place like upgrades or a shop but I imagine you had your hands full with making a 3D game for a compo. I also experienced a bug where I couldn't rotate my character by moving the mouse past a certain point. But the models are cute and those bugs falling from the sky only to zoom to your crops at mach-1 speed are certainly a sight to see haha. Nice job!
Interesting premise for a game but it was pretty enjoyable. I had an issue where the camera would consistently veer to the right. I liked the sound effects but wish there was some background music. Overall a fun experience.
Left the game running in the background as it has no pause and my flatmate asked for help with some chore, when I came back my crops had disappeared completely. Instead a big crowd of locusts remained, and it was really fun watching them bump and climb over each other as they raced to eat the new crops. Besides, you can do backflips with the camera XD 10/10 would breed locusts again

Game with potential! Congrats on making a working game in such a short time!
I like: - The way the ants viscously attack plants until they are completely gone - Gameplay is overall engaging - The game idea has lots of potential (lots of room for expansion to full game)
Wishes/Critiques:
Note: Obviously this being a jam game, I don't expect any of these, just feedback. - It were more obvious where ants were coming from or when they were coming / some easier time viewing the whole map - The ant sound didn't loop in the menu - More feedback for literally every action (harvesting, which plants are queued for harvesting, killing ants, etc.) - New ant sound :smiling_imp: - Some of the ground tiles in the middle of the map are too light to tell how far apart they are - Music/more Sfx (would add much to the game feel overall) - A reason to continue playing (highscore system? (Unity has a very easy and quick way to add this using PlayerPrefs)) - New weapons (wave system maybe?)
Anyways, I hope I'm not being overly critical, after all, it was made in 48 hours or less, but thanks for the game!
The audio was repeating on the menu for me :( but I like the concept. There was only one ant for me? maybe they spawned somewhere and couldn't get to me.
Very interesting game, kill bugs with a seed pressure gun.. die for what feeds you, very good! I only missed one song and an exit option. I didn't understand the winning situation, but I realized that where we've already harvested, it's getting a weak soil tone. Congratulations for the game!

Nice game, I like how you mixed the theme with a FPS.
The game just needs more feedbacks: when you hit enemies, when your crops grow, when there are ants nearby etc.
And more instructions such as how much cash you need to make and that there are very distinct tiles to plant on and otherwise you will just waste money.
Very nice mix of genres.
At some moment the ants were eating my plants, but I couldn't see them, like they were under the ground.
Well done getting this done in a weekend! Like other people mentioned it would be nice to get more feedback when you do things, like calling the harvester, and to see how much you need to earn to win.
Oh! great farm! I really loved the sprites, and game feel. 5/5
