Fun little game, liked the feedback of the screen shake after shooting
Really liked the pixel art and the vegetables chasing me
Cool game! Tense exploration with a neat puzzle-like mechanic, very fun to play :D
First I was a little confused because I didn't realize you have to walk through the gate. But then I got the hang of it and had fun. Nice game.
Cool game! I didn't notice the door in the fence at first, took me a while to get out. 😄 Well done!
Super satisfying when you get a whole bunch at once, great game feel too. great audio, big fan of this entry!
Interesting idea, was cool to shoot and do the trade off when missing or in some cases hitting the crops causing them to regrow as something different. Died with 600lb of vegetables. I also missed the fence at the start. Your video helped on that :D
Cool graphics and the idea to grow & sow
This is one of the better looking games in the jam, very strong colour scheme. Don't know what kind of lupara grows plants, but this seem to do so, it is all that matters
I had a lot of fun playing that game, and I thought that the controls were unique! I loved puzzling how to get the most food with one shot. It was great! xD I did have a small issue where sometimes the up key didn't work? Not sure if it's the keyboard or what... I'll try it on a different computer and let you know. :3 I will be playing more to get a bigger score.

Oh my! It took me a while to figure out the gate is actually something you can walk through! Nice little game! I love the art and the sound effects
This game is a lot of fun! It did take me a minute to figure out the gate and controls too, but once I did I really enjoyed the sort of action puzzle component, and trying to avoid the locusts. I feel like I could sink a lot of time into this game. And overall really loved the aesthetics - the sound and art are both really appealing. Great work!
Took me way too long to realize i could leave the starting area through the gate.
Very good looking game - like the color palette, pixel art and overall style and feedback from the game. Sounds also was fitting)
I had a bit of a misunderstanding about the mechanics in my first run through, even though you had this very nice tutorial area where I could just play around. For some reason I used only right click to grow the crops, without every picking any up. This is probably just my fault though XD The second playthrough I got it and was able to reach the end without trouble with 900 lbs of food :D I agree with others that the fence gates did not feel like you could walk through them, but that was easily figured out after a bit of experimenting.
The gameplay was great and a lot of fun! Having to judge whether to stay a bit longer in a crop field to get points or whether to just run was an interesting struggle each time. The chests with upgrades were also nice to chance things up a little bit. The art was really lovely and the gamefeel amazingly juicy ^^ Great job!
Lots of fun! Managed to get 2422lbs, was fun to spam the reap and sow shots since they have independent cooldowns to get through all the trees :D Nicely done!
Really liked the pixel art and gameplay. It was lots of fun!
Nice concept, visuals are nice, and the sound effects really make it satisfying to collect lots of plants with the same shot
The only thing that bothered me is that i found the fence sprite a bit confusing, i spent like 3 minutes wondering where i should go at the start because it looked like it was closed
Very nice visuals and sound effects! The game mechanic was really interesting as well. Good job!
Fantastic, visuals, colour scheme and sound effects! I was a bit confused about the fence at the start, couldn't find a way to get past it.
Congraaatz of such a cool project as a COMPO submission. I wasn't great at it :D but i liked the idea for the game and general vibe. Great job and see ya on the next one!
Interesting growing/harvesting mechanics you got here, I like it. I was kinda lost where to go, as it wasn't very clear I could move through the fence gates and it took me a bit to figure that one out. Are the locust supposed to move? They stayed relatively still on the bottom of the screen no matter where I was going for them most of the game and only speed up once I was almost at the end.
Nice take on the theme. I liked the upgrade chests, nice with a bonus now and then.
Ok, this was really cool! Made out with ~700 years worth of vegetables. So far one of my favorite entries.
Along with those who came before me, I struggled to notice the gate in the starter area. It was a non-issue once I trained myself to look for it.
Simple but effective visuals. The mature vegetables really have that eye-drawing golden look that made it satisfying to harvest them. The sounds were very effective and felt good and impactful. I was a little lost with the gates and where to go, but that's the nature of an exploration game, I suppose. Tense.
Fun little game with pretty sprites. Animations / FX could be done better (for example explosion from shooting almost completely overlap with the player sprite), it's too hard to find gates (they look like fence) and there're too many trolling empty spaces that you can't pass (like where 2 fences nearby, but you can't fit between them). Also animation of collecting yellow stuff is pretty weird.
I also was looking forwards to a fast paced action game too. I love how we both came to the conclusion that a shotgun can grow crops. I like the game feel in this, the shotgun has a nice sound effect with a heavy dose of screen shake. Makes it really fun to shoot, which is perfect as the swarm finally starts to nip at your heels, making for sure a fast base harvesting game!
Great visual style. Nice controls. It was a little confusing at first but you get used quickly. The interaction between harvest and grow the crops is interesting.
I like visuals and the gameplay. I would be nice to make gates in the fence more noticeable, because in my first time I didn't figured that I can go through them
What a fun game! Although, I sucked at it, I had a big smile all the way! I like the audio feedback. It really makes the game feel so good! I was acctually a bit pannicked when I was trapped in a corner when the swarm came. That is called immersion, and I think your game does that very well.
I had a bit trouble understanding that the little door in the fence at the starting position meant that you could walk through. But because you made that a safe place, the player has enough time to figure that out.
Well done
I got 978lb's of crops, I'll be eating for MANY YEARS AHEAD!
I am embarassed to say it took my third try to appreciate that I needed to get the crops in a good state with right click, then left click to harvest. I did read the sign, but felt like I was getting points for just spamming right click (like a fool!). It is an interesting balance - especially with the distribution of growth progress, means its challenging to get all crops to optimal growth state! Had fun! The swarm was scary :( I liked the death screen!
Very fun, polished and satisfying. Only issue I had were some of the vegetables would orbit me for very long until they finally scored.
Dang I thought I did pretty good with 1174 then see someone with 2.4k xD I like on your itch page you say you wanted to make fast paced game but thats not something you associate with "Harvest", I tried doing the same! hehe
Even in the short play time, through multiple plays I kept noticing different ways to go and I thought that was really well done. Even on the verge of getting swarmed, you are encouraged to explore and I think the chests were always well worth the trouble of getting. Especially those gun upgrades >:D
