I Demand Blood! by Yirggzmb 2018-12-03T08:03:26Z
Having a hard time catching those pesky toddlers on my laptops touchpad. Very funny sound effects.

Great use of the kanban board :)
@jihem @barrier @paulhocker @boyzandgirlz @jakobthequizguy thanks for the feedback :) @yyz thanks for the SUPER detailed feedback :)
You need to set your game to public on itch.io
Really like this game but interacting with the items is difficult. I don't know where to click exactly and the mouse sometimes resets (at least in the web version)
Love that wonky physics gameplay :D
nice game, enjoyed the speedup when entering a large ring
wow I really love the programming concept for the robot, but it gets really hard really fast.
For people wondering how to start the game, here is the guide for windows: * Download blubberquark_ld47_loopy_windows.zip from here: https://blubberquark.itch.io/loopy * Unpack the zip * doubleclick on launch.bat
really like the concept but this is so hard! I wasn't able to finish one lap :(
@thooom thank you :) great feedback with the camera centering, when I'm deep into developing my game I stop noticing these things
Thanks for the great feedback y‘all. Really didn’t expect people being excited about my game 😅
hilarious voice announcements  but I was never able to clear a room
I don't know, felt pretty confident with the controls, but there always spawned more candy than I was able to clean up.
I kinda felt sorry for the aliens.
I think I managed to make some people believe in aliens ^^ 2020-10-05 09_24_57-Window.png
@rgilpt you get feedback karma when someone "likes" your comment on their game
took me a while to understand how to place traps, i think gamefeel would improve when you give more traps in the beginning, i never managed to get past score 3
Really enjoyed your game, especially the music and level design
dig the art style and music but I'm unable to get past the first screen, probably I'm missing some key to interact with the game. could please post the controls for your game?
Windows build crashes for me too. Starting from source works.
would be great as a local multiplayer game
I think I saved Oceanos? Is there some sort of win screen?
very impressive for first game jam, especially the groovy background music and cute hula hooping duck
DAY 100: The PUMPKINS are growing faster than I can click them. White hot PAIN flashes through my finger joints everytime I harvest another one. I CAN NOT STOP. THE PUMPKIN PATCH MUST GROW.
Thank's to the Reaper upgrade my hand finally got some rest... Really like your game, It's simple yet addictive. In the beginning I often forget to plant after tilling, maybe a better visual marker for unplanted, tilled soil would be a good addition to your game.
Oh no that ending screen is scary.
Wow I love the gameplay! Felt quite tense sometimes with the harvesters grabbing my ammunition right before I could pick it up to fight a rat. While I like the art I won't give you any rating for it as AI isn't supposed to be submitted for the Compo category: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52
Screenshot 2023-01-09 072002.png
Great UI work, how did you create the sound effects?
@bosco you should be able to get it from here: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/thank-you/runtime-desktop-6.0.12-windows-x64-installer?cid=getdotnetcore
Great job with the pixel art and sound effects. The game is fun but get's hectic really fast. I didn't manage to beat it. Maybe some pickup to replenish health would be a good addition.
Played until the end and loved the vibe of this game especially the sound effects. The screen transitions felt a bit janky and sometimes the items interacted with the plant when I already switched to the item select screen. Maybe interactions could be locked while doing the transition?
The web build seems to be broken :( Screenshot from 2023-01-08 22-08-35.png
Impressed by all the UI work you managed to do in so little time! The head bobbing of the farmer is cute :D I think there might be bug with picking up hay stacks, sometimes they don't end up in my inventory.
You can crash the game after the first interaction by pressing space several times.
Very impressive. Smooth gameplay, nice graphics and a pleasant soundtrack!
Love the soundtrack. I don't seem to get far into the game though, the enemy is always outproducing me.
Damn just saw that you submitted as a Jam game... My bad :see_no_evil: ~~Did you use AI Art for the upgrade images?~~
Really liked the pixel art and the vegetables chasing me
This game is so cute! I love the minimalist graphics. Screenshot from 2023-01-08 22-22-55.png
I love making numbers go up
I enjoyed your game but the last 10 potatoes were quite stressful to grow :D I had one potato with the blinking animation but "press E to harvest" wouldn't show. I think a bigger hitbox for harvesting would improve gameplay.
I love Galcon and I love your take on it! Especially the nice pixel graphics. I found even the easy AI to be quite challenging, definitively kept my on my toes. One minor nitpick: not everyone knows what a `.7z` file is, maybe upload a `.zip` too? The continue button on the Victory is also not functional (I wouldnt know what it should do after defeating all enemies)
Wow this is intense and challenging, the movement feels quite smooth already, great job! Makes me want to play Mirrors Edge again. ~~It would be nice if the character would slide when they crouch during sprinting.~~ Oh it looks like there is sliding in the game, for some reason it doesnt feel "slidey" enough for me ^^
This is interesting, would love to see the gameplay fleshed out a bit more and run around a dungeon destroying everthing with my horde. Good job on the background ambiance, graphics and sounds.
I think you forgot to include the link to your game
NVM I'm dumb, there's a play button at the top of the page :face_palm:
Very interesting concept! It took me a while to figure out the controls and mechanics. I like the puzzle aspect of building your own spells to solve the levels. I miss an easy way to undo my mistakes or restart a level though. The soundtrack is nice.
Great art and sound effects, the gameplay is very enjoyable but it gets quite repetitive after a while.
Great job all around! My kids love it, especially the sounds
I just realized this game is perfect for cooperative multiplayer, will test with my family this afternoon.
The drag and dropping doesnt work for me in firefox :( . But it runs in great in chrome! Really like the art style and fluid controls. Maybe it's my postjam brain but it feels a little bit to fast in the beginning. With the side by side maps, I would like it if the turrets could should across sides.
@literally-void well whatever you did the controls now work fine on firefox ;)
Very funny game, I love getting insulted for wrong math  Had trouble understanding the mechanics at first because I misread the ~n digits per second as - (minus) n digits per second.
Very impressive, I like how much interesting gameplay you achieve with so minimalistic and tight controls. And you also have great sounds, graphics and music :scream_cat: The procedural combination of gun types is amazing.
Here's my ball'o'death protecting the great witch:
Screenshot from 2024-04-15 22-40-19.png
I found a minor issue though, I accidentally threw a fruit out of bounds and was unable to reach it anymore. I would also like to have some indicator of upgrade status and food level for my summons.
To be honest losing my S-Rank mage I had from the very beginning nearly made me want to ragequit!! RIP Ayin your DPS will be dearly missed.
Screenshot from 2024-04-17 10-09-03.png
I also didn't notice I was able to rebuild the smithy until I was very far into the game.
But yeah it's a very impressive entry to the Jam. Everything from graphics, sounds to gameplay is excellent. Would love to play Football Manager for Diablo Heroes in the future.
The thing I missed most was proper control over squad and dungeon assignments for my heroes. Also a button to abort a run would've been crucial for me to save Ayin.
@pupirka Thank you for your nice feedback! Did you use the spellbook button on the top right? I'd like the players to remember the spells and don't show them all the time.
@dasilvacontin Thank you for your detailed feedback! I think on mobile it's just easier to paint accurately, on PC I usually follow the angles in the octagram the get the correct glyphs.
Ah I honestly was hoping for comments like this in regards to balancing. I kinda wanted to have this learning curve where you become a ultra powerfull spell painter. I wonder how long you could sustain this in the endless mode ;) In later waves some enemies will have the blue speed shield which significantly reduces the slow down. But yeah more variety and strategic depth would be nice.
@worldofmush Thank you for your nice feedback! There's a button on the top left corner which will show you all the spells by the way ;)
@lectvs Thanks for the feedback and your service for democracy *🫡*
@eloraju Thank you! [Here's one more spell for you](https://helldivers.fandom.com/wiki/Eagle_500kg_Bomb) (EASTER EGG SPOILER)
- The push spell removes the green shields. It doesn't do "damage" (Blue shields are very resistant to push) - Yep the charging and aiming is a bit off, didn't have the brains to build a nice solution that works for all spells - That's funny! Happened to my wife too. Just remember your ABC -> ALWAYS BE CASTING
@eloraju OMG thank you for the finnish translation  Just went to your beautiful country once for kayaking, but I'll be back!
@mikropiru Yeah, I've gotten quite used to it during the weekend, but I get that it is hard for new players. Maybe I'll do a post-jam version with keyboard input or some sort of guided glyph drawing for PC. Glad you were able to enjoy it on your phone!
Wow this is interesting! On level 6 I got a really tug of war going. Can't beat level 7 :(. I would like to change the position of my towers to try more strategies, clicking on a portal to change its type would also be great.
Finally a typing game where I don't immediately break my fingers! Love the groovy music and the funny words.
Banger soundtrack! Took me a bit to get good enough to survive until I find the right demon.
This is a great language learning game. I have shown it to my kids and they will only get dinner if they can present me a perfect score.
Maybe it's my fried brain from 48h of gamedev but it gets quite stressful quite fast for me. Love the tactical aspect of assigning the right spells to the correct lanes. Unfortunately I'm often of mana when I have enough spells to create good combos. Maybe refill mana on level up? In my third or fourth playthrough it stopped offering my new spells, I think that's a bug.
Impressive amount of content with a lot of nice pixel art and animations, good job!
Managed to get to the nice frog. Love the soundtrack and sound effects! Fighting was sometimes difficult for me, would've appreciated some kind of attack animation or SFX.
Ah for the first levels I though I was controlling Wrathmus and got super confused. Love the voice acting!
Nice tactical card game, enjoyed the strategical gameplay and the cool soundtrack.
Very cool game! Love the artstyle and the typing sounds. Is there an end to it, or is it normal to get overwhelmed eventually?
I think its a shame that the bubbles are off by default. Nice polished game with cool sound effects! Dragging and dropping with mouse is sometimes a bit inaccurate.
Funny game! Love the bouncy ingredients. For some reason it doesnt recognize the correct ingredients when they lie on the bottom of the glass, only when they fly above it?
Great game, love to see another take on the draw your spells input method. But you have much better graphics than me ^^ Unfortunately it's very hard on touchpad because my laptop disables the keyboard when using it and then I can't dodge enemies when drawing a spell.
Took me a bit to figure out that I need to click the pot. Maybe add a description to your itch and ludum dare page? Are there any other interactive elements in the game? Would love to buy more potate plots or upgrades. It was nice watching my army of helpers handle all the potato gathering.
Screenshot from 2024-04-15 07-27-10.png
Once a helper got stuck in the floor though: Screenshot from 2024-04-15 07-23-28.png
Wow I can't wait to show your lovely art to my kids! It took me a bit to realize I need to stand in the circles to summon an animal, after I learned that the difficulty plummeted by quite a bit. It would be great if I could sell my animals or combine them to mutate them to stronger forms.
My biggest gripe with your game is that its too zoomed in, I would like to better view my surroundings.
I think sometimes a completed progress bar gets stuck and doesnt visually update anymore. The circle then still spawns new animals but there's just a completed progress bar on top of it.
So this is your very first game? You did a great job!
Nice incremental game, love watching my slimes do all the work for me. I feel like it could be a little faster, gathering 1k resources takes quite a while, also maybe workers could seek out work for themselves? Ordering them to a patch feels a bit fiddly.
