Cool!
Any chance of a Mac or Web build? I would love to give the game a try, but only have a Mac at my disposal
For only 4 hours this is impressive! There is no health indicator, but seeing that I die at different intervals without too much touching of a bug, there must be something about.
@endurion Because of the limited time I just put in a quick fix so that the bugs can't kill you in the first second, in case they spawn on top of the player. Not optimal, but at least one should be able to finish the game this way.
@tolmera I am hoping to find a way to build a WebGL build, but I accidentally made it in Unity 2018.3.11f1 and am having some troubles finding a WebGL module for older versions :/
nice take on stuck in a loop, took me a bit to solve the riddle
I like the graphics and the feel of the game. It's an interesting task to strategically kill bugs in right spots to reveal more of the code.
Cool little game. Damn bugs got me killed time and time again.. Not sure if it's just me, but the aim might be a bit off compared to cursor position?
@coderaurus Yes, the projectiles collide with the player object upon instantiation, unfortunately. Which makes it shift a little bit, both the projectile and the player. Didn't have time to fix it. All my focus was on the code part and the style quite frankly :)
This is overall a simple and fun little game. It needs some music, and the sound effects is a bit quiet. I like the visuals and the game was fun to play. So well done.
Simple, but well done. I like the hand-drawn style. I like that the bug splat uncovering too. I wanted to see it all.
Lol, I get it! I like the idea a lot! And it was fun to play. The art is fun too. I liked "checking out your code"!
This idea was really neat. It's like those Newgrounds *reveal* games but actually a really interesting way to use that mechanic that isn't just hiding an anime girl behind some puzzles.
I also love the three frame animation. That art style never gets old.
The actual mechanic of revealing the win condition was pretty neat. Feel like you could make a pretty compelling action/puzzle game off of that.
Cheers @matthewrobo This was my first time experimenting with three frame animations. To be honest this is the first time I hear the term "three frame animation" but that is exactly what I did - except the bug counter - that was 4.
A very cute game monitors how coders fixes bugs! So surprised to see you express that in this way!
@nickykendy It's my best interpretation of the satisfaction of fixing a bug :D
I like the style, the invisible ink thing is brilliant and very well done. Great game, keep it up!
Amazing art style and you have incorporated it so well into the gameplay by revealing the code in the background. The changing frames of the art made the game feel really alive! I enjoyed playing it but found the end a little unexpected however. Great job, I liked the code aspect!
Its quite good game, thanks for the game, dont forget rate our game too
Fun game with a nice twist on the "loop".
I love the concept and I think it could even be stretched out into a puzzle game. The audio is hilarious and the art really works. Very impressive for 4 hours of work.
Nice art and sfx are great! The damn bugs are everywhere! :D
Most things were said already! I loved the animation work you did and I feel it really enhanced the whole experience. Also, yeah, the hidden hint was great (but also wasn't all that hidden - I immediately found it)
Hehe cheers @trexxak ! The animation was fun to make, although a bit tedious :P And about the secrets, I just wanted to make sure people found it :) It's a prototype after all :)
