LD43.PNG very happy with my game. And I am also happy with your game. This game is simple but very addictive to try and balance everything. My favorite part is the music. It just makes me feel happy inside.

Realy Great Little Game. i made A Microtransaktion Filled Battle Royal Game xD
Nice twist and implementation of the theme.
Hay this looks a lot like my Trello... Overall a fun game that gave me a few chuckles; it's simple yet refined. Good work :D
Also what evil person adds microtransactions to a game jam xD
Very very very nice game! For me it perfectly captures the feel during a game jam. The feeling of trying to cram as much stuff as you can into your game while still struggling with rest, and the deadline. And the art and sound effects, along with music hold up this game up nicely.
Fantastic job!
"Cmooooooooon, you can do itttttt"

Nice! It really sells how you should think about these things =)
Haha, got the Ludum Dare idea as well when I was brainstorming, glad it got made :) Good fun little game, love the rating at the end. Apparently I'm not a great game designer, my game kinda sucked... :D
One of the best ones I've played so far. Fun, innovative and cheerful! Great job.
So funny ! I liked the idea a lot, gameplay is addicting . I wish it would be that easy in real life
My Scores:

Great use of the kanban board :)
Great concept and execution. Graphics and UI layout were perfect and didn't require any tutorial really. It was a little too easy to pick tasks to do vs sacrifice though. But it's a realistic lesson that a lot of devs need!
nice game concept. i like graphics and music. it's funny e.g. "make it battle royale" (sorry for my bad english)
my score:

Oh! I made a five stars in overall, fun and humor! What a dream!
My game was mega awesome, just like IRL, good simulation! :)
There's no real gameplay to speak of but it's a fun little meta humor-filled game. The systems are simple and reactive with little bleeps and bloops to accompany it all. Good stuff!
Nice one! If only I was as productive as this guy.
Woot! I'm glad I drank all that coffee! game.png
Did some of the other stuff do anything? I went for a run, took a shower, made and ate food and some other stuff. It seems like all that did was eat into my time. I think I was supposed to sacrifice them, but oh well.
Nice idea and implementation. The bg music gets repetitive, but is soft enough that it works and I think that it is better than silence. I liked the sound fx for completion of a task too.
Got a higher rating than my actual game, once again proving that video games are better than real life
reminded me of when i was exporting earlier today, barely made it lol
Oh I'm exhausted, haha!
I love it! You found a really relatable topic for all of us and cleverly incorporated it into the theme. Graphics could've been just a tiny bit better, but I realize that wasn't essential to the gameplay itself. I liked the little background music and sound effects, they were kinda cute. Really nice job!
dude what have you been doing, spying on me?! how did you know this was what i was doing this whole weekend?
second.png
It's my second try, the first was better. Nice game, but I don't know how is the exhaust working.

After seeing some of your scores, I think that maybe my game was too easy. Or maybe your are just very talented :-)
Especially @minibobbo : you managed to get a perfect score on your game, prepare food, go for a run AND take a shower? Man, I wish I was that efficient during the real jam...
I was already familiar with Unity and programming, but it was my very first experience making pixel art and composing music and SFX during the jam. I usually go with some free stuff I find on the Internet.
For those of you who find the music annoying or repetitive : did you know you can click on the little radio ? radio.jpg
@marc-grabow : I was sure I wouldn't be the only one to have that idea! Maybe there's even another similar game that has actually been submitted!
@ragnta : the HP gauge just goes down with working time. If you have more than 60% of your HPMax, you are okay and can work efficiently, if you have between 30% and 60%, you are tired and work slower, if you have less than 30%, you are exhausted and work even slower (also more useless tasks begin to appear in your todolist). You can't die of exhaustion even if you reach 0HP.
Sleeping refills HP with time, the more consecutive sleep you get, the fastest you gain HP.
Coffee overrides tiredness. When you drink coffee, you get extra motivated for like 2 hours, but you lose a bit of HP. While you are in "MOTIVATED" state, your HP gauge is hidden.
It's a bit heavy but I hope I was clear :-)
Man, I could feel the intense game jam submission pressure all over again at the end! Thanks, this was really funny.
reminded me of game dev tycoon
This hit a little too close to home for me too, played so close after the jam! Got my itch page done just on time though phew! :D Great sense of humour too, well done!
So yeah, I feel like this guy unreasonably underestimates coffee. To work just as much this weekend I needed faaaaaaaaaar more than this. The game itself is indeed one of the most funnest to play from those I've seen yet. Great job!
Loved the "make a game engine" task :D
The time could have ran a little faster, especially when sleeping. Other than that I really have no complaints, great work!
Very fun! You really captured the spirit of the game jam ! I love those kind of game and yours is really well polished! great job !
Adorable game with a fun theme. It has a lot of potential if you were to keep working on it. I never felt like I had to sacrifice anything though, in fact I managed to do every task I would've liked to have done except I didn't have time for 1 (background music). It would be nice to be able to re-order the todo list and see how much time tasks will take while they're in the todo list. And if you continue working on this, I'd like to see some character building, so that coding tasks are quicker or slower depending on the number of skill points you have in coding. You could even have your character gain skill points as they do multiple game jams.
very fun, play this game makes me remember all hours that i spend in my game dis LD, congrats!
Trop cool ! c'est un peu ça dans la vraie vie aussi, on peut pas être plus dans le thème :) J'ai bien aimé la musique aussi. Bien ouej en tout cas :)
@rk3omega : You mentioned some of the ideas I has when making the game, but I didn't have time to implement them (reordering, seing time of tasks in the doing list, and skill points). I even coded skill bonuses for each tasks and was thinking of adding a tab to spend skill points at the start of the game. Gaining skill points when making more jams is a good idea as well. I'll think about it ;-)
@linheha : Merci, c'est la première fois que je fais de la musique en jam, je suis content du résultat :-)
3 tries to get all 5*, why isn't real life so simple? :D Great simulator. :)
Great game! :D And yeah, true story, true story. Got quite a nice game out of it and even some sleep... :P As said before there could probably be some cool features added, but really: I like it as "simple" as it is. It's quick to play and very comprehensible.
enjoyed this lots, everything about it! ☕
Great relatable game! love the pixel graphics.
Capture.PNG
Funny how I ended up with a rating that'll be much higher than for my own game.
This was pretty fun, I like the Trello/Kanban board style user interface, the time management works will and I like how your game dev moves in time with the music. Great work!
Great take on the theme! Very cool. Managed to get 5 stars in everything except a 4.5 in Mood.
Hopefully my actual entry can get something close to that as well :D
Wow this was so fun! I always imagined how a game about doing the ludum dare would be and this is such a great approach. The design is very clever, and the balance between caffeine and sleep is just genius. Great job!
Cool idea, fun to play. I did decent I think

This was awesome!!! My ratings were too good at the end, but I really really enjoyed it. It completely captures what it's like, especially in the final minutes. Very very good job, top marks!
This was a nice entry! The UI was fairly polished and I appreciated the number of options that we had in the to-do area. The graphics and music worked nicely in it! This is an interesting game just because I don't really know for sure how all of my choices end up affecting things. It would be interesting to know if there are specific choices you can make that will lead to perfect games.
Overall this was a solid entry!
Thank you all for your kind comments!
@quackqack Me too, I hope that my actual entry will get such good ratings ;-)
@kantieno About the ratings in-game, let me explain a bit how they work: Each feature has a specific type (game design, code, art, sound, and useless). For each category, I count the features of one or more types in the "Done" list and end up with a score between 0.5 and 5 stars. For instance, "Mood" is computed with "Art + Sound" features.
**
** A kind of winning strategy would be to choose only tasks that are short to make. **
**
The ratings are not linear, it's easier to go from 1 star to 2 than to go from 4 stars to 5.
In the end, I wanted the ratings to be satisfying, that's why they are usually quite good. Though, I think the perfect score should be harder to get...
@pantoufle Thanks for the in depth explanation! I appreciate that features can have the type "useless"!
Got all 5 except a 4 in mood, and another with 4.5 in theme! Not sure what kind of game I made, but felt good to finish! I like how you could refill the pot of coffee. I wondered if there were any other activities that gave you bonuses for taking a break, but there doesn't seem to be. Perhaps sleep itself could have been a task that you could do to get energy back, instead of selecting it. I liked there were random game making tasks in there. I'm thinking of tasks like "brainstorming" or "wonder if idea is good" or "playtest with friends." Liked how the guy typed to the beat of the music. Good job!
It's always fun to see this types of entries in LudumDare where someone makes a meta game about making an LDJAM game but what I like about this on is the queuing system helps to stay more focus on what to work on next as if teaching how to prioritize. Nice implementation. :)
Good game: you can't definitely create an open world MMO game for Ludum Dare :-)
Great game ! I love the idea you had :D
nice game :D
Very cool game, this is exactly how it felt making a game for LD  Great Job!
One Concept I Liked: * I liked how sharp and clear the sounds felt and how relaxing the background music was.
One Concept That I Disliked: * The selection menu for items to do was sort of difficult to scroll through quickly and to select items quickly.
This was a lot of fun! As above the scrolling list of items was not a lot of fun but despite that this has likely been my most enjoyed ld43 game so far! A well thought out and executed idea. The audio is enjoyable but not in my face and the list of things to do was very entertaining :) Thank you very much for sharing your work!!
Ha ha!I just slept 10h just like what I was doing!
Really fun game! But I suck at time management :D ld43.png
Very fun little game! And perfectly captures the theme with needing to "sacrifice" certain awesome-sounding features in order successfully complete a game within the deadline at all. I somehow managed to make a really fun game with really terrible graphics haha
Screen Shot 2018-12-09 at 7.58.30 PM.png
A really fun game to play ! I didn't understand how to play at first, but, once you understand it, it become really fun ! The coffee add a good layer of "strategy" to the game, and I really like the joke on the biggest feature !
Haha, amazing, as always!
I really enjoyed playing this, and came out with a pretty good 'game'! I really like the added touch of the ratings at the end - they were much higher than I've ever achieved before!
I like how everyone has different results, just like the actual jam, in fact it really captures the sacrifices you make in the jam. I love it!
