Man, I could feel the intense game jam submission pressure all over again at the end! Thanks, this was really funny.
I started this comment saying that after many tries, I couldn't get that human. But then I looked back at the image at the top of this page, and figured I *had* to see the victory animation, so I tried once more, and made it! Guess the game was actually good at improving typing skills — albeit for a limited number of words ;p
This was hilarious! The perfect tool for the job. Kind of made me think of Worms' grenades, which I could never use properly.
Oooh, I thought that was the joke. Surreal humor is always effective. Nice mix there! One cool addition would have been the jokes written on the cards, and matched to comebacks, a bit as in Monkey Island...
Besides the nice puzzles, I liked the way that music is turned into a kind of architecture, as in, I sing a scale and get a stair, or I sing a long note and brief ones to get a sort of wall and windows. Makes one want to form a harmony quintet to beat the game while drawing nice shapes. Great job!
I believe I would have made both a lousy driver and a lousy politician, the citizens didn't like me so much on my first game. I got reelected, but then the game crashed. Then I felt like a true politician. Great job! đź‘Ť BTW Is the number of tomatoes somehow linked to the environment bar? As in, more vegetables on the trees => more on the road?
It's the first time I've read interactive fiction during a game jam, and the feeling is really strange, yet enjoyable, a complete mood swing. Your piece feels really eerily quiet, with the quaint and sometimes morbid descriptions interleaved with Jeffries' deep observations. I couldn't finish the story without looking at the source (is that cheating or skimming?), but the feeling I got, that the dead were more alive than the living, was something new. Thank you for that!
As already noted, the controls for the space view are hard to get at first. I had the forward thrusters on, thought it wasn't doing anything, and escaped the fight. Afterwards I was just slipping against the fixed stars in the pointless infinity of space I guess, because the other spacecraft was nowhere to be seen. I wish I'd had a pointer to the enemy location, so I could continue the fight and not restart the game.
Apart from that, this was great! It had been a while since I'd used those symbols.
This was a nice little story, with as believable punctuation characters as I've ever read ;) I found a bug: you can type any number to gain abilities, even if you don't have that number (for exemple `dash100`). This makes the game much less challenging.
This is adorable! It is also somewhat hard, you're teaching your child the right stuff :p Félicitations, c'était vachement chouette ! Ça me rappelle de bons moments dans la cour de récré ;)

Cool concept, I’d rather see a giant grocery mech than delivery drones in the future! The game does need some polishing, though: aiming the carts is a bit frustrating since they seem to be launched at rather low speed, not what you’d expect from a turret — but I understand you don’t want to injure your clients with their groceries.

Everything was going pretty well until I started dancing, and that seemed to bring the party down. So realistic! Then here I was running around, trying to make everybody feel at home, when suddenly, pissed as hell I got stuck inside a wall and _then_ the party died. Well, I wish I could say this never happened to me in real life.

This game combined the mood of a classic murder mystery with Silent Hill-style psychological horror. The action is very simple, but it works well to build up the tension. Good entry!

Thanks for leaving the suggestion to play, over at my game. This is actually the first game in this jam that I’ve _won_! Everyone seems to be making impossible to win games. Yours, while challenging, was fun and rewarding. The cranking action was a nice invention, and I felt really lost in the woods. Good job!

This was so great! I loved to — snip, snip — carve those leaves out of the way and the tree into shape. I helped four trees grow, and when I stopped I didn’t care that they were 100% accurate to the target shape, they just felt alive and doing their own thing. I know bonsai is about coercion and perfection but watching the pixels feels nice, too. Beautiful game :)

The game is hard, but of course I don’t think it’s supposed to have an ending. I like the graphics, particularly the fast animation of the character’s legs. :D

I like the minimalism here, and the way you expressed the conflict between taking care of a relationship, and finding time for oneself. I’m proud I released the rock into the wilds :)
