What's not to love about Magical Michael ! 90% adorable, 10% creepy, just what it takes to make a memorable game jam character. Cool writing, hilarious voice acting, I liked it a lot. Congrats you guys :)
Loved this entry ! We actually had a relatively similar idea at the beginning but failed to make it original and cool enough. Congratulations ! I love the "Reigns"-like gameplay, good writing and satisfying soundtrack. Keep up the good work :)
Very cool entry. Easy to learn / hard to master gameplay loop, I loved it. Huge shoutout for all the interactions inherent to the different creatures. Made me play multiple times to find new ones :)
Hey there, nice entry. Smooth gameplay loop, easy to understand and refreshing. Well done ! I would also love to play other levels :)
Brilliant game ! Refreshing atmosphere, outstanding artworks, I loved playing it. One of my favorites so far, congratulations to the team :)
Cool entry ! I liked the level design and good writing. My only remark is regarding the camera. Maybe I was doing things wrong but sometimes I couldn't turn it back to where I was looking and it got kind of stuck. Good job though :)
Very nice entry ! Big shoutout to the soundtrack and smooth gameplay loop. Would 100% play a larger version. Well done :)
Interesting entry. It took me some time to figure out how to manage things properly and not bleed resources but I liked the atmosphere, art and very funny writing. I imagine you guys had a blast building this, so for that alone well done :)
Really good entry. We had a good laugh playing it, well done ! Short but refreshing and enjoyable. I liked the "company" setting a lot.
Awesome entry ! I'm usually not a big fan of rhythm games but it was so well done here that I was sucked into it. Great songs , cool gameplay mix, very addictive. Well done guys !
Nice entry ! The game feels nice and smooth. I especially loved the side effect of hustling with the tiny black critters ;) Very nice experience overall, though it is quite difficult. I did not manage to gather the first five sprites.
I had an absolute blast playing this. Definitely one of my faves this jam, great work team ! The difficulty is brilliantly managed, music is good, sprites are neat and everything about it feels so smooth. It's also one of the few games I've played with a real replayability factor which is very rare. GGs !
Awesome entry ! The shrinking mechanic is a ton of fun right away, the art is top notch and the map exploration is really enjoyable. I immediately felt the urge to chase and minimize the hell out of whatever was throwing those missiles above the pile of books at the beginning. Wasn't disappointed :D Good job team.
Nice entry ! Loved the atmosphere, the art (kudos for the beginning) and the last level made our team laugh a lot. We were taking turns playing on trackpad for even more chaos and it delivered for sure. Good job team !
Lovely game ! Runs smoothly, feels fun right away, difficulty is brilliantly managed. Well done ! Props to the camera movements at the beginning, cute art style and well written dialogues.
Really nice entry ! Our team enjoyed playing it all the way together. It's fun, effective, runs smoothly, well done team :) We also liked the sound design and the sprites were awesome.
Lovely entry, had a ton of fun playing it. Everything about your game just feels so smooth and satisfying ! Props to the excellent sound design, brilliant pixel-art (one of the best I've seen so far) and witty dialogues from those cute characters you meet along the way. Also loved your take on the theme, obviously. Great job team !
Really neat entry, good job team ! I like the overall aesthetic and I really had fun trying to trap those pesky pest doctors in corners  . The animations are cute and effective and everything just runs so smoothly. Well done !
Hi everyone, thank you so much for playing Harvested and taking the time to give us a feedback. I will be addressing a few remarks you’ve made.
@hlebnay-kroshka The game should load properly, but it does take a while sometimes ^^ I’m sorry you couldn’t access it on your first attempt.
@ssiannas ; @nija463 ; @royur The bug where you get stuck with our big guy was fixed immediately. We all wanted the ending to look different but we were desperately running out of time and this is basically the only solution we found. The point of the story was not only to reveal a big creature in the end, but also to make it an amalgamation of the small ones you absorbed before, ending things with a nice little twist on who is really the tiny creature. The project was a bit big though and we ran out of time :(
@ownedstuff ; @klaus-peter Thank you very much for writing such a detailed feedback AND playing it to completion :D
You’re absolutely right on the « challenge » part. We were planning on implementing more things, like some creatures being harder to catch or hiding within the facility to make it better but time is one hell of a foe ^^. It was a tight rope really because we also wanted the main gameplay loop to feel « limited » so the player suspects right away that there is something more. The main idea was also to correlate the player’s need to be fast and chase score / the character’s need to absorb as many things as possible for the corporation. It ended up being too much to do.
On the readables part it’s kind of the same issue. We had a lot of things planned for the atmosphere to assist narrative and both EVT storytelling and readables were supposed to work in concert. I really hope you still enjoyed it despite its flaws :) Things weren’t supposed to be that smooth, but we lacked the time to implement critical scenery elements. In the end we really wanted the absorbing process to feel secondary the more you progress and the game leaning toward a walking sim. But as we lacked the time to implement scenery the gameplay loop takes a lot more place than it should and thus feels a bit slow-paced.
Overall it was a really fun project to work on, and the majority of the team was actually completely new to jams. We’re really happy of the way we worked together even though the result wasn’t as good as we expected. But that’s how jams work, it’s part of the fun ! :D Maybe someday we’ll release it again in its final form :)
Thank you again for giving it a chance, it means a lot to us !
A fun and solid entry, very well done ! I especially loved the multiple endings mechanic which surely isn't common in these types of games. Made me want to play again after getting the second one, especially since you cleverly decided not to design dying as something punishing. Great job :v:
A really solid entry for a game made in only a few hours, well done. This is a very nice twist on the theme and the gameplay loop is simple but fun. English is not my mother tongue so I had to dig kind of deep to find good synonyms, which led to learning new words with some targeted research after playing :) Good job !
