LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Tiny Creatures by Geckoo1337 2024-10-24T16:08:01Z

Nice idea! Really love when I see game of life interpretations in games/jams.

Thanks for the submission

RAT FRONTIER by rubentipparach 2024-10-09T08:07:00Z

The gameplay looks really interesting, the visuals too. The concept of a card game is intriguing

I would love to see a tutorial menu or an explanation because I never got to fire the thruster and just ended up making a long boi ratship :P

Play With Me by gord10ahmet 2024-10-09T10:15:55Z

This is soooo great. Love the Tamagotchi vibes. The music is veery chill and the pixel art as well as the shaders sell the handheld arcadey vibe so well.

One of my favourite submissions so far! :D

Unfinished by Sharks 2024-10-24T21:41:04Z

Can't wait!

Titan Shadow by Korteh 2024-10-24T20:56:38Z

As others say, great shadow of the colosus vibes!

I'd love to see more titans!

Great job for a 3 day project

Tiny Aliens by GreatVV 2024-10-09T11:15:04Z

The game is pretty and the difficulty ramps pretty neatly. I like the arcade vibe

Beaming up through a red circle kills the little aliens which is not really fun after you have already solved the level. Also there is sometimes a weird flash between levels

I would love to see some SFX for the little people and maybe figuring out ways to make the mechanic less repetitive. Thanks for the submission!

Remy The Roach by beats 2024-10-09T09:23:20Z

Very nice game. Love the arcade feel, it reminds me a lot of a Warioware minigame.

Tiny Adventure by Becher 2024-10-09T08:12:52Z

Awesome game! The concept of the little window inside the bigger world view was so fun. The dialogue text also made me laugh.

I'd love to have some music in there as well for the tiny people. Using a button to swing the sword or maybe having the character orient towards the click might make the combat more interactive

Ant Colony Tycoon Deluxe by IAmWave 2024-10-08T23:35:58Z

Really nice! The starting position of stuff makes a big difference but I found myself worrying about my little fellas when I ran out of pherormone :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for the submission!

The Crawling Forest by vrerabek 2024-10-08T09:25:11Z

Grat atmosphere! I really wanted to see Torpus at the end.

- Graphics really sold the vibe - The monster AI was good enough that you had to be careful - The difficulty ramp was nice too

Great job managing this on your own in two days.

Springtail by KeithSwanger 2024-10-13T18:33:03Z

Awesome game! Really annoying at times but addicting :stuck_out_tongue:.

Loved the movement control feeling and animations.

Apparatus by evindor 2024-10-08T23:47:46Z

Great art, awesome concept and a very nice soundtrack. The game looks and feels really polished and it has a lot of replayability. I'd love to see where this project goes because it definitely has potential

Tiny Survivors by wospy 2024-10-09T14:09:50Z

Really fun minigame. Loved how you can lose your upgrades as well as obtain them. The upgrade screen stops the flow of the game for a bit but that's not necessarily bad. Thanks for sharing.

LEAF SLURPERS - tiny creatures by Tankou 2024-10-13T18:28:42Z

Very cute art! I really liked the faces in the droplet enemies and the parallax effect on the background.

The menu says "S or E" to slurp but for some reason E didn't work for me so I spent sometime playing without slurping haha. Maybe some indicators in-game when you first spawn would also be nice.

Cheese Chase by Raymond Bourke 2024-10-08T09:20:54Z

Nice game, the vibe is **cheesy** and lvl 5 was fun to play a couple of times.

I agree with what @trogdor-20x6 said about levels progressing automatically. I also found that if you lose a life on one level, the UI doesn't update you back to full lives on the next but the game state does.

The graphics are really cute too.

Molly the Mole by Linus Szokody 2024-10-08T23:40:03Z

Great mood, it felt spooky and uneasy at times (in a good way)! Worms were a bit hard to spot at first but very nice overall!

Ludum Dare 56 by Mantsje 2024-10-09T07:15:52Z

A bit hard but hilarious. Really like the style too. Great submission

Parabowls by amarokczukay 2024-10-09T11:57:14Z

Nice vibe, great artwork and sound design. The pinball concept is nice and loved all the neat tooltips.

I would really like to see something like a machine shooting the parabowls haha

Candy Quest by Lautaro Q 2024-10-09T14:10:52Z

Great art and dialogue. The overall atmosphere is cute and spooooky. Thanks for the submission! :D

Hive Havoc by Tkap1 2024-10-09T10:42:29Z

Nice game. I went for a full auto victory with a fleet of 60 pumped up drones. Not the fastest but really satisfactory to just chill and see the drones do all the work.

I would love to see some music and some different sfx for the enemies. At the end of my game it sounded like a mechanical keyboard mashing hahaha

The custom C++ engine bit is very impressive and the leaderboard was also a nice addition! Awesome submission

Tiny Taunters by ssiannas 2024-10-08T23:10:46Z

Hiya all! Thank you for your kind comments . We are all really excited because it was @metaksonio's first time doing art for a game and my first time writing music / SFX for a game and it was tough doing it while coding at the same time. So we are **really really really** glad you liked it.

We made a couple of small updates (more underway once we find time to polish some stuff).

Namely:

- No more kid exploits. They faint after some good scares. - Tuned some enemies to make them just a bit spookier. - Improved some of the annoying colliders.

Thanks @snesgaard, @zbrogdom and @tentacledream for the feedback and ideas

Tiny Taunters by ssiannas 2024-10-09T08:47:21Z

@zyppi Thanks for the feedback!

>"It really looks like an old movie."

That's the aesthetic we were going for! Glad it didn't go unnoticed.

>"They really like to get stuck around the walls making easy point farm."

Yeah that's true . It's in our plans for the upcoming patch to fix the enemy AI once we find some time.

Lab Rat Runner by anaastaska 2024-10-08T15:53:10Z

Nice game! Really liked the asset variety. I would love to see the dungeons being progressively generated (ofc outside the scope of a game jam).

Also, I feel that having a clearer end goal would make the game more engaging.

Thanks for the submission! ^_^

HARVESTED by Chronicpain 2024-10-08T09:14:08Z

Great game! The writing is very good and captivating making you want to move the story forward. I especially liked the corporate messages. The audio helps with the serene mood although it had some janky loops at points

I think I may have unfortunately gotten stuck at the last scene while walking towards the exit so I might have not experienced an ending.

Overall the mood of the game is really serene and I am starting to feel attached to these tiny creatures. Kudos for making a neat short story in 3D in such a short time!

Tardigrade Travels: A Tardigrade's Terrifyingly Terrific Traversal Through Time! by Plasmak 2024-10-24T16:28:57Z

Awesome cute animations. The arcade minigame play is great for this sort of jam.

I'd love to see the little fellas evolve into a bigger project.

Familiar Bones by barryrichter 2024-10-08T08:52:14Z

Nice game, thanks for your submission! I see the dialogue bug has already been mentioned haha I got back in the house and got stuck with the witch talking to me :stuck_out_tongue:

One thing I'd like to see is maybe a smoother change in scene when you move in the hole.

Great aesthetic overall!

BomBom Wash by Overlix 2024-10-09T09:47:16Z

Great visuals. I love the power washing simulator idea, very chill atmosphere overall.

DRONE BRIGADE by Gaalsien 2024-10-08T23:19:22Z

Wow! Really amazing you managed to pull this off in shuch a short time. The shaders were great as well as the deep mechanics you implemented. The game has great replayability and it's very clever. I found it a bit hard the first time but once I got the hang of it it got smoother.

I'd love to see the help menu or a tutorial in the main menu because it took me some time to see it :stuck_out_tongue:

Awesome submission!

Would You Still Love Me? by RachelfTech 2024-10-09T07:30:42Z

Very wholesome! The graphics and the music really made the storytelling atmosphere. Nice submission!

Tiny layout by batterbomb 2024-10-08T16:00:22Z

Loved the art, gameplay was pretty fun and the music made a whimnsical atmosphere.

Beyond Fear by Arsmih24 2024-10-09T10:48:28Z

Loved the visuals. The art and the overall atmosphere is very good.

I'd like to see the character move a bit faster and maybe hiding could be controlled. Music might have also helped bump up the atmosphere.

Great submission

Tiny Adventure by Kuadret 2024-10-08T23:42:27Z

Uhhh.. no game still :(

Creatures of Habit (unfinished!!1) by itcz 2024-10-08T15:46:41Z

Really nice assets! I would love to play a story in your setting. Update us if you continue the game!

LD57 — Depths

Get to the bottom by jk5000 2025-04-08T07:45:16Z

Chill gaming vibes here. Unfortunately I played this alone :') so I didn't get the full experience haha.

Nice submission!

edit: Would love to see a webGL version. It could be a super cute browser mini game.

Walking Simulator by Tero Pulkkinen 2025-04-07T17:38:03Z

A modern day Sisyphus

Echoes of the deep by BadPinkChicken 2025-04-07T14:15:00Z

Lovely atmosphere, good sounds and the controls were smooth. Nice entry!

The Void by Iluvatar 2025-04-07T17:27:31Z

DUDE! This game slaps so hard :D Awesome sound design, bearutiful graphics and as other people pointed out the point and click adventure nostalgia is definitely there.

Great amount of polish and it also hits my lovecraftian sweet spot!

10/10 submission.

Ribux - Spelunker delux by daandruff 2025-04-08T08:04:50Z

Very fun game and it feels pretty polished! Awesome aesthetics, uniform color palette and the gameplay was fun enough to keep you engaged for a while. Especially liked the audio :D

Wrinkles by OadT 2025-04-07T16:12:19Z

Great idea with a nice twist and cool level progression.

I found the dialogues very funny and I think I created a monster during the final level.

Nice submission!

The Depths of the Bag by Croped 2025-04-09T13:06:46Z

Nice job! Very close to being a rage game hahaha

Artwork and voice acting are dope, really builds the atmosphere. I failed so miserably haha. I managed to clutter a small corridor with dead bodies and then I couldn't get past it :P Then I figured out you can drop between other objects.

I think some depth meter or indication would be nice to add to the feeling of progress.

Nice submission, good to see a fellow dodge dropper game out there!

The Drop by Langotriel 2025-04-10T08:13:32Z

8oITNPx.jpeg

Amazing characters! The voice acting is exceptional (and hilarious) and the soundtrack is super fitting. The TV filter gives it an extra layer of polish. I think I broke into a collider at some point and ended up inside the ground.

Maybe some sort of change in the background or different obstacles / speed as you go deeper would make the sense of progression stronger.

Awesome submission overall! Great to see another infinite dodge dropper here! :D

The Drop by Langotriel 2025-04-10T08:21:14Z

@langotriel no worries it's still super neat! We also dropped the power-ups because we all had to go to work for the third day of the jam. I think it's a very common thing for power-ups to never make it in haha

Deep Exorcizing: A Poltergeist Cleaning Company by ThomasTournoys 2025-04-08T07:17:00Z

The game is very pretty. The core mechanic is interesting too.

I think it's also very hard since the poltergeist keeps escaping from me :P. Also the dialog boxes are a bit clunky, sometimes I couldn't get them to stop appearing and stopping my movement.

The vibe is very chill and the repeating audio creates a spooky vibe. Cool submission!

Shattered Depths by Sharky3188 2025-04-07T14:08:00Z

Awesome atmosphere! Found it a bit hard to orient and find where I should go after the third level but overall it was very fun.

The "Press LClick to mine" got stuck on my screen so I missed most of the dialogue. The crystal physics were a bit weird too, if you drop them looking down they just dissapear.

Great submission overall!

Cubethulhu by Flying Dog Fish 2025-04-08T09:58:17Z

Fun game! I wish the fire hitbox was bit more forgiving. I kept dying to a fire jump sequence haha

Loved the Cthulhu gulp sounds

Dyamid by leorean 2025-04-07T14:23:03Z

Awesome puzzle game! Amazing that you managed to design this many mechanics in such a short time. I liked the SFX and the music was very nice tool.

Great submussion

Super Mecha Diggin Dodge Idle by wheelsx 2025-04-08T07:25:18Z

Lovely game! Congrats on the 11 years :D

The game was plenty fun! I really enjoyed that the pwoerups didn't stop the game but were not intrusive either. I'd also love to have a leaderboard at the end.

The audio at the end game screen kind of glitched and looped which was weird but funny.

Great submission!

Hooked by mira 2025-04-07T17:52:19Z

Nice minigame, the core mechancis remind me of dredge / dave the diver.

Nice artwork. I'd love to the difficulty ramping up

Combat Wombat by DrGrognak 2025-04-07T15:33:36Z

Fun game! The hitboxes are a bit clunky which has funny results sometimes haha.

Nice submission :D

Timmy's House by GroseilleDodue 2025-04-07T14:38:52Z

Awesome entry. Loved the aesthetics, the opening cinematic and the sound design.

The AI follow is sometimes too good to escape from so the game is a bit hard until you learn the layout of the map. Also I couldn't see the connection to the theme but maybe I missed something.

Overall great submission :D

Minesweeper 3D by LittleGamer 2025-04-07T13:56:09Z

Good stuff! Besides the camera stuff people already mentioned it's a super solid entry with depth of gameplay and a really nice twist on a classic. Good work :D

Cadet Mizuno by betovf 2025-04-07T14:44:23Z

I liked the low poly style but I couldn't get past level2 :P.

I think the range on the guards is a bit too punishing (i had the guard taze me from the other end of the room while behind a corner), especially if it can't be blocked by obstacles but maybe I just couldn't solve the puzzle the proper way.

Nice entry, I hope someone helps Mizuno escape because I certainly couldn't :)

Deepsweeper by dan-whiffing 2025-04-07T15:13:50Z

Nice game! Really like the concept of taking a simple classic game and adding a twist.

I found navigation to be a bit hard, especially given how dark the game is. Maybe being able to "automatically" swim instead of using space would help?

I liked the simplistic graphics and maybe I would add some sort of explanation on what counts as adjacency (took me some time to figure out if the diagonal boxes are adjacent or not)

Thanks for the submission, good job!

Into The Depths by SmelJey 2025-04-08T08:40:23Z

Fun game. I like the atmosphere with the low lighting and the chill medieval music. It's got simple mechanics but a lot of gameplay depth. It looks very polished and has a good learning curve too.

I couldn't find a lot of relation to the theme besides the description, though.

Awesome submission!

Scares on Schedule by python-b5 2025-04-09T17:14:50Z

Awesome game.

Artwork and music are top notch! But damn are the minigames hard hahaha. Especially the match one I couldn't even beat it one time. Some tuning to ease into it as others said might have been beneficial. Like the villagers requiring two minigames at first.

I managed to get two scares after a couple of playthroughs. Super nice submission!

Altitudes by PolymathLD 2025-04-07T18:28:24Z

Very cool idea and a great deal of gameplay for a compo game. Some interactions especially on the lower layers could use more polishing but the general aesthetics are very nice!

Banished by likoyr 2025-04-07T15:50:20Z

Beautiful art! Really loved the ending concept. Unfortunately godot crashed a couple of times idk why.

We also have the same game idea! Nice :D

Dysbarism by nathmate 2025-04-09T11:35:18Z

Nice game! I loved the physics implementation. I found it a bit hard to control at times but I think that's pure skill issue :P.

I played this on a higher resolution screen and the video effects didn't render properly most likely due to the resolution as you mentioned in a prior comment which I think took a bit away from the experience and the atmosphere (I could also see the hiding spots of the narwhals haha)

Hireblades by quasilyte 2025-04-09T12:15:31Z

Wow really nice game!

It took me a couple of rounds to get a full grasp of most of the mechanics and I kept finding more as I went through.

Some things I would like to see in future versions: * A tutorial level or even just a wall of text with some more in depth explanations besides the screenshots would be nice. (I saw your description here after I played the game once, oopsie) * Soundtrack / more SFX would absolutely elevate the game * Some turn order indication (maybe a highlighted border on who's next) to help strategise more

The artwork and the gameplay has a super old-school vibe which I absolutely love and the gameplay has a lot of depth. I found myself playing for quite longer than I expected! Awesome entry :D

P.S. The menu buttons for credits and settings didn't work for me.

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-07T12:30:14Z

Hey @javasaurus, thanks for playing our game!

We tried to get everything done in two days because we all had to work on the third day of the jam but we felt some tweaks were necessary before the deadline. So we:

* Adjusted difficulty scaling to better ease in and not scale in a game breaking way * Reworked scoring to feel more badass * Fixed a couple of bugs * Headbanged to the soundtrack :D

I'll try to tweak the main soundtrack a bit and add a couple more SFX if I find time

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-07T17:07:07Z

@littlegamer thanks for rating our game! Yeah I agree rng can be bad sometimes and I wish we had time to make up some more sophisticated algorithm for that. Hopefully dodge roll is enough to help at this point.

Also it seems your spot has been taken, better get back to it haha

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-07T17:42:12Z

@sharky3188 Thanks for the feedback! We tried placing him lower but it kind of messed up the timing of the demon dash attacks and made it harder to dodge overall. Maybe with some more fine tuning it could work!

@javasaurus thanks for playing! There have been some last minute tweaks in the difficulty and the score so feel free to give it another go!

@cherrybcake @palerus7 @baychowski Thanks for playing! We're super lucky to have @metaksonio on our team for this awesome artwork.

@oadt thanks for the feedback! We tried to make them as forgiving as we could but especially the large demon has a pretty weird hitbox haha :P

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-08T06:43:51Z

@hnkxobka thanks for playing! Unity + webGL + sound is not a match made in heaven. I noticed some audio bugs too when you click away from the webGL play window but unfortunately we didn't have time to solve them. Maybe after the rating ends I'll update the cutscene with embedded audio.

@mauzart @nyxkn thanks for the feedback :D

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-08T08:27:47Z

@smeljey ahhh it's the classic problem of "the game feels too easy" to the developer but it might be much harder. You get more passive score the further down you go (to emulate faster falling) so once you reach a higher score it's easier to get a much larger number.

I thought of tweaking the difficulty a bit but it would be unfair to the people already on the leaderboard haha.

Thanks for playing our game!

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-08T13:10:39Z

@texugo thanks! Yeah it would be nice to do some UX reworks here and there. Glad you enjoyed it!

@mrs-wheelsx I agree. As I mentioned above it would be a bit unfair to tweak it now but definitely on the post-jam list of things to do. Also, ofc we'll try to do next October if we can, hope we see you there as well!

@klavdev @yatsu @dywanix @elian-geser @halfdanthevillain Really happy you enjoyed our game! :D

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-08T14:42:52Z

Alright after taking the feedback into consideration, I decided to launch a **living version** that is on a different page and has better tuned difficulty. You can find it [here](https://ssiannas.itch.io/deepest-descent-living).

Sad thing is they share the same leaderboard but I guess it's fine not many people replay games enough to care.

@mrs-wheelsx @celian @smeljey maybe you can get past 200 here. :D Thank you all for the feedback and for playing

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-09T08:34:46Z

@thomastournoys Oh wow! Haha I don't think we've seen this bug before, thanks for bringing it up. I'm also sorry you had a poor experience with the lag. I'll take a look at some point to check if there's something going on. If you feel the game is a bit too hard, I made a living version that will be getting post jam updates [here](https://ssiannas.itch.io/deepest-descent-living). The difficulty there is toned down a bit so it might make for a better experience.

Thanks for playing, I'm really glad you enjoyed the music! :D

@dylan-shumway @piero-pbes-studio @korzhik @pigeon-dp @kseon thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it! :D

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-09T15:42:23Z

@tkap1 Yeah in the post jam version i added a more gradual difficulty ramp since a lot of people found it super hard. I think it needs some more playtasting to find the right balance. Thanks for the feedback :D

@vladimperator @she-wrote @kukaracila215 @soul-grinder @indiealesha @vsesl Thanks a ton for playing our game!

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-10T07:58:32Z

@monogatari @ogladian @maskrosen. Thank you all for playing our game and for the feedback!

@sam-gorman Yeap you're right about the difficulty. I think the post jam version solves this and allows you to go well beyond 200 points.

@tugaryn Yeap, the UI was done pretty last minute so it's one thing that could use some fine tuning. Thanks for the feedback :D

@oxnh It's on top of my list for the post-jam updates when I get some time because it really bugged me too haha. The patch will hit the living version to keep the original submission as is.

@farzher The leaderboard is made with https://danqzq.itch.io/leaderboard-creator. It has its issues with downtimes sometimes but it's a free resource which is great. It's also quite straightforward to implement in your game. It's gonna take some time but once you do it for a game it's going to be the exact same process. I'd like to try and make our own service next time.

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-10T09:18:09Z

@langotriel they did our boy Dave from Accounting dirty in heaven. Now he's ***Dave the Helldiver!***

Thanks for playing

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-11T15:01:29Z

@jack-turpitt thanks for the feedback :D I left a comment above on how you can "steal" the leaderboard. Our source code is also public so you can find our implementation too. Hope to see you around next ldjam

@verbante I know right? We lol'ed so hard when making it.

Good job on finishing your firt game! It's a great first step. I'll try to leave honest feedback.

* First of all, congrats on making a game with pygame! It was my first "game engine" too. As much as I love it though, sometimes it makes your life harder and not everyone has or will install python to run your game (or it gets flagged as suspicious) so it kinda limits the exposure your game will get. You can either try investing time in another game engine in the future OR you can continue learning python and how to use it to produce executables and webGL builds. (There are resources like [this](https://github.com/pygame-web)) * It's common practice in python to add a `requirements.txt` file which can be exported with `pip freeze > requirements.txt`. This will help other people using python install all the required dependencies for your game with `pip install -r requirements.txt`. This also pairs well with [virtual environemnts](https://realpython.com/python-virtual-environments-a-primer/) that help isolate code dependencies for each project. * You can try to give your game a story. Maybe even as text before the main game starts. Something as simple as "You must save the fish village from the demonic blackfish" would be enough to set a mood. * Some sort of score mechanic or end goal would really help motivate players to keep playing * Music was a bit loud, very short repetitive motiffs should be lower in volume unless it has some expressive purpose. Otherwise, it can get annoying

Congrats again on submitting for ludum dare! Keep 'em coming :D

Edit: I saw @andrewkennedy left super useful feedback too, you should check it out

Sub-mersed by Aynu 2025-04-10T10:33:45Z

@aynu there's literally no ceiling for any of us. Learning is a process that never stops and events like ludum dare are amazing to accelerate it!

Deep Chat by iphelf 2025-04-08T06:50:35Z

Awesome minigame! Really unique take on the theme with the core mechanic and the artwork is reallty cute.

I'd love to see a tutorial level that eases you in the mechanic a bit before you play.

Nice submission! :D

Chronicles of Victor by NAKS 2025-04-08T09:53:00Z

Nice game! We also had the concept of going down to hell but different execution.

It felt the difficulty ramped up super quickly and I got a horde of 15 demons destroying me at some point haha.

Nice game, the epic music is also neat. Imagine what this guy would do if he had his glasses.

The spaceship crashed. Find the way for the deep dark by SergyKoraduba 2025-04-07T17:17:55Z

Nice premise, I like the character dance animation! Project seems unfinished so I will not leave a rating. Ping me if you update :D

RepliCore by Nick Halstead 2025-04-07T15:06:05Z

Nice game. I liked the core mechanic and the flash game style aesthetic that came out of the artwork. Good job!

into the forest depths by Fliegen 2025-04-08T06:59:53Z

Really pretty artwork and good job designing a game with story progression through multiple encounters (levels).

I'd like to be able see the escape chance since I tried to do a peacful playthrough ahah. Combat was a bit punishing in my case (maybe I was just unlucky) because I kept dealing 2 damage and being dealt 10 every single round :P

I also think music would take this to the next level!

Cool submission!

Nice submission! You managed to get a lot of content in despite this being your first jam.

I like the artwork and the controls are pretty smooth too.

As everyone pointed out the game turned out extremely polished. Good job, loved the atmosphere :D

Cult of the Whisker by Artel 2025-04-07T15:42:17Z

Great atmosphere, the SFX help a lot. Having a bunch of cultists gang up on you is pretty scary. I'd love to see one or two more levels :D

Depth of your Thoughts by mauzart 2025-04-07T13:26:28Z

Nice job, it's a very good start, you should keep going.

I really liked the mood you created. Music and ambience made it feel nice.

At first I thought I missed an option for an english translation haha. I'd love it if you added english text so we could get the full experience :D

From The Depths: Mining Meets Tower Defense by cdupe 2025-04-09T12:51:56Z

Awesome game!

Things I really liked: - Music was fire :fire: - Artwork was super cute and kept making the cat headbang with the cursor haha - Just the right amount of turrets and mechanics - Upgrade mechanics

Only criticism would be that I felt the gold was a bit too sparse and it made it difficult to keep everything under control and not lose early.

Otherwise a very polished game! Great job :D

DropDeep by Elian Geser 2025-04-08T11:25:45Z

Very neat! The controls are super smooth. Loved the splats and audio work in general :D I especially liked the multiplier vs speed tradeoff!

We made a dodge dropper too so I'll say you nailed the theme 1000%

Depth to Horizon by YibiRabbit007 2025-04-07T14:49:37Z

Good job on your first entry! Hope you keep 'em coming in the future :D

I feel the game really needs some text or indicator explaining what you are supposed to do. I found it pretty hard given that it gets pretty chaotic at times. I liked the liminal vibes though!

The Investigator by ImmortalFox 2025-04-07T13:06:51Z

Really nice aesthetic. I felt a bit lost at the begining not understanding that I had to wait for the passage of the day so some sort of guidance (be it written or through indications) would be nice.

Nice submission! :D

The Investigator by ImmortalFox 2025-04-07T13:18:08Z

@immortalfox you could go full hearthstone and add clickable interactions in the background haha

Run For Your Knight by baychowski 2025-04-07T14:58:25Z

Awesome game! Really clever.

I'd really like to have a way to gained back time if you take other pieces. It would add an extra layer where you might take moves backwards in order to capture more.

Thanks for the submission!

Platform Fiasko by LastGenPlayer 2025-04-07T15:26:33Z

Nice entry! I got a glithed audio track that kept playing that was pretty annoying after a while. Very nice core mechanic, it reminds me of Fez. Good job :D

Blurred Escape by pizzabudet420 2025-04-08T07:54:32Z

Nice game. I had a thought of doing something with depth of field for the jam but couldn't quite wrap my head around it. Glad to see someone did it!

Nice atmosphere and a fair puzzle to keep you engaged. Idk if it's the font size but some "C"s looke dlike "O"s and it made me think there were typos.

A walk arround the pit with your friend´s head by Juno Menager 2025-04-08T10:24:46Z

Fun little walk. Very nice writing and lovely atmosphere. The post processing effects add a nice level of polish to it.

The mask guy reminded me of the Skullkid from Zelda.

Where it Ends by cherrybcake 2025-04-07T14:11:11Z

Very fun game! Amazing first time submission :D.

I found it a bit hard to control the character after a long fall since you couldn't see what was coming at you but I loved the sound and graphics.

Light - Ludum Dare 57 by based.on.life 2025-04-08T07:41:59Z

Awesome game. Great atmosphere too. Found it a bit hard at first because I felt the lights were not being collected. Nice submission!

Record Depth by Indiealesha 2025-04-09T11:51:15Z

Wow! Such an awesome game. I found it hilarious from start to end. I'd love to see some post-credit scene because of all the superhero movie references haha. The cartoonish art style made it extra funny too. Very old-school flash game vibes. Awesome entry!
