knipsch 2024-10-07 04:34

Sweet and a little heartfelt, with a great sense of humor. (I think about this exact scenario a lot.)

cryy22 2024-10-07 05:19

a lovely little experience. did what it set out to do, really well. thanks for making it!

dooskington 2024-10-07 05:20

zz1p 2024-10-07 14:56

A funny little story!

spritesurge 2024-10-07 18:07

Ive been watching your youtube videos for a while, so I was ecited to see that you also participated in ld this year ! The game has a great mood and awesome soundtrack. I loved the visual novel style!

rachelftech 2024-10-07 19:10

@spritesurge Thanks so much, I appreciate it! Will be making a devlog about the process soon :)

satless 2024-10-07 23:40

You did really well, I'll think a bit about this, about the symbolism and all that. Solid entry and a good idea for the jam!

paroxysmal 2024-10-07 23:48

Great entry.

adrien-tremblay 2024-10-08 03:18

Nice game! Really cool experimental interactive fiction. And a very funny take on the theme though. My ONLY comment besides that i've seen your YouTube channel and know you are an extremely talented guitarist. I wish the music you composed was a bit less repetitive as the looping gets a bit tiring.

rachelftech 2024-10-08 03:26

@adrien-tremblay Thank you, I appreciate it! Unfortunately I only had like 30 minutes left at the end of the compo to make and add the music to the game. Will try to save more time for it next time!

vipaka 2024-10-08 04:10

I laughed out loud when I realized what this was in reference to. Great job on the humor front, hilarious! The music wasn't my favorite, but not bad either way. Great job putting this together, and especially for a compo!

moonlightbomber 2024-10-08 07:02

This game's short, but it's nothing but heartwarming, coming from a fellow story-driven dev.

thomas-bringer 2024-10-08 08:09

Wow, loved that game! Very, very very cute. The writing is so nice and uplifting. I also loved the tiny interactions (putting stuff inside the brain, scrolling the phone) that made the experience engaging. And visuals are fresh, too. Great one!

sviborg 2024-10-08 08:53

This game is just adorable! ๐Ÿ’– I really enjoyed all the different interactions and the funny humor. ๐Ÿ˜„ The story is touching and funny, and the visual style creates a great mood. ๐ŸŽจ The music complements the atmosphere perfectly, although it could be less repetitive. ๐ŸŽถ Overall, it's a wonderful experience that is very well done, especially for such a short time! ๐Ÿ‘ Thank you for this cozy game! ๐Ÿ’•

docgeraud 2024-10-08 17:46

I was NOT expecting that ahah. But I really liked the game! Short and sweet ๐Ÿ˜Š

seiran 2024-10-08 17:54

Interesting way of saying would you still love me if I was a worm

perro 2024-10-08 17:54

This game really stood out to me for its visuals and gameplay that the developers offered. Really excellent game. Well done!

skel3ton 2024-10-08 18:07

Great cute story. It was funny and warming. Very cretive... good job :)

nevercontent 2024-10-08 18:12

Some sound relationship advice in this game. It works very well with the theme. And it's just the right length! (About the length of a worm)

dominic-graziano 2024-10-08 18:14

I really love this because it took a trope and applied a thoughtful and realistic scenario around it. It made me smile, and not because I was laughing, which is rare in gaming.

mitsukoy 2024-10-08 18:16

Wow, that was so poetic. I nearly found myself crying at the end ... The possible answer at the girly question "Would you still love me if i was a worm" Need to show it to my boyfriend x)

sockenpuppe 2024-10-08 18:24

Ah, the age old question "would you still love me if i was a worm" but with a twist :D

I really enjoyed your incredibly charming and really wholesome take on this <3

tomas88a 2024-10-08 18:36

short and sweet game, like that:)

wind1e 2024-10-08 18:52

You don't see too many interactive stories in this jam so that was a nice change of pace. Loved the narrative and the vibes!

tritotv 2024-10-08 19:18

Love it! Well done!

firefalls 2024-10-08 19:19

That was very touching! I didn't expect it to become so moving, but I'm glad that it took a more narrative-minded approach. The mini-games involved were cute, too!

nicole-a 2024-10-08 19:42

wow, it was so touching! Loved the game! Atmosphere is perfectly set throughout the game and music is great for the vibe!

ricksquanchez 2024-10-08 23:10

was not expecting something so heartwarming, great job!

svenerik 2024-10-09 05:42

Worm -> Human. Really enjoyed the graphics style and the fitting sound, great atmosphere that fit well with the story. Marvelous work!

ssiannas 2024-10-09 07:30

Very wholesome! The graphics and the music really made the storytelling atmosphere. Nice submission!

athospap 2024-10-09 08:22

The answer to the age old question... a really fun idea

rpgwanderer 2024-10-09 17:44

Very interesting experience, you have a great sense of composition and storytelling !

shadowmitia 2024-10-09 19:27

Great game! Simple mechanics with a powerful story! Plays great! And still has time to make you think!

mar-zockmeister 2024-10-09 22:25

Has a nice, Kafkaesque touch :-) You really integrated some nice, innovative interactions and and I also like the pace of the story and how the music supports the mood. :-)

nickhellquist 2024-10-09 22:37

I really liked the visuals; yet simple, the work very well. Also a good story and a nice play through :)

sarah 2024-10-09 23:17

This game was hilarious haha, I loved the dialogue and little games. It made me laugh and the art was beautiful too xD Overall nice work!

rachelftech 2024-10-10 00:02

@mar-zockmeister The Metamorphosis definitely crossed my mind while brainstorming! Thank you :)

crozzy 2024-10-10 08:53

It's a cool game, I really liked the style and music in it

recursor 2024-10-10 15:01

This was a strange and funny experience, which are two things I enjoy finding in an LD game. The simple guitar loop with the backing strings work really well and provides some nice ambiance to the experience.

coatline 2024-10-10 15:55

I like the style you went for here and the mood was well created and sustained. I also liked the little animations on the text that you added (isn't the RichText BBCode in Godot just so great?)!

unless-games 2024-10-11 19:45

Great use of interactions to enhance the narrative. Good story!

I always like to add some critic but there isn't much here, it's super cohesive and does what it sets out to do! Maybe the dirt could have been brown pixelated sprite blobs instead of the straight rectangles to fit with the rest of the art?

Awesome job!

dywanix 2024-10-11 20:09

I really enjoyed gameplay

zamizmi 2024-10-14 06:27

You've made a great experience to share in the 48hs! Great work <3

awootis 2024-10-14 20:39

so deep.. :love_letter:

blazejmg917 2024-10-15 17:56

This is a very sweet experience! I liked how you utilized subtle game mechanics to tell the story! Very florence-esque!

scrapmetal 2024-10-17 12:29

The mood is so great!! And that music... :heartpulse: It's a subtle thing, but I actually really liked how much character your dialogue boxes had. It added so much to the experience! Nice work! (on a separate side note, just checked out your YouTube channel... you have some great vids on there!)

rachelftech 2024-10-17 15:27

@scrapmetal Thanks so much and thanks for checking out the channel as well!

master-age 2024-10-22 10:41

Cute, charming, and funny. Loved it!

betovf 2024-10-23 07:57

Nice game for a first jam! The music really matches the story. Good job!

mreliptik 2024-10-23 20:21

Cute and charming!

cataclysmicknight 2024-10-24 00:22

โ€‹Aaaaaawwwwwwwwww omg I love this!!! I'm a trans gal and faced my own "transformation" after 14 years of being with my partner. This is such a sweet, lovely interpretation of the "would you still love me if I was a worm?" question, and I love the little interactive bits within. So short and sweet! ๐Ÿงก โ€‹
