Really enjoyed your game! There were a few parts where the gaps were too wide for the speed I was running at to feasibly jump (or I'd fall and get planted right in front of a gap before I could jump), but those are about the only complaints I have! The art was excellent, the audio was fitting and polished, the gameplay was fun and the contract mechanics were funny. I think you guys did an excellent job incorporating the theme into your game, and it really shows in the final product.
Absolutely beautiful game (could see where you were headed with the story), but the controls are a rough combination. ASDW + Shift + click? I didn't make it past the larger river even with the powerup.
It only showed me a black screen when I tried to play (Windows 10, Firefox and Chrome). I tried every letter I could think of on the keypad, clicking and still nothing.
Lots of fun to play!
There was a long wait time on the loading of this game, so long I thought it had crashed (heads up to other players, wait patiently). This game was definitely different for a side scrolling platformer, I got a lot of avante garde feelings playing it. I couldn't quite make the big jump, I think because the mechanics were a little rough around the edges. All around very interesting
It took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to figure out you have to spam click to grow crops. The music was fantastic and I thought the gameplay was really nice too. I thought at first the money were pests or something trying to eat my crops, but all in all this turned out to be a very chill fun game. :)
Firefox gave me a Godot error, and Chrome wouldn't move (tried number keys and WASD), so unfortunately I didn't get a chance to play the actual game. The graphics were very cute and the animated pixels were definitely impressive!
Sorry that you had difficulty playing the game @lukas-boersma. There was an unfinalized (and buggy) version of the game up on the link between last night and the publish deadline today, you might have tried to play it before it was fully functional. It should be in a working state at this stage.
@bklolo Thank you for reporting the bug! I have patched it, so hopefully no more unlimited fairies :)
Very cool game. I struggled a bit with the mechanics, but I really liked the drifting physics. Artistically interesting, it reminded me of some great classic games. Good job!
This was a very unique game idea! I think having 3d for this may have been overkill, but it was very pretty. I enjoyed getting better at catching the rain, and I didn't immediately notice the countdown timer to next rain (for the distributing screen) but it is a nice game loop all in all. Well done
Very challenging top down puzzler! The movement was smooth and the music was great. I started having to think about how to solve the puzzles at around level 4 or 5, and some of them were very hard! This was incredibly polished for a game jam game.
Mechanics were a little rough around the edges but nice concept.
This game made me reflect on how machines will eventually replace us all. Not every day a game makes you feel something! The music was a perfect fit for the game, and I am one of those weirdos who played it all the way to the 6000 boost (just to see if it could be maxed). You really optimized the entire upgrade flow, was an incredibly satisfying game to play. Would love to see a drag-click function added so you can plant multiple blocks at once. Art reminded me of minecraft for some reason...
The UI design on this game was great! Aesthetically a kind of gumshoe style low lighting to this game, some really strong language (for younger players), but overall a humorous game!
This game was genuinely pretty funny! I am not much of a fan of this style of game, but I think you pulled it off really well! The mechanics worked great and its always impressive to see a game from a game jam that has multiple levels worth of content. The twist ending was a nice touch!
Very cute music! I made it to level 2, and it had a very nice UI, I enjoyed playing your game.
A very cute turn-based tiled platform puzzler. I enjoyed the sound effects a lot and the art was very polished for a game jam! I beat about 5 levels, I enjoyed the strategy element and the mechanics were solid. I did get a little confused about the item usage rules (especially keys vs scythes) but I think overall this was a really good game!
Definitely a solid platformer game, and there were a good amount of hidden mechanics like more nectar weighing down your bee. I think the difficulty curve and the UI could use a little more polish.
Very cute music. I was pretty much unable to play this though as Firefox spat out a Godot error, I switched to chrome, and then the controls (I pressed every key on my keyboard) didn't seem to do anything. My truck wouldn't change lanes, even though I think it was suppose to. Cute concept, nice audio, interesting art.
The music in this was great! I didn't realize for a bit that there were additional screens you could move to if you just pushed against the edges, but I was incredibly impressed by the amount of mechanics built for this game! Nicely done
I loved the pixel art in this! I couldn't tell if the rocket fuel needed a certain amount (maybe a top bar or an outline?) to take off. The bird noises in the background were peaceful and the gameplay mechanics were tricky on a trackpad, but smooth to use. Good job on this game!
This thing was a 5 on mood for sure! The audio recordings sounded very authentic for a submarine. The ambient sound effects were very eerie. I was impressed with the amount of content you were able to put in for a 3d game, nicely done!
Some great music and lighting effects in this game! Also nice particle shattering when the targets break. I was able to see outside of bounds in a couple places and some of the energy blasts went through targets without breaking them if I was too far away, but other than that I didn't see any bugs. Great job on learning Godot in such a short time frame! Personally the level of detail in the level design like the patterns in the walls was really impressive. I enjoyed the multitude of rooms to go through too. Can't wait to see what your next Godot entry turns into !
The difficulty curve was pretty steep on the puzzles being immediately intermediate, but I liked the pixel work a lot! I found the controls a little bit hard to use.
I liked the discovery element for each color of alien. Using previous knowledge to beat future levels made for an intriguing playthrough.
The cards were not always playable, and I'm not sure why, maybe I was confused about a mechanic? The art was fresh and the music was energetic, and that helped make this game as charming as it was. Well done!
This is a fantastic game! The pixel art was top notch, the music was fun and fitting, and the gameplay mechanics were both entertaining and appropriate. My one criticism is that the controls were very difficult on a trackpad, I ended up giving up on the level with the dragonflies because of it. To be fair though, I think this game was meant to be played with an attached mouse though.
This is a cute idea. The sound effects were especially charming, and I enjoyed watching the ants swarm after reaching the food.
I tried to play your game but it would not load for me. :(
@gamesplusjames I was able to play the game! This is a fun little supermarket simulator clone, I enjoyed buying and selling slimes. It took me a minute or two to figure out how to pick them up to put them into their pen, but overall, well done for just a single weekend's work! The music was amazing.
That WATER!! My eyes are still sparkling, great job! I thought the mechanics of this game were fresh and inventive, and I really had a good time rapidly spamming left click to try and balance my sandwich before it capsized. What a clever game, great job!
The music in this game was so odd! Especially for the aesthetic, which reminded me of the nether. I thought the entire game premise was creative and clever, and the puzzle elements were a lot of fun to solve.

I enjoyed playing this game! The top-down tower defense style gameplay was an interesting re-envisioning of the genre. The music got a bit repetitive after a while.
This game was a vibe! I enjoyed figuring out how to unlock the different beehive enhancements and getting access to more areas. Great job!
What a silly and entertaining concept, very novel! The music was definitely suspenseful, it kept me on my toes as the hands sped up. I'd love to see more variety of mechanics, but overall this was a solid entry I enjoyed playing!
This game made me think of Stewart Little, and that's a compliment! The visuals were very nice, impressive for just a single game jam! I noped out when a certain commonly hated enemy type showed up, but it was a well made game, overall.
I am a big fan of this style of core game loop, where you do a task, earn money, and then upgrade. I think you did a good job at it, with lots of possible upgrades, and multiple different performer tasks. The music was on point for a circus, and seeing all the little critters performing together was delightful.
I greatly enjoyed being the tardigreatest samurai! The music was banging, the art was also good, and the mechanics were simple and straightforward enough that anyone could pick this up and play it on the go. Great job!
A top down overworld game was an ambitious goal for a single game jam entry. I felt a bit like a bystander to the action of recruiting the Alcheminis' to my party during those fights, but the controls on the overworld were solid. Good job!
I really liked the art style and music. The dithering effect and 4:3 ratio was nostalgic for me. The game would be far more approachable if the cannons did not automatically shoot the player until later levels. It was hard to quickly navigate a level without becoming familiar with it first.
I enjoyed the calm relaxing music for this one! Would have been nice if the environment plane for all of the objects faced towards the player as you move around, but that's icing.
What a nice idea! This reminded me of Plants vs Zombies with the lanes and creative take on tower defense mechanics. I enjoyed the music the most!
While my eyes were bleeding from the mish mash of art styles, I had a great time playing this game. I feel worth. The jaunty tunes were enjoyable while I crammed employees into my elevator.
The pogo mechanic took me a while to get the hang of, but its a fun one that lends itself very well to the idea for this game! Once I figured it out, I was vaulting up to the balloon every time I got a chance to offload my new tiny friends. Overall very cute entry!
This was a very cute concept, and I like the innovation around the game idea. I would love to see a chat function added, as it felt a little lonely to be just clicking when the scroll of automatic text updates glitched out and could no longer be read. Also, I'd recommend making the cat dance, purr, or something more exciting than just sitting when the actions are clicked to make it more immersive for players. Great job!
The physics of this game was wild to try and play! I am so bad hahaha It was super cute, and the music was very uplifting and fun. The comment text over the level was also quite funny. Nice entry!
I really like the card game element. The pixel art is super charming, and the exploding enemies are hilarious. Nicely done!
The music was great! I struggled with the controls, since the gun is pointed in the same direction as the rocket requires for movement.
Very quirky game! I enjoyed playing it.
Very chill puzzle game, I liked that you kept the order of weaknesses on the screen so I didn't have to remember it. Only feedback I'd give is that it was kind of hard to drag the creatures through the exit. The guitar music was chill as well :)
The audio, both music and sound effects, was spot on for this game! The art style was unique and the story was certainly entertaining! Nicely done.
Thanks for rating our game! I gave this one a spin, and noticed that I have to scroll down to find the fullscreen button. Otherwise, some of the elements are off screen. French isn't my main language, so I got a little lost, but it's an interesting concept you started!
Interesting game! I found the lack of dialogue-skip a little old-school, but the idea was interesting and the art was nice. Good job!
Very cute game! I thought the music was a nice addition, even though I'm not very fond of auto-clicker games it made it more interesting to play!
Props for getting a beginning, middle and end to your game! I liked the platforms made out of flowers. I would say there was a bit too much dialogue before being able to play.
I like the minigames. The music was catchy as well, and I think the art style worked well over all. Nice entry.
Quite the showing for a second game jam! Interesting being able to swap between cutscene and gameplay. My machine struggled to run this game at certain angles.
The art for this was great! I thought the voice overs were hilarious as well. Well done!
I laughed out loud when I realized what this was in reference to. Great job on the humor front, hilarious! The music wasn't my favorite, but not bad either way. Great job putting this together, and especially for a compo!
The game was fun for a bit, I liked the music until it stopped playing. The swarm effect is cool, but was causing frame drops on my machine.
The music was hopping! Very innovative gameplay ideas, I was still a little confused even with the very considerate tutorial text that was given to me. Nicely done.
Definitely some nostalgia here for Vampire Survivors! For some reason, grandma started shooting diagonally after getting her first powerup. The music and art were both cute.
As someone with an actual insectophobia, this was TERRIFYING xD Good job
For a game made by ~40 "industry veterans", I was expecting a lot more... There is a lot of flavor text, props to the narrative team, but the game elements were underwhelming. The world isn't even an open world, its a collection of several smaller screens. The game consisted mostly of minigames, and there were several bugs despite the team of QA people who worked on this. The music was really solid and good, but the visuals were not cohesive at all, and there was pixelization on the main protagonist's art, as well was on the arrows between screens. Just all around it felt like a mismash of too many chefs in the kitchen. The fishing game lagged when you hit the button, and seemed to jump to 'trash' from the entire opposite end of the menu, and I never was able to figure out how to upgrade or buy a home.
That was a fun little flashback to vampire survivor. I feel that the enemy scaling could be tweaked to allow an escalation of conflict over time.
What a cute idea! The music was adorable. Good job!
This game is definitely unique! I made some silly word combinations, but they seemed to make the tiny creatures happy! Good job!
Such a chill game! I wasn't sure which ones were the mines vs the flotsam at first, so I just drifted around avoiding everything initially.
I really enjoyed driving around, even though I discovered I am a terrible truck driver! Fun game!
Cute game, I like the focus on bug-collecting, very unique!
An interesting twist on a tower defense, very stylized. Nicely done!
The music was very fitting for the environment! I enjoyed the little bobbing walk animation too as I tried to gather fossils without dying by seal.
I really liked the music! Good game.
I liked that a lot of these bugs had ridiculous names and designs, and a nice variety of movement patterns. Good job!
The sound effects reminded me of the NPCs from Okami! I enjoyed haggling while managing inventory, great game!
I was confused too! I liked the flip animation though.
I would make a terrible TSA person. I failed repeatedly, but the music was a jam!
Your love for origami shines through! I would have loved to see the paper plane folds being animated, but I understand the time constraints of a game jam are quite limiting. Very nice game!
Very cute game! I enjoyed the human's animation as they ran.
You might want to add that the Control button (on Windows) shoots the lasers. I read through the instructions on your description and in the comments and didn't see it mentioned anywhere, and had to restart the game 3 times trying to figure out how to play...since you can't abduct anyone if their house's aren't on fire first.
I enjoyed this game, very fresh concept! That said, the control setup was pretty strange, but the graphics were great.
I really enjoyed the premise. The keys were not super responsive (several times I hit the correct combo and it was not picked up) but its a fun little game. I would have loved to see the fighters actually moving/fighting, it was a little bit too static. Rate mine? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/knife-throwing-gallery
