Interesting game! The combat admittedly was pretty wonky, and the background didn't mesh with the sprites very well, but the backgrounds were super pretty!
Very funny sprite of tardigrade XD. And I think that combination of 3D-background and 2D-hero looks good. Maybe I didn’t understand how the block works, but it didn’t work :( Good job :v:

I really like the art style and the music; very nice mood. I defeated all the enemies I came across with a single strike, but maybe I gave up too soon to get to enemies that required more complex tactics. At any rate, that's very understandable for a jam. Very nice entry!

The character sprite's tippy-tap animation as it runs around is my favorite. :smile:
Was kind of hard to judge where the hitboxes were, but fortunately once I got the hang of it I found them to be pretty generous! Wish there were more reasons to block, but I imagine some enemies probably had to get left on the cutting room floor to make the deadline. :slight_smile:
fun game i wish there was some sort of projectile shooting enemy so i had more reason to block but i really enjoyed the game
I also fell off the map from travelling too far to the left. Overall the atmosphere is really nice, i love the mushrooms the way they are glowing behind you, would have been awesome to see some sort of rim lighting light up the player when you passed under them. Combat felt pretty snappy, it would have been nice if there was some more telegraphing on the enemies and overall feedback to the player. Good overall effort.
Cool atmosphere, quite hard to play because you instantly die and hitboxes seems a bit wacky but animations and sprites are great!

I like game's atmosphere. And watching his tiny legs move so swiftly as this tiny samurai walks is just adorable. Fits the theme. Nice finished little game

It seems like you can attack while jumping and you hear the sound, but the visual is not visible. Also fell off the map, and was confused with the terrain, wasn't sure if it was random or looping or if just the enemies respawned.

I greatly enjoyed being the tardigreatest samurai! The music was banging, the art was also good, and the mechanics were simple and straightforward enough that anyone could pick this up and play it on the go. Great job!
Cute concept! I love watching his little legs scuttle around. The hitbox of the character/enemies is a bit difficult to determine. Sometimes it seems like you shouldn't be able to hit an enemy but you do, and sometimes I would die to an enemy it didn't seem like I was touching yet. But great theme usage!
The player sprite is funny as hell. The 2d elements didn't mesh with the 3d background, but something that would have helped is to make the sprites be affected by post processing! that would have helped a lot and it's only a few clicks.
The background and characters are fun. Combat needs work. Wouldn't need to be that complicated even. Maybe if attacking also dashed the character forward, so that you'd have to weigh that against obstacles or near enemies.

I wish there were opportunities to block, unless I did something wrong I didn't seem to need to block attacks until the end of the game.
The idea and music are cool. The gameplay is a bit lacking. It doesn't feel responsive (hitboxes and animations are a little janky). The movement speed encourages rushing but the one shot mechanic makes it awkward. There's also no reason to block.
