I have to say, this one really makes me want to keep playing! Great job!

I have to say, this one really makes me want to keep playing! Great job!
A simple concept but so replayable and soooo nice to look at. Well done!
Pretty great start honestly! A few more sound effects (like mushroom collecting, maybe gem activation) and maybe lining up the movement with how the trees are spaced might make it a little less jerky, but overall fun and effective!
Love the sound effects and the visuals. It's fun to stand below a tree as it falls down around you. Clean and simple!
Wow. Truly just wow. My favourite by far. Well done.
Absolutely adore this game, it's so well-done. I can't believe it was a 72-hour project! Great take on the 'harvest' theme. The art and visuals are wonderful. The music and sound were nice but could get a bit repetitive after a while, and the boat movements seem to get choppier the more you upgrade. But wow, truly an incredible entry!
I can definitely see how a controller would make this a little easier to control, I'm useless when it comes to z-x-c keys (spoiled by too much WASD I suppose). That being said, the visuals are incredible, the sound is incredibly satisfying, and the gameplay makes you want to keep trying again and again! I would agree that a health bar/counter would be more enjoyable than insta-death, but super impressive compo work!
Really cool visually and with audio, but it can be a bit difficult to control all three shapes in an efficient way. Great fun to play!
Nice integration of a TD with the theme! My only gripe would be with some of the fonts/colours used, it can be hard to read or see what's going on with some of the greens and browns especially. But overall great!
Simple but enjoyable concept! The little happy words of encouragement from the tree were a nice touch, and yeah definitely a game to test the moral compass. Great duality with that!
It was far too late in the evening for me to play this... can't deny it's creative though.. cue the nightmares
Simply put, a moo-sterpiece, through and through.
Very cute idea for the theme! I did have a couple issues where the game would stop responding and I had to reboot it. Cool Minesweeper homage though!
A really great entry! Love the graphics and the world. Sometimes it could be jarring between the movement speed from the arrow keys and the view speed with the mouse, but it just took some getting used to. Chasing apples was particularly funny, not sure why but I really enjoyed it.
The transition between heavy guitar music while getting swarmed by enemies and the muzak in the basement, just chilling in a chair, was incredibly hilarious to me. Very cool concept, though it can be difficult to balance the different enemy attacks without just bailing to the basement. Great visuals & sound!
Incredibly clean work for a solo effort, very impressive! It can be a bit tough to distinguish the powerups from the ones with negative effects but overall great!
Nostalgic vibes and cool concept for harvest! The graphic showing what is equipped is a little hard to make out but doesn't take too long to get the hang of it. Love the style!
Ooooo this is so fun!! Genuinely took me a while to stop playing, fantastic job - visuals, music, mood, and great fit for the theme!
Love games like this, I love how you incorporated the concept of harvesting but put a unique spin on it! It did take a little bit to figure out the order of making things in the cauldron but the description under the game really helped. Very fun!
Gloomy indeed, the atmosphere was very grim - well done on that! It was a bit confusing as to how you're supposed to plant seeds, but also keep exploring, but also harvest. It took a few restarts to get the hang of it and avoid the monster. Great effort nonetheless!
Beautifully designed and the music is so soothing. Very clever use of these mechanics for a harvest theme! Impressive compo!
10/10, would bread again
Seems like a simple concept at first glance but there's actually a lot of content here! Likewise took a while to figure it out but once you get the hang of it, it's great how much you can get out of the gameplay.
Incredibly polished work, well done using the tools available to you. It's a really impressive entry and I'm so glad someone incorporated that song into this theme.
That theme is going to be stuck in my head now... very cute overall!
A game of simple fun, nice idea that slots into the 'harvest' theme quite well. Would also have loved some music/audio to go with it, particularly splats (always a fun sound to have).
It's a really great start! It does take quite a while to rack up enough fish/money for the upgrades past a certain point, but it's the start of something that could be even better with time. Nice art, would love some sound to go with it, too!
This is definitely not the kind of game I'm good at but boy, was it hard to quit playing. I would say the hitboxes can be a bit rough to land on and I think the direction line could use a gauge to know when it will hit either edge. But impressive product for one afternoon of work!
Wow absolutely LOVE this entry, one of my favourites by far. The Kandinsky inspiration is so creative and aesthetically pleasing! Would love some kind of ambient music track in the background, I think it would really suit it. The controls do seem to be a bit floaty, but as long as you're ready to hit the spacebar not a huge issue. Really well done!
Once I figured out the left shift/left alt dilemma, boy howdy what a good time. Truly this game has brought me so much joy, well done.
So fun all around, from the sound effects to the concept to the art style. Great job!
Love the sense of humour and the take on the theme! This one genuinely had me trying again and again, it's pretty easy to get addicted to.
Love the humour and creativity of this one, the shooting sounds are top-notch.
@luftwafflesnsyrup @fc85057 the game is finally up and ready to play if you're still interested!
@cobaltjt We did have some issues with a bit of glitching and with colliders for making sure the fox could move smoothly across the surfaces. Unfortunately we could never quite get it to be 100%, something to work on for sure. Thank you for the feedback and for playing!
@don-fouts thank you for the feedback and for playing, really appreciate it!
@mihkelroomet thanks so much for playing! Yeah we did have some issues with colliders and boundaries that we couldn't quite iron out, definitely points to work on. Glad it was a fun experience for you overall!
@carei thanks for the kind words! We went back and forth on how to indicate distance and settled on the directional arrow, but definitely something to take into consideration for the future. Thanks for the feedback!
@tod-semple thank you for the compliments, means a lot! Regular left-right controls sometimes got quite finicky so we decided on clockwise-counterclockwise but the confusion with that is understandable. It's our first time trying a platformer so thank you for the feedback and for playing!
@amolker thank you for playing despite the bugs! It was definitely a learning experience to do a platformer, the feedback is appreciated.
Such a cute entry! I love the push to really explore the map and look for all the little pieces to collect, great gameplay for a simple concept!
Now this is a creative 'harvest' game! Simple concept, quirky, and fun all around. The personalities are a great extra touch.
Really polished entry and so much fun to play. It took a little while to figure out how to sell the yams and I couldn't help but often be overrun by enemies (but this only made me want to play more). Great sound and visuals!
Really cute start to a fun idea! It would be nice to have more levels and more function for the soul-throwing, but the product provided looks great.
Very impressive for a first time solo work! Agreed that a list of objectives would be helpful in driving the player towards the task more quickly. I think maybe having faster movement might have been nice as well. Love kicking around the yellow blocks and the message on the end screen. Well done!
Great take on the theme and pretty fun gameplay! Sometimes the movement and animations combined could make it a little hard to tell exactly where the scythe was swinging, but overall a unique and enjoyable entry!
Great entry! It could be a little difficult to figure out what the different mushroom effects/bars meant but it lends to replaying and trying new combinations. Love the art style and the music!
Very nice aesthetically, would love some audio to go with it! Occasionally the enemy spawn could be a bit overwhelming and it takes a while to get the hang of how the dragging mechanic works, but overall simple and entertaining!
Love the animation style and the sound! It's definitely tough as a single player, especially before the screen begins to zoom out. The enemies coming from the left can be tough to hit in time. Great starting point though, this could become something really great!
Would have to agree the pacing does feel a little slow and aimless at times, but lots of great work got put into this!
An interesting concept if not a little simplistic, I found the controls to be a bit confusing but not too bad with practice. Creative idea for harvest!
Even though it's simple, I kind of love it for that. If you really wanted to add a level of complexity, maybe control how much fish food there is to distribute? Then the player really has to time the feeding right and be a bit more strategic about it. The art is adorable and the music is super cute, great job!
A cool concept to fit with the theme. It took me a while to understand the dropping off of hitchhikers at the gas stations. Simple yet effective!
OOO this game scratches an itch that I didn't know I needed until now. What simple fun! It looks and sounds fantastic. It took a while to understand how the aiming and movement works but after awhile I got the hang of it and just kept playing. I didn't even notice 20 minutes went by...
What a cool concept! Protect little meatball man at all costs! I appreciate the little details, like Bill getting slower the more numbers he's carrying, the turret power increasing when you get more correct, or the X appearing in boxes you've already tried numbers in. I will say the X doesn't seem to appear for the multiple possibility tiles, but that's not too bad. Love the little turret helper but it would be nice to have control over shooting the monsters. Waiting to see if a tile will drop or not gets a little tedious sometimes. Also for 'limited space', I expected to only be able to carry a certain number of tiles. Overall clever entry!
Super innovative and very fun! It's a great use of the theme! It seems simple enough at first but it takes some thinking to find the best solution. Great job!
SO CUTE! I love text-based games and you knocked it out of the park! The humour is on-point (the shoehorn joke hit just right) and it was fun to explore and see what would happen. I'm tempted to try it a few times and try different choice orders to see how it would play out. Great entry!
Definitely fits the concept and I love me a good kitchen game, but omg MY EARS. I'm not sure if the ingredients are clipping or bouncing against colliders, but whenever they get dropped in the pot, cue bursts of clangs and low frequency bursts. It's simple fun overall but the audio is a bit of a drawback!
It was definitely confusing at first to try and figure out what was going on, especially when whoever is also playing isn't doing anything. Also wasn't expecting to spawn as the seagull when the game first booted! Love the concept, agree with another comment about maybe having an AI feature for solo play. Nice entry!
I love the interpretation of the concept! A rhythm game is always a good time. It was hard to tell exactly if the music and the clouds lined up with each other or if it was coincidence because sometimes they seemed to and sometimes maybe not. Lots of fun, great entry!
Nice and simple, very polished. I wasn't sure if there was music until I cranked my browser volume way up, and loved the music, too! Great entry!
Good use of theme, interesting concept! The controls take a little bit of getting used to and it's not immediately clear what to do when all the survivors have transferred over to your ship, but after some fiddling and practice it comes together. Nice entry!
Very cute game and graphics! The art and physics are fantastic! I enjoyed the concept of trying different combinations of items to get it just right. It was a bit hard to know how much space to save in the backpack before trying the levels but it makes the theme hit extra hard. And as an audio gal, I would love to play it with sound effects and music! Amazing solo entry overall!
What a fun concept! It was a little hard to know when to hit the buttons to be precise (not quite with the beat maybe?) but my guesswork seemed to work alright. That song slaps!
@whalejam @enreh Thanks so much for taking the time to play and leave feedback! We've been having some great discussions behind the scenes based on what players have mentioned here. Wall jump, hard drop, and fixed rotation buttons are definitely on the table as possible future improvements. We all appreciate the feedback and your interest, we hope you had fun!
I suck at games like this! But I love this game so much! What a dilemma... lovely graphics and great submission!
AWW as a little bird who just moved away from the nest, this hits especially close to home. It's so cute!! I love being able to customize what goes where and I appreciate that pieces aren't locked into place once they're put down. It's the ultimate 'how much do I REALLY need in my limited space' game. I think the music could have been a little more upbeat but overall really great entry!
I really like the concept and the visuals look great, but it can be really hard to stay on top of things due to how random the objects falling are. If there was an indicator of where the next object might be falling or a way to control where to drop it, it would be even better! Also a hitbox of some sort so the player knows when an object will squish them. Cool entry!
Hey just letting you know the link to your itch.io page isn't working!
The use of limited space in the game is really good, but it does sometimes make the core gameplay drag a little bit. Love the ambience and the art style! Well done!
Move over Louvre conservators, your job is taken. This made my day.
I like the concept, use of theme, and the look of the game but the text is far too small and the communication of what a player should be trying to do is very limited. It's hard to know how to put down items you've picked up until you do some clicking around. Good use of theme though!
Oh yesss this is a good one, great use of the theme! I could play this game for hours and be perfectly content. Super well done!
Now THIS is a super creative use of theme! I love how the sound gets louder and more distorted the higher the anxiety level gets. Great entry!
Cool interpretation of the theme! Also echoing that there could be a bit more communication; the screen feels very jam-packed with things overlapping so it can be hard to tell what's going on. But it's fun to take an opponent's item and use it against them, hehe.
Simple yet effective, sometimes that's the way to go! I love that you still included sound and the colour-changing aspect even with limited time. Very clever little story!
The concept is clever but it's really difficult to find a placement where the antivirus shooter can actually hit the viruses before they move positions and out of the firing line. For limited time, well done!
This game was so much fun! A simple concept but so well-executed and honestly a little addictive. I'm saving this one to play again in the future. Fantastic job!
@neandi @sybert @exister @relevart @bearcage @meepster @jake-g Thanks for taking the time to try the game, even with the steep learning curve! A rhythm game was definitely a new challenge. I did upload the game tracks to my SoundCloud profile if you're ever interested in having a listening experience separate from the game chaos!
Very cool concept and visual appeal, I love the creativity with this one. My one gripe is how much you end up relying on visual cue alone as opposed to getting a feel for where the beat should land. There's the tiniest delay between pressing the spacebar to the actual placement of the input with the movement of the circling figure. The fact that it just doesn't quite line up almost drove me crazy! But all in all, awesome entry!
I love the storyline for this one! Impressive for such a short amount of time. It took a while to get a feel for movement speed and use of the spells but it wasn't too bad after some practice. It can be pretty difficult to use the spells while in combat and jumping around. But a great innovative concept and very unique entry for this jam!
A very cool concept! It took me a while to get into the concept and lock into what to do. I think the amount of time it takes to progress was a bit of a turn off for me. But I really like what you did with the theme and the visual style is so cool!
AHHH C'EST FANTASTIQUE !! As my team's resident music and sound maker, I'm in love with how you incorporated music into the gameplay!! It's like a great combo of Chants of Sennaar, Legend of Zelda's ocarina mechanic, and Fez all in one. I'm in heaven! Très bien fait, bravo à toute l'équipe !
Cute doggos!
This game is impossibly adorable. It took me a little while to be able to tell if my Oompets were listening to me but once I got the hang of it, I was in love. Incredible art style and the audio is subtle but well-done. Great entry!! I want some Oompet friends for myself now!
Cute concept! I love watching his little legs scuttle around. The hitbox of the character/enemies is a bit difficult to determine. Sometimes it seems like you shouldn't be able to hit an enemy but you do, and sometimes I would die to an enemy it didn't seem like I was touching yet. But great theme usage!
Ooo you KNOW a mystery is gonna suck me in. Love using 'tiny creatures' as the characters! The animal puns in the dialogue really add to the vibe. Great music and sounds, too, really completes the whole package! I loved it!
Wow a great adaptation of one of my favourite childhood games! I love the innovation to put this one together, great job!
Love the Halloween theming! I did have quite a hared time navigating the room as I frequently clipped through moved objects like drawers, books, etc. Also once a drawer is open, if you keep clicking, it continues to open - all the way to the opposite wall! Fun entry for the theme overall!
Oh my god this is hilarious, I love it. Godzilla and soup combined? Genius. Squish away!
I'll be honest I love games like this but also suck at games like this. But that's my fault, not yours! Love the story concept and the mechanics of the different frogs! Mischievous frogs make me happy.
I wish the slowing down mechanic lasted a little bit longer! It could be hard to tell how sharp a turn was going to be or if the frogs were going to get me. Really fun concept and great entry!
Really cool use of the theme and the graphics are great! That being said, the constant camera wobble/tilt while walking genuinely made me quite dizzy. I would definitely play more otherwise! Love the sound effects and Swan Lake easter egg in the 'music' btw
Love the art style and the vibes! I wasn't really sure what to do for a while and then I somehow ended up losing with 0 points. Took me a bit to figure it out. But a really cool entry!
Love the concept and the music, but the only thing I managed to cut somehow was my own hand... not unlike my personal cooking skills! Would love to try again after bug fixes!
I'll be honest, even with the tutorial I was still a little lost. Great humour and concept though!
