A cutesy, juice-y take on Sudoku. I definitely missed my ability to take notes on possible numbers for a square, though.

Very cool Sudoku concept!, great music :)
wish i could take notes, but a really nice take on sudoku. loved the way my space gets ever more limited as i take hits when collecting numbers. i do think that the enemies could drop numbers more reliably.
This was such a fun spin on Sudoku. The art was really cute and the mini game was a fun added bonus to the game. I love the idea and had a lot of fun playing. Amazing job!!! <3
Absolutely polished! If this were polished any further, it would be be a gemstone. Art + Audio direction is spot on!
Tough start but the amount of sauce gained as you get to solving is unreal. Took me a wonderful 19 minutes! Also love the shooting sounds and the art style!
Very nice looking at very nice twist at combining the two genre.
For my taste, it was a bit slow and I just ended up waiting in the cellar. I understand this is meant to reflect more on the puzzle but still sometimes I just wanted pieces :-)
I think the mini-game could benefit from a bit more to do. Otherwise nice execution. Maybe I was trying to solve the sudoku traditionally to much, will give it another go and try to go faster and just gather more numbers.
Animations are cute and lively, I like the sounds & music that are in the top of the ladder, (not the loop that plays when solving the sudoku). Love the sounds and effects when the areas are solved, very satisfying. I also liked the purple blocks. There is definitely win-or-lose early game possibility to lose. I ended up playing this for longer than I was planning, even though I don't usually like doing sudokus.
I think it would be more rewarding if you had level progression, like a half-solved sudoku for the first playthrough and harder and harder after that. The game is otherwise so polished that it feels like it would make sense having some easier tutorial-difficulty levels first. It is a very nice experience and a fresh take on sudoku.
Really love the cute characters. Taking a "well known" concept like sudoku and adding such cute art and a music track and some interactivity really made it into a different game.
The transition between the two states reminds me of "chess boxing" :)
What a cool concept! Protect little meatball man at all costs! I appreciate the little details, like Bill getting slower the more numbers he's carrying, the turret power increasing when you get more correct, or the X appearing in boxes you've already tried numbers in. I will say the X doesn't seem to appear for the multiple possibility tiles, but that's not too bad. Love the little turret helper but it would be nice to have control over shooting the monsters. Waiting to see if a tile will drop or not gets a little tedious sometimes. Also for 'limited space', I expected to only be able to carry a certain number of tiles. Overall clever entry!
This was a very interesting idea. I was confused because I thought I was trying to solve it but later realized I should just guess. I would enjoy it more if you could really solve it. I liked the art and music. Great job!
well polished game . with good art style and music , it's very chill . Just had to check sudoku rules .
I love sudoku so this game was very enjoyable. I do wish that there was more active gameplay when you're outside of the cave rather than just waiting for tiles to drop. it'd be nice if hovering over a number also highlights the same number that's already on the board. Overall this is really polished!
This game is incredibly good.
Awesome game! Got rank B! XD
Dude this is kinda awesome, that music is legit awesome you make that combat screen music? its awesome
i HATE sudoku soo much lol but this actually is kinda a educational game done the right way i guess.. cause it got me WANTING to try to do the sudoku
but .. maybe it needs a difficulty mode select.. what i found myself wanting to do is spend all day Guessing at the sudoku, but i guess i cant cause the darkness in the combat mode will kill you..
does getting a number correct give you more light in the combat mode? .. it should.. maybe in beginner difficulty at least
.. i mean so, i hate sudoku but if i can play this game and keep guessing at it for like hours, then i might come to enjoy sudoku and get better at sudoku and then maybe actually attempt to do paper sudoku.
and if u could attack the dudes yourself and power up and stuff maybe... anyway i hate sudoku so as soon as i died from totally random guessing i had to quit sorry lol but .. so .. the music in the combat mode was sooo cool i had to play it out and forget that i hate sudoku lol i rated it well cause i think its really well done
At first I was overwhelmed by the fact I had to fill a sudoku with so much holes, but I persevere and it was so cool, the powerups when reaching the end are so rewarding and motivating. Rank B, 19:06!
But maybe a tuto would have been nice, I didn't fill sudoku for a long time, and I didn't understand before a long time that the gun bar was linked to my success at filling the sudoku
But well done, love the art, love the music!
I was not expecting this!
I play a decent amount of sudoku so my first instinct here was "wait this isn't solvable..." only to realize the gimmick.
It's a really neat fusion of mechanics. It rewards clever sudoku play and guess work while still being relatively accessible to people less familiar with the genre. Lots of easy knobs to turn for difficulty too.
The graphics are simple but cute and coherent, and the music layering is a nice touch. the fact that this is somehow a compo game is crazy.
Fantastic work, I hope to see more of this some day!
ah man this is awesom! super novel take on the base mechanics of sudoku, really liked the dichotomy of the thinky puzzle mode inbetween hectic tile collection, i wish there was even more to engage with in the latter! getting upgrades for completing rows/3x3s feels super nice and rewarding. also the music is really good. awesome stuff :)
I had to refresh my mind about the rules of sudoku. My first try was a complete failure  And then I managed to get to the end and win in 16:16 with a rank A. It's a real nice take on the sudoku genre. The two sections are really engaging. The graphics is cute and the character is a fun guy to play with. It's really well done!
Really great job on this one. The music stands out here really well, I'm wondering if that was a big focus for you this jam. Your sounds effects have always been awesome, but this time the music was really top notch in my opinion.
