Great use of the light - I was confused at first how to pass the first frog requiring you to switch off light. But then I figured it out and was able to complete it. It's pretty, well done!
Had a lot of fun, and the main mechanic of the light was pretty clever. My main negatives were I couldn't always tell what plants I could fly over and what I couldn't, and that some of the frogs had a pretty long reach. Otherwise it was charming and I played it for maybe 15 minutes.
Really nice entry. I enjoyed the ambiance with the art and the music. I had trouble getting one of the torches to light, to get into the big pond area--I had to die near the torch several times and then try to sprint past the gate from another nest before it closed after I respawned. Then I realized there is sort of a hidden path to get to it to actually light it. Managed to find all 16 but it was not easy. It was a little unclear which areas I could fly over and which I would run into. Could use more nests as checkpoints between areas. Other than that I liked it a lot!
Love it! Very addictive. I got stuck trying to get past a frog, but I want to come back to this one!
Loved the art, the music, and the overall mood. The gameplay also felt very unique. Definitely has a learning curve, but after a few deaths I started to get the hang of it. My biggest struggle was with the controls. I had a hard time doing a, s, & d, so I switched to using the arrow keys + s, but then it was hard to also get the shift key and I kept pushing the wrong button or holding down the wrong one too long. I should note I'm not great a "twitchy" games, and I didn't play for that long, so that might just be me. Even with that I really liked this overall. Nice job!
Really enjoyable game. I felt the need to find all 16 nests. Whether or not a flower opened a path was more subtle than I would have liked, and I would like the game to remember which way I launched from the previous time, but those are super minor quibbles. Excellent!
Thank you all for playing our game!
@comicsans Oh no! We forgot to make nests remember the launch direction. Thanks for reminding us!
@daflamingpotato Seems the darkness is causing trouble. Either for finding the right path or prevent running into obstacles. But some obstacles do mismatch their colliders, and we will fix them in the future.
@wodensfang Yes. Frogs in the large pond have ridiculously long range. Because we want to put no lights on that lake while provide players some obstacles. Other frogs should be of similar ranges.
好玩!死亡没有惩罚而是照亮道路真的不错,但是还是感觉死的略微有点多()在死的时候按着AD会导致换巢有点烦,换巢可以改成WS键
Really beautiful looking game. I love the firefly trails effect. The mood of the game is really nice. I'm not sure if the music 100% suited the vibe but I can see what you were going for and it is probably a personal preference thing. I think you got the difficulty just right! You have, however, given me a lifelong hatred for frogs now. Overall, great job!
So nice very cosy! Enjoyed playing this. Only feedback would be that I was confused on how to pick which nest to spawn at, once i figured that out it was algood
OOOOw i really enjoyed the game. I like the gameplay, it is dynamic. The atmosphere is cozy~~~~ Good job guys
I like the game, it's challenging. It may not be for everyone, but it's good for me. The art is cute, the music is appropriate, the firefly feels alive (in love with it's glow and golden shine!).
It's very hard to play first time, but then as you learn, the gameplay becomes more interesting. The atmosphere is cool too
The game is simply magical! ✨ The atmosphere is mesmerizing, and the idea of lighting up the forest as you progress is genius! 🌲💡 I really liked the mechanics with the frogs - they add a nice challenge. The game has a smooth learning curve, and after a few tries you start to really enjoy the process. The music and visual style create a cozy, almost magical atmosphere. 🎶🐸 Great job, I want to go back and explore further! 🎮
Cool game idea! I liked it! Good job!
I hate frogs. Fun game though. Steering was challenging but enjoyable, especially when paired with the dark environment! I liked pulling dark donuts in front of the frogs faces.
I wish the slowing down mechanic lasted a little bit longer! It could be hard to tell how sharp a turn was going to be or if the frogs were going to get me. Really fun concept and great entry!
This concept is super cool! I really love how cohesive everything is to the theme, from art to music to SFX! There also seems to be a lot of content in the level, which is awesome to see!
The lighting and graphics were really cool. I felt the controls rotated you too much and were hard to control, but overall nice concept and execution. I got about halfway through and decided to call it at that. Great entry!
amazing game! i love how simple it looks at first, but requires you to master your skills as you proceed :) i also enjoyed how failure wasn't actually a failure but the way to progress.
dark mode seemed a bit cheating for me, as without light i could go right through the frogs :D and i didn't use slowing down that much as the other ways to navigate seemed enough. and the atmosphere is so nice! i also found out how the torches work while playing and after that noticed that you mentioned it in the description. it is worth being a surprise imo, cause it gives you this 'aha!' moment :)
the only thing i could wish for is maybe a little hint where to search for the nests that are left as i found 13 of them and was a bit stuck looking for the rest! my favorite game so far, had lots of fun :)
upd - finally found all the nests! That was tough, I even recorded a video with question if path that I was trying to take was intended, but then I finally found hidden passage. Thanks for this game :) Also these nasty frogs have very long tongue.
very beautiful graphics and overall gameplay is interesting. Continue in that soul and you will succeed
I love the atmosphere of this game, the music, spritework, and gameplay all work really well together to create a peaceful setting where you have fun just lighting up the forest and finding nests. Great work!
Really nice zoomin-around game! The controls were nice enough not to get too annoyed with crashing into things. The music is meditative and fitting. Realizing that torches unlock things was a mechanic I only discovered when I read the text of the game page - would have been nice in the game itself!
Zoomed around, got 10 out of 16 spots ~ would Bee again.
I liked the tradeoff between seeing and getting eaten. Very fun, really enjoyed flying around!
Very nice game! I only got 14/16 nests (and I see one of the two missing ones, but I have no clue how to get it, it’s the one next to the torch that closes the wall onto itself, but it also seems locked in). And is there supposed to be another nest in the big pond on the top?
The music fits the atmosphere very nicely, the controls are ok but not the best (in particular the slowing down is very hard to use I think), and it’s sometimes not easy to see where we can and cannot pass.
this music is very calm and fits the game, i didnt expect the be this bad at flying down with the controls inverted x)
I wasn't expecting such a peaceful-looking game to be so challenging, but it's a mix that's definitely very interesting! I really enjoyed how your mechanics, art and theme fit together, it makes a very enjoyable experience (:
Very cozy, but at the same time very intriguing with its unknown game. Cool system with the fact that the player can sacrifice light and not know where it flies, but at the same time hide from the toads. I liked it!
I did it! It was really difficult in two places—first, realizing that I could fly through some grass that looks exactly like the kind you can't fly through, and second, I spent quite a while looking for the last nest up top, which was placed randomly on a lake without any hints or the ability to highlight the location. But overall, it was very beautiful and atmospheric! A thumbs-up for the frogs and fireflies. We love them too :)

Thank you all for playing!
@alexascher Congratulations on clearing the game! Apologize for the first difficulty. We could have make obstacles and their collision boxes more consistent or have more hints for the ones that you can pass through. But for the second one, it is an intensional design where we want players to feel lost without the help of light. There are a few lilypads that points the correct direction but they are also quite difficult to find and to be understood.
This is a really great concept, and executed really well!
there's not much I can say that others haven't already, but I thought the music and art worked well, and the difficulty was pretty well calibrated too.
@brucezoom Oh, by the way, I tried following the direction of the lily pads on the right side of the lake (I came across two in a row several times), but I didn't end up anywhere using that tactic.
And an interesting thing—I first activated the upper-right torch through the wall, and while you're selecting a nest, the light radius becomes slightly larger. So, I ended up on the lake a bit cheekily at first—I managed to fly through while the door was closing. :)
@alexascher Thanks for the feedback! That's definitely a bug. Gonna fix it later. Seems lily pads are still not good enough hints. Those two-in-a-row lily pads points the direction to either next two-in-a-row pads or the goal, the nest. Other single lily pads are pure decorations (maybe we should remove these).
