I enjoyed the time I gave it. I played four times and got up to 24. I like the hillbilly vibe.

Nice art, pretty difficult to drag the ingredients but fun to play :)
Interesting and chaotic. I had some issues picking up ingredients and I kept being unlucky with my shelves filling up with vegetables I don't need, but worked ok otherwise.
Definitely fits the concept and I love me a good kitchen game, but omg MY EARS. I'm not sure if the ingredients are clipping or bouncing against colliders, but whenever they get dropped in the pot, cue bursts of clangs and low frequency bursts. It's simple fun overall but the audio is a bit of a drawback!
@cat-lab yeah, that that was definitely one of the bugs I did not have time to end up fixing. When an object would get stuck in a way that it would keep colliding the sound would play as well. Definitely something I will keep more in mind next time(or maybe to at least turn the sounds down more for objects that have it happen more)
I found it quite hard to drag ingredients around - I probably would have made the hitboxes a little more generous for moving stuff around (maybe even remove hitbox entirely while an object is "in hand"?) The art was cute though!
The art style is kind of oddly charming, and the sounds are very funny, gameplay is simple but I like it!
I liked the game vibe being a chef under pressure and have to handle the different ingredients. It unfortunately feels a bit buggy when sometimes I coudn't drag an igredient or they sometimes were gliching at the pot. But I think this has more potential and throwing stuff around could be a lot of fun.
@manderdander @lee-martin-77 The movement is definitely something I wanted to work on more if I had time. And I really like @brokenbridge suggestion on throwing them instead of dragging. I was thinking about that idea as well. But I didn't have time to try it out, for at that point I would need to rethink what would happen if you missed the pot with your ingredients and how to handle if you got too many of a single ingredient like @powerofsin. Because the idea for players to solve that problem using the garbage can. which would be very unwieldy if you could not just drag your ingredients into it.

21 is the best I managed to get. Really fun. Some issues I found: - At the start of each game, this one piece can't be grabbed at all unless it is pushed over:

- It would be better if the recycling area was way bigger than this so that I don't have to precisely grab and put the stuff inside the bin. Just throwing it out of the shelf to the floor should work and would make it easier to recycle:

- Having some way to know what is already cooking inside the pot would also be helpful since I tend to forget how much and what I already put in.
- After throwing stuff in the pot, they should just disapear instead of being actively colliding inside the pot and making those constant noises.
Good and enjoyable game overall. With a sprinkle of polish here and there this would be some epic stuff. Good job!
@aerial thanks for the detailed feedback. Seems I should've done a bit more testing before the end. I swear that tomato was grabable at some point in the build.(but probably stopped when I changed some small things around).
I really like the other QOL features you have suggested. And the disappearing off the ingredient when in the pot is a really clever idea I didn't think off. And also how I could easily handle basically making a garbage floor. (That was something I was considering if I were to implement a more throwing type of movement, but I wasn't too sure how to easily do it without the ingredients also disappearing in the pot.)
24 was my apex, at that point the orders keep overwhelming me, my fate was sealed when I accidentally threw a tomato into the wrong pot.
Very fun game! Has a nice arcade-like quality to it where you immediately get hooked on the gameplay cycle and want to try again and again to improve your score. Very well-designed, great job!
A really nice idea! A hectic kitchen is always a good setting for a game in my mind, add to that forcing the player to work with limited cooking space and you've got nice arcade'y game. I've had the same bug that aerial has found (with the lower-right vegetable being ungrabbable), and also sometimes when moving quickly my vegetables would get stuck in the cooking pot handles, and I couldn't take them out:

In one such case it got even weirder - I used another vegetable to push the stuck one out, and it got stuck in the vegetable I used to push it out, so I basically had a twin-tomato.
The game felt pretty difficult at first - quite often I found myself lacking the veggies I needed and I lost before new ones arrived. At some point I accidentally figured out the bins aren't just for decoration, and it made it much easier:

I guess that was because the tips screen was visible only once before the game started, and it is a lot of text to take in at once. Having it on a separate screen in-game for reference (i.e. in a pause menu) would be good, but even having it in the main menu would allow the player to re-read them without reloading the entire game.
Overall, it's a pretty good game! It has several simple mechanics which can be quickly understood and it's addictive enough to make you want to try just one more run to do a bit better.
Cool idea, definitely toyed around with a similar concept of "cooking in a small kitchen" when the theme was first announced so nice to see that someone managed to pull it off. Has a really nice arcade-like quality and can definitely be a lot of fun with a bit more polish.
Cool idea, good art, and you made it work ! If you had more time you could have improved the collisions (some vegetables get stucked quite often) and the tinyness of the room (like having to choose the elements that are reachable for the cook and those that will not fit in the room). But for 48h that's fantastic !
I like the take on the theme. I see the players above me scoring way better than me, maybe I misunderstood when to serve the pots. I also got a few games where all the vegetables were stuck and wouldn't move.
I like the concept, but ran into a few bugs. The tomato in lower right seems to be permanently stuck/not an interactable object, and like mentioned above, the collision for the vegetables is quite finicky. I really like the concept you ran for this theme, good job making this in 48 hours!
This is a good concept but I ran into a few issues. For instance, some of the fruit cannot be grabbed at all if they get into some awkward position due to the physics. This makes your demise inevitable. Furthermore, in the later stages of the game the customers will request massive soups and the cooking time of them just can't keep up with the demand, so I found it really difficult to get very far. The audio design is quite good though and the game overall fun to play, good job!
took me a while to realise that I couldnt serve till the bar was red, but once that clocked I had fun with this. Nice work!
I like the concept. If the drag mechanics and art was a bit more improved, the game would feel great all around
Nice game, while basic it really does feel like a game with clear instructions, easy to grasp gameplay and a high score to make it worth while to try again. Like others have said, it really capture the hectic feeling of running a kitchen. Great job!
Not half bad! I see this getting frantic pretty fast, esp. when you're only getting tomatoes but all customers want cucumbers. Arghh :)
As others noted, the collision bugs are tad annoying, but they also never blocked me from going onwards. Just needs a little picture of the boss getting angrier :)
Very mspaint like feeling graphics and overall aesthetic of the game -- I like that though, it has its charm :D. It was fun! The mechanics are simple but also very enjoyable! Good job!
A tiny annoying thing I had happen is that I had a tomato get stuck in the side of a pot, which caused it to also not respawn, but it didn't matter too much :).
