We have some bugs, but they are in the process of being fixed.
its great! such a cute game, as you mentioned there are a little bit of bugs i've found the knife to be a bit finicky but the game is so cute! love it
really like the idea, unfortunately chopping didn't work 90% of the time, could only chop the zuchini after picking up and dropping 100 times. The unique control scheme has massive potential!
Loved the gameplay, it wasn't too difficult to learn the controls to my surprise! I did find a way to infinitely create tomatoes from cucumbers though.
Bonus point for making a control scheme that should work with most keyboards!
I did'nt really understand how to play it though, I could'nt manage to cut anything. The "use/grab" buttons seem to only allows me to grab and drop an object. Not sure if I did'nt understood something or if there's an issue with the game.

Great UI, not sure if the game was bugged out on chopping, but i couldn't make it much further. Shame as the overall product seems very nice. I somehow cut my hand and really liked how getting the bandage and healing up was part of the gameplay.
Cute game:)
The idea and visual part are pretty good. But the problem is that it is almost impossible to cut products and what to do if the keyboard is less than 90%
An interesting game. If some easing were added to the movements, it could become a game with great streaming appeal, similar to QWOP.
Very good presentation, and the mechanics themselves are appropriately chaotic. However, the cutting board doesn't seem to register when you place a new item, so only extra copies of the first item I placed were produced (tomato in my first attempt and cucumber in my second).
Someone else mentioned this too, so I hope that bug can be fixed!
I like the idea! 😊
The idea is pretty cool, unfortunately the controls didn't work for me or at least I wasn't able to cut anything beyond the tomato.
Interesting concept, reminds me of that pixar cartoon , i was able to cut my hands , i think bloody sandwich will go. wanted to mention cool graphics
Very fun idea. love that because Ratatouille is one of my favorite movies!
Fun game couldn't get the knife to work everytime
The idea is cute, but the controls were pretty hard ;_; I liked how the arms moved, lol! Very funny. Action for arrow keys being shift right near them wasn't very convenient imo.
Great idea and visuals AND music, but the controls were very annoying and I was unable to cut anything.
I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong, but I could never bring any vegetables to my cutting board - I managed to pick up the knife, but no matter where I put my hands, they would never pick up any veggies when I tried to grab.
The music, art, and concept of a ratatouille simulator are all great though! :)
Cool game! I liked it.
gread idea and visuals!
Very cozy game! Each arm being controlled differently led to a fun, sometimes hectic experience.
SUCH A CUTE GAME OMG, LOVE TO FEEL LIKE IM CHEF!
I'm so frustrated because I really love your concept (Ratatouille is one of my favourite movies btw) but the gameplay is really hard to me, I did nothing... :'(
Furthermore, nice aesthetic, especially about UI, I found them really smooth !
Requires way too many motor skills for my tiny brain! The concept is cool; - I would have preferred a more symmetric layout for both hands ( awsd + e(pick),q(use) and jikl + u,o ) and c and n to move, for example. - an action key (cut) - Art and music are a perfect match for me being clumsy in the kitchen!
As mentioned in the comment, it seems buggy I could not managed to cut the courgette.
THank you for making and sharing this game!
Loved the idea, the visuals and the music. I just had difficulty to cut products, maybe i was doing it wrong.
Good job! A really fun and unique game. I love games with quirky controls like this one. I wasn't able to complete the orders tho, since all the veggies I sliced simply turned into tomatos ^^. No worries though, it's still a good game!
Great idea but I couldn't get it to work. I kept on cutting a yellow thing regardless of what was on the board.
Controlling the hands is an innovative and fun concept, though it’s definitely challenging! I really liked the idea. The only issue I encountered was a bug where the grip seemed off by a large margin, making it tough to grab the vegetables and knife. Overall, this is a solid entry!
I wish there was a tutorial. Graphics and idea are great. I couldn't figure out how to cut anything but my own hand. Hope you continue to work on this!
Ratatouille !!! Nice and unique idea, well done !
I want such rat to write programs for me, he-he. Nice entry!
Hello everyone, thank you for your comments.)) We are very pleased to read them. We are in the process of eliminating obvious bugs
I love the idea of ratatouille!!!! This is so prettyyy!!!
The controls were very fun I enjoyed the struggle. My first instinct was to shove the knife into the outlet, unfortunately my arms are too short. Very nice cute art and UI as well. I like the cheese buttons
Ratatouile meets cooking mama lol. Super fun game
Nice game, I couldn't really progress much as I couldn't cut anything with the knife. I like the control scheme just using the keyboard really felt like I was a mouse controlling a person!
I had no problems cutting stuff with the knife, to include myself... lol But I couldn't figure out what some of the icons in the recipe meant, so I couldn't get very far. Enjoyed the game and the unique controls. Wow, the customers tip well :P
Love the concept and the music, but the only thing I managed to cut somehow was my own hand... not unlike my personal cooking skills! Would love to try again after bug fixes!
Fun game, would recommend
Ohhhhhhhhh, the control is truly awful! But I think the Ik of the arms has some bugs. I usually can't move it freely. Maybe it's a intended design?
@mrs-wheelsx , @cat-lab , @aentro We are working to fix the bugs. There is a problem of cutting vegetables (if you cut one vegetable, then the last one will appear when cutting another vegetable) and at the moment these defects are being corrected. There will be a Fix Update soon, which I hope will fix all the bugs. Thanks for the comment)
I like the concept and the controls feel pretty good in game (I'd tweak the keybindings but that is personal preference, and I'd make grabbing a held action instead of toggled). The art is cute and the music is charming. The only problems are that the kitchen seems to missing all of its chili peppers, and there are a number of bugs in the game. One time I couldn't cut anything after going to a different tab and back, another I was somehow cutting without holding the knife, and another I cut a bell pepper but got back another slice of the tomato I previously cut. While the bugs tank the replay value of the jam version, I'd absolutely come back to play an improved and expanded version of the game. In fact, I'm almost tempted to make my own game with the same controls, just different theming, if you wouldn't mind.
I think the concept could definitely be expanded to a bigger game, it mainly just needs more polish and more interactions with things. I see the rat holes, what if you could interact with them? Maybe you have multiple appliances and need to juggle a lone power outlet. If you mess up a soup you should be able to dump it out somewhere. The list goes on.
For controls I'd either make the number pad be 8-way movement instead of just the four arrow key equivalents, or make 7 and 9 move you side to side like q and e.
@darkwolf In fact, mice should appear from the rat hole, which in turn gnaw the wire next to the hole and the player should fix it with electrical tape. All these functions worked, but unfortunately in the version for Jam, something went wrong (The programmers are working on it.
i love the idea, i really like cooking game this goes so well with ratatouille and the theme
I like this game concept a lot, reminds me of drink more glurp. Sadly, I was unable to cut more than one vegetable, my knife stopped working. Still very cute and I enjoyed waving my little arms around.
Nice game, good idea and inspiration. Some bugs but nice job !
Really unique idea and great execution. I imagine that this is what would happen if Ratatouille merged with getting over it. xD It was really fun to play, felt really polished and the attention to detail was amazing. Only problem I had was the usage of knife, but that might be just a skill issue.
This game has a really cool idea behind it. I think controlling both arms with two hands on the keyboard is really cool and something I haven't really seen before.
As a lot of people are saying, I had a lot of trouble cutting things - I was able to cut a tomato but from then on I couldn't cut anything else. An action key would definitely help this, though it could be hard with the control scheme already quite confusing.
I really liked the art and the Ik on the arms, it works really well and is quite fun to watch as you move your arms about. The music was also quite pleasant and fit the game nicely.
Well done with this submission! I'll come back and check it out once it's fixed up!
Bugs, but i really like it. Good luck!
@vindicta We are working on a fix, thanks for the comment)
I really love your graphics. Great vibe and atmosphere. Excellent work!
The controls are killing me, but it is generally fun to play this game. Love the art and the overall mood. It would probably be an awesome game for streamers since the reaction of anyone trying to control both hands simultaneously would also be fun to watch.
QWOP meets a cooking simulartor game? Amazing, this is such an inventive idea! Wow!
Hi everyone! Thank you for every comment ;) It is very important for us to hear your opinion and feedback.
photo_2024-10-09 19.27.20.jpeg Hilarious concept, guys! I ran into a funny bug where after slicing the cucumber, I couldn’t slice the tomato—it kept turning into a cucumber instead
Great concept, had a lot of frustration and fun at the same time while playing it! <3
Cool 😎
very cute. love the art and music. the gameplay is pretty fun although buggy. with more polish this could be a great and successful game honestly. great work!
W idea 😆
I'm too dumb for it :D I could cut the cucumber but not the tomato or bell pepper. Nice idea and reference to ratatouille.
Very cool game. Lost track of time playing it. 10/10
Very cool little game. One of the neatest ideas and honestly wonderful inspiration to take. However for some reason I wasn't able to cut very much after a little bit. Wondering if it's a bug or if I'm doing something wrong. Nevertheless, scrolled through a bunch of little characters and thought the designs were funny. Nice job!
Good idea ,but sometimes I couldn't cutting vegetables.
Hi fellow cooking enthusiast ^^ I liked the idea of a cooking game with QWOP-like controls, and the art-style is nice. Sadly, as others pointed out, I had trouble with cutting things so I couldn't get very far. Nice idea still, could be great with a little polish; keep up the good work !
The game has a lot of bugs, I couldn't cut vegetables and take orders, but the idea of the gameplay is very cool, I first encountered this and it was very interesting for me to play. The graphics look funny, suitable for a cute and fun game. The UI is very cool, I liked that it was clearly explained which buttons to press. Thank you for the game, I hope you can finish it
bravo!
Ah Ratatouille the game. Tres bien. I like the simple art and the chill music. However, the controls were awkward, perhaps intentionally so. When I clicked on the control option, I felt a little overwhelmed. Mostly cos I don't have a full size keyboard (didn't matter in the end). Having the interact button for the right hand be R.shift is weird. Still, managed to chop up some tomatoes and cucumbers. Could not figure out how to chop up a pepper (maybe a bug?).
A cute BennetFoddy-like concept, but unfortunately the game barely worked after the first tomato. And goddamn if I didn't try to chop that one zucchini with all my heart. (jk hope you'll manage to fix it all soon)
Such a great game with nice UI, I liked it! Good luck
haha we also had this idea about little chef. I am very glad that you decided to go with it. The game is smooth and polished, exciting gameplay and cool mechanics with playing for both hands. I also had some problems with cutting, but it's nothing comparing to what you have achieved. Amazing work, congratulations!
I use a 60% Keyboard without arrow or num keys, so the controls were even more akwward than usual maybe ijkl could be added as ab option?.
Like manys others, I was never cutting one item I was never able to cut a second one. If I cut the cucumber first I couldn't cut the tomato and vice versa.
I hope you'll fix these issues soon, because other than that it was a great entry!
The controls to this game were a bit odd, I found myself only ever using the left hand as it was more of a chore to try using both. I also found it very hard to actually cut things with the knife, I just moved it around a little bit at a time until I finally could cut the food. However I really enjoyed the visuals of this game, the art and UI were very clean and nice to look at.
Guys! We need a version where the cutting works! I really want to play this cute game. Maybe a non-web version would be more stable? I really like the idea, I was waiting for someone to make a Ratatouille game! The music and art are great, I also have a weakness for timed cooking simulators, so I will wait for the update :)
Very cool !
Great concept. Like many before me, I couldn't figure out how to use the knife though :(
I'm afraid I'm like the others, the game seems really fun, a QWOP like Ratatouille but I can't manage to cut :/ I achieved ONCE to cut a cucumber and was kinda happy but then couldn't cut the tomatoe :/ so overall I like the mood, the ratatouille reference, the graphics, and the IDEA of the gameplay but I canno't really test it sorry !
C'était une nourriture extraordinaire ! Je suis prêt à vous donner toutes les étoiles Michelin !
Nice game,very interesting plot!!!!Nice job!!!!
oooh we almost went for the same concept !!
Group 1 (2) (1) (1).png
Group 2 (1).png
1. Fixed a bug with the board, now it is possible to chop all kinds of vegetables that are still available. 2. Fixed a bug with orders, now after the delivery of the order, the old plate / bowl is successfully deleted. 3. Fixed a bug with the appearance of a mouse, now the player on the stage will be disturbed by the mouse (so far only visually). 4. Added decor to the order scene (the designer can finally celebrate). 5. Added a trash can that removes unnecessary vegetables. 6. The chance of getting cut was slightly reduced. 7. POTATOES WERE ADDED.
This was our first experience in developing such a project and I hope everyone enjoyed it.
You can also try the new version of the game and write comments about new bugs :) Thank you all for your attention. Component 221 (1).png
Loved this, I felt like the mouse with the difficult controls. Really entertaining!
Really fun game, could quite grasp why I didn't have all the ingredient at my disposal, but it was fun nonetheless.
Keep the good work
Nice idea! the controls are quite challanging!
awesome idea, but I couldn't find some ingredients and I didn't get how exacly the knife works. A litle tutorial would be nice, but still it has nice gameplay. Brilliant work!
The game's concept appealed to me straight away, but unfortunately I was quickly frustrated by the controls (which were numerous and not easy to master). The graphics and music are perfect for putting us in a ‘Ratatouille’ atmosphere, and I would have liked to have had more patience to master the movements of my human puppet :) Great idea though!
I see a mouse, I see cooking - I love Ratatouille so automatic bonus points but the controls were quite hard to master
Adorable game concept, controls are a little finnicky, but I love ratatouille too much to judge it harshly. lol
RATATOILLE 10/10 not even gonna question it (Controlling each hand separately is genius, gameplay wise is a brilliant way to put the player in the mayhem the little rat chef is dealing with controlling their human)
This is a super cute little game! I know rebinding controls is a bit out of scope for most jam games, but I will note that I found it really hard to control on my split keyboard, but I really enjoyed the concept! I thought it was funny that you could just give someone an empty plate of food and go to the next person. I also struggled a bit to find the right ingredients at times. That said, the presentation and music are great, and the core mechanics have a lot of potential. Very cool!!
