Good !!!!

Amazing art, smooth gameplay, really nice to play 10/10 :)

catasha27 2023-10-02 15:33

So cute characters!!! love the graphics and mechanics of the game... it would be nice to have some audio too to complete the experience! Nice job

CONGRATS ON YOUR FIRST PLACE FOR GRAPHICS!!! SO VERY MUCH DESERVED!!!

doot 2023-10-02 17:53

OMG this art, this is so impressive for a compo game ✨

The game concept of choosing what to keep in your inventory works well, even if some of it could be better explained. The lack of music or sounds is a bit sad but hey, it's compo!

Overall, nice game with absolutely crazy good art, well done!

jcmonkey 2023-10-02 19:37

this was quite the enjoyable game to play, ofcourse the art being good goes without saying. having to choose what items to take was fun in this game compared to some of the others. so you did the theme some justice.

cat-lab 2023-10-02 21:41

Very cute game and graphics! The art and physics are fantastic! I enjoyed the concept of trying different combinations of items to get it just right. It was a bit hard to know how much space to save in the backpack before trying the levels but it makes the theme hit extra hard. And as an audio gal, I would love to play it with sound effects and music! Amazing solo entry overall!

manabreak 2023-10-03 13:25

Top notch graphics! I actually had a similar idea originally about a backpack / inventory that only can fit a certain amount of items, glad to see someone actually doing it. :)

I don't know if there were any audio, at least didn't hear any...

kenevil1 2023-10-03 17:01

Art style is just incredibly good, really like the look of the game. The mechanics were fun, no audio seemed a bit out of place but besides from that super good!

tasakasama 2023-10-03 21:41

the art is really impressive, congratulations to you

gastricsparrow 2023-10-04 01:35

Everyone has gushed about your professional looking art, and for good reason. I also love the visual clarity and how much it all pops. It's easy to "get" the game and I can tell you prioritised player comfort. For the gripes, which are minor, I just wish there was more indication of what the next fight was, and I also was missing more interaction / synergies between the items. But that says more about how solid this game was that those are the worst things I can say; they can be for the next iterations. Overall a fantastic job!

rubatotree 2023-10-04 10:07

OMG this art finished in 48 hours...Amazing.

I hope one day I can also draw so well and so fast:(

decentsauce 2023-10-04 20:03

Really nice game! I like how you can choose your starting loadout. I do think that a little more time on audio and less on the graphics would have made for an overall better entry but that doesn't take away from the fact that this is an amazing compo entry.

Game is pretty basic, but the art style and punchy comments from the enemies? Those kept me playing over and over

It's a polished game with very cute art style. Well done!

magalix 2023-10-07 08:29

Good art style ! A bit blurry in fullscreen though !

Liked the gameplay too.

Sometimes a little hard to put objects in the bag because you need to put the mouse cursor inside and not the actual object, and it wasn't always at the same position

aune 2023-10-07 08:40

Very, very lovely game, the graphics are adorable the level of quality and quantity of assets really impressive!

The gameplay is a good idea. I would just say that it's a tad repetitive between levels once you find a working setting, you tend to stick with it, haha. Some even more precious items could have appeared along the way.

C'est vraiment top bravo  :flag_fr:

nilan 2023-10-07 08:54

The art is outstanding, I almost forgot that it was made in just 48 hours.

The gameplay is simple, but it still requires some thinking to strategize with your combat items and maintain a balance with the loot.

This game is really cute, well done!

kasmilus 2023-10-07 09:27

It looks really, really good! Gameplay is okay - I found it too random (but I never play games like this really). The first fight I nearly lost missing first 5 or so attacks with my 80% acc weapon... And then the last one I luckily won with a hit which probably shouldn't happen. It's a nice use of the theme and humour is really great. It's a shame there's no sound or music. I know many people are afraid to make something, but no matter how bad your sound will be, it's MUCH better than silence.

archaeognathus 2023-10-07 09:28

Very nice and polished art style and menus and a cute story?! Amazing what you managed in 48 hours :)

pepnou 2023-10-07 09:35

The art is awesome & the game feels polished. Zero sound is sad for a game but 48h is short. Nice entry.

denzel 2023-10-07 09:54

Oh my god the art is exquisite! and the objects are really funny!

maste 2023-10-07 10:32

This art work is absolutely amazing! Hahaha felt like I was back in the days of Diablo 1 desperately trying to figure out what to take back in my pack and what to leave. Amazing job - really great game!

apophatique 2023-10-07 11:06

Obviously, a few sound effects or sound tracks would have added to the overall ambience of the game, which already benefits from very elaborate graphics. But traversing this small world from dungeon to dungeon, from room to room, is a most enjoyable experience, bravo :D

tanis 2023-10-07 14:06

Simple game with awesome art. The setting is super fun with the toilet stuff and all those little gems. It would have been nice to have some music and sound effects. Overall you did a good job!

0x746564 2023-10-07 14:12

Concept was interesting. Graphics are really well done. As others have mentioned, having some audio would have been nice, but I understand the challenge it presents in a jam.

Because the two columns of items overlapped, I sometimes clicked the wrong thing, although increasing the scale of the items when hovering did help.

Adding more variety of items would also have helped. Once I figured out the best load-out, I just did the same thing every run.

smiley405 2023-10-07 19:20

I just came here for the art ad it delivered that. The gameplay is really straight forward. good take on the turn based game. enjoyed it. Is the sound/music missing or is it just my browser ?

papaver 2023-10-07 19:38

Awesome graphics!

I liked the different funny items to choose from.

Gameplay was ok, it got a bit repetitive, all the levels were practically the same. I also sometimes had a problem with the slightly overlapping columns, resulting in some misclicks.

I'd prefer if the dialogue was a bit quicker, or that I didn't have to wait for it/click it away before continuing.

Overall, well done!

oscar-berry 2023-10-07 22:53

Very nice game!! I'm very impatient to try the nexts missions! :) But, where is the sound?? :'(

t90 2023-10-08 01:46

Very nice game, amazing artwork and indeed very limited space  Incredible for a compo!

100th-coin 2023-10-12 16:59

The artwork is incredible! The backgrounds, the characters, the items, everything looks very impressive. I could probably fill multiple paragraphs talking about the tiniest of details that I noticed, but I think I should provide some more critical feedback.

The gameplay is a bit bland. I like the limited inventory (and having to swap items out for the objective) but the core of the game, the turn based combat, doesn't really innovate on the formula. Having some randomness (like weapons that deal damage within a range, or the chance to miss) is nice, but I can't help but compare it to another turn based game such as Paper Mario, where damage dealt is skill based with "action commands" and timing. Speaking of Paper Mario, take a look at that game's badge system. I also found some similarities in "divvying up badge-points" to your game's inventory system, and I wonder how giving each item a "weight" could change things, instead of them all taking up exactly 1 slot.

That being said, I admire the ambition! It looks like you had plans for 3 whole missions, and I absolutely respect the scope of this game. I completely understand if you ran out of time, though having music and sounds would make this game so much better. Imagine a little "Ah!" from the goblin taking damage, or the vampire going "Blehhh!!" while attacking. Or little blips and bloops while selecting items.

Anyway, this game absolutely has the best artwork of any compo game I've seen, and I think there's absolutely potential if you plan to expand on it. Great work.

agraffs 2023-10-16 11:25

A really really good game ! The objects and monsters were original. Liked all of it, especially the graphics. Very well done ! The entry is really solid !

david-mason 2023-10-16 22:05

Very nice art, and neat idea

digital-bacon 2023-10-17 11:02
