Gameplay is really simple yet satisfying. I like that game.

Great game but extremely easy! Should be harder :)
Awesome game! Art style is really nice, I enjoyed puzzles. You nailed that theme :)
OMFG, THAT'S PURR-FECT. Funniest entry so far!
A little bit too easy but it's really neat game. Awesome idea, there should be more levels! :)
OMFG, THAT'S PERFECT :D Love that game, description is even better ^^ Just that colors make it hard to look at it but fun is incredible!
I have no idea how to craft something but concept of crafting weapons from food looks promising! Game looks really good :)
Null reference exception :D Game is great, fun to play, amusing weapons.
Best game so far(but I didn't play many :P). I'm pretty sure it can be totally badass game if you will finish it! Art is fine, animations are great! Caught myself dancing for few minutes(left, right, jump), it looks so cute :D
What a game! Hilarious, innovative, polished. I just had to choose the same weapon few times in a row, you could have done something to prevent that. Also music and graphics set up perfect mood!
It's too obvious what you should pick but I like the idea. With some improvements it would be an awesome entry! Graphics are neat, lovely style.
Incredibly fabulous horse!
Nice mood. Thought I will give up after dying a lot in the beginning but after some time it's getting easier. Good game :)
Controls and weird way shooting works kinda spoil the experience of really pleasant game. I fell of those damn stairs like over 1000 times. Some checkpoints would be nice too, I was determined to finish the game but after 10 minutes of playing I fell into that green thing, died and... respawned in the very beginning? :(
Brilliant game!

:D
I couldn't see whole screen and it was hard to understand what gives you points and what makes you lose at the beginning but later it was nice to play. With some improvements it could be really addictive game but now it is really easy. Also you can ignore that large ball and just collect points with LMB, it's even easier then.
PS. and what's the weapon here? :P
Sadly I have no one to play with :( But it looks nice, I love that announcer voice :D
Pigs should appear faster and there should be more of them. Pigpocalypse! Nice game, I like that humor :D
Music adds great action feeling to it :D Controls are somewhat clumsy and it looks more like unconventional warrior, not weapon :D Overall it just lacks some polish I think. Fun game though :)
Incredibly well designed levels. Played through whole game even though i'm not a fan of puzzle games. Sadly I can't see connection with jam theme? :(
I read "In each chocolate, scream in your window, I like you" and I'm like "Maaan, that's genius!", and then you tell me these are generated randomly!? Great game, awesome idea. Just didn't like controls, playing on keyboard and then switching for mouse to pick up that poetry is uncomfortable.
Good game but after awhile, when I read all descriptions, I was just using random actions. It doesn't look like there's big difference between them.
You almost managed to crash my comp with that web version! :D But it worked on windows. Nice game!
Great game, I would play more if screen would move smoothly. Now, after 10 minutes my eyes hurt :D
Nice graphics, enjoyable gameplay. I like it :)
I won in something about 20 secs just by running forward. Not sure if that's a bug or you actually can run that fast ;D I love that art style, very pretty game!
I like that graphics, enemies are funny, that game have really good feeling. Restart should be faster, so after death you could jump right into the game again.
I tried restarting few times to get another weapons but every single one was hard to use or even useless, looks like the game would be great fun with planned placement of weapons. I like graphics and sounds also world seems to be really big, impressive for a game made in just 3 days!
It kinda lacks the goal but I enjoyed it for surprisingly long time :D Also love graphics and mood!
I had great fun playing it, nice work! It would be better to see all things at once. Opening one window shouldn't cover everything else. It's like a game about multitasking that's not allowing you to do more than one task at once... :D
Really cool game! Enjoyed it a lot after getting used to controls. It would be better with jump on space and grab on shift (or best with both, that and mouse controls) - I just kept failing in the beginning after pressing space or mixing up left and right buttons. Final "boss battle" was really cool and that enemy cat sprite - very realistic!
Brilliant idea, really clever use of the theme but I think the execution is lacking. Often I knew what I wanted to do but I had to try over and over because it required a lot of precision (e.g. the first level with spikes, trying to jump to the other side of the box without moving the dashed line was reeaally annoying). Art style is nice and animations are really cool, I wish there was music.
With driving feeling so good, it should have been a racing game!
It's a fun game and it looks good! The controls are quite hard to get used to, I kept pressing the drop button accidentally all the time...
One of the most fun games I played so far. Finished with 1HP only so it was quite intense! Sometimes I was trying to make the wall "go BOOM" and instead I placed a new one, causing me to lose a few health points, which was mildly annoying... Sound and art are superb. Really nice game!
It is a great concept. Clever and original. But I feel like two things make it into something worse than it could have been: "artificial" difficulty and level design. Difficulty mainly comes from having to press spacebar at the right time and without being in the air when eating - I feel like there should be some leeway in how that works, it was quite frustrating when it looked like it should have worked but I actually died because I was few pixels off still... (try googling online how platformers will often let you jump even when technically you've already fallen of the platform - that's the kind of thing you need here but for your unique mechanic). Level design - I think it could be an amazing puzzle game. You made it into more of a quick action platformer, which is fine but I just feel like this "growing when there's space" is begging for a thinky game! Graphics and audio are solid and fit the game very well, it's a nice little game :)
Lovely game, very comfy. Art style, music, gameplay - everything fits together really well. I guess it's not entirely clear how to do better in this game. That in turn doesn't encourage trying again. I enjoyed it a lot though, one of the better games I played :)
Scored 880 - I hope that's a lot! :D Artwork is absolutely fantastic and the game itself is very fun. Could have been a bit faster and it really needs some music but overall, it's a very good entry!
Controls are great, really tight, with good feedback, I love sounds and music here. I found it waaay to hard - impossible to finish (if I ignored the ball completely then maybe?) And having to restart so may times, even that short death animation felt too long and annoying. It really is a great game though, good job!
Very addictive, I enjoyed it! There are a few issues, it would feel much nicer with some more polish (although the old-school aesthetic is quite nice too...). It's really hard to quickly change directions which was annoying but I still felt like I want to replay again and again so clearly there something amazing in there :)
Scored 5378!
Lovely game, really enjoyed it. Would definitely pay for a full game like this - reminds me of games like dorfromantik. The only real downside is how luck-based it feels. It probably needs some tuning in that area but it's a really neat game.
Really good graphics (animation, colours, background, everything is really sweet!), good sound, I enjoyed the squishiness of the death sound, music is cool and fits perfectly. Core gameplay idea is nice, I like it, I enjoyed the general feel of how the character controls but I have two complaints. One is camera - I'm not sure what exactly it is, maybe it's too responsive, maybe too floaty, it just didn't feel right. I guess it would be better to have a small rectangle in the middle of the screen where your character can be without the camera moving at all, not sure, would need to try it but it was a little bit off. Second and bigger issue is with how precise the game requires me to be. It might be a personal preference and some people prefer it the way it is now, but too me it just doesn't feel like I can master controls here. The character starts falling too quickly, I was hoping I would be able to slow down a bit more in those black spaces but it requires me to jump in with a very small velocity otherwise I'm always falling off the other side. I felt like I just wasn't getting better at all as I was playing. With platformers like celeste I felt the difficulty was huge at times but I was always able to master that and improve, here it was mostly frustrating as the velocity was going up really quickly and not slowing down fast enough. I appreciate the way levels progress, it's well thought-out.
Cool game overall, but not as good as it could have been with some minor tweaks :)
Really tasty artwork, sweet, sweet audio and well polished gameplay. I wish levels were designed a bit better. I feel like new concepts are introduced too quickly, before earlier ideas are fully explored. Two levels I found to be quite tricky to solve, otherwise it was pretty easy but that's not an issue, the game is really fun!
Now that is a funny game! Really liked it and combat was fun (except multiple birds at once, hate them). I guess my only criticism is in checkpoint placement (having to go through a long level again when you die at the very end - not fun) and the art is a bit inconsistent (different artstyles mixed together, each on their own looks good, but it's a bit jarring seeing that mix).
And that poem... 10/10
Really interesting game, I enjoyed it. I wish there was some short period of time after clicking where input wouldn't be accepted. I think I accidentally double clicked to let in someone I didn't want to (poor grandpa passed away soon after anyways!) Alternatively the option to make them wait could be the first one.
Neat game! Enjoyed it, failed on wave 18 but it was fun while it lasted. I guess it has a few issues - it feels like I have too little control over what's happening (main reason why I didn't retry it), my units AI is a bit silly... there were rounds where my warriors spent more time changing targets than actually fighting, few times I was really close to losing where it felt like it's because of the simple AI, which is not a good feeling. But the core idea is strong, graphics, sound, mood are great. Everything fits together very well. It just needs another few iterations/gameplay testing and I can see it becoming a really addictive game. Keep up the good work :)
Great quality game. Very well polished, really nice gameplay, it feels good to shoot (although the upgraded weapons is not as cool), movement is a bit floaty but not annoying, it looks good (although all those effects were a bit hard on the eyes, especially after playing for a while), it sounds good, it is good! And it was pretty funny :)
Really sweet idea. Clever game, well made, with good graphics and amazing music. The level design could be a bit better I guess. I feel like the game could be more puzzly but currently the puzzle is a bit too easy (though it's not about difficulty itself, so rather, no new ideas are squeezed out of the core gameplay) and platforming element is not exactly there either. Feels like this game is not sure what it wants to be. With a bit more focus, this would be one of my favourites this LD I'm sure, the way it's now, it's just really freakin' good
Great game, had a lot of fun with it! The more fireflies you have the more fun it gets, so it's a bit of an issue how long it takes to get that second fly... It feels a bit too hard because of that, often I died before getting there.
Nice little game! I really like the art style and music (the melody is really nice but something about that high-pitched sound was a little annoying. Maybe that's just me, my baby was crying a lot this evening, every sound is annoying now  ). The gameplay is fun but gets a little repetitive quickly, I felt like there was no real challenge - I fell into a wall once in the beginning to check if it's going to instantly restart or if I have some extra chances and that's it. Maybe the screen could start moving faster with each food you grab? Anyways, cool game, I like it :)
Cute artwork, and fun gameplay, although it was getting a bit samey after few minutes. There are some bugs as well - I lost 2 lives even though I was standing in the correct place. Had a lot of fun with this. And the title is pretty funny :)
Great game, one of my favourites so far! Really good art and music, the core idea is strong and well expanded upon with each new level. My only complaint would be that there's not enough levels (or not enough hard levels). I'm really not playing puzzle games usually and I still found it pretty easy. One more involved level before introducing a new concept would make it a perfect jam entry for me!
I don't get it why sometimes I'm losing. It seems that it fits but somehow it not sits... :( But it's a clever idea and I had fun with it, cool game :)
FABULOUS game! Great artwork, great music, great gameplay. I enjoyed it a lot, really clever design, quite innovative, time limit made it very exciting and somewhat different than what you'd think that type of gameplay should be... but it fits very well! At the same time it's very discouraging from trying again. How many times will you have to replay first 30 waves before getting to the tricky bit to finally figure it out? I gave up after two... Maybe separating it into stages where each new stage adds another idea would help? And if you fail, you go to the beginning of the stage (stages having few levels with just one new concept introduced). This way you'd still have to think quickly, it would preserve that core idea of the game but it would allow you to actually retry the interesting bit instead of having to go through the whole thing.
Anyways, it's really good game :)
Really nice game, music is absolutely STUNNING! Great job on that, Artwork is good too. Puzzles themselves were quite nice but after the introduction of witches it got a bit fuzzy for me. I felt like I kinda have idea what are the rules but wasn't exactly sure (and I guess it shows, couldn't finish level 14). You did a pretty good job at introducing each character but I guess it wasn't good enough for a dum-dum like me :)
ss.PNG It's a bit too easy but quite fun!
Very neat game. It's calm and relaxing (which admittedly, seems to be at odds with the "limited space" idea). It must be one of the best looking games in this jam (although the UI seems a bit generic). I'd love to see more buildings and maybe even some interaction between them (e.g. trees working better when close to each other). It felt a bit strange to increase happiness a ton by placing 6 radio towers right next to each other... But at this point I might be asking for a full-featured game here  It's a cool game, I enjoyed it a lot!
Great little game. Very cute (especially sounds!). Gameplay is fun, I like the tension between where you want to shoot vs how you have to pull your guy to the other side first, makes for quite interesting gameplay. It needs a score at the end, points for combos etc? For some added replay value :)
That dog sure looks angry...
Really nice game. It's simple enough without being boring, I actually felt like I'm refining my "strategy" as I was progressing. Would be nice to see some variety in enemies but it's definitely fun the way it is! One suggestion from me would be to show enemy HP above them, would allow to prioritise them easily when there's a crowd.
corr.PNG
It's always good when there's some sort of score or time at the end, gives you a reason to try again... :)
Amazing lighting, great sound design, good graphics (although the animation, while good, just wasn't of the same quality as everything else which was jarring. It would have been a perfectly fine animation if lighting wasn't of so high quality). I really like that rim light on the cat. Gameplay was ok - it required a bit too many super precise jumps which kind of kills the fun - I wasn't able to finish the game. Level with the bucket was just too frustrating (although I suspect it might have been a bug? I was just flying through that second platform, instead of attaching to it). Really solid entry, good job!
Aaargh died on the very last enemy, so close! Really fun game, I enjoyed it a lot! Art is good, really clever use of the theme. Visually it's a bit unclear what buildings do or what certain images represent - it takes some time to get used to visual design (it looks good but isn't as functional). It would be nice to have the ability to remove or move buildings around (although I guess it could be a deliberate limitation).
It's fun! Camera angle was a bit annoying and music loop is way to short but figuring out how to win was a good challenge and I have to admit, I laughed at the final message :)
I like the overall tone. Good mood, artwork fits very well. Controls are quite good, I enjoyed moving around but I absolutely hated trying to be precise with it. Usually games like this are pretty frustrating. But it was quite fun to move around at full speed so my favourite parts were going out when I could go crazy (or going in with full speed and losing immediately :)
Cool idea, I enjoyed it in the beginning (first 10 ships or so), then I realised it's a bit too easy, it took me about 5/6 ships of picking people completely at random to lose. So the difficulty curve probably needs some work to keep it engaging but I had fun with it :)
It looks really, really good! Gameplay is okay - I found it too random (but I never play games like this really). The first fight I nearly lost missing first 5 or so attacks with my 80% acc weapon... And then the last one I luckily won with a hit which probably shouldn't happen. It's a nice use of the theme and humour is really great. It's a shame there's no sound or music. I know many people are afraid to make something, but no matter how bad your sound will be, it's MUCH better than silence.
Pretty neat game. It's a bit unclear how exactly attacking/movement works but I enjoyed playing around with it.
The font is a bit hard to read (which is annoying in a text-based game...) but I had a lot of fun with it! I'd love to play a full game of this. I guess it would need to give player a bit more agency, things felt a bit random at times but I was curious "what's next?" all the time. Brilliant game.
It's a very clever idea, I like it a lot! It's a bit unclear at first, had to read the in-game tutorial, play the game, read your comments here and only then I got it... but it's nice once you understand it. There are some bugs with the UI on full screen (might be because of my ultrawide monitor). I really like the aesthetics here, sound design fits perfectly - really good stuff.
It's a pretty addictive game. Core idea is quite nice but I feel like the design is not really focused - there's a lot of elements here (various upgrades, survivors, combat) but they don't always work together in the most exciting way. Not sure how that could be improved, maybe keeping survivors between runs and allowing players to upgrade them directly? Anyways, art style is really nice and I liked the combat (especially if I found some decent survivors). btw. with a truck like that you HAVE TO give us ability to cut down trees! First thing I tried and it didn't work! :)
It's an interesting idea but trying to find solution feels more like work than fun - but that might just be a me problem, I don't play puzzle games much. I really like the music and voice overs! Together with that art style it makes a very good atmosphere.
Clever idea but it feels very gimmicky - sadly, browser windows are not naturally built to be resized constantly like that! Every time I tried to grab the edge I would accidentally grab attention of another window or when releasing the button, it would snap to the edge of my screen, killing everything immediately. It's not exactly a pleasant experience. I feel like it would be much nicer to simulate a window like that in your regular WebGL app. I really like the humour and I really hate how many people avoid making music for their games! Any music, no matter how bad, is better than silence!
I guess it sounds quite negative but I really think it's a neat idea and could be a pretty fun experience if not for the fact that I wasn't really able to control it at all
Really fun, good looking graphics and the core idea itself is pretty sweet but there was something wrong about how it controls. Maybe the line you drag should snap on to your cube? Trying to figure out where the cube is vs where I clicked vs where I want it to go was a bit confusing.
Two problems: it needs some checkpoints, I didn't finish it because it felt frustrating to retrace all my progress over and over after getting killed later on in the level; jump is quite nice but it feels a bit floaty, more gravity in the second part (when you stop holding jump button) would make it feel better I'm sure.
Other than that it's a really nice entry! I enjoyed shooting and jumping, interesting and varied enemies, music is really good and artwork fits the game very well. Good job!
I can't say I understand how physics work in this game (as in, I have no clue what I did different when I won vs when I lost...) but the game was fun anyways. Artwork is amazing, it's a great style and music is cool!
Great art and music but I have no clue how to play this game :( And it's hard to figure out because every time I lose I have to go through the whole intro sequence again... There's way more zombies than graves - do I have to rush to the end as quickly as possible, spamming E along the way?
Really hard to understand at first, I can see how most people would give up before getting the point of this game. It's actually quite engaging once you understand how it works but there are some issues. Mainly the randomness and no indicators where you should go. It would be nice if you had an indicator or if some passages were blocked in the beginning, forcing you to remember where to go later on when time is low (there is a little bit of that with those red zones but after unlocking them, I was just jumping from spot to spot hoping to find something). The pressure to find the path quickly and come back on time was good. I think there's a bug, in the end my score was always showing "....." instead of numbers.
And it needs music. Even if bad, games with no music feel really lifeless.
Really beautiful game, some strong celeste vibes here. Sound design is really cool and gameplay is solid. Difficulty wasn't really changing throughout the game, I stopped after 10 minutes as I felt the game didn't have anything else to offer at this point but it was really fun 10 minutes. One of the more polished games I've seen this jam. Add some weapons, more interesting enemies and you've got a game you can sell. (I'd personally add some varied levels as well, not a huge fan of endless shooters but hey, it works the way it is...).
Really good game. With some more variety in upgrades, enemies, content in general, I can see this being something I could pay a few $ to play with in an evening or two. It is quite fun and addictive but a little too easy - doesn't feel like there's a reason to replay it after finishing it. I'd make the difficulty slightly different (adaptable perhaps? So you're always on the edge of being killed) and scoring a bit clearer (right now, even with that end screen showing numbers, I have no clue what should I do differently to get a better score, so I don't feel motivated to retry). That's just nit-picking though. Really good game, I enjoyed it a lot.
Lovely game, I was smiling the whole time playing it. Music fits perfectly, art style is great and some of those characters are just fantastic. Sometimes I was getting too many of the same type of train in a row (especially annoying at the very end with full trains!) but otherwise it's great.
That's just too funny, great job! Really cool idea, fantastic game. I wish there was music. People, make music for your games! Especially a game like this, you need some silly music!
The way that frog moves is fantastic, I loved it! Didn't enjoy how the levels are made though, those spikes were just freakin annoying. At least give me some more checkpoints! I couldn't finish it, just too hard for me, in a frustrating way. Artwork is great and music fits very well to. Overall it's a high quality game, it has to get a high rating from me but I just wish it was a bit friendlier for those less skilled :)
@sean-esopenko that's embarrassing... I forgot to remove a piece of test code which moves camera to the right! :face_palm:
@googlypoo Yeah I thought that might be a common issue (and I'm really happily surprised to see most people figuring it out). If you want to try again, just reread the tutorial part + look for highlighted tiles if you don't know where to click. It's a bit unusual game I guess, making a proper tutorial would take another 24 hours
@lucydango If you can't understand the game, you are safe to assume that's the person who made it that's stupid, not you :D
@endurion I'm guessing you didn't notice how some tiles got highlighted (a bit hard to make something stand-out with this palette, sorry...). When you click "new wave" you will see how many enemies are supposed to come out (number next to your cursor) and "holes" in the ground will get highlighted. You click on one and then pick tiles around where you want the enemy to go. If you move enemy on top of another enemy - you have to move that one as well.
@lorddaniel @googlypoo @endurion @surune I made a short video explaining the game - I hope it helps! https://youtu.be/jw9hVDPKjKc
@jrf @tjm @5mixer Game should be quick and you should have to click just once. If you have programs running in the background or a slow pc, the game will perform poorly. I will make sure to avoid making games with python in the future :)
@endurion @mozokevgen Yeah I'm guessing you're both having issues with game ignoring your input because of frame drops. You could try closing background programs (or using another computer...) but not sure how much that would help. Thanks for trying though!
@quasilyte I made a Windows build, maybe it will help (I'm not sure though...). If it still doesn't work, I see some people rating just graphics/sound if they can't play it. I'd understand getting a 1/5 for a broken game too
It gets a bit repetitive after the second say but it's a solid game. Managed to fill the boat (with a few empty slots) in 5 days :)
Nice game. Cool idea, the combat is fun but each round could be shorter. It just feels like it takes a bit too long to get the next upgrade. I really like that art style!
Lovely idea. It is fun to play, I definitely enjoyed it. It does need to be polished a little bit more (it should feel better to shoot for example - with some particle effects, camera shakes, more punchy sounds etc. - you got that right with the dash motion, it's really cool). And level design could be better as well. It definitely makes a good use of your idea but it could a be a bit more creative, give player more exciting moments of realisation (and you can do that for sure here, lots of possibilities with core gameplay like that!).
If that's your first game then keep working man, I can't wait to see you winning next LD :)
Had a lot of fun with this one. Some very clever ideas here. Amazing atmosphere (5/5 for mood from me), nice puzzles (though I wish you introduced new ideas in separation, on the last level I went through the whole thing just to realize there's more things to pack than space on the truck, only then I understood... Would be better to have a quick level before that with just 3 things in it so the realisation would be quicker). An undo button would be useful as well, few times I accidentally moved a block into a wrong spot, having to restart was annoying there. Otherwise it's really a brilliant game, good stuff!
An absolutely horrible score, I imagine... ss.PNG
Tried again! I see some worthy challengers appeared above, but looks like I'm still the best on level 3. I'll take it
challenge.PNG
Really fun little game. I'd like to be able to make the jump bigger/smaller depending on how long I hold the mouse button. Also sometimes the randomness of where those shapes appear can be annoying, when it gives you little time to react. It is a lot of fun though (but I suck at this, couldn't get more than 15...)
Really nice game! I like how it looks but it felt impossibly hard. Then I realised I can just keep spamming X and never lose :)
Really neat game. Wish there was more content but the mood is perfect. Music, art-style fit together perfectly with the gameplay.
Well that must be the most addicting game I've played so far. Spent way more time on it than I should have, I've got kids to take care of!
Really the only complain is that I see no end condition? Am I meant to destroy enemy base? Is that even possible? It's really fun game, it looks and sounds good. It's amazing :)
Extremely realistic, that's exactly how it felt to use a computer in the 90s. Thank you sir for bringing back the good ol' days!
In the beginning there's too little action. I love my tower defence games to look like a proper bullet hell - makes things more exciting! I got more of that towards the end. I like how you can move your antivirus around, it's a refreshing idea - wish it was used a little more. Right now it's required only at the very beginning (and when something sneaks through later on. It's a solid game, good job :)
Love games like that! Quick fun and challenging (a bit too much maybe?...). The rocket from behind forcing you to move constantly is a brilliant idea!
It's a cool idea but it was a bit too easy, so I never felt the pressure of having to decide whether I want to get an upgrade or keep some more space to run around. And after getting some upgrades, the game basically plays itself. I enjoyed it, stopped after 101 kills :) Oh and those voice overs are quite funny!
