I liked the way you approached the theme in the inventory. Challenging game, I had to think a lot to get to the end! It's really cool, congratulations!

gabreu 2023-10-02 21:08

i really liked it. Maybe the attack collision could be a little greater, but its a good game tho. that mechanics of get the enemie skill is pretty fun

devon-chan 2023-10-03 01:15

i LOVE the conccept and the execution, but maybe it would be helpful to have a clearer instruction. I struggled badly at the first level. But overall GREAT CONCEPT!

unnamed1334 2023-10-03 01:38

I really like the idea. My only complain is that the modules were a bit tricky to get to snap in sometimes.

salaro 2023-10-03 03:22

I think the attack collision is a bit broken as it never hit and I got stuck on stage 3

Very clever looting mechanism, the control is a bit stiff but still very fun to play.

holysparks 2023-10-03 16:40

I'd love to see a fully develop game around this. Really awesome concept.

ayced 2023-10-03 16:48

On the last level (not counting final room) the jumpy bot managed to jump out of its cage lol, I assume that's unintended and I was supposed to shoot it with the pistol?

The sword slash animation looks particularly nice

gamer-fates 2023-10-03 16:49

Enjoy the graphics here.

The intro should have more to explain how to add the item to your inventory or a little more feedback. I was stuck on the first map for 10 minutes trying to double jump.

Also it may help to copy the controls to itch wherever possible explaining the controls.

Overall great game, thanks for sharing. I also would like to see more of this flushed out.

rsheepdv 2023-10-03 18:42

The idea was really cool! The inventory was a bit finicky though, couldn't get it to snap in all the time.

kiberptah 2023-10-03 18:48

Interesting mechanic, I kind wished there'd be more levels :) My only major issue is that it is a bit fiddly to put upgrades in the inventory, if you drop them not exactly in the correct cells, they stay in the world and not snap to the inventory grid.

Nice take overall

saskle 2023-10-03 18:55

Nice game, especially for a first time! It would have been a little easier if W or Up Arrow was jumping instead of the spacebar, given you have to use the mouse too. But other than that, great take on the theme!

zanagi 2023-10-03 18:59

There's definitely potential here; the graphics are great and using abilities from killed enemies feels satisfying.

As some others have already mentioned, moving abilities into inventory seems to sometimes oddly fail and the hitbox of enemies doesn't completely match their sprites.

Still, I had a great time with this one, thank you for making the game and congrats on the submission!

This game was really nice! The robot was cute and the animations were nice, the inventory is creative. I think it could use some quality of life improvements with the mechanic of the inventory to make things less hectic. Creative idea :)

ezard94 2023-10-03 19:26

Really nice game, the skill/inventory management is clever. I had some trouble with the hitbox while using the gun but overall a really nice puzzle game.

owca 2023-10-03 19:34

Really nice game. Clever level design. I only wish there were more levels :) I think this game has a lot of potenitial and could be further extended with more module types. I also like the precise controls.

apophatique 2023-10-03 19:36

Just a little difficulty in understanding that I had unlocked the double jump at the beginning, but apart from that it's really excellent. Makes you want to see more, bravo!

rincs 2023-10-04 03:44

The robots are REALLY cute!! Definitely love the design! I Enjoyed the puzzly aspect of it, definitely want more levels xD

2023-10-04 03:56

Loved the concept! I wished the modules would snap on the grid? It would make it easier to move them around.

robbzenone 2023-10-04 14:03

I enjoyed playing the game. The inventory was a bit glitchy, and the hitbox for the pistol shots doesn't seem to quite match, but I still liked it :)

karen-oliveira 2023-10-04 15:37

Struggled at first with controls but didn't take me much to get it. It's fun and challenging, I enjoyed playing! :)

luksor 2023-10-04 17:48

Cool concept, fits the theme nicely. Took me a couple tries to solve the last level :D

coro-yy 2023-10-04 18:23

Clever and nicely done idea. You should add many more levels, it would be worth it! Especially for practice purposes. Graphics are nice and simple and the game itself plays pretty smooth. Great submission!

jkyd 2023-10-04 22:49

Such a cool idea!

kasmilus 2023-10-05 12:36

Lovely idea. It is fun to play, I definitely enjoyed it. It does need to be polished a little bit more (it should feel better to shoot for example - with some particle effects, camera shakes, more punchy sounds etc. - you got that right with the dash motion, it's really cool). And level design could be better as well. It definitely makes a good use of your idea but it could a be a bit more creative, give player more exciting moments of realisation (and you can do that for sure here, lots of possibilities with core gameplay like that!).

If that's your first game then keep working man, I can't wait to see you winning next LD :)

magalix 2023-10-06 17:06

I agree that this game has potential! I had some Oddworld vibes playing it

0x746564 2023-10-06 23:18

Loved the concept! I can see why you reset the inventory every level, much easier to design the levels that way.

One thing that could be improved would be the control scheme. Too many buttons mixed in with the mouse made it difficult to control.

I think you could polish this and turn it into something more post-jam.

kilominior 2023-10-07 03:05

Modularized robot is cool, and the level design is not bad!

lincolnsalles 2023-10-20 21:20

Very interesting mechanics, cool graphics and sound too. I think in the third phase I kind of didn't know how to get through. I liked the look of the robot.
