This game is fun! Really cute game with a very interesting mechanic. It works well on so many levels: it's a way to attack, but at the same time it can be used to drag the human away from danger. Enemies are nicely made, I especially like the spiral movements of cats. Graphics are clean and those mouth made SFX are amazing.
If I had to nitpick, maybe the take on the theme is a bit light. I mean the limited space is more a gimmick here that doesn't have too much to do with the main mechanic.

Very cool little game!! The mechanic is really interesting, though I personally think it might work better with mouse controls instead of keyboard? The different types of enemies feel pretty simple but do make the game challenging. Visuals are really cute, and mouth-made sound effects are obviously hilarious and really well made too! Well done!!
When I attacked for the first time my dog barked on the couch next to me. Adorable/spooky graphics and love the mechanics. My first jam I made a similar game called "Super Corgie Drifter". I'm excited to take a look at your code and compare it to mine. Great submission!
The graphics really fit to the 'small cute game' vibe and the game delivered that as well in gameplay! (it was still challenging though :D )

It's an interesting take on the theme as it's not what comes to my mind when thinking about limited space. I liked that cozy vibe and even the ghosts were cute. The first bark sound made me jump from my chair because it's obviously made by voice and I found that hilarious. I managed to reach wave 9 but those damn wizards got me. The game is difficult but not too quickly, letting you time to train before throwing everything at you.

Hilarious sound effects and super cute.
Very cool! I played 4 or 5 rounds and made it to wave 5. I would love an option to turn off screen shake. That would let me play a couple more rounds without getting dizzy. Great sound effects, and I like the cozy spooky vibe. Maybe barking should not push the ghost towards the human. I ended up just swinging around like a maniac, that felt like the meta here 😄

this is so cute! even the ghosts - i don't want to bark them away because they're so adorable. the controls are really fun with you rubber banding your dog at the ghosts.

Controls are simple, the dash mechanic have a very good implecation of "gettin my human from a danger" to "dash into a danger to save my human". Art are simplistic and cute, overall a very plesant experience. Got to 8th level :D

Great little game. Very cute (especially sounds!). Gameplay is fun, I like the tension between where you want to shoot vs how you have to pull your guy to the other side first, makes for quite interesting gameplay. It needs a score at the end, points for combos etc? For some added replay value :)

I love how cute this game is! The gameplay is unique and interesting as heck. The only negative for me is that it's a little bit difficult.
Fun gameplay! I wish the basic bark was a bit better, seemed like it wasn't super useful and using the leash was much better. I really enjoyed this one for the cute visuals and snappy gameplay:)
Very cute little game. I made it to wave 9. The cat ghosts are too overpowered late game. But overall, loved the action and the art style. Awesome!
Very cool idea, I did find the controls pretty difficult though. losing tension on the leash when the dog got to the fence was frustrating. There was also almost no reason to use the regular bark, it didn't push them back enough to give you time to get away from the walls and then get tension on the leash

Reminds me of a Google Doodle game in the best possible way! Had a lot of fun with this one, especially love the sound effects (using your own voice adds a lot of charm lmao)
It's a nice game for sure. Love the art style and the humor. There is a minor flaw: It's very unforgiving. I think a reason is, that barking is very weak and there is no synergy with the main attack. If you get cornered, you're toast. Also the screen-shake is a bit too harsch for my taste. But I still enjoyed my time and made it to level 9. Good job for a compo entry.
Really nice! I think the lack of lineart works great. I also appreciate that you can use the starting screen to practice your moves beforehand and are shown the basic tutorial each time (since I needed a while to understand how to use the leash). I understand there's little time for this in the compo, but I think one thing that would add to the fun could be to give the background some personality as well (decorating the fence/changing the color of the grass to something more fun etc.)

I love the visuals of this game and the original idea of the gameplay. The connection to the theme, is quite small, but that doesn't matter that much. Love the polished look of the game and simple controls. The levels from 6 and on start to get really challenging quickly!

What a clever mechanic! I love when games combine mechanics in super clever ways and how you dodge and attack with the same movement system is a perfect example. Plus its super satisfying to slingshot! I also love how the "health" is just your owners fear level. Really great submission :smile:

What a wonderful entry this was. The concept is similar to my own game but still a completely different experience. I love the concept of the elastic leash for the attack. The art and music were both fantastic. The wave mechanic is something I wanted to add but ran out of time for, and it really helped to introduce the different enemy types in a way that was not overwhelming. Great job.
