Love it! I managed to make it home with a total value of 80. Great use of theme - I love a good inventory management game. Pretty art too, what a nice coherent color scheme. :)

That's a great idea and you match the theme really well, reminds me of Diablo 2 insane inventory management ! Gob job !
I like this, for now this is my little favorite of the jam! Thank you !
Little feedback : it might be cool to change the design of the buttons where you have to put an object to differentiate them from the classic choice buttons !
Congratulations again ! I recommend !
@sarah-northway @kaimon Thanks a lot for playing! I am happy you liked it :D
@falestress Changing the button which requires items to have a different design is a great idea! Thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback :D Little favorite is high praise ^_^ (but I guess it is only the beginning of the rating phase :P)
The font seemed to be a bit oddly stretched in the web version, however it was still a nice little inventory management game.
The font is a bit hard to read (which is annoying in a text-based game...) but I had a lot of fun with it! I'd love to play a full game of this. I guess it would need to give player a bit more agency, things felt a bit random at times but I was curious "what's next?" all the time. Brilliant game.
Fun little game! I like the concept to boil a short adventure story down to decisions of inventory management. Art style is nice, everything worked fine for me. Nice entry!
I really like this take on adventure games through inventory. The writing and graphics are charming, and I really appreciate the tiny bit of randomness in the items you get - it adds a bit more strategizing to the game when you start with slightly different items. Great game! Put me on the board :D Screenshot 2023-10-03 163334.jpg
A very charming bite-sized adventure! It was enjoyable to re-play and see what could happen with different choices. I do feel sound effects for moving the items were missing though - it could make items feel more tactile when popping them into your bag.
@kasmilus Yeah, I can understand about the font. Thanks for the feedback! Happy to hear you enjoyed it :)
@fnelix Thanks for playing! Happy you liked it
@vary Oh, 171 is a really good score :O Happy you liked it :D
@ani I completely agree with you on the missing sound effects for moving items. In general I would have loved to add a bit more game feel to the whole game, but as usual I had no time :/ Thanks a lot for playing and the nice feedback
Got 175! I believe that's a high score haha. There are so many options so I want to try over and over again! Very fun game :) 20231004141902.png
I had a lot of fun playing this! Without spoiling anything, the toll bridge really made me laugh
The mood was great throughout and not knowing what you'd come across next and what items you'd need made the game very suspenseful, I like that by the end I was very suspicious of every interaction. I'm not sure if I was using my items more quickly than expected, but I never actually ran out of inventory space - not a big issue at all but it would've been nice to get more gameplay out of the arranging mechanics.
This is the kind of game I would like to see in this ld lol, when it comes to limited space it always turns out to be trade off and balance your decision, which is what I felt when I played the game. Excellent art as alwaysm, and thank you so much for this journey!
Wow this is excellent! I really enjoyed all of this and played a few times, a really impressive entry. I don't have anything to critique  . The art was great, it made me laugh, it was so polished. All around amazing jam! I expect this to do really well.
Screenshot from 2023-10-04 19-27-29.png Barely scraped by on my second play through. Such a fun game and great interpretation of the theme. The colors are very pleasant and I love the variety of outcomes/how you can learn as you play. Keep up the great work!
Unfortunately the browser version on Mac Safari was not working.
This game is so pretty and i love the drawings as well. I love these types of choose your own adventure stories and the graphics really made this one pop. Especially the one on the upper left corner i loved that there was always an image of where i was so i could better visualize it. Also loved the different types of items getting used in different types of events. Great game all around, feels very polished.
I loved it! I must admit I failed some runs because I dragged the item instead of just clicking it haha. The music and palette are so chill. And gotta love the randomness, it's like a rogue-like. My best score was 133 iirc
A really nice game ! Wasn't able to finish on the first try but got it right the second time ! I really enjoy how close it got to text-based RPG games and loved the way the narrative was put together and the way the items are useful to go further on during the adventure. It's a nice idea to have to choose what to take and what to leave. Well done ! :)
Always a pleasure to play your games and this one is no exception. Really nice visuals, storytelling and music that form an enjoyable and cohesive package overall. Some minor criticism: I saw very few typos and the limited space mechanic only mattered once for me. Still, it always felt like I should look out for my inventory space, which I guess is even better than being forced to leave something behind all the time!
This was fun! It's a really nice take on limited space, and interesting how "cheaper" items were always just as useful than their larger counterparts.
I think I may have found the max score:

It requires restarting several times until you get the right RNG, as you need to get a potion from the old lady and a necklace from the shiny thing in the ground. After that, everything just barely works out to let you keep all of your most expensive items (although I got unlucky once with a 2x2 shield at the castle, and had to toss one of my items).
Was really excited to try another game from you after LD53, that one was delightful ^^ And such a nice surprise seeing a text-based game this time! I loved it a lot, it's so my type of game~
The mechanic is interesting, it fits the theme well, and the game kept me very engaged. The art is definitely my taste, I love it a lot <3 Sound effects fit the vibe of the game. It is impressive how you created so many encounters, it was interesting and intriguing, and the goal of getting most value in your bag is cool!
I accidentally left the bread along with my money by clicking too fast ;_; And it was a nice surprise, as I reloaded the game to start over, that some items' sizes seem to be randomized, as that time I got a bigger gold pouch ^^ (though I think it still got me the same amount of bread, but not sure as 1st time I fat-fingered that purchase) Then I wanted to make my gem into jewelry and fat-fingered again T_T thankfully didn't lose the gem itself. I don't think the click-and-drag mechanic is bad, maybe I just have to be more careful >_<
Nitpicks: *The font was a bit hard to read, especially as some letters were thicker while others were thinner. *In the beginning, it would be nice to say "Double click" instead of "Click" as I tried simply clicking on my Sword at first and got worried it's some kind of bug, but thankfully tried clicking 2 times xD *When I switched windows to start writing my feedback here as I go, music cut off and didn't go back when I clicked back on itch.io page :( *Found a typo: On the screen where we can buy/not buy bread: "Might be nice to bu*t* some bread"
Got 158 ^^

@benskca I am happy you enjoyed it! I fully agree that the tetris inventory management aspect did not come in to play much. I would have liked to make more items with weird shapes, but I did no get to that unfortunately.
@luis-carli Yeah, I know and I am very sorry. This is the first time I used Love2D, and unfortunately the compiler I used apparently does not support mac. I also dont know enough about love2D to fix it yet :(
@greenpig Thanks a lot for your nice words! I would have loved to add more variety in the pictures in the top left, but I did not have time. I am glad to hear you appreciated them anyways, even though I reused them quite often :)
@erkberg Thanks a lot for playing! I am happy you liked it :D Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the inventory puzzle could have been explored more. Unfortunately I did not have time to make items with weird shapes, which would have made it a lot more interesting I think.
@sudocoffee Oh, very impressive! I though that with my max score of 190 I already reached the ceiling, but obviously not. I need to see if I can reproduce that :) I am very honered that you liked the game enough to find the optimum path through it ^_^
@kanity Thank you very much for sharing all your thoughts! I am sorry to hear that the clicking and dragging did not seem to work well for you. You should not have to click twice, so I am not sure what is going wrong there :/ It also seems that there is something weird with the resolution of the game in your case. All pixels should be equally big, but seeing your screenshot they are obviously not. This is good to know though! This is my first time making a game in Love2D, so there is still a lot to learn. I am happy you enjoyed it nontheless :D
Thank you, it was like an adventure into a children's fairy tale that teaches the rule of choice-consequence). At first it was difficult to control from dragging objects, intuitively tried to use drag&drop. I wonder why the single-click control method was chosen?)
This is great! Super well executed adventure game that fits the theme really well. I loved how you could use items on the buttons to make certain choices. I liked how clean the presentation was with it all being contained in a single screen. The location icons really helped make you feel like you were traveling. Everything about this hit some kind of nostalgia for me. Is there actually some randomness to each run or fixed branches?
Charming :) I played through 5 runs, my biggest score being 122. I don't know if I explored enough to find the packing mechanic meaningful: on all my runs, there was no point at which I really was constrained by inventory space. Still, I enjoyed the game :) Will take a look at your previous entries too since cute graphics seem to be your thing!
This was really a lot of fun to play. Brought me back to the old school choose your adventures games of the 90s, but with the fun inventory packing twist. Great execution and replay value!
Fun relaxing little adventure! I liked the combination of story and the neat little inventory system!
Really fun adventure game!
