The city building felt solid and very polished. The upgrading system was very fun to chose what to upgrade and strategize about what to pick.
I felt that the big enemies did too much damage because when the warriors bunched up to try and kill them they all died in one shot.

Really fun! All the enemies felt a bit on the easy side, except for the large ones. Also, I feel like target priority for the soldiers and archers could be improved - they wouldn't always attack the most important threats first.
Overall this felt fantastically polished.
Coll game! With some balancing, some polishing an d more content could be great

I really love the concept of the game but the difficulty is so absurd with those bosses that two shots big buildings ! Great job it's an amazing entry !

This game is really underrated. The balance is a bit snowbally, early RNG to get your economy rolling seems important. Conversely stacking the ranger upgrades has them machine-gunning down enemies before they can get on screen. But that's to be expected in a compo game. The core loop is really solid. 2023-10-08-193731_1920x1080_scrot.png

A sort of lo-fi version of majesty coupled with tetris like space management. Nice one, though the best I was able to do after several attemtps was to get to 15 night. A bit too much depends on what drops in your hand I guess.

A nice take on the theme! There is plenty of interesting ideas in this game :o It makes me think about Thronefall and Loop Hero

Really impressive for 48 hours, polished gameplay, nice implementation of the theme, systems work great and an shocking amount of variety. Every part was well executed, although the defeat sound almost killed me as well! I also think the "expansion of the kingdom"-upgrade could be a way bigger area, but that's just balance.
Great job!

Succeed to made it to wave 21 at my second run. I've gone for the full warrior build^^. Simple but deadly :D.
Great game. Really well done. Good job.
Amazing ! Nice graphics, good gameplay, well made without any bugs, easy to understand and play, just great ! Maybe add code to make warriors come back to keep when they go too far, to prevent them from being stuck on the edges. Also to see a little more far cos sometimes enemies are outside the visible area or spawn too close. Anyway it's a great demo for a future released game to me, I'd love to play it more ! Upgrades and building system are really cool and the mood and audio are great too ! Really great job on this game I loved playing it !
This looks interesting but unfortunately I am unable to play because of my ultrawide monitor (32:9). Most of the UI elements seem to be cut off.

Very solid graphics, building your little city feels very rewarding. I opted out of voting on the audio as the game plays a noise when I start and then immediately stops - but I suspect it's a problem with my system, not your game
Really fun game! The first play I encountered a bug where I didn't get any cards, was really confused as to the point of the game, but the second try worked and I had a blast.

Very nice Compo entry. Well polished, and remarkably well-balanced for a 48-hour game. Graphics were lo-fi readable and the whole UI/UX felt tightly integrated. Concept was clever, and very quickly understood. I enjoyed the rogue-like elements of choosing different upgrades, although I felt like I was dealt a rather weak economic hand initially. I also didn't understand that my buildings regenerated after each run until I eventually lost one and then saw it come back after surviving the night. Once I saw that, my strategy changed slightly.
Did you consider or test a version of the game where you couldn't move any buildings once they were placed? Perhaps that would be saved for a hard mode.

Neat game! Enjoyed it, failed on wave 18 but it was fun while it lasted. I guess it has a few issues - it feels like I have too little control over what's happening (main reason why I didn't retry it), my units AI is a bit silly... there were rounds where my warriors spent more time changing targets than actually fighting, few times I was really close to losing where it felt like it's because of the simple AI, which is not a good feeling. But the core idea is strong, graphics, sound, mood are great. Everything fits together very well. It just needs another few iterations/gameplay testing and I can see it becoming a really addictive game. Keep up the good work :)

The greatest game of the Jam for me ! Amazing idea, amazing execution, the pixelart is super nice, the music a bit repetitive but it doesn't get old even after 4 retries lmao, and the gameplay is super fun ! Very nicely balanced, you have to build farms and houses to gain more money, but also build buildings that build soldiers and all else your buildings get destroyed and you gain nothing... I managed to get to night 20 on my fourth try, wow this game is really really fun and very replayable, like actually ! You have a great gameplay loop, very balanced, very polished, I can't really think of any bad thing in the game, except the bug that makes soldier stuck when they're inside the darkness range lol, I lost a game to that I was mad... Maybe the AI can be frustrating, it seems your soldiers, healers and rangers (and buildings) target buildings/entities at random, which can make your super amazing cool army get destroyed by the darkness because they keep of targeting ennemies SUPER far away instead of the ones that are near them... Still fun to play though and it doesn't happen that often thankfully. If you make a bigger version, I'll DEFINITELY play that ! Now that I think of it, your game has a concept that is similar to clash of clans lol, but is still very different in the execution ! Amazing game
