nice game with simple mechanics, can't say it is much innovative, but it's fun, runs smooth, and fits the theme I like the progression with the "tutorial" and first few blocks but gets quite challenging already at the score of 10

I like the controls of this game, and the game play is quite fun! Would make a great mobile game! Very fun game!
@stronf @triangle-point thanks guys, this is my first time doing game jam solo, so i tried to make the mechanics as simple as possible. I also do aim to make it mobile friendly since this kind of casual game is more popular there
Good scoped fun game. You want to keep playing because you know you can do better. Smart highscore system . Good job on my game :)
@senso thank you, your game is also really fun
A minimalistic but polished fun little game.
Really fun game, double jump might be confusing sometimes but overall nice and juicy feeling
@donitz thank you for playing
@tntube thanks, i had to rework double jump several times, but couldn't figure out how to make it more intuitive and satisfying, so i just gave up lol
I'll try to rate both of your games later
YESSSSSSS it took me more than 1 try :zap:
@senso oh you beat me on the desktop leaderboard, congrats! Someone actually was crazy enough to score 35 on the mobile version, they must have played it so many times to reach that high
this was a really simple yet really fun and addicting game, if I could get this as an app I bet id be playing it more haha! great job on your first solo jam, you killed it!
Loved the game but those purple things i swear are psychic and spawn exactly where i was about to jump. I love how juicy everything feels, the player, enemeies, and the little score animation. Stopped when i got first on the leaderboard :D
@wook i do plan to release it on Google Play, but i feel like I need to add more contents first. Perhaps more enemy types, characters, or even power ups
@penguindustin hahaha, thanks for playing. Congrats on being first, it seems like @senso got some competition
Pretty much your typical mobile game. Execution of the idea is pretty nice. Graphics are clean and animations are smooth, but the game could use some more juice. Controls feel fine, apart from the fact that you can bounce from the wall you're currently approaching when jumping - a couple of times it caused me to jump where I didn't want to.
I've also played it on mobile and I have no complains. Nicely done! high.png
@krzyhau oh wow, i genuinely thought it wasn't possible to score more than 40 (I had to cheat when taking the screenshots lol). Congrats and thank you for playing!
Really fun little game. I'd like to be able to make the jump bigger/smaller depending on how long I hold the mouse button. Also sometimes the randomness of where those shapes appear can be annoying, when it gives you little time to react. It is a lot of fun though (but I suck at this, couldn't get more than 15...)
@kasmilus that's a good suggestion, maybe i'll implement it after the jam ends
Fun and straightforward game .It fits the theme well ,easy to get but the difficulty ramps up quickly, love the minimalistic art style.
@ahbee-studio-nex-us the minimalist art style, or as i like to call it, the "i don't know how to make good arts so I'll just use basic shapes" art style. Thanks for playing the game
i kinda liked it. gfx was simple and easy to play.
@tero-pulkkinen Thanks for playing
simple but addictive game. Very nice!
The game is very fun. Simple concept but it works great. It`s addictive, there are few enemies type and good difficulty scaling. Great job!
highscore.png
@greenphox @pawel12 Thank you, it actually has some more enemy types until you reach 100, but i don't think anyone is going to get to that point haha
Deceptively difficult. I kept telling myself it would be easy to beat 27 and get on the leaderboard but it took me at least 10 minutes to get a score not even at 20. (maybe longer, I tend to lose track of time) I love the mechanics and the simple graphics. One complaint is that the purple enemies can catch you completely by surprise when they come out of the edge right on top of you. It's pretty funny since in my game people also complained about the purple enemies coming out of nowhere lol. I really enjoyed your game and if it was launched on mobile as is I would probably play it a lot.
@themixedmaster the purple circle really increases the difficulty exponentially, I'd probably change it so that it spawn relatively far away to the player or add a warning to where it'd spawn. Thank you for the feedback!
I absolutely loved the simplicity of this game! It's so challenging as well, it reminds me of an old game called curseball I used to play at school in the middle of class every day and it was very similar to this, it was challenging to get down the timing of when I was supposed to jump so I could get the star but after I got it down it was really fun! I enjoy small mini game style games like these, the sound effects were really nice also. Great submission!
@congeesetador Thank you, glad you found it fun!
So simple graphic and so exiting gameplay! :3 I love this competitive spirit, honestly I tried to take a position on the leaderboard, but I couldn't I will try again ^-^
@artano yeah, it's pretty hard to get to the leaderboard now, even i can't get back to the top 10 lol.
Edit: i somehow managed to get back to top 10
Neat idea and fun gameplay. I appreciate minimalist graphics style. Really have nothing to criticize. Great job!
@n-feofentov thank you!
Really simple, but very fun game. I played it on desktop and sadly I was extremely terrible at the game :D my highscore is 15.
Of course there isn't much to say about the graphics, but they are exactly what they need to be for a game like this in my opinion.
One critique I have is that sometimes you just get wrecked by something that appears from the edge of the screen and immediately crashes into your butt, so maybe some sort of indicator 1 second or 0.5 seconds before that would be nice?
Other than that I enjoyed the game and it would go great with some added music.
Overall really fun and a great entry for the jam. I hope you had fun making this (btw, this was the first game I've ever seen that was made in Construct)
@im-not-a-robot yeah, there are many complaints about enemy appearing out of nowhere near the player, definitely have to figure out how to fix that. There are not many Construct games, since it's not as popular as Godot or Unity, but there are still some pretty cool ones. @senso's game, Super Cube, is one of them. There's also one platformer where you play it on your browser address bar, i forgot the title, that was actually made with Construct 2. Anyway, thanks for playing and giving me feedback!
Cool game, dude. You might want to test your game with more casual players because I think it's still feel very hard to progress (totally not for me of course, i am very good at this game) in case you want to publish it.
Simple yet ample graphics, pick-up-and-play mentality, yeah, this is a definite 5 for me.
@awanama definitely need more testing and most probably some balancing
@moonlightbomber thanks for the 5!
Really elegant presentation. I feel like the things that pop up on the edge of the screen sometimes feel unfair when jumping, but otherwise pretty cool!
Nice concept. I really liked the way the gravity worked on this.
With some time and tweaking plus more levels, you could have a full game on your hands.
Hello stream friend ^^ This game is lovely and for how simple it is, it gave me much more enjoyment than I expected. I didnt do too well in it, but I adore the mechanics ^^ Sure, the graphics could have been more stylized, but it wasnt really necesary. I love it! ^^
@nardandas Sad that i didn't get to see you playing it live, i was busy so i had to leave the stream early, but thank you for playing!
@game-dev-with-michael @jadener Also thanks to you guys for playing! I'm glad you like it
Was trying to beat the record for over an hour.
To no avail. I've got a best of 39. (might try again later)
I didn't rage more during a LD entry.

Honestly I love how addictive this game is, but there are still some small improvements to be made, especially with the purple circles, which are just incredibly unfair, since they kill you whenever they appear from outside the box (I suppose shapes have some 0.5 second countdown before becoming active, but since circles spawn outside, they are already active when getting in). And thus I marked the only real negative of the game - no signalization whatsoever. Some people might like it, but as I said, it just feels unfair in some circumstances (and also prevents me from encountering later shapes).
But I should not rate this game on a single fact like this. I love the perfect level of polish balanced with simplicity and clarity of the game. It's fun, I've played it on the stream and again a while ago, with 39 as my best (as mentioned above). Me being a passionate rage game player. This is something I have to give a try later again :laughing:
it never ceases to amaze me how the simplest ideas can be so much fun. great idea and excellent workmanship... the physics of the jumps are set up perfectly
@notinatal thanks for the feedback, 39 is pretty good, you almost got me out of the leaderboard again! Watching your VOD (and @nardandas's as well), i guess it's not obvious that you can actually double jump. It can be especially useful to avoid incoming enemies while mid air. So if you play it again, try to do that and I'm sure you will be able to broke 40!
@skel3ton thank you for playing, glad you found it fun!
@raassh23 Oh yeah I didn't mention that, but it is just a small detail. I've actually found out off stream, but didn't get a better score yet :laughing:
Simple yet extremely addictive! Moreover, it aligns so well with the theme; having to jump with an increasing number of enemies keeps me on edge! The game is well-balanced, and the difficulty is aptly adjusted for all types of players. The color scheme works well together, and everything contributes to making the game fantastic. Congratulations!
Super simple, Super fun! The definition of low scope games can be really fun!
Nice polishing and animations. The best sort of games are the ones that are hard but you know you could beat your highscore with ease :laughing:. Examples include Snake, Tetris and this!
@milq @epic-zeta thank you for the feedbacks!
Great game, always beat my highscore after each playthrough which felt nice and satisfying!
@equalenergy thank you!
Great game, you can be sure I'll try to increase my record hehe, I confess that I'm pretty bad, but I'll keep trying. The game works very well, great programming, and the simple, geometric art interacts well with the game mechanics. Congratulations on your work!
A great simple concept, executed well! Solid mechanics overall.
However, my brain isn't quite made for this, whenever an enemy showed up I basically launched myself at them with more precision than I could manage for the stars. :laughing:
The art is basic, but you embraced that in a good way--everything is visually clear. Nice one!
Nice simple game. That fit the theme really well. It was quite addicting to get a higher score and the music fit pretty well with the game. Good job :smile:
@natano @flaterectomy @bredera thanks for the feedback guys!
Great game, the mechanics are very simple and fun, it fits the theme very well! Good job!
The gameplay loop was pretty tight. I wanted to get further to see what the shape variety was, but wasn't good enough to get beyond the orange suns. The leaderboard was powerful - apologies for the long name submissions.
@psv-games-studio thank you!
@keely-brown you really limit tested how long a name can the leaderboard handle with that name hahaha
