Interesting game. W felt really awkward to jump imo. Also, it seemed like there were times where it wouldn't allow me to jump? Not sure why.

Cool idea though, reminds me of the arcade Mario Bros game a bit.

Cool Puzzle game.

Like others, it took me a few waves to realize I could store the boxes with items in it.

Too bad about the bug, but interesting concept. Reminds me a bit of some of the bridge builder type games but you're building a tower instead.

Could be a solid concept for a full game with real physics and tricky levels.

Solid controls on this one. I like how you changed the levels up a bit. At first I was like, well it seems like bashing into other cars only seems to slow you down. Then you brought the ice and the police cars!

Awesome entry. Very cool to see how you took the theme and really changed it into a cool, fun idea.

You added some nice touches here, being able to jump on the walls. Having it so you could detonate part of the wall early. Awesome to see what you could accomplish with so little time!

Seems like a great concept for a full game too.

Cool game. Reminds me of the board game "welcome home" a little bit. Different idea, but the requirements being different, etc. reminds me of that a little.

Something that would be helpful is an explanation on some of the symbols. The ones about a specific person were easy enough,

Interesting idea here, but it feels like the enemies move around a bit too fast. Seemed like there was a time or two where I thought I shot through the enemies.

I think controlling the ship could be a bit smoother too.

Very cool take on the theme. One thing is that I thought the text was quite difficult to read at times.

Even so, pretty fun game. The ramp up happens pretty quick at one point haha.

Overall this is a cool little game.

Not sure if I'm sold on the tank controls on the car, but given the overhead view that may have been the best option.

The sound effects and music were a nice touch and definitely made this feel more like a game.

Would appreciate the ability to use WASD as well as the arrow keys.

I like the concept, but yeah, I don't really see any result. It also wasn't clear if the number of seats was also supposed to be the number of kids or if there were multiple to a seat. Typically there would be 2 to a seat.

May need to tweak the timing, seemed like sometimes the items would be dropped and still underwater while the timer on the order started.

Very cool game. I can see this with lots of different puzzles becoming a full game.

Sometimes I would end up needing a piece I had but it was the wrong "version" so I would have to figure out a different path.

I can see you being able to come up with some really evil puzzles with time haha.

Would definitely be nice to see the boss's health. I tried to start a second run and I was unable to click on a weapon to equip it then? Could have just been on my side.

Also, the inventory took up a lot of screen real estate, a smaller one or ability to minimize it would have helped.

@daniel-davis-music thanks yes, scoring was something I was trying to get added but I started it way too late. For some reason it just wasn't tallying the score and I ran out of time.

Same with audio, I should have implemented something earlier and just got tied up in other pieces of the project.

@bad-fetus Yeah, something a little odd about the angles. Going to look at it further. I have considered letting you change the ball color directly, I need to play some levels with that option and the paddle one and see which I like. Or maybe that's a power up you can get as part of the game, I plant o keep working on this one.

@nilan thanks. Yes, mouse control is on the list of control options as I keep developing this. I believe it should be easy to add, but wasn't sure if people would want to use it during the jam.

@ranzor I do think the ball bounce isn't quite right. I have to look at it further!

@killerb @sudocoffee I mention to mention Ikaruga as that game crossed my mind when I was considering letting the player switch the ball color directly. I was trying to think if that would make things too easy, so I just have to test out direct control. I feel like going that route will mean I need to adjust other mechanics, but definitely going to play with it.

@tygrak Yeah, I am working on the bouncing. I did a bit of a devlog and debrief and discussed that some. That is one of the things I am working on.I plan to also let you set the background color, unless I do something else with the background. I plan to continue working on this and turn it into a real game.

@sentmoraap much appreciated! I am working on updates now, but was also able to get this working on steam deck! Though I have to figure out how to add the control options for the menus and play with the scaling a bit more on the color one in particular.

While colorblind was a consideration, I honestly was more thinking it would just be a cool touch to let the person playing select what colors to flip between.

Overall feel and ball bounce angle are definitely my top priority as I continue to work on this!

Collisions are a little rough, but a cool concept. I can see being able to make some really tricky levels with the right ideas if you try to turn this into something bigger.

I feel like the concept for this could be a cool mobile game concept, especially if you could do something like a level editor.

Cool game. Though, I feel like there are times where it's not really easy to tell which way you're supposed to dodge. With the character and the camera angle, sometimes it's difficult to see the gap, other times when needing to press E, I'm not really sure why it ends up working?

Overall I liked it, but I just found it a bit tricky to see what I needed to.

Like others have said, it's a bit confusing on the goal and what the upgrades are doing.

I'm not sure if this something a bit more casual like a clicker game or a puzzle game. I think you could have something here, but a bit tricky to say due to that.

Cool idea though.
