Having just a limited time to put the ship together makes building feel hectic, and the semi-random controls where if you're not careful you wind up doing a bunch of disparate actions with each button press makes for a wild shmup. I did not make very successful crafts, but I did make a laser spewing throwing star out of space junk and that's pretty cool.

The sheer comedy of my cluster of space junk spinning off as it gets pummeled by asteroids is a delight. Fun stuff, though I'm not sure I fully got ship assembly under my fingers in the few times I did it. Regardless, very cool.

There's a lot of great ideas here. Idk if it was just me, but I couldn't get the controls to work after attaching, so maybe just some instructions unclear.

but definitely agree the humor was high with those physics!! LAWL.

This is awesome work! The music and audio design was very well done, and I thought the gameplay was very unique and quite fitting for the theme. I will say I had some initial trouble figuring out how to actually piece everything together as well as what components did what, so a tutorial in a post-jam patch would be very welcome. Eventually I got to a point where pieces stopped attaching to my ship (not sure if that's a bug or my own incompetence), but otherwise, this was great to play!

I second the comment about a cool laser spewing throwing star out of space junk. That's pretty cool.

5000 rpm spinning laser junk go!

divarium 2025-10-07 09:03

That was fun ! We understand rapidly what is the goal but it takes time to know how. But that's the thing, i was curious, i wanted to make it work. The game could have been cryptic in a bad way, instead it was mysterious in a good way. Goog game folks !

I press the keys displayed on the modules but nothing happens, is it normal? It seems like a good idea of a game, a computer version of Galaxy Trucker (maybe that was your inspiration)

Very galaxy trucker vibes. Nice artwork and fun physics. The limited build time was far too short to figure out how the build system worked. I ended up with nothing connected the first few attempts (managed to survive though). I only ever managed to create spinning monstrosities when I did manage to connect some modules. The retry button seems to do nothing.

Space QWOP! I loled when I got spinning around super fast and shooting lasers. I think this is a really clever idea and is worth pursuing more with more complex tasks. The limited time to build was stressful but I get the deisgn decision, people arent meant to make a nice normal ship! I do wish there was a bigger hitbox on the items, I kept just barely missing grabbing the little rockets and guns and losing time (playing with trackpad on my laptop). Also the way you could break your whole ship after clearing the level when you accelerated felt a bit unfair. Super cool game, nice work!

Cool idea! It was hard at first to know what each ship part does, so I had to experiment a bit but I like the ability to customize. The game worked pretty well, I liked the old school 90s/2000s aesthetic.

debaser 2025-10-08 10:36

The spinning made me lol. Great idea with the scavenging part. We also struggled a bit with the modules from our ship.

greenpig 2025-10-08 11:11

Took me some time to get used to the controls but after that it was so fun. Also I love the fact that the turrets are firing at the same speed as the beat of the music, made me feel like a dj

an1s 2025-10-08 11:21

It's a rather interesting little game. Although it took me some time to figure out how to play it, the creativity of the assembly part is really fun!

graebor 2025-10-08 21:30

The idea is fun! In practice, I couldn't really figure out how to drive so my ship just ended up spinning around endlessly and the only thing I felt I could actually control were the lasers. The difficulty curve was quite steep, cause as soon as I started shooting asteroids they multiplied like crazy and killed me :joy:

kykypy3o8 2025-10-09 07:47

interesting mechanics of ship assembly and control

prunus-padis 2025-10-09 19:23

Really intresting concept, though in this implementation it was hard to do anything but a spinning laser disk. Which was funny for the first time but i was kinda sad i could not get a proper movement working, it always started to just spin and move uncontrollably untill i hit a meteor, break my thurster and try again. Nice visuals and audio.

hexstart 2025-10-09 22:59

Wasn't sure what the letters meant at the start, but got it eventually. The building system was pretty cool, and I just wished it wasn't on a timer, so I could play around with it a bit more, and a bit less stressed

threeli 2025-10-10 22:58

Sorry I'm late to playing your project, today was the first day I could get back on the computer, but I'm here now so let's go!

This is a very clever juxtaposition of control and mechanic. I tried over and over, and never did very well, but I was driven to try quite a few times. I think my only note for this is that the time felt just a little too punishing. Overall though, brilliant concept and I think there's tons you could do with this idea!

jabzey 2025-10-15 23:50

This is really cool! I feel like we had similar inspirations for this jam (Galaxy Trucker) so it's interesting to see how different our final products were.

I think this captures the comedy of the concept perfectly. In particular the wild spinning and smashing into rocks was entertaining. I will say that I got stuck at the beginning of the third stage because I wasn't able to attach new parts anywhere on my existing ship. It would be great to have a bit more UI clarity with how that system works. But, overall really nice work!

oller125 2025-10-19 21:09

The concept of having the building phase determine the controls is very cool. The short timer meant it was very easy to end up building weird configurations.
