LD26 — Minimalism

Explorar by Red 2013-05-03T01:06:00

Thanks for the comments, I know it's a bit confusing, I tried to explain it in the text document. >.<

Explorar by Red 2013-05-08T01:50:00

I was wondering when someone'd complain about the horrid music. :P Thanks for the feedback.

I Swallowed My Arrow Key by SleepyStudios 2013-05-03T01:23:00

Half-Minute Hero all over again.

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

101 Ways to Die in Alpha Complex by OddballDave 2018-12-22T03:41:07Z

This is a really interesting game! The controls were a bit too sensitive but did not hold the game back at all.

Dog Days by ruthiepee 2018-12-07T22:22:49Z

Interesting idea, I'm always interested in random generation! How did you generate the names?

loaned tut glasses tut wife by shrapx 2018-12-06T02:46:46Z

Interesting idea with the visual impairment, the controls were a bit iffy (lights were very picky and dragging things felt strange)

Party Card Game by red 2018-12-06T03:41:53Z

Thanks for all of the comments!

@joh The entire game is nearly random, including the AI's moves and the number of starting cards (@zetorama). PvP would be cool; it's on the list.

@AfroAnt The game keeps going until you lose, so survive as long as possible (and yes the cards do go off screen, I need to fix that)

@eddie-li Remember to click the question mark in the bottom-right corner for help!

@pyrosshade The sacrifice is that when you're playing a card you're basically rolling a dice on whether your party member survives or not.

Apotheosis by citsua 2018-12-06T02:22:49Z

Nice and simple! Also, cool special effects. The only criticism I have is that the player moved excruciatingly slow.

God Game by Toasteh 2018-12-06T02:33:04Z

Nice little idea, it could use some more info about the strange pedestals.

ICATUS and the Golden Ball of Yarn by freakoftheyear 2018-12-22T03:32:47Z

Pretty nice, simple game. There's a nice amount of sound effects, although some sound a bit low quality. One graphical improvement I would like to see is to make the platforms stand out from the background a bit more.

Keyboard Twister by Papercookies 2018-12-22T03:37:25Z

Really cool looking game, my friend has actually made a keyboard twister for a previous ludum dare!

Farewell Dear Cargo by ignaciogamedev 2018-12-22T03:42:16Z

Favorite graphics so far, nice job!

Sacriflag by yopox 2018-12-07T23:33:57Z

Actually a really cool idea, and I appreciate that both keyboard and mouse controls are available. Good work.

Until there were none by rubr 2018-12-06T03:02:25Z

Impressive amount of abilities for a jam! I wish there were sound effects!

Thinning The Herd by Nevik34 2018-12-06T00:18:21Z

I was not able to get past the title screen. Pressing "Start Game" did nothing, I could only click on the X to exit.

Thinning The Herd by Nevik34 2018-12-07T23:28:48Z

@Nevik34 Now it works!

Worthless Robots Fight by 01FE7E 2018-12-07T22:38:21Z

I think it would be cool if the player could see their score or waves completed when they lose.

Goblin Quest by Pellanor 2018-12-07T22:53:45Z

Impressive amount of story telling content for a jam game. I like that deaths also slightly change the course of the next play-through.

Jetsam by Zeaga 2018-12-07T23:38:43Z

This is a good idea, but could use some more game-y mechanics such as enemies or dodging cannon balls, etc. I appreciate the help and about page. A good amount of people don't get around to doing that!

My Ludum Dare 43 by Aileron 2018-12-06T01:35:03Z

Unfortunate story, good use of the situation.

Make the good choice ... by Sigrid 2018-12-06T02:28:16Z

The controls being ZQSD is very strange, it would be nice to have the arrow keys as well. Movement was way too fast, to the point where I was teleporting past walls. Nice music, though.

Shine by Jackson_makes_games 2018-12-07T22:31:34Z

Neat little game! I think the game would benefit from being a little more fast-paced. My suggestion would be to increase the number of enemies earlier and add fewer shields to make up for it.

Evil Cult Managment System v1.0 by Kszaku 2018-12-07T23:02:23Z

Fairly complex game for a jam and great job with all of the effects!

LD44 — Your life is currency

Unbalanced Silly Slot Game by SimplePotential 2019-05-04T17:57:42Z

Interesting concept, a little shooting action with some simple strategy involved. The sfx are a bit obnoxious.

Dice Of Life by masterkrepta 2019-05-01T23:38:30Z

Decent entry, I'd like to see some better and more consistent fonts. The font for the numbers on the dice and tiles just feels off.

Mr Moneybag by managore 2019-05-05T16:07:42Z

Overall a solid entry as always, but the mechanics felt off. Shooting was weird and sometimes didn't shoot when it felt like it should? It was not easy to tell when the enemies would hurt you and when they wouldn't.

Gainz 4 Cash by 0x01F0 2019-05-05T16:23:23Z

Very weird game, and I'm not sure I get the relation to the theme. You got the humor and mood, though.

Grand Theft Life by silkworm_sweatshop 2019-05-05T17:11:07Z

I really enjoyed your game, it was fun even walking around! Great job!

Devil Slots by CarlosPidox 2019-05-01T23:56:48Z

I see that it's unfinished, but it would have been nice to have some more feedback when hitting the enemies. (it felt like my bullets were disappearing rather than damaging enemies) I had fun playing, though.

Real Life by red 2019-04-30T01:57:50Z

Brave Swordsman by falak 2019-05-05T16:43:46Z

Solid entry.

Life Merchant by Webox 2019-05-04T17:42:34Z

Nice little game you have here, very simple. Wish it was longer!

Body + Soul by SleepyStudios 2019-05-05T16:10:37Z

Simple concept that still keeps you addicted. The sfx were a bit annoying, though.

Pit King by VeryEvilTomato 2019-05-02T00:20:16Z

Loved the graphics and the audio even more. Great work.

Project Slorgan: The Escape by CodeKoto 2019-05-05T16:34:31Z

I can tell a lot of work went into this game, great job.

Money Mage by FlashViper 2019-05-02T00:09:40Z

I quite liked the difficulty, it kept me going. Needs a longer audio loop.

The Grim Tower by Drunk Wizard 2019-05-05T16:31:22Z

Decent amount of game for a jam, and it actually works. The UI could use some work, especially with more user feedback.

EnigmaDeath by DigitalLimestone 2019-05-05T16:50:33Z

Interesting way to match the theme but it seems like it would be more of a "death is currency" theme. I think trying to die 20 times to get to the second level is a bit much.

Pastemates Overdrive!!! by TinyMushroom 2019-05-02T00:12:45Z

I couldn't tell where I needed to go to deliver things, definitely needs some work in the art department.

Bring Home the Bacon by EatAtJoes 2019-05-02T01:07:38Z

I quite like the art, but the sound effects were pretty obnoxious.

Cyborg Highway by Pyrian 2019-05-05T16:57:28Z

Really cool game, I wish the car speeds were random as it would have made it more difficult and interesting.

Root Maker by Joe Bustamante 2019-05-02T00:44:37Z

Really cool idea, I like how it fits with the theme.

Particle Overload by Turtwiggy 2019-05-05T16:41:55Z

Pretty cool visualizer, though it took me a while to realize the volume slider needs to be way up to see the particles. I don't really see the relation to the theme as well.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Curse of the Loop by SleepyStudios 2020-10-06T16:25:52Z

@charlie-hall Here's a tip: The spike traps have a cooldown after activating (the spikes are harmless when they are descending)

LD57 — Depths

The Void by Iluvatar 2025-04-10T00:45:07Z

Great little point and click adventure with great art, nice work!

Podvodsk by Finlal 2025-04-10T22:22:13Z

I loved the artwork, and the gameplay was so unique, great job!

DOWN INTO THE DEPTHS by red 2025-04-09T02:00:51Z

Thanks everyone for the feedback, one of the best ways to avoid the boulders is to hide under the platforms, that was the idea haha!

DOWN INTO THE DEPTHS by red 2025-04-10T04:40:54Z

Thanks all! I was trying to make the lizards different in that they were more camouflaged, but their movement was way more predictable, but in the end they do probably sneak up on you a little too easily. For the later levels I wanted to introduce harder mechanics / enemies but ran out of time so I opted for overspawning the stuff I alread had, which probably wasn't a good choice in the end. The boulders are really just RNG where they will spawn (anywhere from a little bit to the left to a little bit to the right of you) so the idea was that you need to always be aware of where the closest spike platform is to protect you, or as a last resort pick a direction and hope it didn't spawn in that direction. It would probably be more fair to use the initial debris as an indicator, yeah.

Dirty Little Secrets by winniehell 2025-04-10T01:33:59Z

I liked the hand drawn art a lot! The music started bugging out on me a little bit about 5 minutes into the game, not sure why.

Dantes Descendants by elZach 2025-04-10T22:15:57Z

Some really unique ideas here! I spent way too much time on character creation, but I love that the game shows you other players characters as enemies / teammates. Awesome stuff.

Formidable Satisfactory Silkworm by hijomo 2025-04-10T22:35:41Z

I couldn't figure out what 'space' did

Rappel the Porter by Reuh 2025-04-10T00:06:07Z

Really unique concept, I think it would have been even better to have a deeper bag to further drive that theme, and I thought it was a bit strange that you could save items outside of the bag window. Other than that very cool!

A Leap in the Dark by mmemim 2025-04-08T22:56:13Z

Really interesting idea, I liked audio queue fruit things as a step of difficulty from the glow sticks!

Drill la Drill by FrogtownMatt 2025-04-10T01:23:36Z

Nice reference

The Altermind Project by MatthewDrake 2025-04-08T21:55:24Z

Very unique idea but I was expecting better from the "AI" responses at the end after all the messages leading up to it, haha.

Voidbound by Nef1k 2025-04-10T21:46:29Z

I love the isometric point of view, not many people go for it! The progression was lacking as you've already pointed out, but it's a nice simple game at its core. I think there's a bug with fireballs colliding with the player if you walk in the direction that you're shooting? Not sure.

Kind of deep waters by 7uc4s 2025-04-10T01:00:28Z

I always like to see random generation used in game jams! I liked that the hull damage wasn't just a health bar, but rather made your oxygen deplete faster, I also liked the little touch where hitting a mine would light up the whole level for a bit.

OnlyDown by nojoule 2025-04-10T22:28:34Z

Unfortunate that you didn't have time to do more, but I applaud the effort to go isometric! It really is a unique and interesting looking perspective.

Orpheus Scroll by Triliks 2025-04-10T01:15:29Z

Very unique experience, I tried to speedrun the notes, but it turns out you actually need to pluck them on time.

LD58 — Collector

Beach Collector by red 2025-10-08T23:40:56Z

@truedat did you have hardware acceleration enabled? I get 120fps

Beach Collector by red 2025-10-09T14:05:11Z

@truedat you should enable hardware acceleration for web games, that should hopefully solve it.

Beach Collector by red 2025-10-10T00:44:03Z

I love all of the art being made within the game! Thanks everyone :Dunicorn.png

ScrapheapSprint by sketchycode 2025-10-08T02:30:22Z

Cool idea! It was hard at first to know what each ship part does, so I had to experiment a bit but I like the ability to customize. The game worked pretty well, I liked the old school 90s/2000s aesthetic.

Chicken Heist by nakato53 2025-10-10T03:49:05Z

There are an amazing amount of mechanics going on in this game! I think one of the hardest parts of making a puzzle game are the levels, but the difficulty seems to ramp nicely. Great job and cute art too!

Relics of the Restless by thormoth 2025-10-10T01:49:14Z

I loved the pixel art, it was simple, clean, and effective. Lots of different enemies and rooms, but the gameplay got a bit stale after a while since the enemies seemed to all have the same behaviors, even the bosses. I had trouble following what I was supposed to do, eventually I think I collected an artifact? I didn't see a way to check my collection. Overall it played well, though. Nice entry!

The Tithe of Souls by massivejack 2025-10-08T02:26:35Z

This is probably one of the strangest games I've seen. Really unique idea and art style / mix of art styles.

BIN CHICKEN by Quackqack 2025-10-07T13:10:42Z

Fun little game, love the idea. I agree with Memel06 that it was a bit hard to know when you could or couldn't hit a bin but you eventually get used to it. I couldn't tell, are the different colored bins different in any way? It felt like maybe the red ones were heavier or something?

Nice entry!

Bug Bequest by Bea 2025-10-10T04:09:14Z

Other than the controls being a bit wonky for me in the browser and the audio being a bit jarring, this was a neat little game! I loved the art and cool magic mechanic.

Collectore - Ludum Dare 58 by Truedat 2025-10-08T02:20:43Z

Really unique way to incorporate the theme! The game played well and had good music. Nice entry!

Prairie Dog Music Collector by runningopenloop 2025-10-10T00:54:19Z

The sound effects were a bit crazy and took me by surprise haha! I really liked the prarie dog model but it kinda looked like a capybara to me (which is why I liked it)

Larry the Lizard Wizard by CGraen 2025-10-10T04:03:38Z

Cute little game! I enjoyed collected the geckos and loved that they followed you around.

I Want to Have a Bike by Anderson Job Loeffler 2025-10-08T02:11:18Z

I like the look and vibe of this game a lot. I think the gameplay was a bit too precise for the art / hitboxes / physics, though. Restarting with the freezes was a bit rough, but I loved the animations.

Rujum Jare by Yoav Kagan 2025-10-08T01:36:12Z

Good to see other relaxing / meditation games, I really like the idea of stacking different shapes and the care that comes with picking and placing each one. Awesome entry!

Little monster makehouse by Yatsu 2025-10-07T13:29:01Z

This is a really unique idea and interesting way to incorporate the theme! At first, the speed required to do the minigames took me by surprise, but got the hang of it once I knew what was required of me haha. I loved seeing my monstrosities.

Bug Driver 3D by Reaktori 2025-10-07T13:18:25Z

Wow, an amazing amount of audio, graphical, and programming work done here for a jam! I loved particularly loved the little voice clips when you picked up the bugs as well as the look and feel of the game. I'm also very grateful for the forgiving truck physics or else I would have been upside down quite a lot.

Great entry!

Crown Crow by ThDudk 2025-10-08T01:52:53Z

The movement / controls felt great! I liked that the treasure icon would only appear for a short second so you had to be on the lookout instead of just zooming to each treasure. I liked the art as well. Fun game!

Pneuma by plutonicrock 2025-10-08T01:42:38Z

I couldn't find any colors to collect, and the game kept stuttering when I needed to jump so I kept falling in the same hole the others are talking about. There is also a strange jittering on a lot of the tiles, but I liked the character art! Also, the web version embedded here wasn't working for me.

Applause Collector by esh_k 2025-10-08T02:42:46Z

Applause is a unique thing to collect! I think the sound effects for the "scare" were a bit much to continuously listen to xD I also agree that the different emotions could be a little more pronounced visually.

Paper Airplanes Collection by GeorgeBurg 2025-10-07T13:23:26Z

There are a surprising amount of airplanes to discover! I remember building some of these as a kid, but there are some that I want to try when I get some paper and space to throw them.

Unique entry!

Beelines by raysplaceinspace 2025-10-08T01:29:23Z

Really cool that you made it in your own engine! It was an interesting idea playing around with the efficiency of the paths. I think if anything I'd like to see the bees move a little faster.

Neon Doll Maker by Soleil 2025-10-10T00:42:34Z

I loved that the figurine gets put into a cute box at the end! Great looking little game.

LightSeeker by Shelter132 2025-10-08T01:59:48Z

I like the pixel art, especially on the character and crystals! Controls felt smooth, maybe a little bit floaty, and a little bit unforgiving on the spike hitbox. It was a neat idea to make throwing the light trigger the spider creatures.
