Half-Minute Hero all over again.
This is a really interesting game! The controls were a bit too sensitive but did not hold the game back at all.
Interesting idea with the visual impairment, the controls were a bit iffy (lights were very picky and dragging things felt strange)
Thanks for all of the comments!
@joh The entire game is nearly random, including the AI's moves and the number of starting cards (@zetorama). PvP would be cool; it's on the list.
@AfroAnt The game keeps going until you lose, so survive as long as possible (and yes the cards do go off screen, I need to fix that)
@eddie-li Remember to click the question mark in the bottom-right corner for help!
@pyrosshade The sacrifice is that when you're playing a card you're basically rolling a dice on whether your party member survives or not.
Nice and simple! Also, cool special effects. The only criticism I have is that the player moved excruciatingly slow.
Pretty nice, simple game. There's a nice amount of sound effects, although some sound a bit low quality. One graphical improvement I would like to see is to make the platforms stand out from the background a bit more.
Really cool looking game, my friend has actually made a keyboard twister for a previous ludum dare!
Favorite graphics so far, nice job!
Impressive amount of abilities for a jam! I wish there were sound effects!
I was not able to get past the title screen. Pressing "Start Game" did nothing, I could only click on the X to exit.
@Nevik34 Now it works!
I think it would be cool if the player could see their score or waves completed when they lose.
Impressive amount of story telling content for a jam game. I like that deaths also slightly change the course of the next play-through.
Unfortunate story, good use of the situation.
The controls being ZQSD is very strange, it would be nice to have the arrow keys as well. Movement was way too fast, to the point where I was teleporting past walls. Nice music, though.
Neat little game! I think the game would benefit from being a little more fast-paced. My suggestion would be to increase the number of enemies earlier and add fewer shields to make up for it.
Fairly complex game for a jam and great job with all of the effects!

Interesting concept, a little shooting action with some simple strategy involved. The sfx are a bit obnoxious.
Decent entry, I'd like to see some better and more consistent fonts. The font for the numbers on the dice and tiles just feels off.
Overall a solid entry as always, but the mechanics felt off. Shooting was weird and sometimes didn't shoot when it felt like it should? It was not easy to tell when the enemies would hurt you and when they wouldn't.
Very weird game, and I'm not sure I get the relation to the theme. You got the humor and mood, though.
I really enjoyed your game, it was fun even walking around! Great job!
I see that it's unfinished, but it would have been nice to have some more feedback when hitting the enemies. (it felt like my bullets were disappearing rather than damaging enemies) I had fun playing, though.
Solid entry.
Nice little game you have here, very simple. Wish it was longer!
Simple concept that still keeps you addicted. The sfx were a bit annoying, though.
Loved the graphics and the audio even more. Great work.
I can tell a lot of work went into this game, great job.
I quite liked the difficulty, it kept me going. Needs a longer audio loop.
Decent amount of game for a jam, and it actually works. The UI could use some work, especially with more user feedback.
Interesting way to match the theme but it seems like it would be more of a "death is currency" theme. I think trying to die 20 times to get to the second level is a bit much.
I couldn't tell where I needed to go to deliver things, definitely needs some work in the art department.
I quite like the art, but the sound effects were pretty obnoxious.
Really cool game, I wish the car speeds were random as it would have made it more difficult and interesting.
Really cool idea, I like how it fits with the theme.
Pretty cool visualizer, though it took me a while to realize the volume slider needs to be way up to see the particles. I don't really see the relation to the theme as well.
@charlie-hall Here's a tip: The spike traps have a cooldown after activating (the spikes are harmless when they are descending)
Thanks everyone for the feedback, one of the best ways to avoid the boulders is to hide under the platforms, that was the idea haha!
Thanks all! I was trying to make the lizards different in that they were more camouflaged, but their movement was way more predictable, but in the end they do probably sneak up on you a little too easily. For the later levels I wanted to introduce harder mechanics / enemies but ran out of time so I opted for overspawning the stuff I alread had, which probably wasn't a good choice in the end. The boulders are really just RNG where they will spawn (anywhere from a little bit to the left to a little bit to the right of you) so the idea was that you need to always be aware of where the closest spike platform is to protect you, or as a last resort pick a direction and hope it didn't spawn in that direction. It would probably be more fair to use the initial debris as an indicator, yeah.
I liked the hand drawn art a lot! The music started bugging out on me a little bit about 5 minutes into the game, not sure why.
Some really unique ideas here! I spent way too much time on character creation, but I love that the game shows you other players characters as enemies / teammates. Awesome stuff.
I couldn't figure out what 'space' did
Really unique concept, I think it would have been even better to have a deeper bag to further drive that theme, and I thought it was a bit strange that you could save items outside of the bag window. Other than that very cool!
Really interesting idea, I liked audio queue fruit things as a step of difficulty from the glow sticks!
Nice reference
Very unique idea but I was expecting better from the "AI" responses at the end after all the messages leading up to it, haha.
I love the isometric point of view, not many people go for it! The progression was lacking as you've already pointed out, but it's a nice simple game at its core. I think there's a bug with fireballs colliding with the player if you walk in the direction that you're shooting? Not sure.
I always like to see random generation used in game jams! I liked that the hull damage wasn't just a health bar, but rather made your oxygen deplete faster, I also liked the little touch where hitting a mine would light up the whole level for a bit.
Very unique experience, I tried to speedrun the notes, but it turns out you actually need to pluck them on time.
@truedat did you have hardware acceleration enabled? I get 120fps
@truedat you should enable hardware acceleration for web games, that should hopefully solve it.
I love all of the art being made within the game! Thanks everyone :Dunicorn.png
Cool idea! It was hard at first to know what each ship part does, so I had to experiment a bit but I like the ability to customize. The game worked pretty well, I liked the old school 90s/2000s aesthetic.
There are an amazing amount of mechanics going on in this game! I think one of the hardest parts of making a puzzle game are the levels, but the difficulty seems to ramp nicely. Great job and cute art too!
I loved the pixel art, it was simple, clean, and effective. Lots of different enemies and rooms, but the gameplay got a bit stale after a while since the enemies seemed to all have the same behaviors, even the bosses. I had trouble following what I was supposed to do, eventually I think I collected an artifact? I didn't see a way to check my collection. Overall it played well, though. Nice entry!
This is probably one of the strangest games I've seen. Really unique idea and art style / mix of art styles.
Fun little game, love the idea. I agree with Memel06 that it was a bit hard to know when you could or couldn't hit a bin but you eventually get used to it. I couldn't tell, are the different colored bins different in any way? It felt like maybe the red ones were heavier or something?
Nice entry!
Other than the controls being a bit wonky for me in the browser and the audio being a bit jarring, this was a neat little game! I loved the art and cool magic mechanic.
Really unique way to incorporate the theme! The game played well and had good music. Nice entry!
The sound effects were a bit crazy and took me by surprise haha! I really liked the prarie dog model but it kinda looked like a capybara to me (which is why I liked it)
Cute little game! I enjoyed collected the geckos and loved that they followed you around.
I like the look and vibe of this game a lot. I think the gameplay was a bit too precise for the art / hitboxes / physics, though. Restarting with the freezes was a bit rough, but I loved the animations.
Good to see other relaxing / meditation games, I really like the idea of stacking different shapes and the care that comes with picking and placing each one. Awesome entry!
This is a really unique idea and interesting way to incorporate the theme! At first, the speed required to do the minigames took me by surprise, but got the hang of it once I knew what was required of me haha. I loved seeing my monstrosities.
Wow, an amazing amount of audio, graphical, and programming work done here for a jam! I loved particularly loved the little voice clips when you picked up the bugs as well as the look and feel of the game. I'm also very grateful for the forgiving truck physics or else I would have been upside down quite a lot.
Great entry!
The movement / controls felt great! I liked that the treasure icon would only appear for a short second so you had to be on the lookout instead of just zooming to each treasure. I liked the art as well. Fun game!
I couldn't find any colors to collect, and the game kept stuttering when I needed to jump so I kept falling in the same hole the others are talking about. There is also a strange jittering on a lot of the tiles, but I liked the character art! Also, the web version embedded here wasn't working for me.
Applause is a unique thing to collect! I think the sound effects for the "scare" were a bit much to continuously listen to xD I also agree that the different emotions could be a little more pronounced visually.
There are a surprising amount of airplanes to discover! I remember building some of these as a kid, but there are some that I want to try when I get some paper and space to throw them.
Unique entry!
Really cool that you made it in your own engine! It was an interesting idea playing around with the efficiency of the paths. I think if anything I'd like to see the bees move a little faster.
I loved that the figurine gets put into a cute box at the end! Great looking little game.
I like the pixel art, especially on the character and crystals! Controls felt smooth, maybe a little bit floaty, and a little bit unforgiving on the spike hitbox. It was a neat idea to make throwing the light trigger the spider creatures.
