pretty creative platformer!
LOVED IT! Awesome art, music and mood
Thanks, @zexurge and @smogobingo. You're too kind!
I got the bike! Really creative game. The music is fantastic and I loved the art. Cool take on the theme.
Art is amazing, and I love the soundtrack. It has a really wistful, longing vibe to the game. It was a little frustrating having to go through the loading everytime I was punched by the guy haha
I also glitched through the boundaries a few times and had to restart. Good stuff!
Very nice! I loved it in the moment when the player got up from the chair and started idling in the rhythm of the music (which is very nice btw). It was a bit hard for me and then the freeze time when restarting was a little annoying. Also that, when I made it to the last gap with super jump power, and faild the jump (which i did multiple times :face_palm:) I lost my super jump power and had to go back (maybe a bug?) was annoying. But in the end I got a bike which is great
I never wanted a bike so bad haha The visuals are really beautiful, and enjoyed the small touch with people saying sorry afterwards. Good job!
I enjoyed this, and I thought the message being portrayed was interesting and well-presented. I tried to find the second ending suggested by the launch page by repeatedly backtracking and getting my jump to ridiculous heights, but couldn't find anything by jumping around. I wonder what the second ending is?
Great game, simple and pleasant control. Enemies fire )) But the restart of the level is long, you need to click with the mouse every time, I think it would be better if the level automatically reloaded.
@kamilah, @pimeko — thanks so much! Really glad you enjoyed it!
@johncast123, @mamboman — appreciate it! Yeah, the level loading ended up being a bit more annoying than we expected, haha. @mamboman, we originally planned the ending to happen right at the end of the run, but yeah… it ended up feeling a bit rushed.
@jackofcups — thanks! Once you get the super jump, you can grab the golden dollar on the third screen and skip straight to the final screen with the gap. With the super jump, you’ll be able to reach the bike from there.
@garyglhf — thank you!! You’re totally right, I didn’t even think of that haha. Really appreciate the feedback — I’ll definitely be more mindful of those frustrating bits next time.
Thanks again to everyone for playing — it truly means a lot to us! ❤️
I got a bike! Very nicely put together. I'm not really sure how I got super jump, but it was fun!
The game is really great. I love the soundtrack, it's so good. The minimalistic art style really works well, it's so well done. The message is also really good. Good job on the game!
@archmage-gary, @pixel-studios — thanks so much for playing. You're too kind, glad you enjoyed!
Let me tell gg because I was smiling in front of my computer and I so much fun. Silly storytelling hooked me 10/10
Have to echo what other people said on this one. Nice little platformer, very neat storytelling, and enjoyed it enough to get both endings. Good work!
Really nice art style and music! Unfortunately, I am not good at platformers, so I wasn't able to get past the second level.
I like the look and vibe of this game a lot. I think the gameplay was a bit too precise for the art / hitboxes / physics, though. Restarting with the freezes was a bit rough, but I loved the animations.
Loved the vibes and how chill the game was. Very wholesome and really well put together. Great job!
Amazing work, full of atmosphere. I feel so sorry for the protagonist—everyone seems to be hurting him. Then I realized it might be because the protagonist is too obsessed with his goal and ends up ignoring others’ feelings (after all, he steps on others’ heads), which makes him think everyone is attacking him. Anyway, I hope everyone can get the bicycle (or whatever else) they want.
Here’s a small bug report: After I got the super jump ability, when I picked up the yellow dollar bills, I instinctively pressed ← to go downstairs, which led me to the scene with the wife. Then I ended up under the tree and got stuck. But this didn’t stop me from enjoying this meaningful game!
Love this artwork.. so simple, still nice... Good job
P.S. In third level, I went away from monitor (on the right side) and couldn't come back
I thought it was a bicycle and I'm quite disappointed, jk. Quite a good mood.
I think the graphics was great! It felt very personal. It was really hard to play on the controller for some reason and I was about to give up, but switching to keyboard made it much easier to play for some reason.
I still had to struggle a bit, in part because of hitboxes being a bit large and the lack of coyote time on jumps. I also managed to escape the game on the second level and had to restart. But my biggest gripe was having to use the mouse to restart and being stuck while the character was saying they wanted a bike. With a game that makes you try and retry, having such obstacles each time is problematic.
I did manage to get the bike in the end though. And I did enjoy playing it. So overall still a very nice game.

Very cute! Did manage to break out from some screens which made me have to restart the whole game. But all in all it looks very nice and is a good reminder that materialistic things aren't the cure for happiness! Coyote timer would help a lot!
Damn, I love this.
You've combined platformer and narrative adventure in a very personal and charming way. I like the melancholic style of the graphics, while the music brings a hint of hope to the mix.
The little world feels somehow consistent and "alive". I like the way the workers had left their offices when you returned the same way. It was a nice little piece of environmental storytelling. Simple but effective!
Gameplay-wise it's a bit janky and rough around the edges, but that doesn't take too much away from the experience.
---
You're probably aware of this by now, but you can get softlocked if you fall to the right side when climbing up the office. When backtracking downwards the way seems to be blocked, though.

I also got stuck in the tree the first time I visited this scene.
One improvement would also be the possibility to press RETRY with the keyboard, since you don't really otherwise use the mouse as input.

But yeah, I think this is a beautiful and sincere work of art, and I'm happy I bumped into it. Hope to see more of your stuff in the future!

Keep on jamming!
Beautiful and too real!
Smoth game. I love different people attack styles.
