Really truly innovative - had a lovely time with this one. Loved the art!!! Had some issues at the start since it seemed to only work in fullscreen but the button wouldnt work at first, but after it actually started scrolling the button worked and I was able to play the lyre properly. I'm on Firefox and Windows 11! Lovely stuff :)
The game play is nothing like I've seen before, so creative! I really enjoyed reading the story while playing the lyre, it made the experience much more emotional. The background art perfectly matched the vibe too

Very unique experience, I tried to speedrun the notes, but it turns out you actually need to pluck them on time.
I love these kind of takes on what a videogame is. It is an experience, and this one was performed beautifully
I like chilled games and the art was nice.

Spectacular. Not really a game per se but I love how it simulates playing the lyre to advance the story. (Out of curiosity - is there anything special we need to do once we reach the end, or is it supposed to just stop there?)

@ryusui there is nothing once you get to the bottom. I was planning on having the player come back up, but didn't get to it in time.
Very original!
Congratulations on your originality.
The only comment I have is that the scale is Lydian and not Mixolydian. :)
A unique game that caught my attention. I tried playing without full-screen at first and then realized that it doesn't work that way (though even in that case it was interesting to read the story). Artwork is very impressive. A solid entry.

I love the concept, having the player play the music you have composed is very nice.
The only miss is that reading and playing at the same time is quite hard, it would have been nice to have the text be a voice-over (saying that, I am self-conscious of my own voice and I don't think I would dare have it recorded for all to hear). Also knowing which is the note that I am expected to play next was sometimes hard to guess (If I played to early)
The art is gorgeous, is it physically or digitally painted (if the later, what software are you using ??)
Neat concept! The string pluck physics were really satisfying.

The concept is really cool, I love it ! I agree with what was said before, a dub would have been really nice in addition to the music ! :ok_hand: :sparkles:
wow this is lovely!

Woah, that is a unique game mechanic and idea! Well done!
I really liked this! The concept was interesting, and I liked your take on the theme. I really liked the expressive abstract art on the way down. I'd love to see the end of the story!

@euler-moises apparently modern music modes are not the same as the ancient greek ones despite having the same names. I tried to use the ancient greek one.
@dhim the background is hand painted on paper! I've seen most people play a few notes, take a break and read a bit, then go back to playing notes. But yes a dub would have been awesome.
