That's actually a great game!
Looks very interesting, i like the style. I couldn't progress very far. With 17 i got kicked out of school, but was too young to do anything else, like entering the university. Is it a bug?
@rongo-matane
YES SORRY it's a mistake, you should not be locked out of school before you are 18 (it was set to 17 for some reason). It should be fixed now. You could've also gained age by working in the fast food restaurant to get around it. Anyway I hope you'll give it another go!
Good start. Could be really good with a bit more options.
Finally, a game that allows me to fulfil my life long dream of making G.E.C.G's a reality. Thank you.
But for real, this game was actually really fun, I had one run through to see my options, then restarted to try to live the life I wanted. I'd love to see a concept like this fleshed out in full, with more options and choices to make over your life. Really good. Great interpretation of the theme too btw.
This was awesome, I died researching genetically engineered cat girls! almost got em
LOVED IT! I first studied a little bit of everything, then became a businessman, then became a lockpicker, then became a mercenary, then started renting houses, became a scientist, became a monk, prayed lots, won at lotto, researched cat girls and lived lots of years stealing people's life before dying at prison LOL
Cool game, very long, a lot of content for a jam, Great job!
This is the best take on the theme I have encountered so far! Better life simulator than Sims for sure  Great entry!
That was a depressingly accurate take on the theme, very nice. Of course I knew that my life would be dedicated to engineering those cat girls. So I became a businessman, rented out all the houses to get my science degree and gave humanity the next step in its evolution. Stealing peoples lives didn't turn out that well for me though, still I would do it all over again! :D I really enjoyed all those tiny details you build into the game with the mechanics and the text. The graphics, with all the little animations was really charming. The sound and music fit very well into the game. very impressive entry and best take on the theme i've seen so far! Nice job
Really cool ! I studied art then rented all the houses and finally killed people to see how money could save me. I really liked art, even if it is pretty simple it comes out great on the global of the game. Well done !
Awesome game! This is one of those games you can keep expanding on for the rest of time. An interesting addition would be family and another could be managing a business.
Nice game ! I studied art, science, robbed a house, worked two years in a fastfood restaurant and then i discovered the lottery. It took me ages but i became rich by buying lottery tickets over and over, haha. I had a great time playing, and the game perfectly fits the theme. oh and the music is really cool. Congrats for your entry !
This game is great! I quite enjoyed managing my life. A couple of bugs I had were: the age stealing gun didn't work and after killing a target it still said they were my target. Great game overall!
@sockyman That's odd, I've never had any issues with the gun. Do you mean it couldn't shoot or it didn't reduce your age? Had the gun turned blue in color?
As for the target, yeah every sim gets their name randomly from a list and sometimes there can be multiple sims with the same name. Not really a bug but definitely an oversight.
This is awesome, my favorite game so far this jam. The art and the mechanics are simple but work so well. Sound is good too. I'd also like to see more options, though it makes me wonder how much a game like this could be expanded without losing its simple charm (I think the fast pace is part of the appeal, but you could probably maintain that while giving more options.)
This is the best game I played so far.
Very good game really enjoyed it :d21ffb0ee427a02e0cc12c90b0ca64c97.png
Got a degree in everything, bought every house and rented them all, invented cat people, and then used a reverse aging device to do it all over again. I love the game, and the art style is nice. I like the variety of things there are to do. It does get a bit boring after you become immortal through using the life-stealer gun and have plenty of money to buy your way out of the warrants. Overall, I enjoyed the game.
I gave it another shot! This time i was able to finish school, because i focused on learning. Quickly i learned, that lock picking is a stable source of income. Way better than that though, is playing the lottery. As it seems, in the long run the player always wins. I was able to amass a fortune, buy some properties and get amazingly educated. The rest of my life i spent applying for reasearch funds and mostly getting denied, to achieve my life goal of creating cat girls. However, none of my 5 houses rented out ever paid any rent, so i died an old man, with nothing in my hands than my trusty lockpick. A beautiful story in my eyes:D
Nice entry! A lot of content for a jam for sure. I liked the mood, graphics+music made me think about Undertale (though the rest of the game has nothing to do with it). Perfect use of the theme! It could be a very nice concept for a full game, as most of RPG show characters with no age evolution, although you spend hundred of hours on it.
This is such a great concept! Wish I had PC so I could play it, looks awesome
Rly Nice Game
I really enjoyed your game, it was fun even walking around! Great job!
Fun game, liked the way you used the theme. Thought the old school GTA vibe worked well and really helped set the mood.
Very fun game, I got to draw a lot of beautiful art and even research cat girl and all the people turned to kitties :)
I spent my life on *stuff* and now I'm fulfilled! Seeing that last comment, however, I feel I probably spent it on the wrong thing not turning everybody into cats! But I studied all the subjects, bought all the lottery tickets (for naught), bought and rented out every property, and did all the artsing before slipping into slumber! No murder sprees for me. Nice to have the choice! Great entry! Neat wiggly art and a good beat. Great work!
