Another problem is sound of picking an item plays unexpectedly sometimes.
Impressive Graphic! It feels a lot like Flappy Bird to me (at least that's how it plays).
@akuta-zehy yeah the item pickup sound effect was to tell you your health has regenerated when you go back to home base, but we didn't have a separate sound for it, so it's a lil confusing 😭
Nice game! The graphics are really nice, and that background music is fire. Was a little disappointed at first because I thought I was the crow with the necklace and the bitchin hat, but then again, if I had those, why would I need to steal a crown? Overall a fun game, great job!
It's a very funny game)))) But it didn't immediately become clear to me where I had the points for which I could buy upgrades ((( Very small letters
Enjoyed it - took me a minute to realise that dying loses half your inventory. Is there another shop part-way, so you have to choose between pushing on and going back?
Love the concept. Would be nice if you could dive onto the heads of the humans to stun them. Great entry regardless!

@thingus hmm that's an interesting idea. Also yeah, it would've been nice to fit some sort of indication you lost half your items on death 😔 but we just didn't end up getting around to it. Glad you enjoyed it though!
@paroxysmal we were originally gonna setup some ways you could fight the enemies but we cut it due to time constraints. We kinda just went forward with the player being vulnerable which I think turned out well!
This game is fun, with challenging gameplay and a satisfying progression that keeps me hooked. The music has a unique charm too!
I like that flappy bird has finally evolved into a proper metalhead crow!
I got the shiny!! This is a really pretty game and quite fun too! I was confused about the +1 health from inventory at first, as I thought I found some special item that gives me health and was sad when I thought I accidentally sold it haha. Are you thinking of developing the game further? I think with some more polish this could be something I'd spend hours playing:)

Enjoyed the gameplay loop and nice artwork. After getting a few upgrades I tried to go as far as I could, but wow, the humans later on are like elite snipers with ultra fast rocks lol!

@emilija-marija Thanks for playing! Yeah we could've done much better explaining the mechanics, the inventory grants you 1 extra health for every 5 items you're carrying, just to add a little more flavor to the gameplay loop. The team is currently taking a break from the two-day crunch, so any thoughts on further development will have to come after that.
An interesting concept with excellent execution. I appreciate the soundtrack and graphics.

I just want to say that the music is super great. The intense music as you collect items. The sounds are fantastic. The pick-up sound effect is satisfying. I appreciate the addition of an extra heart for every 5 items. I enjoy the gameplay loop.
Really cool entry! I enjoyed the dive and flap mechanics — they felt great to use. The art was fantastic, especially the background — a clever way to keep it visually appealing while staying minimal. The tiles looked great too!

The movement / controls felt great! I liked that the treasure icon would only appear for a short second so you had to be on the lookout instead of just zooming to each treasure. I liked the art as well. Fun game!
Super fun! I love the art and music. At the beginning I kept thinking I could attack things since that dive feels like an attack. I was also confused the first time my inventory was full and I didn't realize at first that I had to manually sell my inventory. But I love the crow as a collector (of shiny things.) Great use of the theme.
I have to admit that the game is pretty good. I really like the graphics, and it has the classic gameplay you'd expect with this theme. Good job 👍

I really love the creative concept here! It's so original and interesting. The colors feel a bit unbalanced to me, and the execution is a little rough, but the core idea is fantastic. With a bit more polish, this could be amazing!

SPOILOR ALERT. Initially I thought i should collect the shiny and offer it to the throne man. Felt impossible to me.but then my friend accidently picked up his crown and it was worth 100000 coins and it just made so much more sense.Love this design<333
The rock throwers were surprisingly tricky to dodge, but those arrow dudes were on a whole other level. Loved the art. Got the shiny and celebrated. Very cute game.

The movement of the game is super smooth. The dive feels awesome. Like the shiny only light up somtimes (would be cool when crow is above it in air). The upgrade dive could be an attack for fun. Good use of parallax background. Cool music and matching sound effects. Good jam !
This was fun! Graphics are neat, and the guards aim is on point (they still can't hit the unpredictable dive-flap combo hehehe). I especially like the crows and shinies combo :)
There is a small issue that's been pointed out before, with the ' symbol in the shop. I've dealt with it once before xD. In case you haven't solved it yet, it's pretty annoying to catch, since it's "not an issue because it works as intended hurr durr", and it doesn't throw any warnings. Here is the thread about it https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/78921, you can fix it by setting the fallback fonts manually in the font resource in the Godot editor. Hope this helps!
Very nice game! Pleasant controls, excellent graphics and music, and the core concept of playing as a crow collecting trinkets is quite unusual! Great job!

Beautiful visuals, great music, and super fun crow mechanics. I had a lot of fun with the movement and especially with the dive bomb. A few UI clarifications and tweaks to pacing would make it shine even more (the run back once your inventory is full could be streamlined). Overall Great job!

The font on the UI is a bit hard to read and understand, but everything else is great! I especially love the crow, also the map is beautiful, and the music is cheerful!
The concept of dodging bullets and enemies while collecting loot is indeed very good. However, the relatively slow horizontal movement speed and faster vertical movement speed at the start of the game, combined with somewhat unsuitable sound effects, make the controls feel a bit awkward initially. But once the corresponding upgrades are obtained, the controls suddenly become very satisfying, especially when facing numerous tracking enemies and fast projectiles, snatching the crown from the boss, and returning – this feeling is quite thrilling. In terms of art, I feel that the numerical displays in the UI need improvement. Sometimes the numbers are all jumbled together, making it a bit difficult to tell how much money is left to spend or how much more is needed to upgrade items.
This was cool! One of my favs in mood so far, and fun to play. I found myself trying to be as fast as I could, so walking that slow was frustrating (but this is just very personal). The crow and magpies are great examples of collectors also. Good job!
Text is a bit hard to read in the trade/shop but gameplay is really good and the upgrades are very noticeable which I appreciate!
Really solid entry!!! I don't find myself playing through the full length of Jam games often when you need to reach a certain score or a certain amount of things, but this one kept me engaged and wanting to explore more and try out the new abilities! The style is also gorgeous and the concept in general of a crow yoinking shiny things just works really well for this. Great job guys :D
At first, I tried attacking enemies by diving down, but for some reason I thought it was a form of attack and not a dodge :)
I liked how the rock throwers try to predict their direction.
The guys with the bow are really tough.
I flew with a crown and 1 HP, frantically pressing up and down to avoid getting hit, and I finished the game.
Special respect for the graphics

a complete game, well done! I first didn't get how to move properly but then it was perfect. I really like the fact that we are a crow collecting stuff like they do IRL, it adds coherency!
Well done on the graphics and atmosphere side, don't know if there would've been much more that could've been added in terms of gameplay but it did feel a bit dry after a while. The upgrades are almost always a good idea in a game like this, so props for that.

One of my favourite entries. Polished controls, great visuals, cool music, and very likeable characters :)
But at first I was a bit confused, as I didn't see the C on the walls, and thought I need to dive the shinies when they shine, and when they hide it is already too late. Later I revisited controls on the page. Also if I didn't see someone here in the comment section mentioning the Crown, I wouldn't know there is one, but I liked the game this much that I would farm 10 000 gold anyway :heart:
Had so much fun with this one! Gameplay was engaging and I thought the movement was well executed. Music was a bop too. Great job.

Movement felt great. It took me a few runs to realize what was happening, but i figured it out on my own. I like managed to beat it with only the first 4 upgrades since i didnt realize you could scroll until i got the crown, so probably made it a bit harder on myself.
Funny and super cute game! It was a lot of fun to collect all the shiny things - especially the 'rightful' crown. :smile: :crown:
Cute game - I missed the tutorial instruction with the "C" because it's not very visible. I wish collecting the coins would be possible by diving, and not by stopping. The flying felt so good it was a shame to stop every second :)
Very tight controls, it was satisfying to evade things especially with the dive mechanic. Wish the map was longer

Cool game and idea! Looks and feels very polished! Took me a bit to understand how to collect the trinkets(thought that dive was for that or for attacking enemies) and that I collected not coins but items to sell but I figured it out and managed to upgrade crow! Great job!
Great entry, game length was also super perfect for a jam game. Stayed motivated till the end to get all upgrades + get the final crown =)
This is really smartly designed and thought-out. The music is really catchy too! It's also perfectly on theme! I found the controls a little difficult but maybe 'cos I'm used to WASD? Overall, really fun!
I had a great time playing! The diving mechanic is great, makes dodging feel quite fun and intense. I like the art style quite a bit too, looks nice and you can tell what's going on pretty easily.

My favoure game this ludum! I've had an idea of a corvidae collecting shiny items so it was fun to see what it might've looked like had we gone down this route :)
Mechanics are fun and responsive, especially with dive and ability to soar. Right now I'm trying to get the crown without any upgrades -- and on an attempt between writing the sentences I actually managed to do it ^^ It's interesting to see how the game plays different because the enemy birds are in a different place each time. I'm not going to attempt hitless ^^' though with upgrades it should be easier (or now that I think about it, I could've got an extra heart from picking up the shinies)
I wish there was a goofy walking or hopping animation :D Some of the feedback could be clearer (how many items can the crow hold, a heart per 5 items, losing half the inventory on death) but it was also fun to discover all of that.
Oh, and the music and sounds are great too!
