Gorgeous minigame. In my opionion, a perfect example of overall simple but fun and well polished jam prototype. I loved the graphics, I find the style very effective. Good job!

This is quite nice and interesting! Lovely art. I'm not sure why I can't rate the game
Love this game! Hard but fun, keeps a good pace. Some weapons confused me at times but the gameplay idea is great. I expected more variety in the game loop track, but this is really a tiny detail.
@wazce @httpsterio @upcharlie @codeman1010 @sven-schoeling thank you for all these useful feedbacks! We really had no time to balance things, so I'm glad the overall experience is still nice. I hope more playtest will help us next time. The actual effect of the bark should be pushing sheeps a little away and break the chain between wolf's bite and a sheep. We initially thought of giving Dog a direct counter-attack against the wolves, but it seemed to make the game too easy. I agree hitboxes can be refined, and the edges too xD
Not patient enough to seek for all the pearls, but I enjoyed this chilly game. Loved the music and the effects (maybe a little tuning between the two to make one of them stand out would be perfect). Very nice map, required me concentration and memory. A faster reload after you drown would be also a nice refinement. Great work!!
I must admit I liked the game, kept me non-stop for an hour o_o I survived 2 nights first to understand how to play, then a tenth more before stopping myself. The soundtrack made me somewhat both anxious and motivated, I liked it. The graphics is not very clear, it could benefit of some more contrast in my opinion. Simple and nostalgic gameplay, engaging but slow... I stopped playing primarly because it was taking too long to try all the upgrades! Overall, great job :D
Amazing concept! Reminded my very first courses about calculators algebra and assembly. Very nice visuals and sound. I may have found a bug: when failing a task in print, the card in the deck was not interactable (pushing buttons didn't work). In my opinion there should be some more explaination of the commands in Shift. I had to figure them out myself, and doing reverse engineering is boring. Overall very good job though!
That's indeed a hard game for me! But I liked it a lot. The idea of terraforming areas for the limited space theme is pretty original! The gameplay is well executed for the jam, though it's very difficult to understand where the eyes are and spawn, I often got game over for something behind me with no clue.
I totally love the music and the sound fx is put nicely (more feedback for actions would be great).
Also, I used Unreal too so I'm pretty inspired by how you managed things here! Good job!
I totally love the end game, perfectly fits the context  very simple game and the "narrative idea" is just super fun! You did great in packaging the little level content in such a solid game. Good job
Literally the most hilarious game I played so far  Congratulations on graphics and music, and the captivating UI! The game flow is addicting too. I wish you to release the full game!
A very well executed game! Awesome art with an old but gold strong concept. Unfortunately I was alone while playing so it didn't come up for a great challenge, but I enjoyed it so far. I'll try later with friends. Some more feedback and in-game tips and features like a minimap navigator could have helped.
Super nice job guys!
I really like the archery idea. The mechanics seem quite solid, and the low poly graphics very cute. Even if HUD and UI has been kept minimal as in the context of the jam, the progression is made clear and engaging. Good job!
I speedrun the game a bit, but I was pleased by how smoothly it flows, also in the embedded web version. I encountered no bugs, the balancing was nice, the controls clear (I would just recommend inreasing the font). Had lot of fun playing the game and loved the mood! I appreciated the narrative into the diaries that just fit into the context. Pretty cute graphics and sound too (I love comics-style storyboards). Good job guys :D
So simple yet so effective! I was totally engaged and survived for 131 seconds. Now I see double
Well done!
If this is your idea of unpolished game, I don't know what would happen with a polished one! Very cute art, lovely music and effective sound. I'd like to praise the way you arranged the tutorial, which was clear and solid (I would just add a "back option" in case of misclick, or a summary page accessible throughout the levels).
Very clever game design too: even if apparently the level mentioned by @pipima wasn't meant to be a "skip-only" one, it seemed intentional to me while playing, because a solution given by doing nothing can be indeed a valuable one. Just my opinion though!
Overall great entry and best whishes on your LD streak!
The game's mood and visuals are really good. I'd love to see more levels, but this is ok for little game jams and I tend to reward simple yet solid prototypes. I would suggest to spare a little time in the future to introduce some audio, even minimal, because it can really make the difference.
Overall nice entry and good solo job!
One of my favorite games so far in terms of art quality, mood and animations! The style is lovely and the interactions are fluid and elegant. The music is very relaxing.
I'd only suggest to put more attention on game design in the future: the main mechanic is clear, but the player doesn't feel engaged in the game if there is no feedback about how are they doing, be it good or bad. Cats seem always happy, so you can't "lose"; neither there is a reward if you perform well.
Overall very nice entry, I think you have great potential :D
Very solid game overall and nice level design and graphics. I sincerly would have liked more audio feedback and some ambience sound or music, becuase without that the experience felt barely immersive. I loved the hidden mural that you find if you explore every corner (won't spoiler)
I love the art in this game and the general mood of it. I'd appreciate more music and sound fx variation, but it's quite ok for the jam context. Very nice mix between the two minigames: the fact the more food you can stack the more you can try to eat later was not obvious to me at first.
I experienced a few strong freezes on my browser, especially in the first part. I agree with others claiming you can easily "break" the gameplay because letting food go straight usually works, but in the end the game grants fun.
The illustrated tutorial is just amazing. Good job guys!!
I like the idea, though I don't get too much the connection with the theme except for the few books you can carry and the decreasing velocity (simple but clever). Everything worked fine: sometimes books would spawn on shelves making them impossible to reach, but I don't know if it's a bug or a feature. Some game loop music would have been great. Overall nice entry to play!
I like this game a lot because it delivers fun through a simple concept. The audio recalls iconic race game music quite well.
The background grid just got me headaches xD I would also suggest to make the endgame faster, without waiting for the motorcycle to stop. A "restart level" shortcut would be nice too. Lovely entry overall!
Thank you everyone! Mat the cat is very happy you liked its game ^w^
@daveranan thanks for the suggestion! Actually we didn't focus on the bar's usability, we can improve it for sure
@maksimj sorry for the weird collisions, I can confirm that some of them weren't that straight. To answer your doubt: you should jump INTO the fridge to trigger the end game
Thank you all for your useful comments! We have limited time to catch up and polish our game, so sorry for delayed answers.
@portalis I'm happy other cat-themed-game developers appreciate our game! We all have room for improvement and I think details are important in the process. Wish the best for your lovely game too!
@nirlandec yes it is xD the props are mostly from the UE starter content and sketchfab, except the cat and UI as noted (that's why we opted out from Graphics). Thanks for the environmental feedback, we'll try to spend some more effort about that!
@jk5000 @lastuck happy you liked the game! There is indeed a bug that prevents the cat from "properly touching" the food, which is not ok because the hunger increases a lot in the meanwhile. We hope to upload a patch solving this.
@notnasiul I'm very sorry for that... I'm a newbie in Unreal so I'm aware the game may be poorly optimized, plus it can't be packaged for browsers like I've always done when working with other engines. I'm committed to improve in order to deliver more easily accessible versions in the future!
@dod108 we based every effect on a timer that should run instantly, if not so I'll have a check. I'm aware this method is fast but not optimal, so we'll try to implement a smoother solution. Thank you for the feedback!
@lincolnsalles as I mentioned earlier, I am aware that the game is poorly optimized agaist the cumbersome defaults of Unreal: it is definitely possible to shrink the package a lot with the right adjustments. I was also naively disappointed when I discovered that UE5 can't natively export to WebGL... during the jam, so no time for these tweaks (at least for a newbie). So far, I always cared to publish jam games on browsers. You made some very good points and your feedback helps me to understand that trying UE5 wasn't the best choice in the Ludum Dare context, I hope to do better as I progress with learning :)
@donut-team @erkberg @stellar-lily happy you liked the game and the audio! We wrote down your bug reports, hopefully we'll work on them on a post-jam version, along with proper optimizations
@kanity the game was somewhat designed to be hard, but a finer tuning is indeed required (e.g. collisions, anxiety/hunger influences)
I loved the premises of your interepretation, but I was a little confused about how you wanted to pack them up. The minigames are nice, but fast and without without feedbacks. I felt no sense of losing something, which seemed central at first.
Nonetheless I experienced no bugs and the game was fluid, so I'm sure you'll do better and better
Going around the various rooms wasn't particularly challenging, but the pace was overall enjoyable! I appreciated the fact that the pistol would not last a lot. It wasn't that difficult to manage the inventory wisely.
Great upsides: quite solid game (bugs apart), lovely graphics and mood, clear instructions. Very good job overall!
This game perfectly reflects my idea of "good jam game": a single and relatively simple design idea developed in a solid, smooth and polished game. It is fun to play, it has lovely graphics and audio, nice transitions and attention to detail.
Great job :v:
That's really an awesome game for a jam! I immediately felt vibes of A Short Hike, which is one of my favorite indie games, while the music kind of remembered me Untitled Goose Game. The mood is just perfect (according to my personal taste, at least) and dialogues are funny.
I must point out the sea props covered the tree island entirely, and randomly a bit of shore of other islands. I appreciated the role-playing mechanic with the fish but I am not sure how it fit in the context except for the meme.
Maybe the map is too big in the sea, it's easy to get lost and most of my time is spent just navigating. I understand it could a feature, but I would just revise it a bit to preserve the game's pace.
Overall real good job guys
I really liked the game! Kinda cute and fun to play. I struggled with controls at first, but recovered fast. Unfortunately I'm bad at packaging things in real life so it took me time  I noticed that if the timer expires it starts getting negative numbers so I can't lose.
Very nice concept overall!!
The idea seems interesting, yet I can't fully understand how you implemented it. Some more instructions are needed (always write down controls for example) and some feedback for the player too: you could add a "score", or set a threshold of information that could overwhelm/save the character... just as example. The game is smooth and the mechanic of acceptance/refusal is clear, which is good. I think there is much room for improvement, so keep up creating :)
Very nice development of the usual idea of warehouse, fit the theme perfectly! Graphics were pretty lovely too.
So bad there is no audio, it would have made the game loop much more flowing. Also, some "end game condition" would have been appreciated: for example, losing when you finish the cash and go, say, bankrupt; tiers of money amount, or a leaderboard, to give the player some achievement to see.
I was immediately cuptured by the tetris: I would suggest some minimal variation in the pieces (even the same object rotated). Overall a very good entry for the jam!
This game is genious, I could not concentrate on items to collect bacause of the generated chat  I love the concept, I love the music and art, I love the mood! And it was super easy to play, I am sure I picked things quite randomly at some point just to see what happened. You guys did a great job!!
"Staaamps!"
The idea of using stamps could seem trivial, but I really loved how you transformed it in this roll-a-ball game. I think it has everything done right, well polished; maybe the pause menu is kinda small but the functionality is there, ok then.
I found the moving camera adding difficulty to the game, but it did not bother me. The paths are clear after a couple of attempts. Also, stamps impede you but rolling is fairly easy.
Special thanks to your dubbing! It really adds fun and fills you with determination. Very good job overall :D
I'm not sure about my feelings now  this game is very well executed, I'll admit that the gore added persoality to a classical puzzle/tetris game. Understanding the controls was not easy for me (and I cannot understand how to deal with multiple players) but I made it.
Very cool entry, so congrats! Best of luck for the next compo!
Good old' game, and way too hard for me  too fast, some tiles were maybe misplaced, weird walls on left and right... but I really enjoyed it though and laughed a lot! I also spent time just looking at the animation of the goblin looking at you perplexedly, waiting for your input. Menu transitions are very smooth and I liked the sound design!
This is one the best-packed games I played in this jam! Very fluid, easy to understand, fun to play and sticked to the theme. I immediately thought of tv shows of that sort, which I used to find cool. Praises to the entry music, I loved it! Good job
p.s. I was lucky to find the mysterious Unit-Y room among the first ones! Lovely easter egg, shame I could not buy it xD
I really like your funny wall-of-text, but the steps that were so clear there became very confusing when put in action in the real game. Also, the central part about watching kids flow quickly got kinda boring due to the lack of graphic or auditory feedback. I would suggest to add a reset/give up button because it's very easy to waste the first runs on unrewarding routes. I would also diminish the time before the curfew strikes to make the gameplay a bit faster and more enjoyable.
However, I loved your idea and concept  keep up with games (and descriptions) like this!
I finally play this game and I LOVE it! I couldn't stop laughing for the dubbing, you guys really nailed it! Great audio quality and balance with the sounds. The playtrough is smooth and immediately understandable, the graphics is very nice and the creatures are hilarious. Really a great entry
Hello @ljol3 and sorry for the very late response! We're so glad you like the game, bird owners are the very best welcome  congratulations alsom because the cockatiel call is maybe the hardest to find!
You deserve to know, as a hint, that sequences can be of different length (the cockatiel makes 5 sounds, the Cuckoo 3 and the buzzard 4). The buzzard's call goes up and down twice
Thank you @xhadie for enjoying the game and sharing your feedback and suggestions!! We considered letting the players call more birds at a time, but then our jam time ran out xD
@kahztein that would be a nice idea, thank you for sharing! @yibirabbit007 you can use P only after you managed to call a bird on the terrace 😃 and yes, only W,A,S,D can be used to combine sounds for a melody
@cassowary @local-minimum and @chuchugeralt thank you for your critical feedback! It's true, unfortunately we couldn't provide a better feedback mechanism for letting the player understand how to deal with the sequence. I notice many have this problem and the game ends up being harder than expected. As some of you say, just some sound or text on screen to see what you are doing could have helped. As usual, time was against us, but we will try our best to imporve in this regard!
This is a very cool game! I easily found myself looking to those skulls in anger  the gameplay though is very fluid so I didn't find it too frustrating. It's a nice take on the theme!
I made it to the end of the game, and it really gave me vibes of depression. I feared the character would have harmed themselves in some way at some point. The repetition and the soft music capture give a very good glimpse of this kind of psycological pain. I wish you all the best in continuing the project's narrative! Good job!
This game is kinda interesting! Maybe the tip panel was a bit buggy since it stays in the foreground even when empty or repeating, while I could not restore it once closed. I don't think I undertood your take on the theme, but it was nice to play overall. I like the soundtrack a lot!
This was cool! One of my favs in mood so far, and fun to play. I found myself trying to be as fast as I could, so walking that slow was frustrating (but this is just very personal). The crow and magpies are great examples of collectors also. Good job!
I am impressed by the amount of content you put in this game. The visuals are stunning and the tutorial is maybe the richest I've ever seen in a jam. I kept dying but overall it was fun xD
As a developer that has already used UE in a jam, I'd like to suggest giving a look at how to optimize the packages next time. Big downloads penalized me as well in previous ludum dare-s! But you deserve your game to be played :D
This is perfect to remind me I love platformers but I am utterly bad at them xD Very good take for a first-time game jam, especially since you are solo! Controls are minimal but they work smoothly. What you see is what you get, the game never crashes, so well done mate. I'd suggest you to plan some checkpoints next time, to make the experience a bit less frustrating. Also don't forget to add any sound/music, even if you don't create it yourself: we won't rate you for it but the games get more fun to play :D
