The art and sound effects both have a retro pixel console style! And I love that it has a little touch of gore.

damn that was cool! i love the art style and the gore :D the "little" detail on the torso was a jump scare :p but funny!
This is so nostalgic ^^ I love it
Was an interesting version of tetris, enjoyed the old school feel and control scheme!
Great puzzle game!
I love the style and unique concept. The controls felt a little sluggish. Would have really liked to be able to use mouse controls. Had trouble reaching 100% on all the levels. Would have helped to be able to remove body parts already placed since the learning process involved a lot of trial and error.
I'm totally into this retro art style! The combination of corpses and the collector element is so darkly hilarious, and the music just amps up that feeling... Even though I'm not great at this kind of game, I can't stop laughing... It's freaking amazing that one person made such a cool piece!
Honestly, I was hesitant at first because of the design. But when I played it, I really liked it. Well done!
Nice Game. Art goes well with the theme and retro style. For me the control was however to slow.
Pretty strange game — though I do love collecting tiles :) Overall, not bad!
Oh!!! A real St. Petersburg resident's Tetris )))
A very interesting take on this type of a game and theme. Absolutely do not have the brains or the patience to play puzzle games for more than a few levels, but I can see that this is one of the more well made ones. The style of graphics was quite nice, then again, pico-8 has a bit of a tendency to create unique looking games.
Yeah I don't know... Graphics is cool but theme is kinda gross a bit
The graphics are nice, but the controls aren't very good. Try using a mouse next time.
Interesting take on the theme. Two nitpicks: I found the cursor is a bit too slow for my taste, and the pool of parts felt a bit too "samey" from level to level. But other than that I think this is an interesting concept, and the gory pixel art works very well. Nice entry!
I would like to know how you came up with the idea for this game? It's really original and you stick to your concept until the end. Afterwards, I agree that the controls are a little strange, it would be worth thinking about how to make them more spontaneous and more fluid. Always a pleasure to see a pico 8 game!
A well-made inventory-management game. Packing up corpses is a bit dark, but it definitely sparks the imagination—and it’s fun to play.
Great puzzle game with a delightfully dark sense of humor, plus solid visuals and sound design.
Well, I'm not very comfortable using the arrow keys to control it. If there’s plenty of time, switching to a mouse is a good choice. I came here from your blog and only played for a short while. It’s the middle of the night in my time zone, and playing felt a bit strange, like I was a thief, becoming an accomplice in collecting corpses (XD
It has a very unique style, and the backpack management feature turns it into a very interesting little game. Collecting the corpses reminds me of scavengers, which is really cool. I like it.
Reminds me of old school Resident Evil inventory management, that was pretty fun. The choice of body parts is interesting to say the least, and the pixel art is well executed. Gameplay wise, it would have been interesting if we could rotate the body parts (with an outline showing their orientation). In any case, good job making this on your own!
Cool game. Level design was really good but only got to see the spines once.
This is really cool. I think I'm going to use PICO-8 next time. This is the second game that I've seen made with PICO-8 and I love the style. I played the crap out of this and really enjoyed. It's perfect. =)

Great game o_0
I have questions, but I don't think I want answers.
It was a pretty funny game (*´ω`*)
I really liked the gory aspect - it definetly makes your game stand out thematically a lot. And imo sorting corpses in such relaxing manner is pretty hilarious. I thought controls were fine, once you get used to them, they are pretty neat. Considering the way you take the hold of the object and coresponding it to the grid would have addeed a nice challenge to the game, if you ever get a goal for that.
The only thing I was really missing is some kind of additional rule or condition I need to fulfill in order to proceed to the next stage. Maybe you need to stuff at least a certain % of your corpses to be able to proceed. Or maybe having an x amount of corpses on hand makes you fail. -- Without such condition you can very much just skip through the game without doing anything, which allows a player to give your game no justice. (Which is very sad!) (While playing I also had no real reason to purge corpses, instead I just let them pile up freely. Maybe having some kind of stakes in place would give you a reason to use this mechanic more.)
Overall it was a super funny and relaxing entry with a very unique twist I liked a lot (*´ω`*)
Thank you so much for making it, Please have great time jamming! (*´ω`*)

Probably this is the most gruesome jam entry I've ever played. Anyways, good puzzle game! I've accidentally purged at wrong times but finally managed to learn how to play the game. I think rotating piece is off the table but I wish there would be better way to view available parts to plan better.
Game jams - come for the insane ideas, stay for the brilliant _execution_ (pun not intended but fits this game particularly well). :smiling_imp:
I liked your space game the last time and it's nice to see that you're sticking with Pico-8. When I think of Pico, I think of cute, colourful games (like our entry!), but apparently it's also possible to use that cute colour pallette to make someone physically disgusted.
I'm not a fan of horror games myself but I can appreciate that you put your heart (or at least someone's body parts) into this game and your love for corpse-stashing really shines through!
Body part Tetris? Dark originality.
I love Pico8 games. One day I'll make a game on that program.
Congratulations!
I'm not sure about my feelings now  this game is very well executed, I'll admit that the gore added persoality to a classical puzzle/tetris game. Understanding the controls was not easy for me (and I cannot understand how to deal with multiple players) but I made it.
Very cool entry, so congrats! Best of luck for the next compo!
