VERYYYYYYYYYYYY NICE GAME BRO !!!
Very fresh take on crafting!
This was fun! It was really fun to try to figure out the different ingredients needed to make the foods. I really like the art style!

Loved playing it - it was a lot of fun XD
Such a fun game - super polished too. Lots of variety for such a short about amount of time. Nice work! : )
The graphics are so cute. I envy your creativity with mashing up food and plants. Amazing job.
Nice entry - no idea how to make half of the things so resorted to feeding my new friend toxic waste well done image_2023-01-10_002704133.png
omg @phillip-scott that is just absolutely hilarious! 43 waste harvested hahahahaha!
Very cute music! I made it to level 2, and it had a very nice UI, I enjoyed playing your game.
Fun! I loved the visuals, the monster was cute and the weird food plants are cool. Having the food items be little rigidbodies was a nice touch, too. I didn't know how to do some of the recipes - having some kind of guide might be nice, but more likely I needed to experiment more. The one thing I feel like could use some work is the challenge aspect, as it stands there's no real penalty to getting anything wrong, other than lost time. That's a pretty small issue in the grand scheme, though, especially for a jam game. Nice work!
I loved the game, REALLY wanted a cookbook of some sort just to find all the combos. I think if you went with a more sci-fi look it would totally jive. Love it~!

I ate way too much suspicious glorp! Love the style, art and humour - at first I was super confused but enjoyed the process of figuring it out! I wasnt sure if there was gonna be fail state when the board was full of toxic barrels but liked the fact I could fight it all back. Nice work!
I love that you show statistics on the victory screen! Far too many games just *end* you know? I definitely had a hard time figuring out some of the recipes. (and in the end I still never figured out some of them) but I had a lot of fun. The sound effects are cute, and the monster is a fun little guy. I really enjoyed this one! Great work.
Thanks for the kind words @100th-coin . We haven't checked out your game yet but plan on doing it. We've had some ideas for improvements, based on feedback so far, and some sort of recipe book is high on the list.
The game is a nice and relaxing thinking game where you have to figure out the ingredients. It was initially confusing about exactly what I needed to do, but it was a pretty nice game when I figured it out. I'm not entirely sure about the toxic barrels, mostly about how to get rid of them without losing my progression bar.
Overall, a pretty decent and relaxing game.
this was such a cute game! :) loved the puzzling aspect of the recipe. i discovered a strategy where you click on another ingredient immediately after harvesting it. that way, a toxic barrel won't grow. that was interesting because i had to plan ahead and figure out what ingredients i needed more of! i think that the ability to remove ingredients off your plate would've been nice but otherwise, i really enjoyed it :) congrats!
Really clever game, reminds me of doodle god a bit. Like how you used the theme. graphics are fantastic, just really well made.
I had a really long time to find my first recipe (for example I kept putting multiple potatoes instead of just one for the fries), I tough it was broken but the comments on this page make me persevere.
Then I figured out and it was really fun !
The visuals are so cute, a little nice game, thank you :)
@digitaldude555 I kind of had doodle god in my head after we came up with the idea. I even redownloaded onto my phone to show the team. Thank you for playing and commenting. :)
Thanks for your comments and feedback, everyone! This is our second game jam ever and I’m glad we got something out of it yet again. It was my first time animating. I used Procreate and then did some technical stuff in Photoshop CC. Next time, I’d like to shade the monster before pushing the work to the team, because I ran out of time to go back and redo it. Haha. Thanks everyone!
For those who rarely cook, this game makes you want to confess
Fun little concept, I definitely got confused a bunch about which to combine to get what food out of it though haha.
@leoatopos 😂😂😂 did you manage to make a hotdog?
@shadowbrain was it frustrating or was that part of the fun?
Thanks for the suggestion of a game to play on mobile! It worked great!
Really nice simple little game, just what my brain needs right now, with enough logic to keep me engaged. Really charming drawings/ animations. Great job!
I've played Doodle god and it reminds me that. I like monsters faces and food plants. i've play waaaay to much to find all receipes. Not even close. thank you.
Extremely creative game. I liked the controls and the sound itself. The graphics are functional, and the gameplay is pretty solid. I had some difficulty understanding how the recipes should be made in some cases, but overall I had fun. Good work.
Recipes got difficult at stage 3, but I enjoyed it all the way
Looks like a lot of work was put into the food combos, it was difficult at times to know what combo made up what food but good to have no death/lose scenario in this case.
Love the sprites of crop growing! Cute!
I was at first kind of confused with the aboveground potatoes though. Maybe it needs a little more twist to be aboveground, such as the potato is a flower bud and it can slice itself to sticks XD
You are an artiste! This is a really good entry and I enjoyed it a lot. =D
Very cute game and really well presented. Gameplay is solid and quite fun, but my complaint is that it was really hard to figure out some of the recipes. They were not immediately obvious, which is fine and promotes discovery, but even after some attempts I would still not get it and it felt frustrating, especially since we sort of were under time pressure (and the field got filled rather quickly). Making the mechanics obscure can work well in a timer-less puzzle game, e.g. in the witness, but not as much on here I think. Not sure if the hard to figure out recipes were intended or not, but definitely a sticking point. Overall a pretty fun game and definitely a very solid entry!
really fun cooking game ! I tried to unlock all the recipes, and i didn't find how to cook some of them. (the ball in the spoon for exemple). great ideas brought to the cooking game genre.

Fun and cute little game! It wasn't super clear how the game progressed and what's the meaning of the toxic waste ingredients. But I do like the aspect of having to figure out the recipes and remember how each one is made. Good job!
Very cool and fun game! It took me a while to figure out the recipes for some items and some I couldn't figure out but it's pretty interesting having to figure out the recipe and remember it to feed the monster, it provides a challenge in the game. The graphics are very nice and polished, the sounds matched the gameplay. Good job!
Such an awesome little game. Love how polished it is and i love the artstyle and the fresh new take on the theme. Would definitely play a full length version if it ever gets polished a bit more. Well done!
Nice concept I love the style of the art as well good job :)
The visuals work perfectly with the mechanic of choosing the right the ingredients! :ok_hand: And special mention for the monster's animations
@lukuluk thanks so much! I have never really done animation before but I am a huge appreciator of it. So... first time for everything. Our usual animator, @add-art (UI design and all other art for this game), cheered me on :)
Nice game! I like the graphics; bet you have a designer on board? Nice to find out the recipes time after time. Well done!
@drsomma Thanks! Two programmers (one has a background in visual art & design but is a software dev), two artists (both fine arts and one with tattoo background experience, using Procreate) and one music/sound artist. We thought of the idea using sticky notes and a big pad of paper, and then sort of tweaked it a bit as we went. So... did we have a pro designer... nah, just trying to learn as we go :)
Really nice entry! Took a bit to figure out how to play (and I had a bit of trouble figuring out what some of the plants were) but experimentation is rewarded and seems to be part of the intended design so it was rewarding once it worked. I also really enjoyed the art style and humour
@maimai Thanks! We definitely learned what we would do differently next time (like, start with a basic shopping list... flour, rice, etc, and not start with noodles right away haha) so I'm glad LD exists for us to experiement and learn about game making. The feedback really helps because its nice to see things from other person's eyes!
while i love the graphics, i dislike not being able to put my crops where i want.
Wow, great game! It's a neat concept, and I like how the screen fills progressively with junk as a time constraint. The graphics and animations are awesome! I couldn't figure out how to make the cola, but that's a minor thing. Thanks for the cool game!
Really liked this experience, and it played perfectly on my phone too which was a cool surprise! The sound design was very juicy and the artwork for the crops was probably my favorite part, I was especially charmed by the fried egg plant.
I wish there was something that could be done to remove toxic sludge, I would often feed a character several at a time just to clear then out. I quickly went to a strategy of filling the entire screen with crops to try to block out those cute alien guys, which was fun to figure out. Also i found most of the recipes intuitive except for dumpling, never figured out what carb you were supposed to use / what the filling might have been....
Altogether a very well put together game with lovely art, polish, and gamefeel! Well done guys:^)
Good job! Sound and visuals were fun. The game felt pretty intuitive as far as ingredient choices went. Cute experience :)
@lizelive yeah for sure! Our first idea was to be able to put crops as a click and drag. Unfortunately we ran out of time but we agree with you 100% :)
