Great concept, very imaginative! The concepts are very well introduced, this is well designed. Thanks for the game!

Great concept, very imaginative! The concepts are very well introduced, this is well designed. Thanks for the game!
What a glorious game! I love the graphics and sound design, it definitely stands out with its unique identity. I had mostly no trouble adjusting to the controls but I lost lots of ants to the bird and bushes until I learned their pattern. All in all, a short & sweet experience!
Amazing work for such a short time! I enjoyed playing a lot. It took me some time to figure out I had to kill all the enemies but once I did, I had fun hunting them all down :D
What a superb game! The art is gorgeous and the game system is simple but very well thought. The things I have to say have already been said, it can be a bit frustrating when a rift opens up directly under a fairy, and hand placing fairies and fruits could something cause a time handicap to close a rift.
The blender at the end doesn't really look like the rest of the game, was it wanted or by lack of time? Anyway, great job!
Wow, not only is it gorgeous, it's also easy to understand and very well designed for a jam game, especially for a single person game! Congratulations and thanks for this game. I would definitely pay for a fully-fledged version.
Being a fan of card games and old school pokemon, I love your game. Your art is great, and I found it as easy to understand as it is to play. I also loved that you gain experience even if you lose, because I was demolished at the first fight (the revenge was sweet!). The upgrade mechanics are a great addition.
One thing I would have added is a way of knowing how many battles you must still win to win the game, for instance showing a tournament bracket between fights. Some sound effects were a bit loud, and some music would have been nice, but for a jam game, this is awesome. Also, I found little incentive to switch off my initial faybound creatures as the ones you get after you win are often under-leveled but besides that, I only have praise. Great job! I'd gladly play a more fleshed out version of this :D
(Also I don't know if this is intended, but my creatures didn't gain any more hp 50% of the time from level 9 onward.)
Nice vibe! I love the graphics and music. This is a nice concept, though I had to read the comments to figure out what to do. Some in-game instructions would have helped, maybe as an option on the title screen. I had a lot of fun, thanks for the great game!
It's a bit far from the theme, but it has very nice polish and I could see myself playing the full version for longer. However, if you intend to continue on this game at another jam, you may have trouble implementing another theme, and the beginning of your game probably won't follow that theme much. Anyway, great job!
It's simple yet terribly effective and satisfying when you finally get a melody from your keyboard! Great job :D
That was certainly original :) I kinda liked the humor and what interactivity it has!
Very immersive and gloomy! I love the atmosphere. On my first play the spider surrounded my before I had a chance to find a tree because I lost all of my mana on the first one (couldn't tell if I was harming it). Cool game, though, great work!
It's great that you decided to publish your game as extra instead of giving up, because this is a very cool concept, I love it! It was sometimes frustrating to be captured by an unseen queen or pawn, and exploration was sometimes a bit tedious, but all in all I had a great time, good work! I would be interested to play an improved version, maybe with 3D graphics and ambient lighting, it would add to the atmosphere.
Thanks for sharing your game!
Great little game! I spent my first try only picking fruits on the tree just to see its reactions and got a score or 1770. Love what you did with such a simple premise!
Such a relaxing and beautiful experience... I like the simple and cute premise! Everything is gorgeous, your 2.5D graphics are superb. Also, it was a good idea to place the burrow at the bottom left of the map as it made orientation very easy.
I spent all the game running away from the scarecrow and only realized that they couldn't hurt me when I had collected the 50 veggies. Is it wanted? Also, a cute ending screen would have been nice. Anyway, I'm bookmarking your game as one of my favorites. Great job!
Great game! It looks awesome, and the music is excellent, you can feel the tension growing! It wasn't obvious to me at the start that you could cut your trees to grow more, but once I did understand, I won easily, but in a very satisfactory way. Great job! :)
Wow, this is on another level of cool! I will definitely add it to my emulation setup :D The gameplay is simple yet addictive, the arcade feel is spot on. A good addition for the future could bee a 2-player coop mode. I hope you will get your 20 votes! Amazing job!
It's beautiful and zen, and fits the theme perfectly! But I couldn't figure out the controls, or maybe my browser (brave) doesn't support your game sadly :(
I think a short explanation of the controls, and more visual indications to get the timing right would have helped tremendously.
Great game! I'm in love with the graphics and humor, this is an impressive job!
Wow, great game! I love the chill, no-stress experience combined with the elegant simplicity of a single button gameplay... very contemplative and original, great work! Is there an end? I got to tree 21 and purchased every possible upgrade but the game kept going... In any case, this is one of my favorites.
The controls are a bit stiff and the attack doesn't seem to trigger every time, but this is a cool concept and I like the ability to upgrade your character. The art is great too, good job!
The game is a bit laggy on my browser, maybe because of the numerous lighting effects. I enjoyed playing for a bit but the hitbox detection is a bit unpredictable, you don't always know if you're going to hsrvest or die. A system to make the vampire move faster when he has not fed and then slower when his stomach is full could be a great addition, maybe with a coffin somewhere to rest.
Impressive game! I love the graphics and sense of speed, and who knew harvesting crops with a plane could be so satisfying :D Great work!
It's indeed unclear how to get seeds, I had to read the comments too to figure it out, but this is a cool concept! Thanks for sharing your game!
Amazing game! The art is superb and very cohesive, a tad too dark but it fits the atmosphere very well. This is a great concept, it's impressive that you did this in 72h!
This is a fantastic compo game, I love the surreal graphics! The controls explanations are somewhat unclear but when you get it, it plays very well.
Nice game! I love the visuals :D Like many others, it took me a while to get it, maybe a small tutorial level could have helped, or animations to go with the text, but once you get it it's a lot of fun! Great job!
This looks beautiful and awesome! Unfortunately, I can't run your build on MacOS (intel) :(
Screen Shot 2023-01-13 at 2.02.04 AM.png
I'll try later on windows, I don't want to miss this.
Just tried it. I love the minimalist esthetics and relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed placing a few vegetables and leave the game window open on my desktop to watch them grow and replicate slowly. Nice automaton game, great work!
It fits the theme perfectly and has potential, but I couldn't figure what to do either. I think a short tutorial screen or on screen instructions would have helped. Also, a simple selling system could have acted as a score. But as a prototype, you have the start of something cool :)
Same, I tried to download the project and run it in godot but some dependecies were broken :/
I played for hours, which is saying a lot. Great work, it's a great system! I found the play area a bit big and empty for the number of plots you can have, and I would have loved being able to buy from the shop "indefinitely" (with increasing prices).
Definitely one of my favorite games. Awesome work!
It's a pretty game, and I love the concept! I found the controls a bit too clunky and had trouble with simple tasks like watering the seeds, but I can see the potential.
This is a neat game! I love the minimalistic artstyle, and the game design is excellent. This is very well polished too :D
Awesome-looking game! I found the harvesting segments a bit long and felt that they slowed the game too much, but the rhythm portion was a lot of fun. The UI for your and your opponent's scores during the dancing segments was inconsistent with the rest, which is a shame because the rest of the UI is gorgeous.
Also, adding bee-movie to people's youtube watching history is definitely not nice XD
But kidding aside, great game!
Great use of the theme! I would have liked to be able to harvest organ from the bottom of the conveyor belt, but besides that, it's a fun time :)
I love the aesthetics of your game, the graphics and UI are very cohesive and it looks gorgeous! The gameplay is solid too, I love the combination of card game and real time. The only thing I would have changed is the music, which I felt didn't match the theme/ambience of the game, but besides that, fantastic work!

... This is as far as I could get :slight_frown: I love it for the fact that it's a Ludum Dare board game alone, but I couldn't understand the rules, especially when it came to moving and using the oracular dice. rubr's comment sums up well what confused me as well.
Maybe a "Watch it played" video (ideally with Rodney Smith) would have helped to understand the flow of the game?
Still, it's a great entry and I would definitely bring it to my table again (probably with 2 players) with updated rules. This seems solid and I too love the innovative ideas and your creativity, and it made me curious to take a look at your other creations on itch! Great job!
Very relaxing! Buying the upgrades and watching the engine work by itself is very satisfying. I love the stats at the end, especially the number of clicks wich allows to calculate the ratio of wheat auto-harvested vs all harvested wheat. I bought every upgrade before buying my freedom because I didn't want it to end. Great job!
Great game, simple and effective! I agree that the number of people increases a bit too fast, but it's good fun nonetheless.
Wow, I love it!! It's really cute and chaotic, even with only 3-4 veggies. It's the kind of simple fun I'm looking for when I play jam games. Thanks for the experience!
I liked it a lot! It gets chaotic pretty fast. Simple and effective :D
It's really easy because the enemies are very slow and stick together, and you move way faster than them, but for a game jam game to me this is a good point. The map may be a little big and empty at some places, but beside that I love the graphics and atmosphere. Thanks for the game!
Fantastic-looking game, great job! I enjoyed playing a lot. I wish there was a score, but besides that, this is very imaginative and cool.
Gorgeous game! That level of polish is impressive, I enjoyed to bullet type gameplay. Kudos for the cover art too, it's professional!
I love the graphics, the idea is simple but works well. It's a bit unclear what to do if you don't read before playing, but besides that, good job!
Your game is gorgeous! :D it’s simple and effective, though either I’m terrible at it or it’s a bit short, because I was overrun pretty quickly :( I killed only 14 farmers and it felt like less than a minute before the screen was suddenly crowded by so many farmers that I had no hope of surviving at all. But the music and art are top-notch!
Très beau jeu! I could relate with the story, it resonates with me. The art is gorgeous, this is mighty impressive for a solo game! I wouldn’t mind playing a complete version that would span the character’s entire life. I think a system of « karma points » that could be earned and used to influence the dice rolls could be a cool addition. Thanks for this very nice narrative experience!
Very relaxing and gorgeous, amazing game!
Wow, another clicker, I love it  I found it well balanced a fun to play. The graphics are gorgeous, too! I maxed out everything but the level , but I couldn't unlock that last trophy either. Great work!
Screen Shot 2023-01-26 at 6.57.43 AM.png
This is great, nice work! I had a good run until my cards wouldn't stack anymore due to a bug, but I was hooked. Great combination of ideas :D
Great concept! I'm not used to visualizing Conway's game of life in my head though, I feel like if it had slightly simpler rules for alive/dead, that would have done a lot more for this game.
I too wish the designs on the cards were no AI generated, but besides that, it's a sweet, short, simple and beautiful. It has great potential!
This is great! I love how simple and easy to understand the game is, yet it requires good skills and observation to master. I would love if the music accelerated the nearer a flower is to the top, like in Tetris. Besides that, I too found the hitboxes a bit small. Oh, and that title may be my favorite of all the game I've seen so far, bonus points for that :D Great job!
I love the art and atmosphere a lot, this is a calm and relaxing experience. I too didn't understand at first and couldn't finish the game, but I like what I say and heard. Audio cues to know if the flowers are correctly placed could help. Besides that, great job!
It took me 131 seconds. I'm in love with the minimalistic graphics, the game is simple but works really well. I also like that it's not stressful. Great job!
I like the graphics and atmosphere a lot, it's very cute! Different mushroom workers with special abilities could be a nice addition with more level design. I enjoyed my short playthrough, thanks!
Your game is adorbs, I had a great time! The gameplay is simple but the great animations make it very enjoyable, and it's juste the perfect length to not become repetitive. Great job!
Excellent story and graphics! I had some difficulty with the controls too but I like the humor.
I didn't know what to expect when launching the game and it was indeed an original concept. I think gaining more than one wheat when you harvest it would have been nice, so you can ultimately fill your plot. I like your graphics, they make me nostalgic :)
Thank you for sharing this beautiful story, it’s very emotional and relatable. I like how you used the [] characters to convey hearing problems and then showed the other side of the call. I think it’s very cool for you to have chosen this type of game, and it’s a vibrant hommage to a loved one.
Sailing on grass is beautiful and very poetic, I love the atmosphere of your game! The grass blades are superb. The lack of landmarks made orientation harder to me than it could have been, and I think sailing in circles was starting to make me a bit nauseous, but that's just me. It's more than impressive that your engine can do this, congrats on making something so cool!
Wow I love your game! This is a great example of simple mechanics done perfectly right and I played way longer than I thought I would. Definitely one of my favorites! Thanks for the game!
Screenshot 2023-01-09 at 5.10.24 PM.png
Nice idea, I like the MS-Paint art style :) I ran into a few bugs : when I accidentally clicked "Save and quit", I was unable to resume my progress when clicking "Continue" because the game froze. I had to refresh the page and start from the beginning. On day 11, on the tomato screen the dialogue wasn't read and the game froze again :(
It's also not very obvious that you can click on the bridge or fence to go there, some kind of thext or highlighting effect could have helped.
Besides that, it's a neat little concept!
Wow, great game! It's a neat concept, and I like how the screen fills progressively with junk as a time constraint. The graphics and animations are awesome! I couldn't figure out how to make the cola, but that's a minor thing. Thanks for the cool game!
It took me some time to get the controls too but once I did, I had a ton of fun! This is a superb game :D
I love it! It's a great concept, and nicely implemented in such a short time! I'm a fan of card games, and I would love to see a full card list with quantities to print and play it at home. Great job!
I'm in love with that MS-Paint look! I got lost a lot in the huge map and didn't go very far, but the atmosphere is great.
I enjoyed every second of it! This is art in its purest form :D Congrats and thanks for the game!
Great game! I love the style and humor. I got out of bounds at one point bus was teleported right back in. It's a satisfying play, thanks for the game :D
Very soothing experience, I like these kind of games the most. It's visually gorgeous and plays really well, but it can feel a bit tedious when you're searching for the one last fish that you miss to complete your fish-o-dex (I'm looking at you, snappy snapper!). In the end I quit the game after having searched for it for more than 10 minutes and fishing randomly.
Besides that, I found some fish hard to differentiate (the catfish), and found some big empty spaces without any fish in it, but that really all I have to say. Great job, loved it!
The art is superb, and the shooting noises cracked me up! I love how simple and effective, it's easy to get into. Great job!
It looks very nice for a very first game, this is impressive! The gameplay seems really interesting. I wanted to try it but I can't get the controls to work, I tried clicking and some keys but I get no reaction :(
I used gdevelop5 too :D
Cool game! The controls are nice, though I had a bit of trouble controlling the ship when the mouse is near it. The UI and graphics are very well assorted, it has a nice polish!
Wow, your graphics are gorgeous! I had some trouble with the physics too, but I enjoyed the experience, and I would definitely play a completed or updated version. Great job, the animation work alone is worth 5 stars to me!
It's nice to see another clicker game! I enjoy this kind of relaxing experience and the simplicity of the gameplay. This is a solid game, well done!
I made it to ten before falling hard and giving up, but I enjoyed the experience! Nice sound design and graphics, though the music gets repetitive. Also the physics look top-notch to me!
The controls are slightly easier than I thought they would be, great game!
You can get quite a lot richer with the other fruits :D Thanks a lot for the feedback!
@recursiveanomaly I wanted to check your game, but it slows my browser to a crawl before even fully loading :( It looks gorgeous though! Knowing that it's also a clicker makes me want to check it more, I'll try with an other machine.
Thanks @jellybean I appreciate the feedback! I actually lowered the costs of bananas and clementines quite a lot just before publishing, to make the game more accessible for bite-sized sessions and to allow players to hack it and feel good about that :D I intend to keep working on it, your ideas are noted!
Thanks for playing @nyxkn and for the useful feedback! There's actually an end screen when the 5 minute timer ends, and I lowered the costs for the jam sake, but I see your point about the costs being too similar which directs the player directly to the bananas. I'll keep that in mind when I rework it!
@jeremy-scott-olsen thanks for playing and for the valuable feedback! I tweeked the balance right at the minute to make it easier but it needs some solid rework because the ceiling is reached way too fast now. I like your idea of spoiling fruits a lot, thanks for the suggestion!
@phillip-scott Wow thanks!! :D You actually beat my girlfriend's 147k score... You deserve a medal!! :medal:
Thank you everyone for your kind feedback!
@joshedev This is beyond awesome! :astonished: You deserve at least two medals! :medal: :medal: Your comment means a lot to me because it was exactly the kind of simple fun I was aiming for. I'm glad you enjoyed it! The bug you're mentioning happened occasionally during development but I couldn't uproot it before the deadline.
@koboldskeep I thought auto harvest, but decided against it because I thought it would take away from the "oddly fun" aspect of click-mashing and leave the player with nothing to do. But if there were more elements, like time limited bonuses or fluctuating selling price per fruit, or debt like you said, I think auto-harvest would fit. At the end of the day, I chose a simple direction for my game to avoid scope creep and have something that works reasonably well.
@xlores-liang Yeah, those arrows really aren't visible enough :( About planting more tree, I wanted to zoom out the tree and allow for way more, but my "jam" code would have crumbled under its own weight
@zluca, I thought so too, better to easy than too hard and frustrating! I love how the poor balance allows for "unreasonable" scores like joshedev's and pillip-scott's, I'm amazed how high it can actually go! But the balance could have been better, that was one of the hardest part for me.
@moonlightbomber Thank you! Everything but the text was indeed hand-drawn and colored in crayon by my girlfriend :)
Thanks a lot everyone for playing and your kind words!
@juxipolo My, you're right! I don't know how I didn't catch this until now... Thanks for pointing it out! I do hope your finger is doing better.
@gamebuilder wow, thanks so much for sharing this! Indeed a score of 53k is no joke, it's better than my personal best :D I'm glad you enjoyed it that much!
Thanks a lot @keichits! I had to make difficult choices and rush the balance a bit, but I intend to keep working on it with my girlfriend doing the art.
Thanks everyone for your awesome feedback!
@schmalex Thanks so much! I will start to balance it properly and improve it now that the jam is over. From your screenshot, I can see you were pretty close to discovering the hidden message I hid in the ending screen :) (So hidden that no one actually discovered it... oh well!). Thanks for playing!
@honey-pony I'm humbled that you took the time to give such thorough feedback. I'm so glad you could see what I was aiming for! I will take everything into account when reworking the game. About the sound effect, I wanted a popping sound because that's what I heard in my head while playing. It's a single sound effect file, but I used a random pitch between 0.9~1.4 each time its played to add a tiny bit of variety :) The next version will be (way) less tiring while conserving the scoring system. Thank you again!
@teto Thanks for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the vibe :D UI was the least fun to make for me, I'm not used to it yet, and I'll take your input in consideration. And indeed, what you got with your clementine trees was a bug, the infamous "dead tree" bug that I couldn't get rid of before the deadline :( At the very least, I thought it would add flavour and force players to cut them and regrow them, so who knows, maybe it's a feature instead!
And finally before the curtain falls, here is my girlfriend's latest score :v:
IMG_3003.PNG
I like it a lot! The title screen is gorgeous, the music for a puzzle, the gameplay is very chill (bonus points for the red/green highlighting of the plants). It's easy to get into, a fun and an original take on the theme. It's still about "harvest" if the goal is to destroy them after all :D
@danmerey, I think they opted out from graphics because they used ready-made assets, it's in the credits.
Wow, it's a great concept and very nicely executed! I found myself head banging in rythm with the sunflower :D I had a lot of fun and wished there was more levels. Awesome job!
I enjoyed this a lot! I died many times in the first half while I was getting used to the controls, and I'm not sure I like the controls: I did fine with alternating between the space key and left click on my laptop touchpad, but I think it would be way harder with a mouse.
Great job! I would definitely play a complete version with more levels and enemies.
Wow, this is a cool game! I love the graphics and mood and the simplicity of the gameplay makes it all shine. It's very well executed, great job!
It's a cute game! The controls definitely take time to get used to, but they make sense. I wasn't sure what to collect and what to avoid and the score could have been shown more prominently when the time is up, but it's pleasant to play.
Great use of the theme! I had a lot fun :) I love it when the music changes, it puts me in the mood for a good shotgun fight!
I've found a creative way to kill the watermelon: My girlfriend manages the mouse while i'm focusing on dodging with the arrow keys. It's almost a shame they don't give points! I enjoyed going back to your game as I was showing my favorites games to her :D
I love your game, it's a lot of fun! This is simple and very effective, and the upgrade system offers interesting choices. Congrats!
It's a beautiful game, I love the graphics! But I've tried 5 times and on every attempt I lost in less than 3 seconds, before even understanding what I have to do (besides clicking the egg to get it, but it appears roughly when the 3 foxes are on my chicken). Is it just bad luck, or am I supposed to jump into action faster? Reading the other comments, it looks like it's just me though.
I think giving time to the player at the beginning of the game to understand the basics and prepare some basic defence would help a lot, but I'm not familiar with tower defence games, so it might be just me.
It's impressive for a jam game! I love the idea of having random events. It was a bit complex to understand at first, I used trial and error a lot to get what is going on, but once you get it, it's a fun game :) I like the graphics and limited colors a lot.
On a side note, the screen was cropped in fullscreen mode, the harvest button isn't fully visible. I'm using Edge.
Your game is STYLISH! This is an astounding level of polish. It's a great take on the theme, and it's intuitive and a lot of fun. I have nothing but praise to say about this. Amazing work!!
Cool game! I like the simple graphics and gameplay, it's fun to manipulate enemy movement to get them all once. It's simple and effective, good work!
I really like the visuals and animation, this is a cool concept!
So simple and effective! I had a lot of fun! I was able to survive for a good 4 minutes but I was quickly overrun after that.
I had some trouble adjusting to the controls and had to read the instructions multiple times too. I think that when you right click to start on your path, if you haven't left clicked, that right click should validate your path like a left click and then start the truck.
But once I got it, I found your game very ingenious, and I absolutely adore that clean visual style 😁 Excellent work! This is a brilliant game that's perfectly aligned with the theme.
I love the sound design and humor, it gives your game unique identity 😁 I had some trouble understanding everything too, but I love how you don't take too seriously. Awesome work!
Your game is so cute!! This is a simple but really cool concept, I see what you are going for. Great job! My only complain is that it's a bit hard to drop the egg exactly where you want, I often ended up dropping it on the floor. Having dedicated spots to deposit the eggs could have helped. Good job!
I really love this immersive type of game where you piece the story little by little and only your own knowledge allows you to progress. Extra points for originality!
I played on my Ipad, and got Peace on Earth with only 3 misses! However, all those misses were unavoidable because Santa dropped them directly next to the border of the screen :slight_frown: But that's really my only complain, it's a lot of fun! I love how simple and effective this is. I'm getting slight Ski Free vibes, which I love. Cool game!
I had some trouble with the difficulty too, but I love the graphics and use of the theme. With some more balancing this can be an amazing game. Great work!
I love the humor, and it's one of the most original game I've seen this jam. Awesome work, it was lots of fun to play!
I could only play the web version embedded in your ldjam page, there seems to be a problem with your itch upload : Unable to parse Build/LD53Web.framework.js.br! This can happen if build compression was enabled but web server hosting the content was misconfigured to not serve the file with HTTP Response Header "Content-Encoding: br" present. Check browser Console and Devtools Network tab to debug.
Besides that, I love the graphics and the system seems very solid and interesting. I had trouble guessing whose turn it was to move but that may be just because of the
I love your game, it's good, simple fun! Perfect for a jam game 🙂 It's a bit too easy, but better that than the opposite. Great work!
Kiki was the first thing I thought about too! Your game is really effective, the controls have just the right amount of slippery-ness 😁 The explore mode is an excellent addition, since just flying around is a lot of fun too. Great work!
I love the low poly art style and humor, and that guy is quite dedicated to his job! The thing got me before I could reach building 53 because I couldn't find a replacement weapon. Great eerie atmosphere! Even though I couldn't finish your game, I had fun.
Wow, your game is gorgeous, and that level of polish is truly astounding! The voice acting bring a lot to the game  It's exceedingly rare to see an option menu, especially as well furnished as yours is, bonus points for that! Configuring the arrow keys instead of WASD gave me some trouble because the order is a bit scrambled. Beside that, great work, and awesome team coordination!
Good luck for your job hunt, I hope it'll go well! I had a really good time, I love the concept of a 5 minute visual novel that you can play several times to get different endings. Great use of the theme, and I enjoyed the story and characters. I like being able to select the character I want to talk to by walking to them, that with the nice parallax scrolling add a lot to the game. I played the web version since I'm using a Mac, and the transitions between each lines of dialogues were indeed a bit rough.
I love the graphics of the city! The character looks a bit out of place, but besides that with a bit of balancing it can be a lot of fun. Great take on the theme, too!
So slippery!! I had some trouble delivering the ore, but that's what makes it fun  Simple and effective! Great take on the asteroid concept!
Your game looks awesome! I had trouble with the movement, there seems to be a lot of momentum, and when you get hit, the camera spins uncontrollably, which is disorienting. I didn't get very far because of that, but I enjoyed the atmosphere quite a lot. Also, thanks for including a M1 Mac build!
I had some trouble figuring out what to do, but reading the comments helped a lot. The comic remind me of Angry Birds too, nice touch! And I love the visuals 😁
@kylethecoder It is, isn't it? Thanks a lot for playing!
Thank you @xlores-liang! So cool to see you back for LD53! I found a way to disable that icon (didn't think I could), I'll update my game before the deadline.
@volnyii Thanks! :smile:
@xlores-liang Usually, I don't either, but this time I was trying to go for a retro pokemon-style look. It's true that managing collisions is a chore in gdevelop, I could have done it better (and cleaner) but I opted for the quick and dirty way, ie using a fully assembled tiled map as a single png, plus an overlay png for treetops and such!
@tofucat Your feedback is invaluable, especially so early while I still have time to fix things. Many thanks!! I'm not a WASD player and didn't think to test that control scheme... it works now. I have also added to more NPCs to clarify how to progress in the game, one is near the house at the beginning and provides a general piece of hint, and the other straight up tells you what to do according to how far you're in the game.
If you can spare a few more minutes, would you like to try again? The game only takes 2-5 minutes to beat.
@tofucat Many thanks for giving it another go! I'm glad you enjoyed the improvements 😁 Sadly I didn't have time to publish the fix to the dad route, but thanks to you my game is way more intuitive!
@dzejpi Thanks a lot for your kind words! they are very encouraging to me  Indeed, sometimes the path is too narrow and dialogue triggers accidentally, I will move some NPCs in more open spaces post jam to mitigate that.
@johnsensei Wow, thank you for such a great compliment! I'm a massive Persona fan, I played through Persona 3 way more times than I care to admit, so much that even the minor social links feel like family members to me now  I wanted this to feel mostly like a quick mix between Earthbound and old school Pokemon with some Persona-like music on top, I'm really glad I struck a chord with you. GDevelop is quite easy to learn and use, I'm currently making a 3D dungeon crawler that's inspired by the older shin megami tensei games with it, the first part is on my itch page if you want to check it out sometime! 🤓
@ruruie Yeah, that neighbor just doesn't realize what you've been through! Thanks a lot for playing!
Thank you @kingzero and @kristallllllik, I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
@iggy-lonely Thanks! I stand by that mini game 🙂 The ball was originally a doll, but I changed it to add a bit of variety to the gameplay, plus it fit perfectly in the narrative. Similarly I wanted to include a sokoban-like section with the barrels, but at that point I needed some sleep in order to be able to go through my working week 😅
Thank you everyone for giving my game a go! Due to unfortunate circumstances I didn't even have half the time to make it, but all things considered I'm pretty pleased how it turned out.
@balimaarthebassfish Thanks for your very kind words! I always have some issueor other with GDevelop and music, there must be something I'm not quite doing right, but I'm happy that you still had a good time!
@yuriscat Thank you for your praise! I'm glad it struck a chord with you 😊
@infinatefalcon @5huno-3 @theparticularpixel @paul-maxime @tex-killer This was my first time making a topdown game and I took some shortcuts, but I took note of what I could do better next time. The collision masks were a bit rushed, so that can easily be fixed. I'm glad you enjoyed the game anyway!
Thanks a lot for your king words @tan90 and @nekuake ! I don't know MINIT, but I have to check it out now. Thank you!
@tofucat Many thanks again for your comment that helped me realize the game wasn't nearly as evident as I thought, thanks to you a lot more people enjoyed the game 😁
This is the best twist on Sokoban I've ever seen! The difficulty is just right and the graphics are really cute. Excellent work!
Wait, I know that guy! Great game, it feels very polished, I love the pseudo voices and amazing pixel art! The phone constantly ringing is very stressing, which is great for this type of game. I could clear the leaderboard at the end of the game, is that intentional or does it only affect my score?
Wow, your game looks gorgeous! The UI is very polished and reminiscent of Persona 5, I love it!
I like the graphics, it has a board game vide that I enjoy. It's pretty neat as a basis for a bigger game, nice work!
Awesome art style! Excellent take on the theme, too 🙂
Nice platformer, I love the graphics and narration at the beginning! However, I feel like the theme is only vaguely implied by the intro cutscene, never to be seen again during gameplay which is a shame. Also, being immobilized in mid-air when you're hit by a bullet can result in very cheap deaths 😕 I also died by going too high in the sky trying to bypass the vending-machine style enemy, don't know if that's normal.
