One of the most polished LD52 games I've tried so far. Audio and graphics are both amazing, and so is the "blood harvesting" core mechanic. It suits an infiltration-type game perfectly, and adds a lot of pressure on you (and you can easily balance the level design with the shadow gates, which are a cool find as well).
I like tower defenses where you have to trap the tiles, so you had me sold on that! Some interesting concepts such as reputation and nice SFX overall (it does feel good to impale those petty thieves). As some people mentioned, the game can get a bit laggy, and I feel that some buttons can be a bit annoying.
Animations and sprites are really cool, and so is the music, I jammed to it pretty hard!
The core concept of the game is interesting, but I feel the seed mechanic is a bit clunky as of now. The idea of spawning defenders is neat though.
I guess games like these often come down to how the controls feel, and it's super hard to fine-tune this in such a limited amount of time. Nevertheless, great job guys, I had a lot of fun :)
Really nice game, I feel some (most!) levels are truly elegant because the solution often requires you to plant veggies following symmetrical patterns, which is super satisfying :D
Also, kudos to the music, simple and smooth.
If you ever develop the game further, I feel that you should be able to access the veggie rules somewhere without having to go back to the main screen.
I enjoyed your game! Only potential downside for me is the music which can get a tad annoying 😂
I feel there's a lot of potential to a split-screen TD game, for example the tasks to perform in the left window could get more and more complex, requiring either more aim skills and/or some basic puzzle solving. In addition, waves could become more intense and tower placement more "spammy" (basically you'd have to build/upgrade a lot of stuff in order not to leak any ennemies). Then the game would be an interesting multitasking challenge!
But tbh the gameplay felt great to me and I had fun, well done!!

Well done to the team who made this!
